Chapter 28: Marmalade's new plot
After putting the pieces together on what just happened, the bad guys all slowly started to panic. Diane of course was the most panicked out of all upon seeing her pup gone and now more likely in danger in the hands of Marmalade who took Jet to who knows where out of sight.
"Guys...I think we...we got ourselves a break-in and a kidnapping." Mr. Wolf regretfully informed
"No! Oh NO!" Diane exclaimed with a knife jabbing feeling in her heart as she tried her best to keep herself together
Ms. Tarantula on the other hand quickly scuttles over to the broken-in window, jumps up onto the sill ledge and looks outside of the hideout scanning the area below to at least try to catch a glimpse of Marmalade getting away with Jet. She looks left and right on corners and building structures. To Tarantula's dismay, Marmalade was no where at all to be seen. That's when her eyes landed on a nearby scorched and severely damaged electrical power breaker box letting out sparks. But not just any breaker box, the breaker box that managed power to the hideout.
"Oh fudge!" Tarantula thought as she got her answer on why the power was out
Ms. Tarantula then moves her eyes up and to her luck, she spots an active security camera mounted on a nearby warehouse building and it was pointing directly at the hideout.
A few hours have passed since the break-in and the dawn morning light was now starting to barely rise above the horizon illuminating the sky orange all above Los Angeles.
5 AM
We now cut over to Jet who was sleeping unconcious in someplace unknown while still in his pajamas. When a slight cool breeze brushed over his body and caused him to slowly awake from his slumber.
"Mmmm...mmm. Huh?" Jet mumbled as he sat up and rubbed his eyes
While rubbing his eyes, Jet blindly tries to stand up but...
*BONK!*
"OUCH!" Jet bursted after hitting his head on something that was hard and metal just above him causing him to fall back down on his rear.
"Ow that hurts! W-Where am I!?" Jet exclaimed as he rubbed his head in pain
Jet looked all around his surroundings and to his confusion, he found himself sitting inside a large square metal cage with inch thick chrome bars in a large mysterious dark room full of computers, mechanical tools, and rocket engineering related gadgets. Jet inspects the door of the cage and tries to open it but of course he couldn't. It had a heavy duty padlock on it and a steel chain for extra security.
"Umm H-Hello!? Where am I!? Mommy!? Help I'm stuck!" Jet called out in panic as he tried to find another way to open the cage but to no avail
"Well goodmorning my little hostage."
A deep evil sounding voice from out of nowhere made Jet gasp a little.
"Hello? Who's there?" Jet said as he started to grow nervous
That's when a small furry figure in a white tuxedo outfit stepped out into the light and walked up to Jet with his hands behind his back. The figure was none other than Professor Marmalade himself. And of course this was Jet's very first time to meet him so he was surprised.
"You have a goodnight sleep you furry little one?" Marmalade said with an evil grin
"Wh-Who are you? Why am I here? Can you let me out?" Jet asked nervously as he looked at the guinea pig before him
"Let you out? Oh I'm terribly sorry I'm afraid I can't do that young one." Marmalade said as he took out a comb and casually groomed himself while giving a cunning glare to Jet
"Why not? I want my mommy!" Jet pleaded
"Why? Well it's because I know you make a perfect little bait to make them come to me. Hehehehahahaha!" Marmalade laughed evily while crushing the comb in his hands in an intimidating way
The evil menacing laugh was enough to convince Jet that the guinea pig he was talking to was a walking red flag that he had to scream out for help.
"HELP! HELP! MOMMY! MR. WOLF! SOMEBODY HELP! I'M TRAPPED!" Jet screamed in panic as he gripped the cage bars
"Hehehehe! Call for help all you like. No one is going to hear you. You are in a place that hasn't been touched in a decade." Marmalade said
"Just who are you!? You kidnapped me right? Why did you kidnap me!? And what do you mean by 'Make them come'?" Jet asked in fright
"Why did I kidnap you? Hehehe! Great question. Allow me to explain." Marmalade said
A few hours earlier
After taking down Ms. Tarantula's surveillance drone, Marmalade proceeds on his search for the bad guys hideout.
"That drone obviously had to be from them. Now where could those furry fools be living?" Marmalade asked himself as he climbed up a roof access ladder of a large warehouse building
After reaching the rooftop of the building, Marmalade walks over to the other side of the roof and takes out a pair of night vision binoculars. He holds them up over his eyes and begins scanning the area before him.
"I swear to myself I will have my big revenge on those 'Lame' guys. A revenge that's far more worse than a dish served cold...Oh hold on...what do we have here."
Marmalade zooms his binoculars on a random building which happened to be the bad guys hideout. Through one of the windows of the hideout, Marmalade could see Mr. Wolf and Diane sleeping soundly together in a bedroom.
