"Here, Litten, sweetie. Have as much as you'd like." said the woman at the berry stand, giving the Litten in front of her some food. Litten purrs as it eats while the woman smiles. Above them, flying type Pokémon were seen.
"What's that?" she asked as she and Litten looked up at the sky. "Look, it's a Pikipek flock. I guess it's that time of year already, isn't it? Wonderful." In the back of the flock was a Pokémon that were different, sleeping as it flies. "Trumbeak!" said Trumbeak, the leader of the flock, telling the Pikipek and the small round Pokémon to dive. Each of the Pikipek grabbed some fruit before taking off.
"Litten." said Litten.
"They only come around this time of year, so, it's just fine." said the woman. Sellers and their Pokémon were helping the Pikipek with gathering food.
A Growlithe even pushed a bowl of fruit towards them. "Of course, the abundance of nature must be shared with everyone." she tells Litten. "That's the rule among those of us who live in the Alola region."
Suddenly, the small round Pokémon was looking at the chime while a Pikipek had already grabbed a piece of fruit. "Meow." said Litten.
"So, don't forget, if you ever find yourself hungry, don't be shy and come back, okay?" she asked, watching the flock leave with the Pokémon accidentally having the wind chime in its claws.
Narrator: In the process of catching their first Pokémon in the Alola region, Ash and Jordan are in the midst of a Pokémon battle, with Pikachu's and Meeko 's help.
Ash, Jordan, Pikachu and Meeko were battling a couple of Grubbin. "Grubbin, the larva Pokémon. A bug type, Grubbin scrapes trees with its large jaws and drinks their sap. It makes its home underground." said Rotom. "Ash! Jordan! Did you hear that?"
"I heard you, Rotom." said Jordan. "I was listening."
"Sure did. Got it covered, Rotom." said Ash.
"Grubbin!" shouted Grubbin, shooting out string shot.
"Pikachu, Meeko, jump up!" shouted Ash and Jordan.
"Pika!" said Pikachu, jumping up with Meeko following suit.
"Lucar!" said Meeko.
"All right, use thunderbolt!" shouted Ash.
"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu, sending a Thunderbolt towards Grubbin, shocking it.
"In order to catch a wild Pokémon, you have to throw a Pokeball at it after it's been exhausted in battle." said Rotom. "Pokémon battle basics."
Jordan, popping up under Rotom, whispering: And if you have been with me and my brother since the beginning, you should know us pretty well about what will actually happen for the next Pokémon.
"What was that?" asked Rotom.
"Nothing." Jordan tells him in an innocent tome. "You heard nothing, Rotom."
"Cario." Meeko added, telling him that he was hearing things.
"Yeah!" shouted Ash as he throws the first Pokéball in Alola. Grubbin went inside and struggles against the Pokéball. "Will he catch it?" asked Kiawe.
"Mm!" said Lana and Mallow.
"Yeah, will he?" asked Sophocles.
"Lucario." said Meeko, shrugging.
"It'll be a first." said Jordan as Grubbin pops out of the Pokéball and digs underground.
"Oh." said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu. "Pi."
"Too bad." said Mallow.
"He was so close." said Lana.
"And that Grubbin won't be the last." said Jordan.
"Pika." said Pikachu as the top soil of Grubbin got closer to them.
"Quick, Pikachu, aim where Grubbin is about to come out and then use Quick Attack!" said Ash.
"Pi!" said Pikachu. Instead, Grubbin came out closer to Lillie, who then screams and hides behind Mallow. "You sure know how to get scared." said Mallow.
"I am not scared!" said Lillie. "I love to research Pokémon! It's just I..."
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu and used Quick Attack. Grubbin used String Shot again at Pikachu, who then dodges. "Pika!" panted Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" shouted Ash.
"Watch out for its powerful jaws." said Rotom.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu as some of the String Shot was wrapped around his leg and pulled him towards Grubbin. "Pika!"
"Oh! Are you okay?" asked Ash once Pikachu swings Grubbin around him and towards the ground.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu.
"Confirming damage. Confirming damage." said Rotom as Popplio and Togedemaru whimpered.
