Time off

Mina didn't know what to think. Of course she was worried for Izuku, he was one of the closest people to her at school; but the mischievous looks coming from the two other girls in the room made her feel awkward. "Wh-what?"

"Nothing~" Endorsi sang; her grin widened.

"We're simply noticing that you're the only one out of the class that came to visit little Izuku." Another girl said. She had jet-black hair and a terrific figure; long, slender legs and a petite-yet-curvy body.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I saw you before. I'm-

"Ashido Mina; I've heard a lot about you from Izuku, he seems quite fond of you." The girl turned toward her, "I'm Jahaad Yuri, another older sister of Izuku."

"Damn; is everyone in your family gorgeous or something? You guys won the genetic lottery."

"Fu fu; yes, I suppose we and our sisters have indeed been blessed with above-average looks. Though, it seems that you are not too far off." The older Jahaad cooed, "You are quite the eye-catcher yourself."

Mina smiled, "That's quite the compliment coming from- wait; did you say you have even more sisters?"

"Well, not related" Endorsi joined in, "We're all adopted under the Jahaad name. Most of us came from prestigious families known for shinsu affinity. Izuku was always the odd one out; he was born without a family name, already an orphan. It doesn't help that he's the only boy. But we've always loved and cared for him like he was our own little baby brother."

"Why's it only girls?"

"Hahaha! Well, the original family leader was apparently a huge pervert; after he died, it became a sort of tradition for centuries that beautiful young girls with high shinsu affinity would be taken into the Jahaad family and be tested in several trials to earn the Jahaad name and crest. They called us the Princesses of Jahaad." Endorsi dangled her red pendant out for Mina to see.

"Of course, we still keep our original family name if we so choose; I just visited my birth mother not long ago." Yuri added.

"So what's with Izuku to have changed a whole tradition?"

"You mean aside from his handsomeness and charm?" Yuri grinned, "I must say, a lot of the ladies in the family fall for him left and right; I think even I on several occasions had fantas-

"Ooookayy. Moving on?"

"Right; even amongst the strongest members of our family, Izuku has the highest shinsu affinity of anyone. When our scouters found him as a child, he had incredible control without any formal training. A lot of our sisters are able to feel the flow of shinsu if we were to reach out far enough into it, which is strong enough on its own; a lot of shinsu controllers have just enough potency to borrow the smallest portion. But with Izuku it's different. You've felt it, haven't you, the way life seems to pause and the world bends to his influence. It's beyond anything else. He even got the nickname: Oberon."

"Heheh; wouldn't that make Mina-chan Titania?" Endorsi asked; another sly smile painted on her face.

"Who?" Mina was so confused.

"Nobody~" she sang.

"Whatever; how is he? Izuku." The pink girl leaned over the hospital bed, staring at the boy's resting face. Gods, was he handsome.

"He's stable. Whatever had happened to him before we got there was already gone. I assume you saw a red mass come from him?" Endorsi didn't sound at all surprised.

"Uhh; yes, actually. What was that?"

"We call it a Red Blood Spider. High-tier shinsu users are required to make contracts with protective entities for reasons as you have seen. It may have looked gruesome as it does for many others, but it does no harm to the host."

"But why did the taser and sonic grenade do that much damage to him? Isn't he supposed to be incredibly strong or something?"

"Well yes he is strong; plenty stronger shinsu-wise than anyone, even at his young age. But even strong users can't do everything. He was probably too distracted by something else predict the use of those weapons." Yuri sighed, "He's probably going to ask to review the footage so to see what mistakes he made."

"It doesn't help that shinsu is highly conductive of electricity due to its nature." Endorsi added.

"So it was just a really unfortunate incident that was up to coincidence?"

"Oh absolutely not." Yuri couldn't help smiling, "It takes a lot to take little Izuku down. The fact that one of you students were able to do that is an amazing testament to this generation's intelligence and adaptability. What happened after was unfortunate, but none of you could have possibly known what was going to happen. And I don't think Izuku would hold a grudge against his opponents."

"Yeah; he's a sweetheart…" Mina once again gazed at Izuku in his sleeping state. "Oh well, I was hoping he'd be awake by now. It was nice talking to you both and I will see you," she pointed to Endorsi, "tomorrow."

