Hey guys and gals, welcome back to SSSS Gridman the cyber sleuth and this time around we'll be looking a bit more into Samurai Caliber.
I'll be doing this by adapting some of the smaller cases found in the game.
And to answer some of your questions, I won't be doing all of the cases but a good number of them.
But anyway with that said let's get this baby started

"Woah!" Kaito yelled, as he jumped out of the way from some falling blocks while inside of a digital area.
"Hahahahaha! This is so fun! Hi-score here I come!" He heard, looking over to see a small Poyomon messing around with the comp's data.
"Come on listen to reason! Your gonna mess up the game if you keep on playing!" Kaito said, as the Poyo growled.
"NO! I've been playing too long to just give up now!" Poyomon yelled, flying around a bit as he continued dropping blocks close to Kaito.
"He's refusing to listen to reason, should we transform and subdue him?" Gridman asked, but Kaito shook his head.
"No, that's a bit too overkill we just need to get clo-oh crap!" Kaito gasped, as he saw a block falling right above him.
"GARGOMON!" he yelled, raising the acceptor which shot out a ball of data which manifested into the green rabbit like Digimon which caught the block.
"Y-You okay, Kaito?" Gargomon asked, holding up the block as Kaito smiled while raising a thumbs up "Yeah thanks Gargomon".
Kaito then climbed up the block as he looked towards the Poyomon continuing the play the game and summon blocks.
"We need to get rid of those blocks, alright Guardomon!" Kaito yelled, raising the acceptor which shot out the robot looking digimon.
"What do you need Kaito sir!" Guardomon saluted, making Kaito smile "I need you to get rid of those falling blocks".
"Yes sir! GRENADE DESTROYER!" Guardomon yelled, as he sent several missiles towards the blocks causing several explosions.
"Thanks!" Kaito yelled, running ahead towards the Poyomon as he raised his acceptor "Just try and knock him out, okay Togemon!"
"Right on it Kaito!" Togemon yelled, appearing up in the sky as she raised a fist towards Poyomon.
"MACH JABS!" Togemon said, as she threw a ton of punches towards the Poyomon, knocking him away from the Terminal towards Kaito who caught him.
"NO! COME ON! I ALMOST GOT THE HI-SCORE! LET ME GO!" Poyomon yelled, as Kaito growled trying to keep him in place.
"N-No! Come on! They won't be able to release the game if you keep on messing up the programme! If you don't stop they might have to delete you" Kaito yelled, surprising the small digimon.
"Huh? Really…okay fine…I'll stop playing the game" Poyomon said, but with a sad look on his face "But it's just been so boring! This game was the most exciting thing I've seen so now I won't have anything left to do".
"Hmm, then how about you come with us" Kaito suggested, making the Poyomon blink as it looked up at him "I know a place where lost digimon can go and be safe from other hackers".
"Yeah! There's so many other fun digimon there" "Theres also a lot of fun games we can play too" "And the food there is pretty tasty" The others said, as Poyomon blinked before smiling.
"Okay! Yeah! Yeah! I'll totaly with you guys" Poyomon cheered, making Kaito smile as he raised his acceptor "Alright then, everyone come back into the acceptor".
The digimon nodded as they entered the acceptor before Kaito went and logged out of the computer comp.
Shinjuku
Third person P.O.V.
"You're late! Absolutely late! How long did you expect me to wait" A suited man said, as Kaito met with his client who called the detective agency hoping to get help with a glitch his companies new game was developing.
"Uh yeah sorry about that, had to some, programming? In Eden, it should be working now" Kaito said, confusing the suited man.
"What are you? Ugh, fine it better or your not getting pai-" he said, turning on his phone only to be shocked that the game was actually working "What the?! How did you".
"Uh, kind of a long story, its hard to explain" Kaito sweatdropped, rubbing his head as the man smiled.
"Well you've definitely impressed me, I'll send your fee to the detective agency when I get back" he said, before walking back to his company as Kaito smiled before turning back around and walking back to the detective agency while working on his report.
"You've impressed Kaito" Kaito heard, looking next to the reflection next to him seeing Gridman looking to him "What do you mean?".
"It's that you seem to be getting more and more used to the Digimon you now work with, and you were able to utilises the Digimon to their best ability, it's impressive how quickly your adapting to it is all" Gridman said, as Kaito nodded "Ah I getcha".
"I do wonder, whatever happened to Caliber…and what was he checking out?" Kaito said, as Gridman crossed his arms.
