I have big plans for both Ideas as well (The Former for the Indigo Disk Stuff and heck, Evil!Geeta is always fun to write as well!)
And Fret not! Galar Bashing would be tone down for Mermaid Legends of Paldea/Future Paldea Fics as well!

Welcome to another Chapter of Paldean Memories!
I have to admit… Updates have been slow due to me taking it easy for now… And also for Mermaid Legends of Paldea work is currently just
BUT! I do plan for it to be released eventually, So be patient for it….
I don't want another Galarian Awakening at least…. After how my SwSh Hatred basically put that Fic on Permanent hiatus… So I'm trying my Best to not repeat that mistake as well….

But on an unrelated, Teal Mask is quite fun at least! (Certainly better then Sonic 06 at least…)
And I have some Ideas how to use it with Mermaid Legends of Paldea as well with Kieran and Orgepon at least thanks to it….
And it also fixed a Possible Idea I had as well for it, It's regarding Rika and why she's working for Geeta aside form what's canon and how despite they're a Mermaid (Rika) and Cecaelia (Geeta), They're not at each others throats like I'm about to show between the Latter and Diantha for this Story….

Story 7: Torrential Grudges
Symposis: When Meeting up with Diantha, Cynthia learns more about her Friend's Past and her irregular behavior with Paldean Top Champion Geeta…
Especially when there's more to their tension that meets the eye as their True Species of Creatures of the Depths….
Characters: Diantha, Geeta, Cynthia,
Others: Rika, Mable, Aliana, Bryony, Celosia Carmine, Kieran,

Continuity: Takes Place during after the Events of Metamorphosis Chapter 13 (Of Mothers and Mermaids)

World of Pokemon, Kalos Region, Azure Bay:
The Azure Bay, A Sea Bay North of the coast of Kalos Route 12….
A Place that normally ignored by Tourists and Mostly a Place for Swimmers and the Ocassional Trainer wanting to venture off the beaten path for Pokemon… It wasn't a place that would come up in Many's Mind as well (Save for those rumors about the Legendary Birds of Kanto being spotted in the Area but with often dismissed as Rumors by many however)
But it's the Current place to be for a Certain Champion/Archelogist/Resident Goddess of Sinnoh arrived to this Location to meet up with someone… a Friend of hers to be exact….
Descending onto a Small Island via her Togekiss, Cynthia looked around the Area as she quickly wore a Necklace with Golden Pearls and a Sliver Mermaid attached to it.
She then looked around, Making sure no one was around before she dove into the Ocean,
Cynthia's Body soon changed form a Human to having an Arceus/Sinnoh Gold Color with her Tail Fins, Fin-Ears and Dorsal Fin being a Similar Color as well…. Gills on the Side of her neck and her clothes vanishing as well…
But the Unique thing was that Cynthia's Dorsal fin was oddly a Garchomp's Back Fin despite the Species being a Land based one….
"Well, I Figured you're always blessed by Arceus Cynthia.. No matter what happens, You're always the Special one among us champions…"
A Mermaid soon swam up to Cynthia with an Alomomola (Wearing a Tiara with a Pink Mega Stone in it)…
Said Mermaid has long Platnium Blond Hair with a Dorsal Fin of a Milotic's Tail and Pearl White Fins, Tails, Ear-Fins with the Addition of Fangs as well….
"Hey Diantha… How are y-Is this!?" Said Cynthia before she stopped and saw Diantha's Full (Naked Body)
Like Cynthia has just mentioned, Diantha's Body was oddly full of Scars and Shock Marks… No doubt her Actress Life was far form boring… But those are clearly aren't form this
"Diantha… Those Scars aren't just form Geeta… Right?" Questioned Cynthia in Concern as Diantha nodded back in Agreement
"Sadly yes…. They're also form the Team Flare Sceintists as well… They're also Cecaelias and I'm a Major Target because of my Royal Merblood as well…." Said Diantha with a Sigh as she recall her many fights against Cecaelias…
No doubt their Irregular nature makes the two species fight no matter what when they see each other, Especially when they're adults as well…
Geeta and Diantha are mortal Enemies due to this and while the Other Champions aren't involved with this Feud, The Paldean Top Champion and Kalos Champion were mortal enemies as they're more like Beast then Human as well.
Cynthia remain Slient at this, No doubt that Diantha's Body is not something she expected but she knows she can handle herself at least…
"Well, do you want to come to Kitanami with me? I figured rumors about the Merfolk there may interest you?" Said Cynthia with a smile as Diantha looked back to her.
"Well count me in… I have a Free Schedule right now so I'm good…" Said Diantha as she smiled back to her friend who did the same as well…

