Shoutouts:
It was early the next morning and Rockruff was yawning. Following the yawn, Jordan and Meeko yawned as well. "Pikachu!" Pikachu said to Rockruff, causing the puppy to chase after him.
Narrator: After defeating Kahuna Hala and now armed with two Z-Crystals each, Ash and Jordan are taking an advantage of time off from school with some rigorous training.
Jordan, glaring sleepily: Meh.
"Cario….Lucar." yawned Meeko, blinking blearily.
"Can we go back to bed now?" asked Jordan, rubbing her eyes. "It's too early and the sun is barely up."
"Can we go back to bed, please?" begged Meeko.
"Jordan, you and Meeko promised that you would help me." Ash said over his shoulder. "Besides, the two of you need to do this too, you know." Jordan whined a little before Kukui wrapped a blanket around her.
"Thank you." Jordan said quietly, wrapping the blanket around Meeko as well.
"Okay, Pikachu, ready to go?" Ash asked.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Ash, you realize you could also try that out with Rowlet, right?" Kukui pointed out.
"Huh?"
"Remember, Rowlet knows tackle, which is a normal type move." said Kukui. "As long as you and Jordan have a Normalium Z, Rowlet and Leilani can use a Z-Move too. You see?"
"Really? Okay, let's try." said Ash. "Go, Rowlet." Rowlet hoots and trills as it was released from its Pokeball.
"This sand feels nice." mumbled Jordan as she starts to sit down with Meeko about to curl right up in Jordan's lap.
"Lucario." said a tired Meeko.
"Oh, no you don't." said Kukui, pulling her back to feet. "You both are trying this after your brother, Jordan."
"You know that if I have start waking up this early every single day because of Ash's training, that means one of you is putting me to bed early every night." said Jordan.
"I know." said Kukui.
"Rowlet?" said Ash, ignoring the conversation behind him. "You're going to try using a Z-move." Rowlet gives out a hoot as Ash places the Normalium Z in his Z-Ring.
"All right, let's do it!" said Ash as he makes a Z-Move with Rowlet.
"Excellent! Rowlet surrounded itself with its Z-Power!" said Kukui.
"Yeah! All right, Rowlet, Breakneck Blitz!" shouted Ash and Rowlet starts running towards the water. "Maximum power!" Rowlet hits the ocean, parting the water around it before coming to a stop and hoots happily. "(Gasps) That's some power." said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Whoa. Lucar." said Jordan and Meeko.
"You see? Z-Moves really are your trump card." Kukui tells Ash and Jordan.
"They're amazing all right." said Ash. "Great! Come on back, Rowlet!" Rowlet tiredly flies back as the water goes back to its original state. "Rowlet, you okay?" asked Ash.
"Looks like Z-Moves drain Rowlet's energy quickly." said Rotom.
"It can drain Rowlet to use a Z-Move now, but the more you train with it, the less energy a Z-Move will take to execute. You'll see." said Kukui, then turns to Jordan.
"Right. Rowlet, take a good rest." said Ash, returning Rowlet to its Pokeball.
"Now Jordan, it's your turn." said Kukui, looking down at the yawning 8-year-old.
"Pika. Pika?" said Pikachu, looking up just as Jordan was about to take out Leilani and sees Kiawe on his Charizard. "Pikachu!"
"If it isn't Kiawe and Charizard." said Kukui, looking up at the sky.
"Alola!" Ash and Jordan called out.
"Alola!" said Kiawe, then pats Charizard's next to descend.
"Wow, you've sure got a lot of stuff." said Ash as he, Pikachu, Jordan, Meeko and Rockruff looked at what Charizard was carrying. "Hey, is that Moomoo Milk?"
"That's right. Fresh from the farm." said Kiawe.
"Pikachu." Pikachu said to Charizard.
"Morning, Charizard." said Jordan, who was still wrapped in a blanket.
"It's early. I take it that means you're helping out today." said Kukui.
"That's right." said Kiawe.
"What do you mean, helping out?" asked Ash.
"Kiawe's family owns a farm. He helps out by delivering dairy products, collecting empty bottles, things like that." Kukui explained as Pikachu takes a look at a half empty container of milk bottles with Charizard. Charizard looks up and see Jordan then wraps its arms around her.