"Well whatever he was looking into seemed important, so its no surprise he would take so long" Gridman stated, as Kaito nodded "Yeah guess your right".
As they walked however they passed by an alleyway there was a box familiar suited man inside.
"...Eh?" Kaito blinked, before moving back and seeing it was who he thought it was in the box "Caliber-san?!".
"O-Oh….Gridman" Caliber said, looking up at Kaito who sweatdropped
"What are you doing sleeping in a box?" Kaito asked, as Caliber looked down "I-I…d-didn't k-know where y-you worked and l-lived".
"Ah well that makes sense…" Kaito said, scratching his cheek "Well I was going to head back to the agency wanna come".
"...Very well" he said, standing up but when he did they suddenly heard a large grumbling sound coming from Samurai Caliber.
"Ah um, guess your hungry…Ah I know" he said, opening his bag and taking out a hot dog with lettuce, onions and an egg on top "Here ya go, bet you're pretty hungry huh?".
Samurai Caliber looked at the food in Kaito's hand before looking toward Kaito "W-What…is y-your n-name".
"My name? It's Kaito, Kaito Aiba" he said, as Calibur nodded taking the sandwich "Y-You…are a g-good person…".
Kaito blinked in surprise at this but still smiled at Samurai Caliber's honestly as he ate the hotdog.
Kuremi Detective Agency
Third person P.O.V.
"A-Achoo!" Kyoko sneezed, as she sat in the agency before rubbing her nose "Why in the world is it so cold inside Broadway?"
"Hey we're back" she heard, making her smirk as she looked up to see the door opening up "Well, welcome back Kait-oh?".
Kyoko was surprised when she saw Kaito along with Samurai Caliber who was gazing around the room "And who's this?".
"Ah Kyoko I managed to finish the request and also this is Samurai Caliber a…friend I guess? Of Gridman's" Kaito explained, making Kyoko blink before smirk "Oh? A friend of Gridmans?".
"T-That's r-right" Samurai Caliber said, as Kyoko examined him.
"He was also the one that helped us out when that Digimon went crazy" Kaito explained, making Kyoko glance at him before smirking.
"So you want to help us out with finding the secrets of Gridman, is that right" Kyoko asked, with Samurai Caliber nodding "Y-Yes, w-we still n-need to find t-the o-others?".
"Others?" Kaito blinked, as Kyoko smirked "Well I don't think I can trust you just yet so how about this, theres been some problem going on with AC and some weird rumours going on about it, mind taking a look"
"Eh?" Kaito blinked in surprise at Kyoko request while Samurai Caliber nodded "A-Alright then".
The two then watched as Samurai Caliber left the agency before Kaito looked back at Kyoko "You sure it was a good idea to send hi-".
Kaito paused when Kyoko coolly stared at him, making him chuckle nervously "I-I I'll go and help him out".
Meanwhile we see Samurai Caliber walking through Nakano broadway and noticing several people that looked to be cold.
"Brr…" A girl said, standing in front of Mirei's consultation room "The back entrance is so c-cold… It's a little better here at least…"
"M-Man, I-I think I-I n-need s-some h-hot c-cocoa" Another person said, making Samurai Caliber raise an eyebrow before he made his way towards the back entrance.
"It's f-f-freezing in here! Did the AC break or something?" Someone said, as Samurai Caliber walked into the back entrance only for his eyes to widen at what he saw.
"Hey Caliber, is something wrong" Kaito said, running after him as Caliber pointed to the AC "U-Up there".
Kaito raised an eyebrow before he followed his gaze and blinked when he noticed something strange about the vent, some kind of blue static going on around it "What is that?".
"It's some kind of Digital distortion" Gridman said, appearing on a screen next to Kaito "Check your Digivice, maybe its sending out a transmission".
"Good idea" Kaito said, putting on his google only to jump in surprise "What the?!".
"What's wrong Kaito?" Gridman asked, as Kaito showed the two of them what he was seeing.
It was an image of a pale, brown-haired girl came up on the display. She didn't say anything, but she did seem a bit dreary and after a while, the transmission ended.
"H-Her voice cut out." Samurai Calibur said, as they looked around again but noticed the distortion was gone.
"What's going on?…" Kaito mumbled, before his Digivice rang again and he quickly picked up, thinking it was another transmission he was surprised it was a call from Kyoko
"Me again," Kyoko nodded to him. "I've got a new case for you. Why don't you two drop by so we can talk?"