"I'm so sorry." said Lillie.
"I'll take you to the Pokémon center now!" said Mallow.
"A Pokémon center would be great, so lead the way, Mallow. And don't you worry, Lillie." said Ash as Jordan rubs Pikachu's arm.
"Oh." she said.
"And, Ash, we'll go back to the Pokémon school and tell Professor Kukui what happened, all right?" said Kiawe.
"Thanks, Kiawe." said Ash.
"You're the best." said Jordan. Deeper in the forest and in a makeshift cave, Bewear was looking for food while Mimikyu watched it. Jessie glares at Mimikyu before throwing a Pokéball at it. Mimikyu sensed the Pokéball and hits it away.
"This time for sure." grunted Jessie as she tries again, throwing the Pokéball at Mimikyu, who then refused to go into the Pokéball. "Look, Mimikyu! You're the one who wanted to help us, so let me catch you!"
"Of course, it's gonna be pretty hard to catch, because it's not tired one bit." said Meowth.
"Wobbuffet." said Wobbuffet.
"Don't you get that I'm trying to catch that Mimikyu because you guys can't beat that Bewear?" asked Jessie, then looks at Bewear. "If we don't get out of here, we'll end up on that Bewear's smack down schedule!"
"Smack-down!" screamed James.
"Ah!" screamed Meowth.
"Huh? said Jessie, looking over her shoulder, seeing a unique Pokéball fall out of James's hand. "A Luxury ball? Ha! Perfect timing."
"Not that!" shouted James as she picks it up. "It's part of my precious collection."
"Your collection?" asked Jessie, feeling heartless at his tone. "It's valuable when someone uses it!"
"Don't do it!" James beseeched Jessie. "Anything but that!"
"Turn it down!" Jessie bellowed and throws the Luxury ball at Mimikyu, hitting it right on target.
"Ah!" Team Rocket cried out.
"Direct hit." said Jessie.
"Hmm." Meowth said nervously as the Luxury ball finally accepted Mimikyu.
"I caught it!" Jessie exclaimed.
"It's part of the family!" said Meowth. "Yay!"
"Wobbuffet!"
"My poor collection." James sobbed. Jessie giggles as she goes over to get Mimikyu when Bewear grabs her arm. Fear starts to set in on Jessie's face as Bewear picks her up. "Get your big paws off me!" shouted Jessie as she struggles against Bewear.
"Bewear. Bewear." said Bewear as it carries her to the others.
"No!" shouted Meowth. "Bewear says time to strap on the ol' feeding bag!"
"Jessie's not a bag!" said James as Bewear sets her down.
"You've got to come out and help us, Mimikyu!" shouted Jessie. "Mimikyu! Mimikyu! "Uh..." Bewear cuts off her cry for help by giving her some honey.
"What is that? Yummy! Delicious! Richer than rich!" said Jessie as she went on about the honey.
"That's nummy honey nectar!" said Meowth and Bewear pours some in his mouth. "Ah! Sweets for the sweet."
"Ah!" said James as Bewear does the same. "What a succulent taste!"
"Wob!" said Wobbuffet. "Wobbuf!"
"Succulent doesn't begin to describe it! Ah!" Team Rocket said in unison.
"Welcome to the Melemele Island Pokémon center." said Nurse Joy.
"Blissey!" said Blissey.
"Comfey!" said Comfey.
"I really need your help, Nurse Joy." said Ash.
"Bounsweet." said Bounsweet.
"Pika..." said Pikachu, laying out on a stretcher.
"Don't worry. Pikachu will be fine in no time." said Nurse Joy. "All right, Blissey."
"Bliss. Blissey." said Blissey.
"The Pokémon center is where you can heal your Pokémon and restore its strength and treat any status conditions." said Rotom, then takes a picture of Nurse Joy. "Updating Nurse Joy. Updating info."
"Hey, Rotom Dex, that Pokémon, who is it?" asked Ash.
"Let's see." said Rotom, taking a picture of Comfey. "Comfey, the Posy Picker Pokémon. A fairy type, it releases a relaxing scent from the flowers it picks. The scent has a healing effect and can cure status conditions."
