Chapter 74 – The Fight Part 1

Slave 1 was approaching Thrawn ship. Inside, they all started to prepare themselves.

"Okay this is it. Once we landed, Fennec and I will take Luke to Thrawn. You three wait a few minutes and go the place you need to go."

"Got it," Rex nod.

"We all have the communicators right?" Ines asked, making everyone nod at her. "Good. We will be in touch the whole time."

"Once you got the virus, you know what to do. Give the signal so we start how attack in Thrawn room." Luke replied looking to everyone.

"Everything will be fine," Ezra smiled.

Ines looked at Boba and Fennec.

"Please take care of my husband. I trust both of you."

"Don't worry. We will. Nothing is going to happen to him," Boba said.

Ines sighed and pulled Boba into a hug, which he accepted with a smile. Pulling apart, Ines glare at him and at Fennec.

"And please take care of you two."

"Always." Fennec winked making Ines smile at her, before the two hug each other too.

They knew the start of a friendship was starting for sure.

Pulling apart, Ines looked at Luke and the couple hugged each other, feeling each other emotions and the love they had.

Looking at her husband in the eyes, Ines smiled.

"You better be careful. Remember, we promised our daughters to give them a baby sister." she tried to giggle but Luke felt how nervous she was. And he couldn't blame her since he felt the same.

"I know and I will make that happened. But you need to be careful too." he said and pulled into a kiss.

Pulling apart, they all looked at each other, while the ship landing inside.

"May the Force be with you!" Luke said to Ines, Ezra and Rex.

"May the Force be with you!" Ines and Ezra replied at the same time they walked down the ramp, with Boba and Fennec escort Luke to Thrawn's room.

"He will be okay, Ines. He is his father's son after all," Rex said smiling at her, making Ines nod while she grabbed the hat and put it on.

"Come on guys. Let's end this as quick as possible. The sooner we leave here the better."

And with that, they walked down the ramp and head through a hallways the opposite direction the other went to.

"You do know where this laboratory is right?" Rex asked walking behind them.

"Oh Yeah. Trust me. I memorize this ship while I was here," Ezra replied.

"Good. Just relax and walk like you belong here all along," Ines instructed him, sensing he was a little nervous.

"I'll try. I see you know what you are doing? Did you do this before?"

"Actually yes. When we had to rescue Leia inside the Death Star before the Battle of Yavin, with my husband and brother in law and Chewie."

"You were inside that battle station?" Ezra asked.

"Yes but lets focus on this task right now, please." she said looking at him.

Nodding, they continue to walked through the hallways, following Ezra directions. Once in a while they passed by some officers and troopers that nod at them.

After a few minutes, they entered the hallways that head to the laboratory, where they finally found the door to allow the access to enter it, but once they reached it they notice they need a card to be able to enter it.

"Great. Now what?" Ines said looking at Ezra.

"This wasn't here before. I swear."

"Thrawn made sure the virus is secure from unwanted hands," Rex said looking at it. "I can blast it, but that would bring to much attention."

"And we can't use the lightsabers to entered it cause I'm sure the alarm will go off," Ines replied.

"We need to inform the others we have a problem," Ezra said.

Looking at him, Ines was about to press the little advice they all had on their ears, when a voice came behind them.

"What are you doing here?"

Turning around they saw an officer. He had a white suit and on this left chest was a small card.

Glaring at Ezra and Rex, they all notice that too. This was the chance they needed it.

"We were sent here to check if everything is okay."

The officer frown and looked at Ines and then to Ezra and Rex.

"Why?"

"You know that we have a dangerous Jedi on board. Grand Admiral wants to make sure everything is secure." Ines continue. She knew that if the officer didn't buy that, they need to act before he sound the alarm.

"I didn't get any information about that. Besides your position is the other side of the ship. I need to check your badge number." he said.

Ezra and Ines looked at each other and both glare to Rex.

Noticing this, the officer was about to call security, but Ines was quicker and before he could grab the communicator, she kicked him on the left knee, making him groan in pain. Then with a quick movement, she grabbed his right arm, and flipping around she made flip over her. Once he was on the floor, she grabbed him by the neck from behind and choke him until he lost his senses.

When he was knocked out on the floor, she grabbed the card and pull it out.

"Damn that was quick. Where did you learn to do that?" Ezra asked.

"My dad taught me out to fight since I was 7 back in Alderaan." she said while she passed the card on the door. The moment she did that the door opened and they dragged the officer inside, and put him in a small compartment, where they tied him up and made Ezra switch suits, so it would be easier to blend in.

"Your father was preparing you for the future," Rex said with a smile.

"Yes, I know," Ines replied. "Where is this virus?" she looked at Ezra.

"There," he point.

Walking to a room, they saw inside a glass cabinet, dozens of small tubes with a red liquid inside.

"Jeez, he has being busy. He has enough virus to kill half of the galaxy," Rex said.

"We need to take all of this and make sure to destroy all the information. They can't have access create this anymore," Ines said as she grabbed a bag, and carefully she and Rex started to take the tubes, when she straight up all of the sudden.

"Ines, is everything okay?" Rex asked looking at her.

"You two continue your task. Once you got it, go to Slave 1 and stay there waiting."

"Where are you going?" Ezra asked her.

"Luke needs me." she said as she started to walked towards the door.

"Ines," Ezra called her. "May the Force be with you."

"May the Force be with both of you too," she said with a smile before leaving the place.

Thrawn Room:

Luke entered inside the room with Boba and Fennec behind him, with a gun pointing at his back. In front of him was Thrawn, sitting on his chair, with a smile on his face. For a brief moment, he felt like he was having a dejá vú moment, back to the time when he and Ines entered in the Throne Room of the Second Death Star when they all met Palpatine. The difference, his father was not by his side and he was not tied. Also his lightsaber was hidden by Fennec.

"This most be a very familiar moment to you again, right?" Thrawn spoke, making Luke looked at him, a little surprise by that.

"Actually there are some similarities. The difference I have more experience than that time." he responded never taking his eyes from this "man". He was not menacing like Palpatine but he had some presence too.

"Finally I meet the legendary Luke Skywalker. The guy who brought down the Empire and the Emperor. I met your father. Great guy!"

Luke stare at him.

"You met my father Anakin!"

"Well I met him more as Vader," he said with a smile, especially when he saw Luke's reaction. "Oh yes, I knew who your father was. I have to say that he was pretty good to hide his true identity, to some people. Not from me." he said and he looked at Boba. "Where is his lightsaber?"

"I didn't bring one. Should I? After all I thought this was a negotiation, not a fight. Isn't the reason you want to met me here?" Luke said right away.

"Indeed, but I don't believe you didn't came prepare if something bad could happen."

"Will something bad will happen?"

"Not if you want your love ones to suffer!"

"My love ones are safe right now. You can't get closer to them, Thrawn."

Thrawn glare at Luke and a smirk appeared.

"I'm not so sure about that!" he said and glaring behind Luke, making him turn and he gasped when he saw Joruus, but it was not the old clone Jedi that made him gasped, was the fact that he had Ines wrapped in his arms, with a knife pointing to her throat.

"Ines!" he said and their eyes locked on each other.

"So, how about we start with the terms of your surrender." Thrawn said.

Joruus had Ines. What will happen now?
