Fathoms Below
Note #1: I saw the Little Mermaid remake, and it was awesome! The Little Mermaid will always be my favorite Disney movie.
*Our story begins on a foggy morning out on the open sea. Three seagulls flew down from the clouds & towards the water. A pod of dolphins was happily jumping over the waves. They then stopped to chat & the seagulls landed in between them. Suddenly, a ship came out of the fog towards them. They all got out of the way as it crashed through the waves. They then watched it sail away. On board, the sailors were either hauling in a net full of fish or doing other chores around the ship*
*Sailors singing*
I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue
And it's hey to the starboard
Heave-ho
Look out lad
A mermaid be waiting for you
In mysterious fathoms below
*Up on the quarterdeck, a brown female chipmunk with short dark auburn hair, blue eyes, a light brown muzzle & torso, a dark auburn stripe down her back wearing a white, long-sleeved collared shirt, a teal blue skirt that went to her knees, a red sash, & black boots was holding on to a rope & enjoying the ocean breeze. Next to her was a yellow dog with blue eyes & brown patches on his head & back, & wearing a red collar*
Sally: Isn't this great? The salty sea air. The wind blowing in your face. *The dog barked. then they turned to a brown elderly male owl with eyes & a yellow beak & feet wearing a black suit jacket, white shirt, & a white cravat, who had his head over the railing* Ah, perfect day to be at sea.
*The owl lifted his head to show that his entire face was green from seasickness*
Harvey Who: Oh yes . . . Delightful . . .
*He lurched & threw up over the side. Sally giggled at him & turned back to the view. She then went to help a large, green-skinned crocodile with spiky red scales down his tail with goldenrod eyes wearing a sailor uniform with the ship's rigging*
Vector: A fine strong wind and a following sea. Queen Aleena must be in a friendly type mood.
Sally: Queen Aleena?
Vector: Why ruler of the mer-people, lass. Thought every good sailor knew about her.
*Sailors singing*
I'll sing you a song of the Queen of the sea

In mysterious fathoms below
*Harvey, who was over his seasickness, came over to them, holdings a cane in his left hand & rubbing his head*
Harvey Who: Hmph. Mer-people. Sally, pay no attention to this nautical nonsense.
*Sally just rolled her eyes & started playing with her dog*
Vector: But it ain't nonsense, it's the truth. There's a whole world of merpeople under the sea.
*Harvey just rolled his eyes. A green male hawk with dark emerald green feathers covering his body and white feathers on his front torso, azure blue eyes, & a golden beak & a albatross of hulking physique with grey & white feathers, light blue eyes with red and black markings around them, & a golden beak both wearing the same uniform came up to him on both sides*
Jet: Queen Aleena's their ruler.
Storm: She has seven fine sons.
*A purple male walrus with green eyes, peach skin, & wearing the same uniform spoke next*
Rotor: And a devil of a brother named Zero.
Sally: Zero?
Rotor: Evil, mad, and hungry for power. Queen Aleena, she banished him off into exile. And there he lives now, just biding his time. Especially tonight.
Sally: Why? What's so special about tonight?
Rotor: Tonight is the Coral Moon. Once a year, when the moon glows the color of coral, Queen Aleena calls her sons from each of the sevens seas, for a gathering under the light.
Sally: Wow! I had no idea such a phenomenon happened on my birthday.
Rotor: Yes. But beware. For Zero may be plotting a scheme as we speak.
*Rotor singing*
Fathoms below in the ocean
Lives Zero, wizard of the sea
He plots and he schemes and he wickedly dreams
Of the day when he'll return once more
*Sailors singing*
Return to rule the ocean floor
He wants to be King of the bottomless blue
So Aleena beware there's a big 'uns a-brewin'
In mysterious fathoms below
*Harvey then tripped backwards & fell into a barrel of fish. One of the fish went overboard & landed on the ocean. The fish looked back up at the ship & then sighed in relief. It then swam down deeper into the water, passing through seaweed & by coral reefs. It went past schools of angelfish, jellyfish, & whales. Just then, mer-people appeared. They looked like regular Mobians, but they had fish tails instead of legs & feet. There were many different species. Dogs, wolfs, cats, rabbits, etc. And they all came in different sizes. They were all swimming together through the water, going to the same place. An undersea palace made of shimmering golden coral. Mer-people were playing, dancing, making music. Suddenly, a conch shell sounded, making everyone, mostly the females, stop what they were doing & swim towards the entrance to the city. Then, one by one, six mermen, each riding a giant seahorse & surrounded by an army of mermen dressed in armor, came into the Kingdom, making the merpeople cheer. Sea flowers rained down on them. The first one to arrive was a black male hedgehog with red stripes, red eyes, tan skin, & a red tail (look up "Shadow in Merhog form" by "LiyuConberma" on DeviantArt). The next to arrive was a silver male hedgehog with gold eyes, peach skin, & a light blue tail (look up "Silver in Merhog Form" by "LiyuConberma" on "DeviantArt"). Next was a black male hedgehog with yellow stripes, green eyes, peach skin & a black tail. Next was a black male armadillo with blue eyes, peach skin, & a dark red tail. Next was a brown male coyote with blonde hair, sky blue eyes, a pale yellow muzzle & an dark orange tail. Finally was a yellow male mongoose with black hair, dark blue eyes, & a green tail. They all waved at the cheering crowd as the parade entered the palace. The Princes left their seahorses at the stables & swam into the castle. Then they entered the throne room ("Atlantica/Gallery" on "Disney Wiki") & stood in front of the throne. A red male crab with purple eyes came out from behind the throne*
Knuckles: Announcing, her Royal Highness, Queen Aleena!
*Two merman soldiers created a saber arch with their spears & a purple female hedgehog with peach skin, purple quills with dark purple tips, green eyes, a white tail with a yellow fin & wearing a gold crown & a white seashell bikini top, (look up "Mermay Day 1: Angelic" by "JWeasel-97" on "DeviantArt") & holding a trident (look up "COMM - Nikoleta" by "CentaurWorks" on DeviantArt) swam into the room & sat on the throne*
Queen Aleena: My sons. My treasures of the seven seas. It is so good to see all of you again. And I welcome news from all of your waters. *she looked at each of her sons, one by one* Shadow, Silver, Shard, Mighty, Antoine, Ash, and . . . *she noticed someone was missing* Where's Sonic? *she turned to the lobster, who was trying to sneak away* Knuckles. *the crab stopped, flinched & turned to face the Queen* You were supposed to make sure Sonic was here.
Knuckles: I - I tried Your Majesty. But that boy is impossible. I reminded him about the gathering just this morning. But what more can one crustacean do?
*The Queen gave him a stern look*
Queen Aleena: You can go find him.
Knuckles: Yes, Your Majesty. Right away.
*As he was leaving, the older Princes all sighed & rolled their eyes*
Shadow: I can see our little brother still hasn't grown up.
Razor: And I don't think he ever will.
*Ash, Shard, & Antoine all nodded while Silver just looked worried*
Knuckles: Yes, Your Majesty. Right away, Your Majesty. Telling me to find thar boy. If I'm lucky I only have to search one ocean. *he looked out at the horizon* Where are you, boy?