Comfey gives Ash the flowers it picked, causing Jordan to smell the flowers." Comfey picked the most beautiful flowers." said Jordan, smiling. "They smell nice."
"Lucar…" said Meeko, smelling the flowers around Ash's neck. "Lucario."
"Ah!" said Ash, agreeing with his sister. "It's the perfect assistant for Nurse Joy."
"Blissey is perfect, too!" said Mallow.
"A correct assessment." said Rotom. "Blissey, the Happiness Pokémon. A normal type, when it senses someone sad with its fur, it will rush over, no matter how far and share its lucky egg that brings a smile to everyone."
At the cafeteria, Ash, Jordan and Mallow were having a snack as Blissey brings out Pikachu. "Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu.
"I'm happy to say Pikachu is fully healed." said Nurse Joy.
"Blissey." said Blissey.
"Pika-Pika!" Pikachu said, jumping into Ash's arms.
"Oh!" said Ash.
"Glad you're back, Pikachu." said Mallow.
"Lucario! Cario!" Meeko shouted in happiness, picking her honorary brother up for a hug and swings him around.
"Pika, Pika." Pikachu tells her.
"Bounsweet." said Bounsweet.
"Pikachu."
"A test." said Rotom, pulling Pikachu's tail, causing Pikachu to send out a Thunderbolt.
"Seriously, Rotom?! Didn't you learn the first time about pulling Pikachu's tail?" asked Jordan, seeing the scorch marks on Ash and Rotom. "You pull his tail, Pikachu is going to use Thundershock and if Pikachu uses Thundershock, we all get hurt."
"Sorry." said Rotom.
"Next time, listen to my advice." Jordan advised. "We don't need to keep getting Thundershock all the time."
Outside, the flock of Pikipek, Trumbeak and the small round Pokémon were on their way back from gathering their meal. "Trumbeak." said Trumbeak, leading them back to the nest. At the nest, the evolved form of Trumbeak was waiting with two of the Pikipek. "Cannon. Cannon. Toucan." said Toucannon. When one of the small round Pokémon came up with the windchime, Trumbeak got angry with it.
"Trumbeak." said Trumbeak, grabbing its wing and telling it off. "Trum. Beak. Beak. Beak."
"(Trills)" said the small Pokémon, tilting its head to the side.
"Trumbeak. Beak. Beak. Beak." said Trumbeak as the small Pokémon fell asleep. A Pikipek squeaked to Trumbeak, letting it know that its friend will do better next time they went out.
Trumbeak nodded before looking at its friend, who was sleeping. "Beak! Beak. Beak. Beak." said Trumbeak, waking it up.
"Ooh!" said the small Pokémon, waking up.
"Piki." sighed Pikipek, causing its friend to sigh as well.
"Beak!" shouted Trumbeak, causing both of them to whimper and take off.
"Toucannon." said Toucannon. The next day, Ash, Jordan, Pikachu and Meeko where at Mallow's restaurant. "Today's the day." said Ash, eating a piece of pineapple. "Jordan and I are catching a Pokémon. That's for sure."
"We can do it, Ash." said Jordan. "I know we can."
"Pika." Pikachu said in agreement.
"Lucario." added Meeko.
"The current Pokémon encounter rate in the forest behind the Pokémon school is 89%." said Rotom.
"That just might work." said Mallow, then looks at Bounsweet. "The forest is where I first came across Bounsweet."
"Bounsweet." said Bounsweet, smiling as she releases Sweet Scent.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu as he and Meeko, relaxing. Overhead, both Pikipek and the small Pokémon were tired when Sweet Scent hits the small round Pokémon.
"Oh. Oh. Oh!" they both said, then sees Bounsweet sitting on the railing of the restaurant, mistaking it for a berry. Determined, the small Pokémon flew down in attempt to get Bounsweet while Pikipek flew to the roof.
"Huh?"
"Pika?"
"Cario?"
"(Trilling)"
"Bounsweet!" shouted Bounsweet, twirling her leaves at them.
"Hey! Who's that Pokémon?" asked Ash.