The redhead knit his eyebrows together as it looked like he would have to forego his lunch break today. "Alright... If it's a case, I'm heading back now."
"Y-You g-go ahead, I'll s-see w-what else is h-here" Samurai Caliber said, with Kaito nodding before making his way back to the detective agency.
Back at Kuremi Detective Agency we see Kaito standing there as he read the details of his next case.
Client: Broadway Management
Place: Broadway
Detail: There is something wrong with the air-conditioning in Broadway. Find the cause.
"From what I gather, the air conditioning inside Nakano Broadway is on the fritz," Kyoko told her young assistant. "It just keeps pumping in cold air constantly and nobody can switch the heating on."
"Okay, but shouldn't that be a job for an electrician? Or a mechanic of some sort?" Kaito said, crossing his arms. "It's just a problem with the cooling system, right?"
However Kyoko shook her head at his answer before looking at him "The thing is, nobody can find anything wrong with it and the businesses are at a lost on what to do." She smirked as she saw it click together in Kaito's mind.
"That's where we come in. People aren't getting much work done, so I told them to leave it to us! If we can get to the bottom of this mess, I'm sure they'll just love us forever for it!"
"So you intend to use this case to up your reputation…" Gridman said, crossing his arms as Kyoko whistled a bit.
"Well I guess we should go and tell Cali- huh?" Kaito blinked, hearing his Digivice ringing before he answered.
"Hello? This is Aiba Kaito speaking." He blinked when the dreary girl from before appeared on the display. "Huh? You again?"
"What's ging on?" Kyoko asked, as Gridman looked at her "Kaito keep getting transmissions from someone, we're not sure who though"
"Oh really now~ Let me take a look" Kyoko said, taking Kaito's Digivice before she curiously hacked into the Digivice to see who it was.
"Hmm… Well, isn't she a cutie," she said, teasing her assistant.
"Eh?! No, no it's not like that" Kaito said, while he was blushing which made Kyoko chuckle.
"I believe she was just messing with you Kaito" Gridman said, as Kaito sighed "R-Right…"
Kyoko smiled at her assistant before she noticed something strange about the transmission.
"The white noise in this is really bad…. I can't make out what she's saying and where's this coming—" she shook her head when the call came to an abrupt end. "Damn, it's cut out."
"I believe the first time she contacted us, it was around the area where it was the coldest," Gridman told the detective catching her attention
"What? You're saying the same transmission came in where it was cold?" Kyoko blinked, as she took a moment to think things over. "Hmm… We might be closing in on the cause. If so, our next step is to resolve this thing, plain and simple."
"Alright, so what do you need me to do this time?" Kaito asked, as Kyoko looked up from her computer
"I'm going to see if I can figure out the signal's origin. You ask around about the air conditioning," she stated, as Kaito playfully saluted to her while leaving the room "Roger that".
Higher Level of Nakano Broadway
Third person P.O.V.
After a bit of investigating Kaito was directed to the K-Cafe which was where he could get the information about the AC
"Hey Sacchan" Kaito called out, catching the part-time maids attention as he entered the small cafe. "Is the master available? I need to ask about Broadway's cooling unit!"
"Ah yeah, he's over here" Sacchan said, as she quickly pulled the detective behind the counter. "Boss, Aiba-kun's looking for you!"
"Hmm yeah, what's up? What do you need, I'm kind busy here" The master said, as Kaito crossed his arms "I was wondering if you have any idea why the AC is broken?".
"Beats me," The raven haired man shrugged. "I have no idea. It's odd. We don't have a central unit anymore, so how could everyone's AC go out?"
"What'a Central unit?" Kaito asked, turning his head with a confused look/
"Huh? You don't know about the central unit?" The owner blinked, before smiling as he happily shared the information with the young teen.
"Well you see back when this place first opened, there was a big underground unit that controlled the AC for the whole building. Sure feels like the old central unit going out. The way it worked was that every store circulated that cool air up to their stores with fans."
"Underground?" Kaito blinked, tilting his head to the side "Man this building design didn't make any sense like why was there a central unit underground at all?"
"Well, that was to refrigerate a certain something," the owner laughed. "What do you think it was?"
"Ice cream?"Kaito asked, with a raised eyebrow making the owner laugh.
"No, no itwas Japan's oldest vacuum tube computer!" the man exclaimed. "Can you believe it? The room that computer was housed in was right here in Nakano!"
"Eh, no way is it still here?" Kaito asked, only to be disappointed by the owners answer.