"Thanks Charizard." said Jordan, smiling.
"Wow. You're sure are a big help." said Ash.
"Nah. It's nothing." said Kiawe.
"So, do you have a lot of Miltank on your family farm?" asked Ash.
"We do. We also have a whole bunch of other Pokémon, like Mudbray and Tauros." Kiawe tells him.
"I wanna see! I wanna see!" begged Ash.
"If he going than I'm going too." said Jordan.
"Kiawe's family's ice cream, its second to none." said Kukui.
"We want some." said the siblings. "Is it okay if we go to Kiawe's house?"
"But Ash, I kinda thought you and Jordan were going to work on your Z-Moves." Kukui said to them.
"We'll do that, too." said Ash. "Kiawe can use Z-Moves, right? So, battling Kiawe's good practice."
"You are something else." said Kiawe.
"Kiawe?" said Jordan, gaining the boy's attention. "You don't have to battle me if you don't want to. You can just watch me to see if I'm doing my Z-Moves correctly."
"That is something I can do, Jordan." said Kiawe, giving her a smile.
"But Kiawe's in the middle of his deliveries." Kukui pointed out to Ash.
"Yeah, then Jordan and I can just help you out." suggested Ash. "You'll finish a lot faster that way."
"I don't mind." said Jordan.
"It's all right with me, Professor." said Kiawe.
"Well, if Kiawe says it's all right with him, then fine." said Kukui. "Just make sure you're a big help and keep an eye on your sister."
"All right!" shouted Ash and Jordan.
"And you can battle me too." Kiawe said to Ash.
"Awesome!" said Ash. "Let's go, you guys!"
"Pika! Cario!" shouted Pikachu and Meeko. In front of Ash and Jordan was a Sky Riding Pokémon. "A Pelipper." said Ash, running down the steps to greet it.
"This Pelipper's really fast." said Kukui. "It's the Quick Attack of flyers."
"Pelipper." said Pelipper.
"Nice to meet you, Pelipper." said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Pelip." said Pelipper.
"You know, you're the most beautiful Pelipper out of all the Pelippers I've seen. And I've seen plenty of Pelippers on my journey with Ash." said Jordan, giving the Pokémon a compliment.
"Pelip?" asked Pelipper, blushing slightly at her compliment.
"Lucario." Meeko said, nodding, causing Pelipper to hug her and Jordan.
"Pelipper!" it exclaimed.
"(Giggling) You're welcome." said Jordan. Up in the air, Ash was on Pelipper, who had Pikachu and Rotom in its mouth. Jordan and Meeko, on the other hand, were both riding with Kiawe on Charizard.
"Whoa, yeah!" shouted Ash.
"Pelip." said Pelipper.
"Ash, make sure you and Jordan keep out of everybody's way!" Kukui called out from the ground.
"Right!" said Ash.
"We will!" said Jordan.
"Pikachu! Lucario!"
"I do my deliveries before I go to school." said Kiawe as Ash delivers a couple of Moomoo milk bottles.
"Wow, you get up really early." said Ash.
"Before the sun's even up." said Jordan.
"I love flying through the Alola skies at sunrise." Kiawe tells them as Ash delivers another set of milk to Mallow's family restaurant. "The fresh morning air feels great, doesn't it?"
Both Ash and Jordan take in a deep breath, smelling the morning air. "It smells nice up here." said Jordan.
"It sure does. Yeah." said Ash.
"After Melemele, we head back to Akala." said Kiawe. "Hold on tight, Jordan and Meeko."
"Lucario!" Meeko called out.
Down below, Team Rocket spots Ash, Kiawe and Jordan as they were curled up next to Bewear. "That's the third ride Pokémon so far." said Meowth.
"Two more sightings and I'm the winner." said James.
"Argh! I'm totally bored!" yelled Jessie.
"Wobbuffet!" said Wobbuffet in agreement when suddenly Bewear rolls over on Jessie.
Ash sighs as he and Jordan see a volcano in the distance. "That's Akala Island." said Kiawe.
"It's the island where you live." said Ash.
"Right. Your first time going there?" he asked.