"And why is it attacking Bounsweet?" asked Jordan.
"Leave it to me." said Rotom. "Rowlet, the Grass Quill Pokémon. A Grass and Flying type, its stores energy during the day from photosynthesis. It swoops down without making a sound and unleashes a powerful kick without being noticed."
Rowlet tries again to get Bounsweet, who knocks it back. "Wow." said Ash.
"It's so cute." said Jordan.
"But there is no doubt Bounsweet noticed and both Rowlet met with a strong defense instead of unleashing a powerful kick." said Rotom.
"Because Bounsweet's used to it." said Mallow.
"Bounsweet's used to it?" asked Ash.
"You see, Bounsweet's scent is..." Mallow started to explain.
"Wait! Allow me to explain the rest!" said Rotom, then pulls up the data on Bounsweet. "Bounsweet, the fruit Pokémon. A Grass type. It's always emitting a delicious scent from its body."
"Bounsweet!" said Bounsweet, sending another Sweet Scent.
"Lured by its scent, many flying Pokémon mistake it for a berry." said Rotom.
"(trilling)" said Rowlet, coming back for round 3.
"Ah! Its attacking again!" said Rotom as Bounsweet defenses herself.
"Pika." said Pikachu. Rowlet took flight, with their feet catching on a cable.
"Lucario?" asked Meeko, tilting her head.
"Maybe that Rowlet is really hungry." said Ash.
"Poor thing. It must be starving." said Jordan as Meeko picked some fruit for the quill Pokémon.
"Pika-Pika!" said Pikachu as the quill Pokémon fall to the ground.
"Huh? Uh!" Ash jumps over the railing and rushes out to catch it. Rowlet opens it bleary eyes before closing them. Minutes later, Rowlet opens its eyes again to see Ash and Jordan staring at it.
"Are you okay?" Ash asked the Rowlet on his backpack. Rowlet whimpers as it looks up at Ash and then at Jordan. Rowlet tilted its head at the siblings.
"Thank goodness." said Ash. Soon as Rowlet stood up, it squealed, realizing that it was safe. It then see a bowl of fruit on the porch and head towards it, eating its fill. "Talk about an appetite." said Ash, holding out a banana.
"And a pretty big appetite at that." said Jordan, holding out an apple for Rowlet. "It has a bigger appetite than you, Ash."
"Cario, Lucario." said Meeko, holding out a slice of melon.
"The amount of food and the speed that it eats is incredible!" said Rotom.
"Pika." said Pikachu as Rowlet tilts back its head while eating a melon.
"Lucar." said Meeko, studying Rowlet closely before looking up at the roof of the restaurant.
"Want this, too?" asked Ash and Jordan, holding out the fruit towards Rowlet. Rowlet looked at each of the fruits and jumped onto Ash's arm, trilling in happiness. "Oh." said Ash, looking at Rowlet. "Man, you've got a strong grip."
"Ooh." said Rowlet, sighing as it had their fill.
"Did you like it?" asked Ash.
"Do you want more?" asked Jordan.
"(Trills)" said Rowlet
"That's great. Glad you're happy." said Ash. "Wow! You're so soft!"
"And so cute." said Jordan, petting the side of Rowlet.
"Cari?" asked Meeko as she comes up behind Jordan and touches Rowlet's head. "Lucario."
"(Trills)" said Rowlet as it sighed. Mallow had set a watermelon in the bowl, beside Jordan. "Aw. Hey, Rowlet." said Ash, taking out a Pokeball. "Is it okay if I catch you?"
Instead of replying to his question, Rowlet realized that it was late. Rowlet next to Ash grabs the watermelon and takes off towards the forest with Pikipek close behind. "Huh? Hey! Wait up!" said the siblings, going after them.
"Huh?"
"Pika."
"Lucar."
"Are you going to catch it?" asked Rotom.
"It's a trainer tradition, Rotom." said Jordan. "And in this family, you're taught not to break tradition."
"You bet. Let's go!" said Ash, as he and Jordan take off with Mallow.
"Right!" said Rotom.
"Pika! Cario!" At Bewear's cave, Jessie and James exited out into the open. "It looks safe. Let's go." said James.