Meanwhile in Paldea, North Paldean Sea, Geeta's Craven:
Despite her Reputation for being a Questionable Boss and Trainer, Geeta's normally pretty calm in situations as she was currently in her Craven/Home, Away form any Possible threats to her Rule…
But right now? She's not exactly calm right now as she's currently looking at her Arm, A Bite Mark present in it that never healed no matter how much she tried….
'Diantha….' She scrowled to herself as she recalled that Wretched Mermaid Princess… No doubt Diantha's often a Thorn in her Side whenever she's outside Paldea, Especially with how she's the Princess of the Kalosian Mermaids…
The Cecaelia remembered the Many Encounters she had with Diantha and how each encounter ended badly for her
It was even worse when due to being Friends with the likes of Cynthia (Whom is not only considered the Strongest Champion in Existance but also a Massive Possibility to ruin her plans should word of them escape to Sinnoh)
Still, So far while Cynthia hasn't responded yet (No doubt Geeta was aware that if Diantha ratted her out about being a Cecaelia, She'll the same as well and exposed her as a Mermaid even if Cynthia did it or not)… It's still wary that Diantha has an Ally on her Side (And being the Champion's she considers the largest threat should her plans be exposed, Especially with it connected to Arceus and the Hero of Hisui)… She needs to play her cards right as well…
'Worry about her later Geeta, Once you have the Devine Tempest, You're power would be stronger then even Cynthia's at least…'
Thought Geeta to herself as she resumed to what She's currently doing at the moment: researching old Documents and Lore she 'Borrowed' form her Grandfather, No doubt her Son's Interest in Kitanami's Local folklore (Especially the Ogre form the Legends of the Loyal Three that Kieran shows a Strange Interest in as well)
Her Parents in Laws never approved her and things certainly worsen when her Husband Died, Leaving only Carmine and Kieran as well, The Elderly Couple only prevented by Geeta's status as Top Champion to prevent them form ratting her out about the abuse she done to both of them as well.
While the Descendent of Heath is currently pestering her about Area Zero, Geeta's currently admit some worth… with her current documents looking at a Strange Peach like Creature surrounding a Mysterious Object (Smeared by a Purple material as well) near a Crystal Pool as well….
And the Energy she's feeling form it is similar to Rika's as well… No doubt a Connection between them is high as well…
'Hhhmmm…. Amusing….' Geeta thought to herself as she looked at the Purple Material isn't anything normal… And it's certainly felt like the Artifact of the Merfolk of Paldea Guarded as well… To keep the Devine Tempest out of unworthy hands.
And it may be her Ticket to being one step closer to ensuring Paldea's Rule will be always hers as well….
Just as Rika entered the Carven….
"Ah Rika, There you are… How are you?" Said Geeta with a smile on her face as Rika swam up to her.
"I'm fine Geeta… Are you fine as well?" She questioned as Geeta Smiled back to the Veluza fin mermaid as well…
"Reading some old documents… And I have a Task for you as well…" The Cecaelia admitted to her Friend/Right Hand as well. "Do you think you can do it?"
"Well, Count me in at least…." Said Rika as she looked back to her Friend as Geeta Smirked back to her. "But what are you planning Geeta?"
"Excellent Rika… Well, I have plans for a Certain Relic as well… And I think you know full well what it is…" Geeta admitted to her Friend as she smirked back
"The One you tried to steal all those years to make Tulip fall in love with you right? I know you rather not remember it… But the Devine Tempest may have a connection to it at least…"