"Yeah. And I'm super-psyched!" Ash replied.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu. They started to fly towards the volcano of Akala Island. "Cool volcano." said Jordan.
"Cario." said Meeko, taking in a deep breath.
"What's that, Kiawe?" asked Ash.
"Oh, that's Wela Volcano." answered Kiawe.
"Whoa, man, that looks hot." said Ash as they circled around.
"Such a pretty name for a volcano." said Jordan.
"Kiawe! Alola!" said a boy, running out of his home.
"Alola, Harry!" said Kiawe.
"Alola, my name's Ash."
"And I'm Jordan. Alola."
"It's nice to meet you." said Harry.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
"Lucario!" said Meeko.
"Whoa!" said Harry, looking at both Pikachu and Meeko. "That Pikachu and Lucario are so cute. Can I pet them please?"
"Okay. Sure." said Ash.
"Better yet, Meeko can give you a hug if you want." said Jordan.
"It's my first time." said Harry, giggling as he pets Pikachu and gives Meeko a hug.
"So, then, Harry, you all ready for tomorrow?" asked Kiawe.
"Yup! I've got it right here!" said Harry, then takes out a piece of paper from his pocket. "See?" On the piece of paper, was a drawing of a cake with Rowlet on it.
"It's a Rowlet." said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Wow, that's an excellent drawing." said Rotom.
"It's a better drawing then mine." said Jordan.
"Cario." said Meeko.
"Thank you." said Harry, looking back at his drawing. "See, it's my mom's birthday tomorrow. So my dad and I are going to make this yummy birthday cake for her. It's important you're on time tomorrow, 'kay, 'cause we can't make the cake without your farm fresh Moomoo milk."
"You can count on me, Harry." Kiawe tells him. "Have I ever been late before, huh?"
Once they were in the sky again, Kiawe leads Ash and Jordan to his farm. "Wow." said Jordan in awe.
"There's a farm down there. That's where you live?" asked Ash.
"Yeah." said Kiawe.
"Alola." said Pelipper as it landed on Kiawe's farm.
"Thanks a lot Pelipper. Get some rest. Okay." said Ash as Kiawe helps Jordan off of Charizard.
"Pelip." Pelipper replied.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"That's a lot of Pokémon!" said a shocked Jordan.
"Wow. The air is so fresh." said Ash, taking in a deep breath.
"Pika! Lucar!" said Pikachu and Meeko.
"And look, there's a group of Mudbray." said Rotom.
"Huh? Yeah, where?" asked Ash and Jordan, before running over to the group of Mudbray.
"Look at that. They're eating mud." said Ash.
"Mudbray, the Donkey Pokémon. A ground type." said Rotom. "Mudbray are stubborn and independent. Their daily routine includes eating dirt and frolicking in the mud they kick up."
"Yeah?" asked Ash.
"See, dirt is the source of Mudbray's strength." said Kiawe, walking up behind them.
"That's so cool." said Ash. As Mudbray goes for another bite of dirt, some grass tickles its nose, causing it to groan. "What's wrong?"
"Um, Ash….you know how when one of us gets that look for when one of us is about to sneeze?" asked Jordan.
"Yeah?" said Ash.
"Well…..that's Mudbray's look so stand back if I were you." Jordan tells him when Mudbray gags up the dirt it had in its mouth.
"I should've told you." Kiawe said over his shoulder. "But…don't get too close to Mudbray, or you'll get muddy."
"We figured that out." said Ash as he, Pikachu, Jordan and Meeko turned around with mud on their faces. "Ugh, thanks for the tip though." Suddenly a couple of towels landed on the siblings heads. "Clean yourselves up." said a woman laughing.
"Uh, thank you very much." said Ash and Jordan, wiping their faces.
"Ash, Jordan, this is my mom." said Kiawe.
"So, young man, young lady, do you like our Pokémon?" Kiawe's mom, Sima asked. "Don't you think they all look great?"
"They all look fantastic, Miss Sima." said Jordan.
"I'm glad you think so, Jordan." she tells her, giving Jordan a huge smile.
"Our excellent soil and grass play a big part in that." explained Kiawe.
"Excellent soil and grass?" asked Ash as Jordan was confused.