"I've got my Luxury ball containing Mimikyu!" said Jessie, holding the ball.
"And thanks to Bewear's yummy honey, we're stuffed, too!" said Meowth as he and Wobbuffet rubbed their stomachs.
"Wobbu. Wobbu." said Wobbuffet. James sadly sighs at the moment. "Beak!" screeched Trumbeak as it heads for Team Rocket.
"Huh? said James, looking up. Trumbeak and the flock of Pikipek flew into Bewear's cave, taking as much fruit as they possibly can with their claws. "Ah!" shrieked James.
"They couldn't have!" yelled Jessie.
"They took Bewear's food!" shouted Meowth.
"They're terrible!" said James.
"Let's get it back! We owe Bewear for feeding us and giving us shelter, so not helping would be against our evil ways!" Jessie said to the boys.
"Right! Yes, ma'am." said James.
"Jessie's right! She's too cool for school!" said Meowth.
"Wobbuffet." said Wobbuffet.
"Toucan. Toucannon." said Toucannon, pacing in its nest and remembers the eggs in its nest. It remembered warming the eggs with its beak, hatching into five small Pikipeks. Behind Toucannon's beak was Rowlet, sleeping. Rowlet wakes up to see that it was in a Toucannon nest.
Suddenly, Toucannon hears both Pikipek and Rowlet returning. "Toucan." said Toucannon, seeing that Rowlet was carrying a watermelon. "Toucannon."
"Trumbeak!" said Trumbeak, landing at the nest and praising both Rowlet and Pikipek.
Catching up to Rowlet and Pikipek, Ash, Jordan and Mallow see the nest displayed on the ground. "Wow." Jordan said in awe.
"There they are. Over there!" said Ash as Rowlet caught their attention.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Lucar." said Meeko.
"Bounsweet." said Bounsweet.
"Here's where I come in!" said Rotom, going over to the nest.
"Pikipek, the Woodpecker Pokémon. A normal and flying type. It can unleash 16 pecks per second to drill a hole into a tree where it stores food."
"Trumbeak, the Bugle Beak Pokémon and the evolved form of Pikipek. It attacks its opponents by firing seeds stored in its beak."
"Toucannon, the Cannon Pokémon and the evolved form of Trumbeak. Its beak heats up to over 200 degrees and its peck can inflict a serious burn." Rotom goes over to Toucannon and touches its beak.
"Cannon." said Toucannon, watching Rotom very closely.
"What's this?" asked Rotom, touching the beak as Toucannon starts heating up its beak. "It's not hot at all. That's strange."
"Touc." said Toucannon, annoyed with Rotom that he was in its personal space and creates heat. "Touc!"
Rotom started to scream as Toucannon's beak finally reached 200 degrees, burning his arm. "I would say something about Rotom being near that kind of heat but kids and adults read this." said Jordan.
"Smart move." said Mallow.
"Wow. I had no idea you had so many awesome friends." said Ash as Rowlet flies over to him and buries itself into Ash's backpack. Jordan goes over to the nest where a Pikipek and Trumbeak, but keeps her distance. "I hope you guys will have enough to eat." she said, looking at the pile of fruit in the nest in front of her.
She then goes through her backpack and pulls out another apple and a banana. "Here you go, Toucannon." said Jordan, placing both fruit into the nest. "I was saving them for later as a snack for me and Meeko, but you guys need it more than me."
"Toucannon." it said, nodding at the young girl and gives her a smile to which she returned.
"You know, I never seen a Toucannon smile at someone before." said Rotom.
"That's my sister for ya. She's always likes doing kind things." said Ash.
"Lucario." said Meeko, proud of her trainer as she joins her at Toucannon's nest. Suddenly, a net comes out of nowhere and covers the Pikipek. "Toucan!" shouted Toucannon as it and Trumbeak fires Bullet seed before the net covers them as well.
"What's going on?" asked Ash.
"Ashy!" shouted Jordan as she and Meeko were both caught in the net as well.
"Jordan!" he and Mallow shouted.
"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu.
