Naruto awoke with a grown. He felt like he had just been hit by a meteor and then run over by an army of shinobi. He opened his eyes slowly and took a look around his surroundings. There was the cursed sun, he was in a forest he didn't recognize, and he felt off. Slowly he stood up and looked around, only to find the ground seemed closer than it should have been. He looked at the trees, the sun, and the rocks that surrounded him once again. What was going on? He would never know if he didn't move, so that's what he did. He picked a random direction and started walking; slipping every once and a while from his dazed state.

After a lifetime of walking he came across a river that glistened in the fading sunlight and he crouched down to get a drink before seeing his reflection.. There was a little blond boy staring at him. The boy couldn't have been older than four years old. He looked exactly like him. His brain caught up to everything that had happened since he had awoken and he reeled back. How had he de-aged? How did he end up in the middle of the forest? What was happening? Naruto took deep breaths to get his mind out of the panic and working once again.

The last thing that happened was that he was fighting Madara with Sasuke. Everyone else had died or disappeared leaving only them to fight off and defeat this threat to their lives, but lately the fight had felt hollow. They had lost their home, everyone they had ever cared about, many peers, and even more fellow fighters. What was there to fight for? Why stop Madara? There was no point and no way. Naruto had started to feel helpless, but that feeling was nothing compared to feeling when he had lost Sasuke. As the only other Kohana shinobi left and his only friend left. His death put the final nail in his coffin. He didn't care anymore. He just wanted to join his friends in eternal rest. Meet his parents, see the perv again, granny, all his friends, Iruka, Kashi, all of them were waiting for him on the other side.

After that final loss he didn't even bother showing up to strategy meetings. Everyone was going to die anyway, why prolong the inevitable. Madara had done something no one had ever been able to do; beat Naruto down and keep him there. It wasn't until one of the last remaining shinobi had come up to him to try and get him back into the fighting that he had even considered joining the fighting once again.

"Naruto, we need you. We aren't strong enough to try and stand against him without you." The shinobi had said. He was a young man with darker toned skin and his hair up in a wolf's tail. He had a water affinity, but chose to fight with his sword more than anything else. He also had a strategic mind that rivaled Shikamaru's.

"Then give up. No use in trying to prolong the inevitable."

"No. I can't. How can you just give up?"

"I have nothing left to give except my life. This war has already taken my home, my friends, my family, my will, and my hope. What more do you want from me?" He had yelled at the young man that stood besides him. He was tired. He wanted to see his loved ones again.

"We fight for their lives." The young man had said. "Failure only counts as failure if you stop trying. If you stop moving forward." He paused. "And I, for one, would like to honor my friends' sacrifices to the cause they thought was important enough to die for." Naruto had looked up at him. "I know you are in pain, I know you are tired, and I know I could never understand that pain or wariness, but your loved ones believed in your ability to win so strongly that they sacrificed themselves to let you live another day; hoping that day would be the day you ended the monster that caused all of this." With that the man walked away and to the group that had been discussing the next strategy to hit Madara with.

Naruto pondered for his words before getting up and heading over to the group. They all looked up as he got close and he gave them the best smile he could conger up with the situation they were in while rubbing the back of his head. "Am I still allowed in these meetings so I know where I need to fight?" He was met with a return of smiles and quick hugs and thanks. Naruto looked over one man's shoulder and he gave him a tight hug and spotted the man who had convinced him to continue the fight. He mouthed him a thank you and got a small nod and thumbs up in return.

A few months later the last few shinobi in the world were getting ready for their final charge against Madara. They had few in numbers, but there was a buzz in the air. Either they would defeat Madara and win or they would lose and see their loved ones again. Either way it was a win for them. The man who had spoken to Naruto that day on the cliff walked to the front of the small army and raised his hand in silence.

"We have been fighting too long against this monster to quit now, but this will be the final day of fighting. Either he dies or we do." a member went through the crowd. "Madara believes he has everything to gain from defeating us, but there is only one thing more dangerous than someone who has everything to gain." He paused, "someone who had nothing to lose. We have already lost our home, family, and friends. We are the last of breed and we will not go down without a fight or some blood to take to our loved ones, whom he has taken from us." The murmurs had turned into talk and shouts of agreement. "This is the final day of this war and either way this goes we win and he can hold a thing over us, because we have fought harder and longer than he ever will and that makes us strong. So let's end this!" The man finished with a yell and a cheer of support, that Naruto joined, followed. No matter what way this final battle went they were going to win.

As the hours of the battle dragged on more and more men fell. Leaving the hell of the living world to join their families in a better place. Soon enough only a handful of shinobi remained on the battlefield, then a few, then a couple, and then there was only one. Only Naruto remained. Only he could end this fight.