"We have the best grass, thanks to Wela Volcano and Alola's climate." said Sima. "All the Pokémon here who graze on our grass grow up very healthy. The milk they produce is packed with lots of vitamins and nutrients too. Would you like something to eat?"
"Sure do. I want to try some of your famous ice cream." said Ash, causing Jordan to nod.
"Yes please." said Jordan.
"Pika!"
"Lucario!"
"Sure thing." chuckled Sima, then faces the building behind her. "Honey? Can you bring us some ice cream?"
"Whoa, its huge!" exclaimed Ash as Kiawe's dad brought out a couple bowls of ice cream.
"Enjoy." said Kiawe's dad.
"This is my dad." said Kiawe.
"Thank you." said Jordan, as he handed her the bowl.
"Lucario." said Meeko.
"Such a well-mannered young lady and her Pokémon partner." he said, smiling. "Be careful with that."
"Yes, sir. We will." said Jordan as Meeko nodded.
"You might be surprised he's the president of our farm." said Sima.
"Hi, there. Here's the ice cream and my card." said Kiawe's dad.
"Wow, thank you so much." said Ash, taking the ice cream and sighs.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu.
"Your friends seems to loves ice cream so much that he forgets the rest of the world." said Kiawe's dad.
"Jordan is very observant." Kiawe tells his dad. "But that's how Ash is and that's how he'll always be."
"Please forgive my brother and Pikachu." said Jordan, bowing to Kiawe's dad. "This is one of those days where they both have a very short attention span."
"Cario, Lucario." said Meeko, bowing as well.
"He's your brother, huh?" asked an amused Sima.
"Yep and I still love him no matter what crazy things he does." said Jordan.
"And I still love the mouse no matter how pudgy he becomes." said Meeko, pointing to Pikachu.
"I'd be honored to accept your card." said Rotom, cutting in on the moment.
"My name's Rango and it's a pleasure to meet you." said Rango, handing his business card to Rotom.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Rango." said Jordan.
"Let's see." said Rotom, beeping as he reads the card and turns around. "I'd like to take a picture."
"Oh!" said Rango, nervously as Rotom takes his picture.
"Very distinguished." Rotom tells him, giving Rango to relax. Kiawe watches his friends eat the ice cream with gusto when he looks over to see something bad about to happen.
"What….No!" grunted Kiawe.
"What's up?" asked Ash and Jordan as Kiawe takes off. A little girl was carrying an empty milk container when Kiawe snatches it out of her hands. "Watch out!" shouted Kiawe, causing the girl to gasp. "Are you okay, Mimo?"
"Of course, I'm okay. I'm a big girl." Mimo tells him as she stalks over. "I just want to help out."
"No, I'll take care of this, Mimo." said Kiawe. "Leave this to your big brother."
"I can do that by myself." whined Mimo, then turns to Ash and Jordan. "What do you two think? He's being….(whines) He's being overprotective."
"Huh? Uh, I guess you could say that." said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"I think that my own big brother should be like that more often." said Jordan, pointing her thumb to Ash. "But then again, I'm stuck with what I have and not with what I wish for."
"Hey!" said Ash.
"He's your brother?" asked Mimo, curious to know.
"Yep. I can even tell you all kinds of secrets that I have about him." Jordan tells her.
"Jordan….don't you dare." warned Ash, then turns back to Mimo. "Who are you?"
"She's Mimo, my precious little sister." said Kiawe, placing the empty tank over his shoulder. "Be nice to her, okay?"
"Sure thing, Kiawe." said Jordan.
"We promise." said Meeko.
"Thanks, Meeko." said Kiawe.
"Why won't you let me do anything?" Mimo asked her brother before looking back at the siblings, then gasps. "Huh?" Mimo sees Pikachu on Ash's shoulder and Meeko next to Jordan.
"Uh, want some ice cream, Mimo?" asked Ash, offering what he had in his hand.
"(Laughs) That Pikachu and Lucario are so cute." said Mimo.
"Pikachu." replied Pikachu.
"Lucario." said Meeko, reading Mimo's aura before smiling at her and gives out a hug.
"She likes you, Mimo. Her name is Meeko." said Jordan.