"Oh? What's going on tomorrow?" Yuri asked.

"Tomorrow marks our first girls' night for class 1A. We're going to the mall to shop around and gossip with each other." The pinkette replied triumphantly.

"Awn; that sounds lovely."

"I might not make it, depending on our training regiment, but I'll try."

"Aww, alright. Okay; I'm gonna get going. See you guys later!" Mina waved on her way out the door, breaking into a sprint as soon as the door closed. She was only able to go see Izuku after class and it was already late; her parents were probably worried about her, not to mention her siblings. Looking down at her phone, she noticed twenty-six missed calls and texts from the lot of them; her mom, dad, and both older and younger brother. The only two who didn't text her were her two little sisters, who were too young to own phones anyway. Though, it seemed the twins were able to apprehend mom's and send a sloppy message. Mina sighed, "Figured as much."

By the time the girl got home there was barely any light out, just enough that the streetlamps didn't come on. Opening the door, she was met with a group hug and unintelligible words. It took some effort, but she was able to pry off her parents and siblings. "What is going on?! Why're you guys piling all over me?"

"Why is Mina-nee late?" Kitsu, the youngest, pleaded; her slightly older twin, Akari, nodding with tears rolling down her cheeks. The twins were fifth generation, already having quirks a birth. Kitsu had a more focused version of Mina's with Citric Acid, giving her bright orange hair. At first, their parents wanted to name her "Himari", after her hair and bright character, but later chose Kitsu for her quirk and love for tangerines. Akari followed in their mom's footsteps with Spike, a similar quirk to "Horn", but not only did she have the two passive horns on her head like the rest of the family (minus Dad, Mina supposed), she also had the ability to produce little spikes all around her body. Her name came from her long, white hair, courtesy of the Ashido Matriarch; in all honesty, she was like a miniature version of the woman.

"Aww, I'm so so SO sorry. But I had to see a friend he injured himself today during our battle trials; it would be quite mean of me to not after all he's done for me." Mina smiled, "Hey, I know! How would you like to go with me and hang out at the mall tomorrow? I can introduce you to all the girls in my class!"

That seemed to calm the girls down; the tears stopped falling and they excitedly ran around and up into their room after Mom said it was bed time. Mina's little brother, Yasu, soon left for his room as well; that left the oldest four of house Ashido. Awkward.

After a couple seconds of silence, Mina's mom perked up, "Oh oh; is it that cute boy you came home with the other week?"

"Mom!" The pink girl started changing shades, "Can't you read the room!"

"Aww, but he was so cute! Ryosuke, you should have seen it honey; he is such a handsome and good boy!"

One would expect Mina's father to be upset; it's natural for a dad to be mad when their daughter has a boyfriend, (or a friend who just so happens to be a boy). But that was quite far in the case of the Ashido family. "Hahaha, is that so?" The big man was the complete definition of "jolly", always wearing the trademark Ashido grin. His laugh was contagious, and he always found a way to make a bad situation better. It would be fair to say he was the glue to the family. His quirk, Acid, is where Mina and the twins got their quirk from; his pink skin and hair transferred over to his oldest daughter, though a bit bolder due to the increased potency of Mina's quirk. Instead of becoming a hero himself, the house Patriarch went into welding, using his quirk to melt steel or iron structures together on the docks. It wasn't the most flashy or outstanding job, but it paid the bills and put food on the table. "My daughter is growing up so fast." He shed a tear, "So, who's this boy that caught you eye? I'm sure he's quite the guy to be worth my daughter." A proud smile appeared on his face; he loved to boast about his family any time he can.

"Oh come on Dad, not you too." The pink girl groaned.

"Okay, leave her alone Dad. You too, Mom." Finally, someone with some sense of humility. At least that's what she thought; looking over to her older brother, he was not happy. What did he have to be upset about?

"Aww; don't be so mad. I think we raised you kids well enough to make good relationship decisions." Their mother sighed, "Besides, you can't be upset at her when you have a girlfriend yourself."

"Whatever. But if he does anything I don't approve of, he's dead." Yori always tried to live up to his name; to be the protector of his little siblings was the job of the older brother, anyway.