"Sad to say, I have no idea what happened to it," the man shook his head. "There's nothing left of it anymore. And even if there were, there are no records remaining. Nobody remembers where it was either. The room itself might as well be an urban legend."
"But it really did exist, right?" Kaito asked, wanting to confirm the story but the man shrugged as he didn't really know either, despite explaining it all to the boy as thought it was all true.
"I can tell you one thing though, it's really cold…" He broke into a sleazy chuckle. "Although it's done wonders for coffee sales today."
"Well, thanks for the information," Kaito smiled, making his out of the cafe only to be met by Samurai Caliber jumping from the roof.
"Ah- Caliber? Where did you come from?" Kaito asked, looking up at the roof of the building and Samurai Caliber ignored him.
"K-Kyoko figured out where that signal came from, s-she said w-we should get back to the office" Samurai Caliber said, making Kaito's eyes widen.
"Oh thats great, I discovered a few things too, let's head over there right now" Kaito said, as he made his way to the elevator.
"You coming?" Kaito asked, looking back at Samurai Caliber before Girdman appeared on a screen next to him.
"Actually, I wanted to have a word with him alone if that's alright?" Gridman asked, surprising Kaito.
"Huh? Oh yeah sure don't let me stop you" Kaito said, before turning back around to meet with Kyoko.
"Caliber, I've been meaning to ask you something" Gridman said, as Samurai Caliber looked over at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Do you know what our mission is? My memory was damaged by a strange creature, thats why I had to merge with Kaito" Gridman explained, looking down.
"S-Sorry but my memory is also damaged, a-all I know after I t-took this persons f-form i-is t-that I needed to h-help you"
"I see… that's unfortunate…but perhaps the others you were talking about would know" Gridman said, before looking over at Samurai Caliber "For now we should just focus on the case".
Samurai Caliber nodded at that, as they waited for Kaito to return.
Kuremi Detective Agency
Third person P.O.V.
"Nice work with your investigation," Kyoko complimented her assistant as he attempted to choke down his coffee. "Now what have you got to report?"
"Apparently, Broadway used to house Japan's oldest vacuum computer. It's in a room hidden somewhere in the building, but it's related to the building's central cooling unit." Kaito said, before grimacing at the coffee's aftertaste "If we find that room, we might be able to fix the AC."
"Hmm…" Kyoko mumbled, as she brought her hand up to her chin pensively. "This is the first I've heard of that computer room. But with that information, it's all starting to click for me now."
"So you know where that room is?" Kaito asked, prompting the detective to nod her head.
"Like I mentioned to Caliber, I've figured out who the girl in those transmissions is. Her name's Yuki Fuyume. She was a breakout idol from a few decades back."
"But the girl is a bit too young, isn't she?" Kaito questioned, thinking back to the image of the girl he had witnessed as he brought his gloved hand to his chin.
"What we've been seeing… the avatar on the screen is her when she was in her prime as an idol," Kyoko explained. "Somebody is therefore using a terminal inside Nakano Broadway and broadcasting her likeness."
"So… then you think it's either a hacker or a Digimon," Kaito asked, as Kyoko crossed her arms, proud that he was able to figure out that much. "And the signal seems to be coming from the fourth floor. Looking at the map, it's right inside a wall at K-Café."
"That narrows it down to a Digimon," Kaito sighed with relief before realising something.
"Wait… If that's the case… how am I supposed to access a wall!?" he questioned, making the detective chuckle to herself.
"The whole thing has played out like a horror story, hasn't it? A long lost idol relaying her message from inside a wall…" She said, while ignoring her assistant's groans. "But with your report, it's all coming together now."
Kaito smiled at her praise but still crossed his arms. "But a wall?"
"We've uncovered a piece of Nakano Broadway history that not even the owner of K-Café as the go-to historian could claim to know. But enough talk," she smiled, rising from her seat. "It's time to head back to K-Café. I'll be coming along for this one, too."
"Good, because I seriously want to know how I'm going to Connect Jump into a wall" he deadpanned, and as they left the office, they spotted two students of Inoden walking past.
"I got a message from a girl and when I answered it…" the boy said, as he shivered. "It got cold all of a sudden. It's the 'Snow Woman'! She's cursed us! It has to be her!"
His shivering friend shook his head. "I-I can hardly believe it… But it definitely has been really ch-chilly here. I've got a bad feeling about this. Maybe I'll just go home…"
"N-Now that they mention it, the Snow Woman. T-The M-MO sure does fit that folktale" Kaito mumbled, sound a little afraid making Kyoko chuckle.