"You know, we'd like to help out around here, too." said Ash.
"Yeah, can we help with anything?" asked Jordan.
"We've got to do something after seeing all these cool Pokémon." said Ash with Jordan nodding in agreement.
"Oh really?" asked Sima, popping up behind them and holds out a couple of buckets with Pokémon cleaning supplies. "Here! I'll take you up on your offer." Out in the field, Ash and Jordan were wearing gloves.
"Now, watch closely. We wash Mudbray off once every day just like this." explained Kiawe and demonstrates on a Mudbray. "When you wash them, you need to keep up a constant rhythm. They like it so much; they sometimes fall asleep standing up."
"Mudbray." said Mudbray happily, feeling the rhythm Kiawe was doing.
"Awesome!" said Ash and Jordan.
"Sure looks that way." added Ash.
"You see? Just do what my brother does." said Mimo.
"Got it." said Ash, then kneels down next to the Mudbray near him and Jordan. "I'm going to wash you, so, stand real still just like that. Huh? What do you know? Your fur's kind of hard."
"You're so cute." said Jordan.
"Mudbray." said Mudbray, instantly taking a liking to Jordan and nuzzles her face. Ash then goes to the back of Mudbray to work on its tail.
"Yeah. Looking good, Mudbray." said Ash, stopping as a knot appears in the tail. "Hold on." Ash grunts as he tries to get it untangled.
"Suddenly I'm having a Ponyta flashback." said Jordan, stopping mid-brush on Mudbray's mane.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu, tilting his head.
"Remember that race back in Kanto…..on that ranch." said Jordan.
"And yet….he was kicked off of Ponyta." said Meeko, shaking at the memory.
"Pik, Pikachu." said Pikachu, nodding.
"Yeah, well….this is round two, the Alola edition for Ash." Jordan said to their Pokémon.
"Wait. (Grunts) Huh?" said Ash.
"Ash, you're stopping." said Rotom.
"It's stuck." said Ash, pulling hard on the brush. Once the brush went through, it grabbed some of Mudbray's tail hairs. "Oh no." said Jordan, stepping back.
"Mudbray." groaned Mudbray.
"Ha-ha." said Ash then groans when Mudbray kicks him.
"Oh, that's right. Don't stand right behind Mudbray." said Kiawe as Ash went into the air. "They could kick you."
"Now you tell me!" screamed Ash, getting the Team Rocket blastoff.
"Lesson learned. By the way, Mudbray, good aim when you kicked him." said Jordan, brushing Mudbray's tail from the side. "To be honest, I've never seen my brother be kicked or even be thrown that far in our lives….like ever."
"Wow, that was a strong kick." said Meeko, trying to see how far Mudbray kicked Ash.
"Really?" asked Rotom and Kiawe.
"Yeah. Unless we were giving Team Rocket their usual blast off, last time Ash was thrown in the distance, it was on top of his heard of Tauros." Jordan explained.
"Cario, Lucario." said Meeko, pointing out the distance. Under a tree, Pelipper and a Miltank were sleeping away.
"Mud!" said Mudbray as it was rinsed off.
"Finished! All right!" said Ash.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"But, Ash, you only finished one of them." said Kiawe. "We can't move on to the next chore until we've washed all the others."
"Others?" asked Ash. "Huh?"
"Counting. Counting. There are 60 more!" said Rotom. Ash grunts and groans as he passes out.
"Thanks a lot for passing out on us, Ash." said Jordan, looking at her brother sprawled out on the ground.
"Pikachu?" asked Pikachu.
"Ash?" asked Meeko, poking him in his side before lifting Ash up with her paws and shaking him awake. "ASH! WAKE UP!"
"Pikachu. Pika." said Pikachu, holding a Pokémon size rake with straw on it.
"(Grunts) Why so much?" asked Ash.
"You can never have enough hay." said Kiawe as Mimo and Jordan placed their hay in buckets. "The Pokémon come in the evening and stay here until morning. We have to make sure there's enough food and water so that they can eat as much they want."
Ash then places his portion of hay into a food tray, causing Mimo to smirk. "Still not enough." said Mimo, causing Jordan and Meeko to giggle.
"Yeah." said Kiawe.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu, places his portion in the tray.