"Lucario!" shouted Meeko, struggling against the net.
"Did someone ask something? We're here to find out!" said Jessie.
"Noble answers are what we're all about!" said James.
"The beauty so radiant, the flowers and moon hide in shame. A single flower of evil in this fleeting world. Jessie!"
"The nobly heroic man of our times! The master of darkness fighting back against a tragic world! Its James."
"It's all for one and one for all! A glittering dark star that always shines bright! Dig it, while Meowth takes flight!"
"Team Rocket, lets fight!" said Jessie and James.
"That's right!" said Meowth.
"Wobbuffet!" said Wobbuffet.
"Jordan?" asked Ash.
"Got it." said Jordan, making another mark in her notebook.
"You're those guys from the other day!" said Mallow.
"Team Rocket! Let Pikipek, my sister and the rest go!" shouted Ash.
"We got the baby twerp?" asked Meowth.
"Yeah...ya did." said Jordan, trying to pull apart her section of the net. "And this isn't the first time that you've done it, ya know."
"Sorry but the Twerp loses again." said Jessie. "They shoplifted Bewear's food and that's a no-no!"
"And we're here to take it back. That way, we can pay it back!" said James.
"Wobbuffet!" said Wobbuffet.
"I go boom!" said Meowth, shooting a net launcher at the next of fruit.
"And we're going to give your Pikachus as perfect presents to the boss." Jessie said, smugly as Jordan grumbled in a low breath. "Take it away, Mimikyu!"
"Mi!" said Mimikyu, seeing Pikachu.
"Mimikyu! Take care of them the way you know how!" screamed Jessie and Mimikyu created a shadow ball from its body, sending it towards Pikachu.
"Ash, you got this, right?" asked Jordan.
"Lucario?" asked Meeko
"Yeah, no worries." he tells her.
"That was Shadow Ball." said Meowth.
"Pikachu, Electro ball!" shouted Ash.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu, sending out an Electro Ball.
"Rowlet, now's your chance to save your friends." Ash whispered to the one in his backpack.
"(Trills)" said Rowlet as it comes out of Ash's backpack.
"All right, Pikachu, Iron Tail!"
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted as his tail light up and hit Mimikyu at the same time. Mimikyu bends backwards before standing up straight again, scaring Pikachu and Meeko.
"Pika?"
"Rio?"
"(Trills)" said Rowlet as it silently cuts the net with its feet.
"Rowlet cut through that rope with just one kick!" exclaimed Rotom.
"Go, Rowlet." said Jordan.
"Lucario!" said Meeko.
"What happened?" asked James.
"It's one of them?" asked Meowth.
"Mimikyu! Quick, attack one more time!" shouted Jessie. Mimikyu then jumps on top of Pikachu and starts beating him up. "Pika! Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Check out Mimikyu's Play Rough." said Meowth.
"Hoot." said Rowlet as it frees its friends.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu.
"Oh! Pikachu!" shouted Ash and Rowlet looks back.
"Mimikyu, wrap it up!" commanded Jessie and a claw comes out of Mimikyu.
"Shadow Claw! Cool!" said Meowth.
"It knows Shadow Claw, too!" exclaimed James.
"You okay, Pikachu?" asked Ash.
"Pi...ka." said Pikachu.
"Hang in there, Pikachu." said Jordan. Just as Mimikyu was about to grab Pikachu with Shadow Claw, glowing leaves surround Rowlet, who then sends it towards Mimikyu. "Oh!" exclaimed Ash.
"I know that move. Leafage!" said Mallow. Leafage surrounds Pikachu so that Rowlet picks him up, causing Mimikyu to miss. "Nice job, Rowlet. Pikachu, you okay?" asked Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Uh...what about me, Ash?" asked Jordan. "Your one and only sister who's still trapped over here?"
"I'm coming, Jordan." said Ash before looking at Pikachu. "Then Thunderbolt, let's go!"
"Pika..." Pikachu started as Mimikyu looks for him on the ground before looking up. "Chu!"
"You have a habit of doing this to me, you know?" said Jordan as Ash temporarily forgets that she was still trapped.