"Sure, bro; keep tellin' yourself that." Mina laughed. As much as she appreciated the protectiveness of her big bro, but to say you're gonna overpower Izuku is a different story.

"So he's strong, then? Hahaha; it's always good to know the kids these days aren't just into the Instachats and Snapgrams!" Ryosuke laughed as his kids rolled their eye. He knew what social media was, but it was fun to make puns. "Then again, this is U.A. we're talking about; I can't assume there's much time to be doing any of that stuff."

"It's not all that; we're still able to enjoy ourselves after school or on the weekends. Izuku's just like that, I guess; I wouldn't be surprised if he jumped out of his medical bed and started practicing." Mina responded.

"Oh, that's right; what happened to the poor boy?" their mom asked.

"Freak incident during battle sims; apparently his quirk makes him incredibly weak to electricity." The pink girl explained; she heard Yori stifle a laugh, "Before you start laughing, I do hope you know that he and his sister took out four other guys, including the son of Endeavor." That sure shut him up.

"Wow; to go up against a child of a prominent hero – let alone the number two – is quite the achievement." Their dad was quite impressed, "Now I definitely want to meet 'im!"

"Of course you do." Mina rolled her eyes, smiling.

"Oh; I know! Why don't you invite him over on Sunday? You're gonna need help moving your stuff into the dorms, and he seems like the type to help. After getting everything moved, it'll probably be time for dinner; we can learn about him over some nice food." Her husband looked at her with puppy eyes. She sighed and gave a peck on his cheek, "Of course, honey; you can grill us something up."

The pinkette rolled it around in her head for a minute. Introducing a boy to your parents was usually an event reserved for further along a relationship, but she was never really one for taking things slow. Besides, she definitely would like to spend more time with him. "Y'know, that sounds like a great idea. But, you guys have to be on your best behavior; Izuku isn't exactly the most social person on the planet, so try not to overwhelm him."

"Of course, sweetie." The house Matriarch assured her daughter that it would go smoothly, "Now that that's over with, go take a shower; you smell like a goat."

"Boo." The girl complied and went to clean herself up. She had a big day tomorrow and an even bigger one the next day.

"Wooow; this place is so huuuge!" Kitsu and Akari both gasped at the size of the facility. Sure they'd been there before, but not enough to be used to the enormous architectural landmark.

"Yeah it is. Lets try to go to every store, okay?" Mina-nee crouched down to their level.

"Yeah!" the twins pumped their fists into the air; they were excited to see what was in there. Usually, whenever they went there, it was with their mom and it was only to get a couple cooking things or clothes. The group headed in and to the first store.

"I need some more training shoes for my heroics classes; we can look at some cute ones for you I'm done. It'll only take a second." The pink girl rushed over to the sports section with the twins in tow; true to her word, it only took a couple seconds for her to find the brand she liked and grabbed her size. They looked around for a little longer before leaving, their cart already a quarter full from the shoe boxes.

The next hour went by so fast, the twins didn't even realize. Their cart was nearly full; shoes, clothes, comic books, and sooo many sweets. It was only when Mina-nee got a notification on her phone that the three realized it was already past noon.

"Oh; My friends are already here. let's head back up to the entrance to meet 'em and grab lunch, okay?"

The twins were Kitsu and Akari were excited to meet her friends; it's not every day you get to go shopping with future heroes. Well, aside from their big sister.

"Just let my use the girls' room real quick; go sit on that bench right there and don't move 'til I get out. Can ya do that for me?"

The girls nodded in unison.

"Okay! Just a second." The pinkette went in.

It had only been a few seconds before Kitsu got up. "Hey, let's go check out that claw game over there."

"But Mina-nee just said we gotta stay here." Even if she was only ten minutes older, she had the responsibility to look after her younger twin.

"C'mon, it's just over there; she can still see us when she gets out."

"Fine. But only if you promise one game." She held out her pinky.

"Deal!" the orange-haired girl clasped their pinkies together and walked off to the arcade machine.