"That's great, Pikachu." said Kiawe.
"Amazing." said Mimo as she and Jordan smiled at the mouse.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Argh!" growled Ash, running over to the hay pile and flips a pile of hay over his head.
"You know, Ash, don't be frustrated with Pikachu just because he outdid you a bit." said Jordan, causing her brother to glare at her. As the sun sets in the sky, Pelipper yawns under a tree.
"Milk. Milk. Milk…" said a herd of Miltank, heading to the barn with a Herdier behind them. Turtonator guided the Tauros as they headed back as well.
"We have to make sure they all go back." said Kiawe as he, Ash and Jordan stood on a hill.
"That's it?" asked Ash and Jordan.
"No. We still have to check how everyone's feeling." Kiawe explained. "You can tell by how much water and hay is left over."
"Um….Kiawe?" asked Jordan, seeing the Mudbray from earlier run over to them.
"Huh? That's weird." said Ash. "This Mudbray is the one that kicked me earlier."
"I wonder why it left its herd." questioned Kiawe with a knowing smile.
"Mudbray?" Mudbray asked, looking right at Jordan.
"Are you…." Jordan asked, confused when suddenly Mudbray nuzzled one of Jordan's Pokéballs from her waist and tapped it with its nose. Mudbray goes inside the Pokeball and it shakes until it settles. "I….I….." said Jordan, looking up at Kiawe.
"It's okay." Kiawe tells her. "I noticed earlier that it was following you all day."
"Are you sure about that, Kiawe?" asked Jordan.
"I'm sure. Consider it a gift." he tells her. Jordan smiles, squealed and hugs the fire type trainer, thanking him. At Kiawe's house, Ash, Jordan, Kiawe and his family gathered outside around the table.
"Finally! Dinnertime!" said Ash. "Yeah! It's time to eat."
"Not quite." said Kiawe, stopping Ash.
"Huh?" he said.
"First, we thank Wela Volcano for the food we're about to eat." Sima explained.
"I didn't know." said Ash.
"Of course you didn't." mumbled Jordan.
"We thank it for watching over us today, as always. All together now." said Sima and everyone bows their heads towards the volcano. After dinner, Ash and Jordan got ready for bed.
"I'm bushed!" said Ash, laying down on one of the beds.
"Pika." said Pikachu, laying down on the other bed with Jordan and Meeko.
"Aren't you and Jordan going to battle?" asked Rotom.
"I'm so wiped out; I can hardly move." said Ash. "And if you take a look at Jordan….."
"Sleepy…." mumbled Jordan, stretching a bit.
"Once in a while, she'll talk to herself for a bit before really falling asleep." Ash explained, then hears a soft snore coming from his sister. "There she goes. Huh?" Ash looks out the window and see light of a flamethrower through the window. As he gets closer to the window, Ash see Kiawe with Turtonator and Charizard.
"Kiawe?" asked Ash.
"Excellent work, Turtonator." said Kiawe then hears Ash and Pikachu walk out. "Huh? Did we wake you and Jordan up?"
"Jordan's down for the count. What are you doing, Kiawe?" asked Ash.
"During the day is when I help out on the farm, but at night I train with my Pokémon." said Kiawe, then he and Turtonator each punches the air. "Turtonator and I are getting a good work out! My Z-Ring and my Pokémon, they're why I do this every day."
Ash gasps as he hears this. "See this Z-Ring? It belonged to my grandpa." said Kiawe, looking down at his wrist.
"Uh, so, your grandpa was an island kahuna, right?" asked Ash.
"Back in the day, Charizard was his partner." said Kiawe, looking at Charizard, who then growled. "Turtonator and I challenge, Olivia, the island kahuna. We participate in the grand trial so I'd inherit my grandpa's Z-Ring. We passed and I've had the ring ever since. When I was a kid, my grandpa used to say this to me all the time…"
[Flashback]
At the bottom of Wela Volcano, Young Kiawe was sitting next to his grandpa on a log with Charizard.
"It's the fire that allows us to live." Kiawe's grandpa tells him. "Fire can be something to fear. At times, it can burn everything in its path, causing great destruction, but it can also become a beacon for humanity, which is what civilizes the world."