"I know, I know. You never let me forget about it." replied Ash. His thunderbolt hits right on target. "Ah!" screamed James.
"Mimikyu!" shrieked Jessie. Rowlet finally frees Toucannon, Trumbeak, Jordan and Meeko. "Ash!" shouted Jordan as she runs back to her brother.
"I'm glad you're okay, Jordan." said Ash, hugging her.
"Lucar, Lucario." said Meeko, hugging Ash as well.
"Trumbeak!" said Trumbeak, stretching its wings.
"Cannon." said Toucannon.
"(Trills)" said Rowlet.
"Mimikyu!" said a worn out Mimikyu, using the last of its strength to go after Pikachu with another Shadow Ball.
"Huh?" said Wobbuffet as it was picked up by a certain Pokémon.
"Huh?" said Meowth as Jessie and James followed suit. Even Mimikyu was plucked out of the air. "Is this..." said Jessie.
"A déjà vu?" asked James.
"Bewear again." said Jessie and James.
"Wobbuf." said Wobbuffet.
"Bewear, Bewear." said Bewear as it takes off with Team Rocket.
"Cool your jets, bub!" said Jessie. "We're just trying to pay back for the food and shelter you gave us!"
"Bewear." said Bewear.
"Off with a new blast!" shouted Team Rocket.
"Wobbuffet." said Wobbuffet.
"They're all gone." said Mallow.
"Yeah." said Ash.
"You know, Ash...I actually starting to miss seeing them blasting off into the sunset." said Jordan.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Lucario." said Meeko, nodding. "Lucar, Cario."
All of the Pikipek gathered around Rowlet, praising it, especially Trumbeak. "Toucan. Cannon." said Toucannon as Rowlet blushed at its friends.
"Rowlet looks so happy." said Ash.
"It's wonderful." said Mallow.
"Especially the Pikipek next to it." said Jordan.
"Which Pikipek?" asked Mallow.
"The one that was on the roof of your restaurant." she tells her. "It was watching us when we were feeding Rowlet."
"You noticed that one?" asked Rotom.
"Yep."
"Pika."
"Rio."
"Swee."
Suddenly Ash and Jordan walked up to the entire flock. "Rowlet?" asked Ash and it flies over to him, landing on his shoulder. A Pikipek that Jordan recognized from the restaurant hops over to her. "Rowlet, thanks. Everybody's fine, thanks to you." said Ash.
"Pika! Pika!" Pikachu tells Rowlet.
"Mm!" said Rowlet.
"That was a powerful kick." Rotom added, causing Rowlet to fill up with pride.
"Pika."
"Pikipek, are you okay?" Jordan asked, picking up the Pikipek she saw from the restaurant.
"Piki, Pikipek." said the littlest Pikipek, nodding.
"Good. I'm glad." said Jordan, petting Pikipek's head in a loving manner. Toucannon watched as Ash and Jordan sets down both Pokémon. "See you." they said.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Lucario." said Meeko, petting Rowlet and Pikipek on the head.
"Okay, guys, let's go home." said Ash.
"Okay, Ash." said Jordan.
"Huh?" said Mallow.
"Going home?" asked Rotom. "I thought you were going to catch Rowlet."
"It's okay." said Ash.
"Yeah." said Jordan.
"Ash, Jordan, are you sure?" asked Mallow.
"Does not compute." said Rotom.
"Thing is...Rowlet has a lot of friends." said Ash. "Look at them! They're a family."
"I don't want to take Pikipek away from its family." said Jordan. Both Rowlet and Pikipek looked longingly at Ash and Jordan. Toucannon knew what it had to do. "Toucannon." said Toucannon.
"So, it's all fine." said Ash.
"Huh." Rowlet trills after Ash and Jordan as they were heading out of the forest, wanting them to come back when Toucannon pushes both it and Pikipek in the siblings direction. "Huh?" said both Pokémon.
"Toucannon." said Toucannon, pointing its wing to Ash and Jordan.
"Hm." said Rowlet.