Or so they thought. Some nerd was hogging the game all to himself and so they set to head back when another stranger blocked their path. This guy was definitely a weirdo; who's wearing a jacket when it's this hot out? He was just staring at them and neither of the girls liked the feeling. They started heading back and couldn't shake the guy off of their trail. He just kept following them, even when they went into a store. At this point, the girls were scared; they didn't know where they are, where Mina-nee was, where the creep was.

"Hey; are you two alright?" It was a soft voice. The girls looked up to see a fluffy head of green-gold hair resting on a kind face. The boy crouched down so he could be at their height. "Are you lost?"

The twins nodded, "There's a creep following us and we got lost trying to get rid of him." They were crying at this point; they just wanted to be back with their sister.

The boy's face hardened; he stood up and looked around, seeming to have found what he was looking for. He brought himself down again, "It's okay; I'll keep you safe until we can find your family." The boy raised his hands, waving them around in a pattern before resting them on the twins' forehead. "This is going to be an odd sensation for a couple seconds, but please trust me."

A fuzzy warmth spread across their bodies; disappearing as fast as it arrived. Afterwards, the boy guided them out of hiding, he paid for his items, and the group left the store while the creepy man continued to search for them. Did he not see them? Once they gained some distance, another fuzzy feeling covered them again as the boy undid whatever he did to them.

"We should be safe now; let's look for your parents, oka-"

"Izuku?"

Momo was looking all over for the two girls. It was horrifying when the group got an emergency text from Mina saying her twin sisters were lost. They promptly split up and raked over the mall. She rounded a corner when she noticed a familiar head of green, along with two little girls perfectly fitting the description by their pink friend.

"Oh; Yaoyorozu-san. A perfect coincidence, do you mind helping me to locate these girls' guardians?"

"Huh? You didn't know?" Momo thought Izuku was with Mina and knew of the missing girls.

The boy quirked his brow, "It would seem I do not. Are these two safe?" he stepped closer to the two, ready to protect them.

The black-haired girl giggled, "Yes, they are safe, especially with you here." That seemed to calm the boy down. She crouched down to get closer to the children as they were hiding behind Izuku. "Hello, it's nice to meet you. Are you two perhaps Mina's baby sisters? I'm Momo; I'm a friend."

The two girls came out of hiding a little, "Mina-nee?"

"Yes; she's been worried sick looking for you."

"Some creep was stalking the two." Momo noticed a darkness in the boy's eyes. It was quite unsettling to see one of the most tame boys in the class in such a state. "Luckily, I bumped into them while I was grabbing some supplies." He lifted the bag in his right hand; from what she could see, there was a stack of paper and some small brushes.

After a couple more minutes of small talk between the two hero students and the twins, Momo sent a text to the girls' group chat saying she found the girls and said to meet them at the food court. "Alright, let's get moving."

"You can go without me; I still have a few things I need do for today." Izuku crouched down and rested a hand on each of the twins' head, "I trust Yaoyorozu-san; you are in good hands. This is where we part for now."

The girls were reluctant at first, but gave in and joined Momo as they went to see the rest of the group.

"Kitsu! Akari! Oh my gods; I was so worried! Why did you leave?! I told you to stay put!" Ochako never saw her pink friend as the responsible type. Sure, she cared about people and wanted them to be happy and safe, but seeing her worried was not a usual occurrence. It was kinda cute, aside from the whole missing twins thing.

"Apparently, they were being stalked by a creep." Momo, as she asked to be called, interrupted Mina's interrogation, "Izuku was also here, and the little ones bumped into him. I assume you know how the rest goes."

"He has a knack for being at the right place at the right time." Jirou added, "What does that make, twelve?"

"How does he do it?" Hagakure asked

"To be fair, most of those times were from Mineta, kero." Everyone shivered at the thought of that perverted grape. "Not to put down the efforts of the other boys, but Mineta acts a lot less ill-mannered when he's around."

"Speaking of, why's he not here?"

"He said he had some more shopping to do." The two little girls nodding in confirmation.

"Aww; I was gonna ask if he could help me move my stuff." Mina whined.

"Are you sure it's not because you wanted to see your future hubby?"

"Are you kidding? Of course I want to see him!" the pink girl sighed, "My parents also wanted to meet him, so I figured tomorrow was the perfect day. Not only would it be faster to get all of my things packed and brought to the dorms, but we were also gonna try to make him stay for dinner."

