A/N Hey guys! It's been some years but I got a new story for you. The beginning takes place while Will was still in high school. I've had this sitting on my pc since before I even finished New Girl. I've got the first 5-6 chapters ready, think it might be like 8 chapters so enjoy while it lasts. Hope you enjoy
Alicia was walking down the hall on her way to glee practice, she was really looking forward to it. She'd met Will last week and he had persuaded her to join. She'd done some research first, secretly watched a rehearsal. Will was great, he was a great singer and he was pretty damn sexy.
"Alicia! You made it." Will said excited. "I'm so glad."
"Thanks Will, I just couldn't resist."
Ms Addler walked in. "I've heard we have a new member." She smiled at Alicia. "Will has told me you're not in need of an audition, but I'm going to ask you to sing a song for us anyway. Just in case."
Alicia smiled and nodded. "Of course."
"The band is ready when you are."
"Black or White, please."
…
"Will wasn't exaggerating, you're in." Alicia smiled. "Take a seat."
Alicia took the free seat next to Will. "Thank you, for convincing me."
"No thank you, for joining us. We want to win Nationals this year. Do you want to do a song together for the next rehearsal?"
"Yeah, that would be great."
"How about you come over to my place after school? My parents won't mind."
"Sure, where do you live?"
He wrote down his address and handed her a note. "Here."
…
Three weeks had passed, Alicia was crushing hard on Will but she'd found out the day after she joined glee that he had a girlfriend. Head cheerleader Terri Del Monico, she'd only met her once or twice but Terri seemed to make it very clear that Will was hers. Alicia didn't like her, the way she treated everyone who wasn't popular and the way she treated Will.
"Hey." She was pulled out of her train of thought by Will. "Why don't you come and have lunch with me? We need to discuss some glee business." He said as he steered her towards the cafeteria.
"Terri?"
"Don't worry about Terri, she doesn't bite." He smiled. Clearly that's where they thought differently. "Come." He pointed towards the table the cheerleaders and entourage usually sat at.
"Fine."
"You brought her?" It was Terri.
Will sat down next to her. "She's my friend, and we've got glee business to discuss. " He wanted to give her a quick kiss but Terri pulled him in for a full on tongue bath. Alicia shook her head and took a bite from her lunch. "Oh crap." Will said. "I forgot my notebook in my locker, I'll be right back." He got up, leaving Alicia at the table with the popular kids.
"Don't get anything into you head. Janet Jackson. You don't belong at this table, and you won't be sitting here that often."
"If you wanted to insult me you should pick someone other then a popular, money making singer and don't worry, I don't even want to sit with you."
"Then why did you?"
She tilted her head. "Because Will asked me to."
"About Will, he's not interested in you. He has me, the head cheerleader. You're not going to be a problem, are you?"
"No, he's just my friend." She saw Will approach them. "Did you find it?"
He held up his notebook. "Yep, just wanted to discuss this with you." He said as he opened his notebook.
…
Most of the school year had passed, Will and Alicia had become best friends, much to Terri's dismay. They started spending a lot of time together, even with Terri sometimes. Will had told her that he wasn't interested in Alicia like that but that she is his best friend and that Terri just had to deal with that. Terri didn't want to lose him, so she decided to keep a close eye on Alicia. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, right? But she could see that Alicia had a crush on Will, everyone in glee knew except for Will. They were the lead singers, Terri could see it anytime they had to sing a duet. She had to do something about that, it was only another month before the three of them graduated, then they would be safe. Wait, just another month? Terri checked her calendar. "Fuck."
…
Will hadn't shown up for the last glee meeting, they'd already won nationals but the year wasn't over yet. Alicia got worried and went by his house on the way home. His mother let her in and told her he was in his room. "Will?" She asked as she knocked.
She heard some stumbling inside before he unlocked the door and let her in. "Ally.." he said, he'd obviously been crying.
Alicia quickly stepped inside. "Will, what's wrong?" She closed the door and Will hugged her when she turned back around, he started crying again. "It's going to be okay Will, whatever it is."
"You're my best friend, I can talk to you about anything, right?" Alicia nodded. "You can't tell anyone, I swear to god Ally.."
"Hey, trust me. I won't tell anyone." She softly pushed him towards the bed. "What's wrong?" She made him sit down and sat down next to him.
"My parents don't know.. I don't know how to.."