"Why do you keep fighting? You are the only one left, just let go." Madara yelled at him as they battled on. The years of fighting on his own was finally taking a toll on him and Naruto knew he could beat him if he continued to stand up. This fight was no longer about winning; it was about not losing.

"I want to see my precious people again and tell them I delivered your head on a platter down to hell." Naruto grunted out as his arm stopped working. Both Madara and him had suffered deadly wounds and it was only a matter of who would keel over first. If there was one thing no one would deny about Naruto was that he was stubborn, and that wasn't about to change.

With one final yell they charged each other and with a shower of blood Madara head came off his shoulder with a swipe of the air blade Naruto had made with his chakra. Time seemed to freeze as Madara's body tilted back and forth before succumbing to gravity and falling to the earth.

"Enjoy your time in hell." Naruto muttered to the corpse with strained breath before he too fell to the power of gravity. As he landed on his ass he looked over at his side that had been ripped open from Madara's last attack. It wasn't good but he couldn't even feel it. His hand was the only thing keeping his insides in and the blood flowing out of him could make a red river. Even Tsunade couldn't have healed this. With a deep sigh Naruto looked up to the stars that littered the sky, "See you soon." he whispered as his eyes slid shut never to be opened again.

In the land of the living the few civilians that had managed to live felt a shift in the world. The grass grew greener, the sun shone brighter, and the water ran clearer. They all knew that Madara had finally fallen and some retired shinobi followed the trail to the spot of the final battle. There they found Naruto and Madara's corpses. They burned Madara's body and let the ashes float away in the wind before using some earth jutsu to make Naruto a grand and secluded resting place. Wind users helped them to shape a statue into the rock surrounding the mountain that hid Naruto's body. Stories of the grand battle were passed down from generations to generations until they faded into the world of myths and legends.

In the world of the dead Naruto was waking up to a simple looking space. It had nothing in it but a reflective floor and infinite light space in every direction. "Hello?" Naruto called out into the vastness of the space around him.

"Hello hero." A soft voice said from behind him. Naruto jumped and spun seeing a female figure standing behind him.

"Hello, who are you two? Where am I? Where are my friends?" He asked in quick succession.

"I am Izanami, the goddess of life and death; you are in the plane between life and death; and your friends are waiting for you, but I have one question to ask of you."

Naruto turned to look at her before nodding his head in a silent okay.

"Would you like another chance at life? Not in the world you just saved, but in another one. One that needs saving. I am asking, begging, of you to go and save this other world. Its hero has yet to arrive and by the time he does it will be too late. I need someone I can send there now to hold the incoming doom off and save the world while saving some people from their own darkness. I wish I could tell you more, but I can not. In the same way I can not go there myself and save that world."

Naruto thought about the proposal before deciding. "I will take that deal as long as I get to spend some time with my loved ones. I have waited too long to see them or meet them for the opportunity to be ripped away from me so fast."

Izanami looked relieved before quickly agreeing to the deal. "I can not let you completely cross over because I would not be able to pull you back from there and transfer you to the other world, but I can bring you loved ones here for a limited amount of time, but I will give you as much time as I can."

"Thank you Izanami." She gave him a small smile before pulling everyone in at once.

A yell of "Naruto!" rang through the space as everyone charged to him and gave him a hug. All of his friends cleared the way for a blond haired man and a red headed woman to get closer and Naruto knew who they were right away.

"Mom, Dad." He yelled as he jumped into their arms and squeezed.

"Look at you Naruto, you grew up so well." another familiar voice cut in.

"Hi old man." Naruto hugged the Third Hokage tightly as more people appired around him.

"Even us, jeez she's generous." Zabuza said as Haku followed behind him. The pattern continued from there until Naruto was surrounded by people that had made an impact on his life. Minato, Kushina, Jiraiya, Iruka, Hiruzen, Tsunade, Konohamaru, Hinata, Kiba, Shino, Choji, Ino, Shikamaru, Sakura, Saskue, Kakashi, Neji, Lee, Tenten, Sai, Nagato, Konan, Zabuza, Haku, Temari, Kankuro, Gaara, Killer Bee, and even Itachi.

"Naruto your time with them is almost up, but I would like to allow them to give you a gift or of their knowledge or powers for you to be able to use in your next life." She spoke and everyone quickly agreed.