"Well why don't you just text him?"

"Because I don't have hos number. Every time I try, something comes up."

"I have his number."

"Same."

"Same."

"I do as well."

"Me too, kero."

"How does everyone have his number but me?!"

"Sorry; I thought you already had it, kero. Had I known you didn't, I would have given it to you."

"Are you kidding? Who wouldn't want his number? That's probably the hottest boy in our class!"

"That's a bit rude to your boyfriend, Uraraka."

"Ei-kun knows his limits." The brown-haired girl said, causing the group to giggle. Aside from the twins who didn't really know what was going on.

"Well, if one of you is so kind to give me his number, it would be greatly appreciated."

Hagakure proceeded to give her the number. The pink girl quickly messaged the boy, and after what seemed like an eternity, Mina jumped up in excitement. "Yes!"

"Yay!" the orange-haired girl jumped up and down while her white-haired sister looked up at Mina, "Does that mean onii-san is coming to our house?"

"Onii-san?"

"Ha! Looks like you got some competition now, Mina."

The girls laughed again. This was fun, hanging out with everyone.

"Yeah; he's coming over tomorrow." Mina managed through her fit of giggles.

The man took another turn down another alley, one of his eyes already bleeding; where was the damn exit? He was beyond terrified, and for good reason; the next turn he made placed him directly in front of his pursuer. What felt like a semi-truck slammed into his chest, throwing him across the alley and into a brick wall. He doubled over, trying to catch his breath; something was definitely broken. The figure of a young man approached him; "Who are you?! What do you want with me!?"

The answer was calm; cold. "Approximately twelve thirty-seven today, you noticed two little girls alone. Instead of trying to assist them in finding their family and ensuring their safety, you followed them in hopes to take advantage of them." He continued towards the fallen man, "Not only did you try to harm two little girls, but those two were the younger sisters of a dear friend."

"Look, I'm sorry! Just let me go!"

"Sorry doesn't undo the fear you placed upon them."

"Please! I have a family!"

"How do you think they would feel if they knew who you were?" He turned around, "You may live for now, however, I will not hesitate to take your life the next time thos happens."

The man smirked; the kid actually fell for it. Sliding his hand behind him, he pulled out a large chefs' knife. It was a mistake to turn your back on him; who said he was just going to listen to what some edgy, egotistical kid told him? He can do whatever he wanted! The man lunged at the stranger, his blade aimed at the base of hi neck. As soon as he died, he'd go back and find those little girls and he'd-

The last thing the villain saw was his own body, headless, slumped on the ground.

"Wrong choice."

"-how to stop the fire."

The news may not have been fun to Mina, but it was better than nothing. Her dad watched it every morning and wouldn't give anyone else the remote until he's done.

"In recent events, the body of a man was found outside of the Musutafu City Mall." The picture on the television showed a blurred image of a body and a lot of blood. Was it missing its head? "The decapitated body was found to belong to a man wanted in several districts for sexual harassment and assault. Illegally using his quirk, Love Potion, to target young girls. The-"

"Oh my god!" the pink girl cried out, startling her dad.

"What!? What happened?!"

"That's the guy I was talking about! He's the one who tried to…" she couldn't bear to finish that sentence. What would have happened if he caught

"That's the guy I was talking about! He's the one who tried to…" she couldn't bear to finish that sentence. What would have happened if he caught her sisters? It scared her to think about it.

"Shhh shhh; its okay, they are safe now." When had her dad started hugging her? Was she crying? Despite knowing, she couldn't stop the tears from running down her face. "We don't blame you, Mina. We know you would have never left them knowing someone like that was around."

"But I did leave them, dad. I should have made them follow me into the bathroom or asked someone to look after them for a moment, or something. But I didn't."

"Not everyone is perfect, Pinky." The girl giggled; she hated when people called her that name, but her dad was an exception, "Take this as a learning opportunity."

"Ugh, you sound like my teacher."

"Well he sounds like a wise man."