"You're right, even the idol's name, Yuki Fuyume, means 'Winter Snow Woman'. The Snow Woman herself shows up in a lot of stories from regions with cold climates. This is definitely the first time she's taken form as an old 80s idol. But it's pretty fitting for Nakano Broadway, all things considered," the woman continued to chuckle.
"B- ut it's not a ghost… It's probably a Digimon…" Kaito said, crossing his arms while sweating heavily "I-It's d-definitly n-not a g-ghost, j-just a D-Digimon r-right?".
Kyoko raised an eyebrow at her assistant's behaviour before a sly smirk grew on her face "Who knows, Ii've seen a lot of things that could easily be an actual Snow Woman ''.
"W-WHAT?!" Kaito asked, as Kyoko turned to the elevator.
"Still, if we don't act quickly, she's going to damage this place's reputation," Kyoko reminded him, "so let's get a move on already."
"W-Wait, you were just joking back there r-right? You weren't being serious r-rightt!" Kaito shook his head as he took off after her. "Kyoko-san!"
K-Cafe
Third person P.O.V.
"Alright here we are…" Kyoko said, as she, Kaito and Samurai Caliber arrived at the back of the K-Cafe where it was coldest in the cafe.
"Surprised he just let us into the back like that, seems like thats breaking some rules" Kaito sad, but soon paused when he noticed Kyoko wasn't interested in the owner, but was staring at a wall.
"T-There's another Digital Disturbance" Samurai Caliver said, making Kaito blink and soon noticing that she was staring straight at a digital distortion with a confused frown on her face.
"This is it…" Kyoko stated comparing the data from her pink-lens Digivice to the actual location they were standing at.
"The transmission should be coming from the other side of here," she placed her hand over the distortion but shook her head as she couldn't find anything suspicious at all. "Yet there's no door and there are no signs of the wall being tampered with… What's going on here…?"
"You can't see it?" Kaito asked while watching the light blue distortion flicker.
"S-She isn't a Digital being l-like us, s-so she c-can't see it" Samurai Caliber explained, catching Kyoko's attention
"Oh really now? I suppose that makes sense" Kyoko said, looking over to them curiously as Kaito walked up and touched the wall.
As soon as he did, his Digivice rang and the image of Yuki Fuyume appeared again.
"Another transmission…" Kyoko noted. "That just about confirms we're in the right spot, then."
"Of course, we are…" Kaito nodded, as Kyoko's eyes narrowed on her assistant. "I don't… I don't like the looks of this,"
"What!? Why not?" Kaito asked, when he felt a strange tingling sensation wash over his body.
"W-What the?" He quickly looked down at himself but was glad to see his body remained intact.
"S-Something wrong?" Samurai Caliber asked, as Kaito looked over at him "Huh? Oh it's nothi- hey!".
They then noticed the sound of the AC kicking into high gear. "Huh…? Did the AC just go into full blast? Was that the idol's doing?"
Kyoko nodded as she crossed her arms. "It's like… she's noticed us trying to meddle with her… and now it's even colder. You're probably less… affected by her tricks thanks to your unique body."
"No… I sensed something strange though…" he told the detective. He shook his head as he held his hand up to the distortion again.
"Oh, did you find something?" she asked, as Kaito looked over at the distortion.
"It's just…when I got closer to the Distortion…I felt my body tingling, kinda like goosebumps, as if something was pulling me to the distortion" Kaito explained.
"I see…" she nodded. "Perhaps there's an entry point into cyberspace inside that wall."
"So this is how we'll Connect Jump into a wall," Kaito smirked to himself. He worriedly looked back at his shivering boss. "Kyoko-san…"
"Don't worry about me," she shook her head at him. "You go on ahead and get in there!"
Kaito nodded at that before he and Samurai Caliber stood in front of the distortion "W-We don't know whats in there, b-best to go t-transformed".
"Right" Kaito nodded, as he summoned his Acceptor before looking down at it "You ready Gridman?".
"Yes, I am" Gridman then flew down in front of Kaito as the two of them looked at each other.
"Acceptor works by uniting two hearts into one, we must unite our souls in order to use its power."
"Okay…" Kaito said, closing his eyes for a few moments before opening them and raising the Acceptor.
"Access…" Kaitosaid, before moving his hand in front of his arm "…FLASH!"
"ACCESS CODE! GRIDMAN CALIBER!" Samurai Caliber screamed, out.