"Piki." said Pikipek. Rowlet and Pikipek looked up at Toucannon, wondering if it was really sure. "Cannon." said Toucannon. Both Rowlet and Pikipek were happy at Toucannon's answer. Just before they took off, Toucannon gives Rowlet a Poke-egg.
"Toucannon, Cannon." Toucannon instructed Rowlet, pointing to Jordan's backpack.
"(Trills)" said Rowlet, nodding as it grabs a hold of the egg with its feet. Rowlet and Pikipek took off after the small group, with Rowlet dropping the egg in Jordan's arms. "Huh?" said Jordan, then feels something sharp land on her head.
"Huh?" said Ash, then looks back at Rowlet, who pops up in the backpack. "Rowlet! What's up?"
"Pikipek, what are you doing up there?" asked Jordan, seeing Pikipek in her face.
"(Trills)" said Rowlet, pointing back at Toucannon and the others.
"Huh?" said the brother and sister as they looked back. Jordan smiles as Trumbeak and the other Pikipek waved goodbye. "Thank you, Toucannon!" said Jordan, waving back. "I'll make sure that this Pikipek makes you proud."
"Toucannon!" Toucannon called out as Rowlet and Pikipek wave good bye.
"Rowlet, are you saying that you and Pikipek want to come with me and Jordan?" asked Ash. Rowlet warbled as it rubs its head against Ash. "Pikipek." said Pikipek, flying down from Jordan's head to her shoulder.
"Pika! Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Lucar! Lucar!" said Meeko.
"This is the best day ever!" said Jordan.
"Unbelievable!" said Rotom.
"Awesome! I really wanted you to be with me as well, Rowlet." said Ash.
"I can't wait to have fun with you, Pikipek." said Jordan as Mallow chuckles. Both Rowlet and Pikipek flew off them, staring at them. "Rowlet?" asked Ash.
"Pikipek?" asked Jordan.
"What's Rowlet and Pikipek doing?" asked Rotom. Ash and Jordan looked at each other and took their Pokéballs. "What do you think?" asked Ash. "You want us to catch you, right?"
"Piki." said Pikipek as Rowlet hoots.
"All right, then here we go, Rowlet and Pikipek." said Ash.
"Go, Pokeball!" they shouted, sending their Pokéballs at the Pokémon. Hitting their marks, Rowlet and Pikipek went inside. As both Pokéballs fall to the ground, Ash and Jordan caught them in midair. Just then, the sound went off, letting them know that they caught their first Alolan Pokémon. "I just caught a Rowlet!" shouted Ash.
"Pika! Pika!" shouted Pikachu.
"I just caught a Pikipek!" shouted Jordan.
"Lucar." said Meeko.
"What?" Rotom shrieked. "It's possible to catch Pokémon like that?"
"Of course. It counts." said Ash.
"Pika. Pika." said Pikachu.
"As they always say, Rotom, you learn something new every day." said Jordan.
"Lucario." said Meeko.
"Great. I think Ash and Jordan have done this before." said Mallow.
"Bounsweet." said Bounsweet.
"Okay, Rowlet, come out." said Ash.
"You too, Pikipek." said Jordan. Both Pikipek and Rowlet come out of their Pokéballs, happy to be caught. "Huh?" said Ash, Jordan and Mallow as Rowlet heads for Ash's backpack.
"Pika?"
"Cario?"
"Piki?" They see that Rowlet gets comfortable in there. "Nice. I guess you like my backpack, right, Rowlet?" asked Ash.
"More like it loves your backpack." said Jordan as Rowlet trills.
"Pika." said Pikachu as Rotom takes a picture.
"A Rowlet that likes backpacks. Must update data." said Rotom. Ash, Jordan, Pikachu, and Meeko laugh at Rowlet. "Pika. Pika." said Pikachu.
"Lucari." said Meeko.
Narrator: Ash and Jordan have caught their first Pokémon from Alola, a Rowlet and Pikipek. Easygoing, with a fond for food, Rowlet shows incredible strength when helping its friends. What say you, Jordan?
Jordan: I say...as soon as I find a good nickname for Pikipek once I know the gender.
Pikipek, looking at the viewers and poking its wing at the screen: Pikipek?
Meeko: Lucario.