Well, I have to admit… I hope you Enjoyed this Fic as well!
It's not much but hopefully it should expand on parts of Geeta's Character for my Mermaid Fics as well…
Similarly, it's amusing to some extent how I been thinking, Geeta/Diantha have Bad Witch/Good Witch vibes to them and given the Former's Personality, It's easy to make her a Villain as well….
(Heck, Who knows, Geeta's basically shapping up for Juliana to be what Aaron/Prowler is to Miles Morale, Basically Geeta's more or less Juliana's Arch Nemesis at this Rate in my Stories…Just something to take note of at least)
Speaking of Diantha, Her Friendship with Cynthia is indeed (As Mentioned before) a Shout Out to how they're pals in Journeys despite the Fandom's opinion of Diantha Pre XY and Z as well (And again, The Rosa/Nate Dynamic with Juliana being inspired by this…) and Cynthia's a Garchomp Mermaid because, It's Cynthia, She gets special treatment at least.
(Also yes, Iris's the Only Female Champion to not be aware of the Mermaid/Cecaelia thing as well, None of the Guys are aware of Diantha/Geeta being Merfolk/Cecaelia as well and the Former trusted Cynthia to not drag the others into what is she and Geeta's Personal beef with each other as well…)

Speaking of Which, Given some Recent Theories about the Leader of the Loyal Three (The Momotaro Pokemon shown during the Orgepon Backstory) and the recent theories about both the Crystal Pool AND (SPOILERS!) Kieran's Descendent to Villainly as well….
I do have a Bigger Reason to tie Rika to a Possible Point as well for the Devine Tempest and Merfolk stuff as well (AKA What got her banished form the Paldean Mertribe and in Geeta's Care as well) now with it…
And Let's just say, What's happening to Kieran happened to Rika Once as well…. (And the Merfolk Relic amplified those emotions in a way as well)
And Said Relic is playing a major role for stuff in Mermaid Legends of Paldea as well… (Same with the Crystal Pool in Kitanami as well)

Speaking of Diantha, I figured I might explain her as well:
Like with Juliana being friends with Rosa and Nate (Both being Fellow Merfolk as well), Including the Cynthia/Diantha Friendship form Journeys was a way to not let any Possible Fandom Basis effect my Stories as well (A Problem I had with Sonic, Fire Emblem Fates and Pokemon:Sword and Shield If you read WoL-DX at least) as even if the Kalos Anime is Good, Chances are things are tense between it's fandom and the Sinnoh Anime Fandom… (Especially Serena and Dawn Shippers whom yes, Have people who get along form both sides, then to be tense about it as well)
XY is kind of a Case of where Extended Media is better then the Games (Both the Anime and Manga being basically the Ideal way to experience Kalos) and while the Anime's Better then Journeys/Best Wishes at least… I already mentioned the whole thing between Kalos/Sinnoh Anime fans as well…
Fortunately, Diantha and Cynthia being Friends could give me an Idea for this… Especially with the Former being a Mermaid and Volo being an Antagonist alongside Geeta as well…
Plus, I figured I might as well with Diantha's History with Cecaelia as well would expand on the Whole Thing between Merfolk and Cecaelia as well…
Before you ask, The Alomomola (Who can Mega Evolve BTW) in this Chapter is Diantha's Pokemon Sibling (Since Merfolk are Pokemon/Human Hybrids in my Stories, Pokemon are like Family to them) and while Gardevior was her Starter/Ace, Alomomola's her Sibling as well…. So there's that…
Also, The Concept of the Four Female Team Flare Scientists (Celosia, Bryony, Aliana and Mable) being Cecaelia is mostly to show unlike say Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken, Is to show besides Geeta, Carmine and Kieran, Other Cecaelias are out there….
And besides being natural enemies, Diantha's also a larger target for the Team Flare Scientists and Geeta due to being the Princess of the Kalosian Merfolk as well….
Plus, Hope I did the Geeta/Diantha Fight well at least, Well the Breif-ish Flashbacks shown that is… (Both Geeta and Diantha have their Scars form their Fights but neither bring it up to the Other Champions to avoid their Irregular natures exposed as well)