The two's body then shined before turning into data as they flew around before flying into the disturbance.
"So…that's how it works" Kyoko said, as a sly smile grew on her face.
In the network
Third person P.O.V.
"Woah" Kaito said, as Gridman landed in the frozen network area with his sword sheathed on his back "This place is completely frozen over".
"N-Not surprised, this does explain t-the cold air" Samurai Caliber said, from the sword as they looked around.
"Be careful Kaito, we don't know what we'll find here" Gridman said, as they looked around before they spotted the idol known as Yuki Fuyume.
"What the? How is another huma here?" Kaito said, as they hurried over to her at once but noticed she had been expecting him.
"You… came…" she gratefully smiled at the blue-eyed teen. "Thank… you…"
The girl suddenly began glitching and switching in place was a small cat-like Digimon that Kaito Digivice quickly identified as a Wanyamon.
"Please…" the Digimon stared at the Hyper Agent with pleading eyes, "help… me…"
"H-Hey…" Kaito said, having Gridman reaching out but a large draft of icy cold wind pushed them back as they looked up to see what was causing the freezing affect
It looked to be a humanoid bear made of snow with red, round buttons on its chest. It has black eyes and nose that resemble coal, its also seemed to have glitching parts of boddy like ice shards coming from its back and a large blue lizard like tail as well as ice chards from its arm and on its head, with Kaito's digivice identifying it as Blizzalar Frigimon.
"COLDER…" the Digimon breathed, its breath visible in the cyberspace. "IT'S NOT COLD ENOUGH! NOT UNTIL EVERYONE IS FROZEN!"
"T-That must be the Digimon causing everything" Samurai Caliber said, from the sword as Gridman scanned it.
"It's data is similar to Growlmons, it must have been corrupted Kaiju data as well" Gridman deduced, while Kaito had Gridman draw his sword.
"Then we just need to defeat him to free him" Kaito said, getting ready.
Gridman began dashing towards Frigimon catching its attention, as the corrupted Digimon glared at him.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Frigimon yelled, charging energy into his fist before throwing a punch, sending a ice blast towards Gridman.
"HAH!" Gridman yelled, as they leapt into the air dodging the attack before spinning around and throwing a kick at Frigimon knocking him back.
Gridman then readied his sword before slashing at the Frigimon who blocked the attack before slashing at Gridman with his ice shads.
Frigimon then began firing several ice blasts at Gridman, forcing the Hyper Agent to deflect the attacks with his sword.
However this was a distraction, as Frigimon charged up energy before firing a beam of ice right at Gridmans feet.
"Huh? GAH!" Gridman said, as a block of ice began forming around him.
"D-Damn, we can't move like this" Gridman said, as they attempted to get out of the rising black of ice.
"Caliber can you break us free?" Kaito asked, as he tried raising the sword.
"N-Not without damaging you no" Samurai Caliber said, as Kaito gulped before looking at the acceptor.
"Then we'll need some help" Kaito said, raising the acceptor up as the ice continued rising up their body.
"Mirei! Please send us some Digimon that can help" Kaito yelled, as the acceptor began beeping.
(Play Only I can)
"Very well Kaito-kun, sending Togemon and Growlmon your way now" Mirei said, as two balls of light.
The balls landed on the ground before materialising as Togemon and Growlmon as Gridman looked to the Digimon.
"Togemon, keep Frigimon distracted and Growlmon use your fire to free us" Kaito said, as the two digimon nodded.
"Sure thing Kaito!" Togemon yelled, as she ran towards Frigimon who stopped shooting the ice beam and raised its arms.
The two then began boxing each other, with fists flying trying to hit their opponent and make them stay down.
"Dang it~ Take this! Mach Jabs!" Togemon yelled, as she moved in close before throwing several punches right at the Digimons stomach knocking him back.
Meanwhile we see Growlmon shooting flames at the ice holding Gridman freeing the Hyper agent.
"There you go that should do it" Growlmon said, as Gridman look at him "Thank you now, let's finish this".
Gridman and Growlmon the regrouped with Togemon as they all stood in front of the corrupted Digimon.
"Everyone, uniting our attacks into one should finish this" Gridman said, as the two Digimon nodded.
"NEEDLE SPRAY!"Togemon yelled, as she fired several lightning fast needles towards Frigimon.
"PYRO BLASTER!"Growlmon roared, firing a blast of fire at Frigimon as well.