The rest of the morning went fairly uneventful; Izuku came over around ten thirty, much to the excitement of the whole family. Even Yasu had some interest in the guy. They all helped to pack up Mina's room; the dorms were a little smaller and provided bedding and furniture, according to their guest, so most of the things transported were her clothes and makeup. Her mom tried to get Izuku to move her undergarments but she made it just in time to shove the boy out of the room. Afterwards, she promptly scolded her mom and apologized to the confused boy. Movies, games, posters, trinkets and a scary amount of stuffed animals took nearly the rest of the day. By the time they were done, everyone was hungry and the house Patriarch had finished cooking the meal.

Everyone pitched in to set the table and they all sat down, mouths watering at the enticing fragrance. As always, Yori was first to stuff his face, quickly followed by Yasu and the twins. Nobody seemed to notice the lack of movement coming from Izuku until he clapped his hands together in silent prayer.

"Oh my; forgive our rudeness, we didn't know." The tall lady apologized.

"It is quite fine; my family has simply been raised very traditionally. I don't expect everyone to follow my footsteps, neither would I want to."

"How about we introduce ourselves? I'm Hana, the mother of these rascals." She gestured to her children, "My quirk is 'Horn'; I'm able to produce horns all over my body. My job is a clothing designer and sometimes even a model."

"You're always a model, my love." Her dad spoke up, earning a smile from his wife and a collective groan from the rest of the table. "Well, I guess it's my turn now. I'm Ryosuke, nice to meet ya!" thrusting his hand out, Izuku quickly met with his and shook it. "Hahaha! Honor and respect, I like it! My quirk is 'Acid', just like a daughter. Mine is a bit less potent, so I do welding on the docks."

"I'm Yori" the oldest brother said in his most 'intimidating' voice, "My quirk is 'Shell', I'm able to produce a hard shell over my back and chest area. It is strong enough to withstand most handgun and riffle rounds. That's why I'm currently training in the police force."

"Why did you decide not to be a hero?" the boy inquired. "It sounds like a terrific quirk for just about all fields, aside from recon I suppose."

The sound of snickering quirked his brow a bit as the older boy sighed, "I used to be called 'turtle-boy' as a child and I figured that was the only name I'd be given if I was a hero."

"It does sound similar to what a turtle or tortoise has, however, I believe that 'aegis' or 'stronghold' could be well-suited names as well." The young boy contemplated for a minute, "Is that truly the only reason for you to choose the police force to heroics? I would have thought it was the lack of protection against blunt force or constant pressure." This surprised just about everyone at the table.

"Yori?" the boy's mother asked, worry on her tongue, "Is that true?"

"Yeah." The boy rubbed the back of his head, "I didn't want you to worry about it. Most small-time criminals carry handguns and the like, so that's why I decided to join. Not to mention it's a slowly fading job; not many people care about the police or other first responders, I wanted to see if I can change that, if only by a little."

"That is a very honorable choice to make." His green eyes shining just a little more, "Your parents must be very proud."

"Good God, you just can't be mad at this guy." Yori held out his hand, "Sorry about trying to intimidate you; it's just the policy of being a big brother, ya know?"

Izuku shook the boy's hand.

Mina's younger brother went next, "I'm Yasu, currently still in school. My quirk allows me to change the PH level of any liquid."

"I see; quite the peculiarities for yourself. Do you know what you want to do with it?"

"I don't think I want to use my quirk." The boy said. "It's not a very black-and-white quirk that I can easily find uses for. I have good knowledge of wiring and electrical stuff, so I was thinking of going to college to learn coding and electronics." He shrugged, "From what I heard, it pays pretty good."

The green-haired boy nodded, "A very good decision based on your skill set. However, those cozy indoor jobs are highly sought after. You will have quite a bit of competition."

"That's what we've been trying to tell him." Mom sighed.

"It is truly a great idea, ma'am." Izuku defended the boy. That was another thing Mina liked about him, always ready to be supportive of others. He once again focused on Yasu, "I believe that if you put forth enough effort, you can do it. I also suggest applying for an electrician; it may not be what you want, but it will give you a head start to your competitors."

Yasu nodded, "I see…"

"Me next, me next!" Akari and Kitsu both shouted, "jinx! Double jinx! Triple-"

"Okay, why don't you both introduce yourselves?" their mother suggested.

