Fathoms Below

Note: The Little Mermaid is my all time favorite Disney movie!

*Our story begins on a foggy morning out on the open sea. Three seagulls flew down from the clouds & towards the water. A pod of dolphins was happily jumping over the waves. They then stopped to chat & the seagulls landed in between them. Suddenly, a ship came out of the fog towards them. They all got out of the way as it crashed through the waves. They then watched it sail away. On board, the sailors were either hauling in a net full of fish or doing other chores around the ship*

*Sailors singing*

I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue

And it's hey to the starboard, heave-ho

Look out, lad, a mermaid be waiting for you

In mysterious fathoms below

*Up on the quarterdeck, a black male hedgehog with red eyes, red stripes on his quills, arms, & legs, tan skin, & wearing a (look up "Prince Shadow - Cosium Outfits - Casual Outfit by "LiyuConberma" on "DeviantArt") was holding on to a rope & enjoying the ocean breeze. Next to him was a blonde female dog with blue eyes*

Shadow: Ah, isn't this great? The salty sea air, the wind blowing in your face. *the dog next to him barked. he then turned to a brown elderly male owl with eyes & a yellow beak & feet wearing a black suit jacket, white shirt, & a white cravat whose head is over the railing* Ah, perfect day to be at sea.

*The owl then lifted his head to show that his entire face was green from seasickness*

Harvey Who: Oh yes . . . Delightful . . .

*He lurched & threw up over the side. Shadow then went to help a large, green-skinned crocodile with spiky red scales down his tail with goldenrod eyes wearing a sailor uniform with the ship's rigging*

Vector: A fine, strong wind and a following sea! King Robert must be in a friendly-type mood!

Shadow: King Robert?

*He turned to an albatross of hulking physique with grey & white feathers, light blue eyes with red and black markings around them, & a golden beak wearing the same uniform, who was taking the fish that were just caught out of the net*

Storm: Why ruler of the Mer-people, lad. Thought every good sailor knew about him.

*Harvey, who was over his seasickness, came over to them, holdings a cane in his left hand & rubbing his head*

Harvey Who: Hmph. Mer-people. Shadow, pay no attention to this nautical nonsense.

*Shadow just rolled his eyes & started playing with his dog. Storm then angrily came over to Harvey, waving a fish in his face*

Storm: But it ain't nonsense, it's the truth. I'm tellin' you, down in the depth of the ocean they live!

*Suddenly, the fish slipped out of his grip & slapped Harvey in the face with it's tail before falling into the water*

*Sailors singing*

In mysterious fathoms below

*The fish looked back up at the ship and then sighed in relief. It then swam down deeper into the water, passing through seaweed & by coral reefs. It went past schools of angelfish, jellyfish, & whales. Just then, Mer-people appeared. They looked like regular Mobians, but they had fish tails instead of legs & feet. There were many different species. Dogs, wolfs, cats, rabbits, etc. They were all swimming together through the water, going to the same place. An undersea palace made of shimmering golden coral. They all went inside the palace & sat in a beautiful concert hall. Several Trumpetfish made a trumpeting sound from their noses as a black & yellow striped male bee with, golden eyes, & a black & yellow striped fish tail wearing a black helmet, goggles, & an Elizabethan collar around his neck came out. He then cleared his throat*

Charmy: His Royal Highness, King Robert! *A yellow male cat with blue eyes, peach skin, a navy blue fish tail, holding a three pronged trident, & wearing a gold crown, riding a giant clam shell chariot pulled by dolphins, came into hall. the trident then began to glow as the King made his way towards the chandelier. he then lit the chandelier, making the audience cheer* And presenting the distinguished Court Composer! Horatio Thelonious Ignatius Crustaceous Geoffrey!

*A black & white male crab with blue eyes & peach skin came into the room in a chariot pulled by goldfish. Just then, the goldfish went crazy. He tried to regain control as he steered his chariot next to the King*

King Robert: I'm really looking forward to this performance, Geoffrey.

Geoffrey:*chuckling* Your Majesty. This will be the finest concert I have ever conducted! *the King then let go of the dolphins as his chariot landed in a balcony* Your daughters, they will be spectacular!

*Suddenly, the goldfish pulled, making him go upsidedown as he tried hold on to them*

King Robert: Yes. And especially my little Abigail.

*Geoffrey was able to get his chariot right side up again as he climbed back in*

Geoffrey: Yes! Yes. *he snapped the reins & started heading towards the stage* She has the most beautiful voice. *when he was out of earshot, he frowned**muttering* If only she'd show up for rehearsals once in a while.

*The lights dimmed & a spotlight shone on him as made it to the conductor's stand. He then let go of the goldfish & took a music sheet out of his chariot. Then he took out his conductor's wand & tapped it. As he conducted the music, curtains made of bubbles parted & three clam shells rose from the stage floor. The shells then opened, revealing two mermaid girls per shell*

*Blaze, Tikal, Nicole, Sally, Bunnie, & Mina singing*

Oh, we are the daughters of Robert

Great father who loves us and named us well

Sally

Mina

*The shell opened, but there was no one inside. Everyone gasped in shock & surprise. Geoffrey then turned to the King nervously, who fuming with rage*