As Frigimom was hit by the two attacks we see Gridman jumping into the air, as the energy sword from the Acceptor came out.
"GRIDKNIGHHT CALIBER SLASH!" Gridman yelled, as he moved downwards before slashing the larger Digimon causing a large explosion.
(End song)
Landing on the ground Gridman stood back up before raising the Acceptor where the Frigimons data was absorbed into the Acceptor along with Growlmon and Togemon.
With a bright flash Kaito and Samurai Caliber returned to normal, as Kaito looked at his Acceptor "Thanks for that Mirei, that was really helpful".
"Fufufu, no problem Kaito…but I was wondering something" Mirei said, making them blink "I saw the skills of you new ally and I was wondering if he could help me in something that I am working on, he can stay in the Digilab as well if he agrees",
"Hmm…what do you think Caliber?" Kaito asked, looking over at Samurai Caliber "I-I don't mind".
"Excellent, then please Kaito if you would so kindly point the acceptor to him" Mirei requested, as Kaito did just that, which caused Samurai Caliber to also get absorbed in the Acceptor.
"Huh weird" Kaito said, as Gridman appeared next to him.
"At least this will make getting into contact with Samurai Caliber easier" Gridman said, with Kaito nodding "Yeah… oh right, the Digimon".
Kaito looked over to see the small Digimon hoping over to him as Kaito knelt down t it
"Brr, it was so cold!" the small Digimon shivered. "Thanks for taking care of him! That was one nasty glitch!"
She then happily jumped into Kaito's arms. "You saved the day, really! You must have come over when you heard my voice, right? I mean you transformed into that super cool hero".
"Not really…" Kaito said, before blinking at the Digimon as the creature affectionately rubbed his head against the boy's chest. "I came here to investigate as a Cyber Sleuth."
"You're a Cyber Sleuth working a case? I don't really get it," Wanyaman shook her head before looking up "But whatever, all's well that ends well! Frigimons rampaging really did cause so much trouble!"
"Yeah, it did," the boy nodded before knitting his eyebrows together. "But… uh… who are you?"
"Huh? Who am I?" the Wanyamon blinked at him. "Uh, well… to be honest, I don't really know myself."
"Really?" Kaito blinked, looking down at the little Digimon before petting her head making Wanyamon purr 'He has amnesia just like I did'
"I've been stuck asleep inside this wall the whole time, you see." Wanyamon said, before suddenly jumping out of the boy's lap when Kaito's Digivice began to ring.
"Hey," Kyoko greeted her assistant. "It's finally stopped blowing cold air here. Great job! You did so much, you must be tired. It would have been a real sad state of affairs if we'd somehow managed to freeze to death here in Tokyo, of all places."
"That's true…" Kaito laughed. "But, uh… Kyoko-san… I found something interesting."
He Then showed her the Digimon that was looking at Kaito curiousky. "He doesn't know who he is… and I kinda want to help him…"
"Hmm? You found a cat Digimon with amnesia?" Kyoko stared at the small creature with intrigue. "Well, you solve one mystery, only to stumble into another, it seems. come back here and we'll look into it."
Kuremi Detective Agency
Third person P.O.V.
Kyoko studied the strange Digimon with great interest. "An amnesiac Digimon, huh…?" She shook her head and smirked to herself.
"Every time I think I've seen everything, I get proven wrong yet again." She nodded as she addressed the Wanyamon. "I take it those transmissions with Yuki Fuyume, were you doing that, then?"
"Yep," Wanyamon nodded. "I wasn't able to move around once Frigimon digivolve and started going crazy, so I had to call for help somehow and I sent out those messages." He noticed Kaito frowning at him and laughed. "Well, I did come from a vacuum tube computer inside a wall!"
"So I really did access that old computer network?" Kaito blinked in surprise.
"Then that means that vacuum tube computer was really there behind the wall, this whole time…" Gridman mused, from the Tv.
"I'd been asleep inside that computer for a reeeeally long time, andI only woke up just recently. And when I did, I had no idea who I was or what I was doing inside that wall, so I decided to go and see what I could learn. That was when I stumbled upon an intranet connecting the vacuum tube computer to the rest of the building."
"Intranet…?" Kyoko said, as she brought her hand up to her chin. "You must mean the networking lines that only operate inside Nakano Broadway."
"Yeah," Wanyamon jumped with a nod.. "So as I was just playing around, that was when Frigimon suddenly appeared. He was originally a normal Digimon in the air conditioning system but he suddenly got affected by something and went crazy and he even managed to use the intranet to sneak into the vacuum tube computer I was living in!"
