Prologue: Pause, Exit Game
They say to truly live you must experience and that in death is your greatest moment of self-reflection
I am Neptune the CPU of Planeptune and I can say that these things happen.
During a battle with an Ancient Dragon I got cocky and made a bone headed mistake which put me in a near death state, in that state I reflected on my past and I saw nothing but a life wasted, someone who should not be a CPU.
At that point I promised that if I survived I would give up being a CPU and go on a journey to improve so that one day I may return and be a true CPU.
I did survive and that night I went to the Oracle of Planeptune Histoire and told her what I was going to do.
"YOU WANT TO DO WHAT!?" she exclaimed shocked by what I said
"I want to stop being a CPU."
"Why?" she asked
"I did some thinking and I realized I am not qualified to be a CPU so I wanted to go on a journey so one day I can come back to be a actual CPU." I said a determined look on my face
"Neptune…" Histoire began but I stopped her before she could say what I knew she was going to say
"Histy I am doing this with or without your permission I just wanted to let you know." I said
"And Nepgear?"
"I think it would be better for you to explain to her."
Histoire closed her eyes processing the information before opening them again "Very well it seems your mind is made up, I…" She trailed off
"Histy?" I asked seeing the fairies eyes start to tear up
"… I am sorry I failed you Neptune." She said the tears threatening to come
"No I'm sorry I failed both you and Nepgear that's why I can't tell her I couldn't look her in the eye and say I failed as both the CPU of her nation and as her older sister." I said my voice cracking as I struggled to hold back my tear.
"Then there is only one thing left to do before you leave." Said Histoire
"Yes there is."
I and Histoire moved to the room holding the Sharicite the source of the CPU's Power and a physical manifestation of the nation's faith in the CPU.
Taking it in my hand I look at it taking its appearance in one last time before I throw it on the floor watching it smash as though it was made of glass.
Turning to Histoire I move and give her a hug and say "Goodbye Histy and thank you for everything."
Histoire's tears finally fell as she gave her goodbye "Goodbye Neptune may we one day meet again."
I turned and left and not only did I leave Planeptune I left Gamindustri knowing I could never truly change unless I started life over somewhere new going on a boat I left to the continent on the other side of the ocean a land I knew nothing about on that boat I turned back to Gamindustri and gave my goodbye's to my home.
"Goodbye Nepgear, Noire, Blanc, Vert, Uni, Rom, Ram, Uzume, Umio, Older Me, Plutia, Peashy, IF, Compa…" I pause talking one breath "And goodbye Gamindustri." I finally let my tears fall.
Hey Psycho her and this was the prologue to a new story I am hoping to start I know a bit shorter than what I usually do but I didn't want to ruin how the story should be.