Kiawe stands up as he looks out into the night sky. "Kiawe." said his grandfather, turning him around. "Rather than use the fire that can destroy life, become a fire type trainer, nurturing life, like the fire from Wela Volcano."
[Flashback ends]
"And so, for my grandpa and me, I want to master the fire type Z-move. Then I'll become the fire of Alola." said Kiawe. "And that's that. Well, then, its late and I'm tired."
"Kiawe, Jordan and I can use Z-Moves now, too." said Ash, getting off the rock he was sitting on. "Come on. Let's have a battle now."
"But I thought you were tired." said Kiawe. "And we've got to get up early. We need to make that delivery to Harry's house first thing."
"UH!" said Ash. "I hope I can get up."
"Pika…" said Pikachu, yawning. Early the next morning, Ash and Jordan was helping Mimo and Kiawe. "We've got to hurry, you two." said Kiawe, loading the two milk containers into the harnesses.
"Right!" said Ash as he carries a box container. Kiawe starts to scream when he sees Mimo pushing a cart. "Mimo, that's dangerous!" said Kiawe. "What if you were to drop this on your foot?"
"Come on. I'll do it!" said Mimo as Kiawe lifts up a milk jug.
"No way!" said Kiawe, setting it down on Pikachu's tail.
"Pika!" screamed Pikachu, sending a thunderbolt.
"Pelipper." said Pelipper, rubbing its head.
"I know, right?" asked Jordan, then hangs her head. "I knew I should've said something."
"Lucario." said Meeko, patting her shoulder.
"Pelipper, I'm counting on you today." said Ash, getting onto Pelipper's back.
"Pelip." replied Pelipper.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Safe travels on your journey." said Rango.
"Say hi to Harry's dad." said Sima.
"Be safe, like you tell me to do!" said Mimo.
"All right." said an embarrassed Kiawe, before turning to Ash. "Okay, let's get a move on."
"Okay." said Ash.
"Ready!" said Jordan.
"Lucario!" said Meeko.
"Ah! This view is so awesome, Kiawe." said Ash, once they were in the sky.
"It's like you're getting energy from the sun, right?" said Kiawe. The wind blew the volcanic smoke in Ash's face, causing him and Pelipper to grunt and cough. "Pika!" shrieked Pikachu.
"What is that?" asked Ash.
"Descend, quick." said Kiawe, with Jordan using her shirt to help her breathe. "We got to get out of this, or we won't be able to breathe."
"Pelipper, fly down." said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu as Pelipper closes its mouth and flies down.
"Man, that was weird. Are we late?" asked Ash.
"Nah, we'll be just fine." Kiawe tells him. Standing outside of his house, Harry looks at the skies, searching for Kiawe when his dad opens the door. "We've still got 30 minutes till their scheduled delivery." said his dad.
"But Kiawe might come early." replied Harry. Out of nowhere, a poison attack was shot at Pelipper, hitting its wing. "Ash!" shouted Jordan.
"Lucario!" Meeko called out.
"Pika!" screamed Pikachu as Pelipper stumbles in the air.
"Pelipper, what's the matter?" Ash asked Pelipper.
"Pika!" Just then, Pelipper crashes into the ground and accidentally throws Ash out of his seat. "Oh, no, Ash!" shouted Kiawe.
"Ashy, are you okay?" asked Jordan.
"I'm fine." he tells her as he runs over to Pelipper. "Pelipper, you okay?"
"Pelipper!" moaned Pelipper, raising its wing to Ash.
"Oh no." said Jordan as she and Meeko rushed over to Pelipper and Ash.
"That was a dragon rage move." said Rotom.
"It's hurt." said Kiawe, bringing a first aid kit.
"I'll treat it. You head to Harry's house." said Ash.
"Meeko and I will stay here with you." said Jordan as Meeko nodded.
"Lucar." said Meeko.
"But, Ash…Jordan…" said Kiawe.
"Found you!" shouted Skull Blue.
"Huh?" The trio turns around to see Team Skull.
"Huh? Hey, I know you guys." said Ash.
"Team Skull makes crybabies cry harder." said Blue.
"This is payback for the last time, you Z-Move jerk." said Black.