"Okay!" the twins said in unison, playing a quick match of rock-paper-scissors to determine who went first. "I'm Kitsu! My quirk is Citric Acid!" the orange-haired girl excitedly waved her arms around, producing a small bit of orange-colored liquid in her hands.

"And I'm Akari! I have a Spike quirk, see?" the white-haired twin closed her eyes and held out a hand. After a second, a hard spike formed on her palm. "I have to concentrate realllly hard to do it."

Izuku smiled, "Those are very interesting quirks."

"Uh-huh!" The older twin nodded, "I wanna punch bad guys in the face; just like Mina-nee!"

The boy laughed, "Is that so? Well, your sister is very strong. It takes a lot of training to be as strong as she is, both physically and mentally." He rested his hand on her head, "I'll be trusting you to save me when the time comes."

"Yeah!"

The boy turned to the youngest, "And what about you?"

"Umm… I wanna be a model like mommy!"

"Awn." Their mother giggled, "Mommy's little model, huh?"

Izuku already knew Mina, so that left the boy himself. "I'm Jahaad Izuku; I recently transferred here from Korea. Our family have been borrowers of shinsu since before the age of quirks; after the dawn of the new era, our quirks have been registered as Shinsu Control. Due to tradition, females of exceptional capability are adopted into the head family for extra training. I was the first male to be brought to the head family, a symptom of my beyond outstanding connection to the shinsu, as well as my status as an orphan."

There was silence; Mina didn't know her crush was an orphan, not to mention the rest of the family.

"I'm so sorry." The girl's dad was the first to break the tension, "It must be hard."

"Oh, not at all. I have found family in my sisters and the matrons. I know my mother is always with me, even if not in person."

"That is a very mature way to think about it." Mom smiled; Izuku returning in kind.

The rest of the visit was pleasant; the two hero students talked about their classes, the family asked more about the boy. The twins took Izuku on a small tour of the house and showed him their pet rabbit, "Bugs". Eventually the evening became night, and it was time for the boy to head back.

"Do you want me to walk you to the station?" Mina didn't know exactly where Izuku lived, but she knew he needed to ride the train there.

"Thank you, Mina-san, but I am not going to the station." His emerald-gold eyes shown in appreciation. "I am actually sleeping at the dorms tonight. I thought about using the walk there to take in the city and orient myself."

"Oh." Well, so much for that.

"But maybe tomorrow after the USJ trip, we can request off and you can show me around. You seem like the type to know their way around."

Mina giggled, "Yeah? How about we make a pinky promise, then?" she held out her small finger. As the boy gripped it with his own, she pulled him toward herself and planted a little kiss on his cheek, running back up the stairs and shutting the front door. In hindsight, he definitely could have prevented that with his pre-cognitive magic stuff. Did the mean he felt the same? A wide grin spread across her face as she skipped up to her room for bed.

Outside, Izuku smiled warmly at the Ashidos' front door, the Pink girl's silhouette still fresh on his mind. He touched his cheek as a peculiar warmth spread through his body. He wasn't dumb; he knew what he was feeling. He liked her bold and excited personality, her ability to make friends with just about everyone, her adaptability, her subtle gratefulness when fighting. Despite her not being the most academically competent, it was obvious that she put a lot of work into herself prior to U.A. And he couldn't help but to be infatuated by her beauty.

The boy wandered through the city, a smile still plastered on his face as he took in the scenery and the nightlife in the city. His sisters were on shift tonight, so he had nothing to worry about besides himself. It was a pretty sight: the lights from billboards and stores bouncing back and forth from the skyscrapers, lighting up street signs and people. It was calm, with most of the daytime rush dying down and smaller conversations between groups of friends here and there.

It didn't take long for Izuku to reach the front gates of U.A. The building was enormous as always; it was taller than most of the buildings around it, further defined by the prestigious school's location on the top of a hill. Nine floors, divided between thirty-three classes, two in-school gyms, three development shops, three research shops, a two-story cafeteria, a staff lounge and office, a conference room, and the principal's office. Not to mention the separate on-campus buildings and structures and training fields which take up the rest of the hill all the way down.