She took his hand. "Calm down, Will. Just tell me, whatever it is."
"Terri is late. Her period, she's late. She thinks she's pregnant." He looked at the stunned look on Alicia's face. "Oh Ally what the fuck am I supposed to do now? I'm not ready to be a dad yet!"
Alicia didn't have words, no words at all. She was silent for a couple of seconds before letting out a deep breath. "You don't know for certain yet?" He shook his head. "Then there is still a chance she isn't." She squeezed his hand. "She can be late for other reasons Will."
"Can she?" Will said hopeful.
Alicia nodded. "It can be stress, we're all under a lot of stress right now. Is there even a chance she's pregnant? Is it possible?"
"I.. yes it's possible. We've had sex, you know that."
Alicia remembered Will asking her for advice on that subject, she hated it but being the good friend she is she gave him the advice. "I know, but you told me you would never ever take the risk of having sex without a condom, right?"
"No! We used protection, it wasn't out of date or anything and it was even an expensive brand."
"Well that's good news, makes the chance of it being stress only bigger, right?"
Will nodded. "Yeah I guess.. she told me and I just.. ran.."
"You… ran…?" Alicia asked surprised, sure she hated Terri but she didn't even wish her that.
"I didn't know what to say, what to do, how to react.. I told her that we would figure it out together but that I had to go and I.. left.."
"Well, give her a call Will, or better yet stop by. She must be freaking out." She got up. "Come, I'll drive you there I don't think you should be driving right now."
"Could you come with me to talk to her?" Alicia shook her head. "Please? I don't know what to say.."
She shook her head again. "I don't think that's a good idea Will, but I'll be there whenever you need me to talk. To you, not Terri."
…
It was the day of graduation, two weeks later, Will ran up to Alicia. "She isn't pregnant!" He told her excited. "You were right it was stress." He hugged her. "Oh god Ally I'm so happy."
"See, I told you! So you're going to NYU next year right?" Will nodded. "We'll keep in touch."
He hugged her again. "I'm going to miss you so much, I wish you all the best in LA, I'm sure you'll make it someday."
…
15 years later
"Alicia?" Her assistant got her attention as she knocked.
Alicia looked up. "What's up Kimmy?" She smiled at her, still out of breath from the last dance routine.
"Your agent sent this over, it was mixed in with the fan mail." She handed her an envelope. "McKinley High, isn't that your high school?"
Alicia nodded. "It is." She opened the envelope and saw an invitation for a 15-year reunion. "Kimmy, what do I have planned for 12th through the 18th of June?"
Kimmy grabbed a phone and checked the calendar. "Uuh three interviews, 2 rehearsals and a meeting to finish scheduling your summer tour."
"Cancel it all. I'm going to my high school reunion."
Kimmy looked up, she'd never had to cancel this much before. "All of it? All those days?"
Alicia nodded and smiled. "Yep and when is my tour supposed to start?"
"July 10th."
"Okay. Anything in between planned?"
Kimmy scrolled through the appointments. "Lots.."
"Anything important?"
"Lots.."
Alicia smiled. "Anything important that isn't a media interview of some sort."
"A little less but still lots."
Alicia nodded. "Okay, thanks. Just the 12th through the 18th then, for now. Oh, and you can schedule yourself off for those days as well, but please be reachable in case of emergency." Kimmy nodded and put it all in the phone. She sighed, she'd have to call Jimmy Kimmel's people to reschedule the interview, they didn't like it when that happened. "Thanks Kimmy, I don't know what I'd do without you."
"You're welcome, now your next appointment for the day is at 3, meeting at your label's."
Alicia nodded and got up. "I'm just going to take a quick shower in the locker-room and then you can drag me off to that." She smiled at Kimmy.
Kimmy had been hired when she just started getting busy and she forgot an interview. Her publicist and agent had told her it was now time for a PA. So she and Kimmy had been a team for the past 8 years, they became a sort of friends since neither had much of a life besides their career. Kimmy took pride in her job, she always gave 200% and kept things running smooth. Every now and then she had to drag Alicia places she didn't want to go, like any kind of meeting. Kimmy scrolled through the contacts to cancel the meetings in the week she'd just taken off, Kimmy was still confused about that. She hadn't had more then one day in a row off in the last 8 years, and now she took almost an entire week for a high school reunion.