First was Zabuza who gave Naruto the ability to use a blade. Then Haku gave him the ability to use her ice-based attacks. After them was Minato with the flying thunder god seal and Kushina with chakra chains. Shikamaru gave him the ability to control shadows and Choji gave him the ability to use expansion jutsu. Jiraiya gave him his knowledge on seals and Hiruzen gave him all of his knowledge of jutsu. Tsunade gave him her strength enhancement and Sakura gave him her knowledge of healing that included the Yin seal. Iruka gave him all of the knowledge of dealing with children that he had and Kakashi gave him more knowledge on attacks he had copied from obonets. Saskuke gave him his Rinnegan and Itachi gave him all his knowledge on his abilities, which included how to use the Sharingan. Hinanta gave him her Byakugan and Neji gave him all his knowledge on his abilities, which included how to use the Byakugan. Kiba gave him his family's abilities which incleaded the senses and the ability to understand animals while Shino did the same. Ino shared her mind transfer jutsu and Lee gave him all of his knowledge off his attacks. Tenten gave him her knowledge of weapons and Sai gave him the ability to bring his paintings to life. Nagato gave him the knowledge to use the Rinnegan Sauke had given him and Konan gave him the ability to turn it into paper. Temari gave him her knowledge of wind while Kankuro gave him the knowledge of chakra puppet strings. Gaara gave him his sand and Killer Bee gave him all his knowledge on his fighting style. Konahamuro gave him a hug.

Naruto turned to Izanami as the last one of his precious people gave him a hug. "I guess it's time to go now?" She nodded and he turned to wave goodbye to his loved ones.

"We will be watching over you, Naruto." Sakura spoke before all of them faded from the realm he was in.

"I have one more gift to give you, Naruto." She spoke, "This world is too unstable to keep the Buji in anymore and I was going to allow them to go with you into this new world as long as it was okay with you. They have already agreed and you are the only one who can even try to keep them all contained without deadly consciences."

"I agree, Izanami. I would love to have them come with me." She gave him another one of her small smiles before opening a portal.

"Your new life awaits you behind that portal, but before you go I will warn you that sometimes your body will not be the same as in this world. Also, I believe you have figured this out, but you mustn't let anyone know of your true power until they have earned your trust."

"Of course." and with that Naruto stepped through the portal and into his new life.

Naruto snapped out of his memories and looked once again at his small body before he was onslaughted with memories of what exercises to do to straighten a young body and chakra. "I'll need to work on that." He thought before he started to experiment with all of his new abilities and how far he could push them. He was in a grove before a voice spoke in his head.

"Come on in kit. I have some people I want you to meet."

Naruto allowed him to get pulled into his mind and reality slipped away as he went to talk to Kurama. As soon as his eyes opened and he saw the familiar red haired fluffy giant fox he sprinted to him and hugged him around his leg.

"It's good to see you again, Kurama."

"You too, kit. Now let me introduce you to my family. You know one, Shikaku, 2 is Matatabi, 3 is Isobu, Son Goku, 4, Kokuo, 5, Saiken, 6, Chomei is number 7, Gyuki is 8, and of course you know me." Naruto gave them all a little wave while still holding on to Kurama's leg. It kind of looked like a child holding onto their parents leg. "Now then you know Shikaku's abilities and we will stop him from taking you over in your sleep unless needed, so don't worry about that. Matatabi gives you much stronger fire and superior speed and strength. Isobu gives you stronger water pressure to your attacks, ability to swim faster, and the ability to produce hallucinogenic mist. Son Goku enhances your physical prowess even more and will allow you to learn fighting styles at an accelerated pace. Kokuo will enhance your already impressive will power, and harden your bones so you can ram aponits and take more hits, they also allow you to use steam release which allows you to use steam and enhances your physical strength once again. Saiken gives you the ability of corrosive substances in the form of liquids, they also increase your dexterity once again, increase your water release, and allow you to make shield bubbles. Chomei increases your dexterity even more, gives you the ability to use blinding power, cocoon yourself, and even have wings if you focus your chakra into that shape. Gyuki increases your overall physical prowess again, gives your teeth and nails more durability and a sharper point, decreases the time it takes for your chakra to replenish, and stops you from being caught in any illusions. Finally me, which you already know all that I bring to the table. All of us increase your chakra reserves enormously, you will more than likely never run out of chakra, and your healing ability, along with being able to use a beast bomb. You have more than enough chakra to use on your own, but if we helped you it would be even stronger." Kurama finished.

Naruto just stood there staring at all of the tailed beasts before sighing and starting to fade. "It was nice to meet you all, but I should probably get training before I accidentally blow up the forest."

The beasts laughed as he faded and he could still hear them as he started to train his body and abilities. It was going to take a lot of work to get to where he wanted to be, but it would be worth it.