Obviously, hardly anyone was there; Izuku sensed three people inside the walls, and he could already guess who they were. He threw his thoughts out, allowing them to reach his recipient.

" Mr. Nezu sir; good evening."

" My, young Izuku; it is hardly evening. To what do I owe this pleasure?" The principal of U.A. was quite the character; incredibly smart and very good with communication, the quirked animal was able to run an entire hero university almost by himself. It was pleasant to speak with Nezu, what few times he was able.

" I apologize for the inconvenience, however, I was planning on staying in the dorms for the night, due to my stuff being there."

"I see. Well, it is good that I am here, no?"

"Of course, sir."

"Ah; I just got an idea, young Izuku. Do you perhaps like challenges?"

"I cannot particularly say that I do not, sir. What did you have in mind?"

"A game of catch. I'm sure you already know that Eraserhead, as well as Hound Dog, are patrolling the perimeter of U.A."

"Yes sir."

"If you are able to make it into your class's dorm building before your teachers catch you, you win."

"Don't you think it's a bit unfair for a single student to go against two of U.A.'s prestigious teachers?"

"Not at all; not only are you part of two classes hand picked directly by myself to be the next generation of outstanding heroes, but you yourself are also incredibly strong and well connected to your quirk. This is just as much a test of your ability to go against multiple opponents as it is a test of the teachers' and campus' security."

It wasn't the first time Izuku went against multiple people; he, along with his sisters were taught thoroughly about how to take down multiple targets by one's lonesome. Sometimes they were even placed against groups of rankers within their family, though, most of them were already rankers themselves.

"Izuku? Are you still there?"

"Of course. I apologize; I was pondering your request for a moment."

"Have you come across a decision?"

"Yes. Let me know when I may begin."

"Excellent! I will let them know right away then."

It didn't take long for the boy to sense it; the two other figures quickly closing on his position. Sure, he could've just sprint to hos dorms, but that wouldn't make much of a challenge for him. So instead, he pushed a large portion of shinsu outside and surrounded himself to remove his presence.

Not but a few moments later, both Eraserhead, and Hound Dog jumped into the street.

"Get out here, boy!" the latter didn't seem to be enjoying this game.

"Be quiet, Hound." Izuku's homeroom and heroics teacher sounded no less exhausted than usual. "I know that you're somewhere out here kid. Come out so we don't have to hurt you all too much."

"Quite bold of you, Eraser-sensei." Izuku threw his voice into the wind, letting it echo in the air in an eerie response to his teacher's taunt. "You seem to have forgotten; I am highly trained in concealing my presence."

"So was your older sister." The underground hero tapped his goggles, "However, hiding your shape and image does nothing to hide your infrared signature." Eraser exploded in the young hero's direction, catching the boy off guard. Izuku jumped back and ducked as his teacher threw his capture scarf toward him, continuing to dodge the relentless attacks. The boy almost forgot about the other teacher until he heard the sound of growling behind him. Ducking and sliding between the large hero's legs, he was just able to dodge another one of eraser's attempts to catch him. "You got quite the talent to hold your presence while being constantly attacked like this, magic boy." His capture cloth swung around from behind, finally landing a hit on the young hero student's arm; "However, we have years of experience on you."

Izuku was tired; he reabsorbed the shinsu, allowing himself to reappear. "It was a good fight, sensei. I am very tired at the moment; do you mind letting me go so I may head to the dorms?"

With a sigh, the boy's teacher released the capture cloth and let him go. "You're the only one at the dorms, but I still expect you to be at the busses on time tomorrow morning."

"Of course, sensei." The boy set off to the dorms for the night while the two teachers watched him leave.

"That damned brat cheated! Had he not been invisible, I doubt have easily got him!"

"That's cute." Shouta sighed.

"What!?"

"You're too loud. That young boy could have easily beat us both to the dorms, had he wanted to; it was most likely in Nezu's plans to have him test us." That sure shut his partner up, "Come on; I'm too tired to be here any longer."

Ok. I apologize for being so slow at this. I've been having a writer's block sort of, along with a lack of motivation. But I hope this bigger chapter makes up for it to some degree.

Next is the USJ. I'm planning on the class to already be doing rescue stuff when the villains attack.