"This time you'll be crying." said Pink.
"I don't know who is weirder…." said Jordan. "them or Team Rocket."
"My vote is Team Rocket." said Ash.
"Pika, Pika." said Pikachu.
"Cario." said Meeko.
"Good point, you guys." said Jordan.
"Stop." said Kiawe. "We don't have time to deal with you! Get out of here!"
"Never!" shouted Black. "If you want to get through, leave all your stuff with us."
"We're not going to give you anything!" said Ash.
"Oh, you think you're so cool!" Blue said sarcastically. "We're not talking to you. Know what? I hate Z-Moves more than anything."
Harry sighs as there was no sign of Kiawe, Ash and Jordan. "All right, you guys, get em'." said Blue.
"Oh yeah. Use Venoshock!" they shouted.
"Look out!" shouted Ash as he, Kiawe and Jordan dodged the attack, which caused a strap on Charizard's harness to snap.
"Kiawe!" shouted Ash and Jordan.
"It's all right. The belt just snapped." said Kiawe.
"Listen, you said you hate Z-Moves, right?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, so what?" asked Blue.
"Check this out!" said Ash as he and Jordan reveal their Z-Crystals to Team Skull, who then gasped.
"A Z-Ring." said Black.
"Oh, yeah!" shouted Ash.
"Let's go, Ash!" shouted Jordan as they both started their Z-Moves.
"Go, Pikachu!"
"Go, Meeko!"
"Pika! Cario!"
"Here we go! Full Power now!" shouted Ash and Jordan.
"Pika! Pika!"
"Lucario!"
"Use Gigavolt Havok!" shouted Ash.
"Pika! Pika!" shouted Pikachu, releasing a ball of electricity from his hand .
"Meeko, use All-Out Pummeling!" shouted Jordan.
"Lucario!" screamed Meeko, creating halos of her hands as she punches the air, sending them towards Salandit. Soon enough, Pikachu's Gigavolt Havoc and Meeko's All-Out Pummeling hits them, knocking them back onto their bikes.
"We won't forget this." said Blue.
"The jerks uses Z-Moves, too." said Black.
"We'll get even with you next time." said Pink as she and the others returned their Pokémon.
"Sure…We'll believe it when we see it!" Jordan called out after them.
"Let's hurry! Pelipper needs to get back to the Pokémon center." said Ash.
"Ash, Jordan, that was great." said Kiawe.
"Thanks." said Jordan and Ash. Outside of his house, Harry continues to look for Kiawe as his dad comes out onto the porch. "Anything, Harry?" asked his dad, then looks up. "Huh?"
"Yeah! There they are!" shouted Harry, see Kiawe, Ash and Jordan.
"Here you go!" said Kiawe as he hands Harry a bottle of Moomoo Milk. "Sorry I was a little bit late."
"I was scared you weren't coming." Harry tells him.
"We got caught in traffic." explained Kiawe.
"In the sky?" asked Harry.
"He's right. Just a little jam." said Ash.
"But it was nothing we couldn't handle." said Jordan.
"Mm. Since you were late, could you do a little favor for me?" Harry asked the boys.
"Favor? What is it?" asked Kiawe.
"Would you two have a battle?"
"Huh?" said Ash.
"I want to see you guys battle after we have cake." said Harry.
"Jordan and I did come along because I wanted to have a battle with you." said Ash.
"Yep. It's true." said Jordan.
"Just remember, I won't go easy." said Kiawe. Finally the birthday party was underway and Harry presented his mom with the cake. Out in the yard, Kiawe and Ash started their battle.
Narrator: Kiawe and his Z-Ring. Ash and Jordan have picked up a few more fascinating facts about their classmate, as our heroes' Alola journey continues. Uh, by the way, where's Team Rocket?
Jordan: I think they're still with Bewear.
"I don't care if I'm being cuddled. I'm still bored." said Jessie.
"Could be worse." said James.
"Maybe we should get back to work." said Meowth. "Nah."
"Wobbuffet." said Wobbuffet.
Jordan, popping up: Yep, they're still with Bewear.
Meeko: Lucar, Lucario.
Jordan: Is it too late to start feeling bad for them?