"Hehehehehe Yes! Finally! I have found the wolf and his foxy ally. And it appears they became a thing while I was locked away. Now I can finally give them a big surprise and make sure they-"
Marmalade stops mid sentence when he catches sight of Jet sleeping on the couch in the main room in the next window over.
"Oh what's this? They have an offspring!?" Marmalade assumed as he zoomed in further on Jet
Upon seeing Jet sleeping in the same hideout and contemplating for a few minutes, Marmalade lowers his binoculars as he starts to get a new idea in his head.
"Hmmm. I think that wolf pup would make a perfect little hostage." Marmalade grinned to himself
Back to present
"And that's why I kidnapped you. You're lovely wolf and fox should be here pretty soon now along with their lousy friends. And once they arrive, I will make sure they won't stop me from succeeding my next big plan. A plan that's far more big and ominous than my previous plan that failed miserably because of those filthy animals and their wolf leader...Oh my name's Marmalade by the way." Marmalade said as he turned around and started walking away from Jet
Upon hearing Marmalade's explanation, Jet instantly became furious.
"YOU MONSTER! YOU'RE VERY MEAN! I HATE YOU! MY MOM IS GONNA KILL YOU! *GROWL!*"
Jet shouted as he growled and snarled while viciously biting on the bars of the cage like a normal angry wolf.
"Hehehehe! You little brat. Didn't your mommy teach you that it's not okay to throw a tantrum." Marmalade mocked with a psycho expression on his face
Jet continued biting and shaking on the cage until tiring himself out.
"I don't see a point on breaking out of that steel cage. You're a small weak child anyway." Marmalade said as he walked over to a large light switch
*Flick!*
Marmalade flips the light switch causing large bright lights to turn on illuminating the entire room.
*Gasp!* Jet gasped as he took in the sight of the lit up room around him
They were in what appeared to be a hangar of an abandoned experimental rocket silo station that was somewhere outside of LA. What stood out the most in the hangar was a large white rocket that was laying down on an assembly frame surrounded by various tool boxes and equipment. The rocket was long as an average nuclear missile. It had a single person cockpit on the nose with a small entry door behind it, 4 powerful thruster engines on the rear end, and 4 flight control fins. On top of everything, the rocket had 4 large satelite dishes attached around its mid-body and various antennas around the base near the engines.
While casually humming a tune, Marmalade grabbed a screwdriver from one of the toolboxes and walked over to the other side of the rocket out of sight. He begin working on some random part of the rocket more likely finishing off some final touches.
Meanwhile Jet was watching from his cage. Just what was this big rocket for and how long has Marmalade been working on it? And why was it covered in satelites and entenna's? A lot of questions ran through Jet's mind until he looked to his left and saw something taped on the wall of the hangar.
What was taped on the wall was a large hand drawn blueprint showing a layout of the rocket in an exploded assembly diagram. Around the drawing was lots of specifications writing for the rocket. And at the top of the blueprint written in large words was the name for the rocket. The name was WORLD DOMINATOR
Jet looks back at the rocket and sees the same named written under the cockpit windshield.
*Clang!* "OUCH!" Marmalade shouted from behind the rocket as his screwdriver fell to the ground
Marmalade comes walking out back in view in front of Jet while painfully clutching his hand.
"That stupid thing! No wonder it was cheap!"
Marmalade grumbled to himself before looking up at Jet who was curiously watching him.
"Oh I see you're very curious on what I'm working on here. This here is my next big plan. It is a special cutting edge hacking rocket that I will use to fly into the atmosphere and control every single electrical thing on earth at my fingertips. I will be controlling lights, water, computers, heck even a calculator! And once I sieze control of the entire power grid on the planet, everyone will have to obey me and meet my demands! And no one can stop me because I'll be up in space far out of reach! HEHEHEHEHAHAHAHA!" Marmalade explained before laughing like a maniac
"You're just a stupid little hamster! You're rocket is not gonna work! My mommy is still gonna kill you!" Jet angrily warned
But Jet's words fall on deaf ears as Marmalade kept laughing menacingly. Jet turned back around facing away and sadly sat while hugging his knees. He couldn't believe the bad situation he was in. Getting kidnapped and held by a psycho guinea pig. Jet also wondered how Marmalade knew the bad guys and why he had serious beef with them.
"*Sigh*...Mommy will save me. Yes. My mommy is gonna come and save me. I just know it." Jet whispered to himself trying to get a grip that there's still hope
"Oh and by the way!"
Marmalade said causing Jet to perk up and turn back around.
"You will be joining me on my journey. It will be a thrilling one! I know a lot of kids like you wish to go to space! Hehehe!" Marmalade grinned
*Gasp!* Jet gasped as he lost all his hope in a heartbeat