"I see," Kyoko nodded. "It all makes sense now. That must have been why nobody could find anything wrong with the system when they checked it."
"And the infection must have been him coming into contact with the Kaiju data like Growlmon did" Gridman deduced, with Kaito crossing his arms "So it was a job only we could accomplish,"
"Frigimon just went completely insane and wouldn't listen to me," the Wanyamon sighed. "Eventually I couldn't even move with all of that constant cold. It was terrible…"
Kaito frowned as he sympathetically stared at the adorable Digimon. "How awful… I had no idea. A cute critter like you being bullied by a bigger Digimon like that…"
Kyoko shook her head at her assistant but crossed her arms as she considered the old vacuum computer.
"It's hard to believe such an old computer was even still operational to begin with… But its existence is probably a remnant of the centralised AC system the K-Café owner mentioned before." Kyoko guessed, as he placed a hand to her chin "The wiring must have been hooked up pretty poorly for Frigimon to be able to wreak such havoc, then… And therein lies the root of how this all managed to happen. I imagine even our conversation right now must be going through that intranet, as well."
"If thats the case then we won't be able to take Wanyamon to the DigiFarm like the others" Gridman explained, as Kaito couldn't help but feel bad for the little guy
"By the way, is there a reason why you… chose to appear as an idol in those transmissions?" Kyoko asked, as Wanyamon turned to her "Why?...shehe was just cute, I guess."
Kyoko, Kaito and even Gridman sweatdropped at the Wanyamon simple reply making him pout
"What? it's simple! I just thought someone cute like her would make someone want to come in and help me! I picked Yuki Fuyume specifically because, well… she was amazing when she was really popular! She could sing, she could dance, and her looks… Fuyume had everything you could want in an idol!"
The Digimon then jumped up as she remembered something else. "Oh yeah! There was also a world's fair around the time her career was really starting to take off! There was such a long line for the moon rocks…"
Wanyamon then paused and frowned while looking down "Wait… Why do I… remember that? I don't even know my own name…"
"Eh…? That's a lot of strange things to recall… What's up with that?" Kaito asked, looking over at Kyoko.
"I think I get what's going on here…" Kyoko nodded. "It looks like we've uncovered a decades-old time capsule."
"Time capsule?" Wanyamon asked, turning her head while looking towards the detective in confusion. "What's that?"
"Your memories aren't just raw bits of information," Kyoko explained. "They're more than that. They have a certain… humanity to them, let's say. I bet you're somebody's old 'memories', stashed away along with that vacuum tube computer you've been living in. That's what time capsules are for."
"That's what I am?" Wanyamon asked, looking down with a confused look
"But, memories or not, that doesn't make you any less empathetic creature to encounter…" she smirked, looking over towards her assistant who was still staring at the Wanyamon 'Seems they do have something in common".
"Either way, this case is wrapped up now." Kyoko said, stretching a bit.
"Eh? Really?" Kaito asked, looking over at Kyoko
"We'll look into what's up with this cat Digimon later," she reassured him before chuckling. "Truly, there's no other place quite like Nakano,"
"There really isn't, well, this is one report I don't mind writing out…" Kaito smiled, quickly going to get his paper from the other room, making Kyoko chuckled at his enthusiasm. "And here I thought he hadn't been looking forward to the case…"
"Well I suppose this goes to show he's getting used to his new job" Gridman said, as Kyoko nodded sipping some of her coffee.
"I suppose…but I do wonder…what could have infected Frigimon? And how did it get from the AC to the old computer system…it was almost as if it was sent there and so soon after Growlmon" Kyoko wondered, as Gridman looked at her "You don't think…someone purposely infected Frigimon to test Kaito?"
"We'll have to see" Kyoko said, as she looked up at the window with a serious look.
And done, man that was a fun chapter to work on and I got to adapt one of the cases from the game.
Now just incase your wondering Im not going to be adapting every case from the game, just the ones I liked or feel it fits in the story like this one.
But anyway, how about we get to the reviews
DCDGojira: Thanks and Yeah I did, still waiting for the movie though
Blaze Rider 10: Maybe but as a side story I thought of,
Guest: Im not even sure I'll be doing a Hackers memory fic and Yuuko will be the main user and the others will change through out the story
Pinkflamingwarriorofjustice: No, don't really see how those could work.
But for now don't forget to review and favourite this story and of course.
