"WHERE IS HE!?" Surge restated as her already thin patience was somehow worn even thinner "I WAS TOLD SONIC WOULD BE HERE, SO WHERE! IS! HE!?" she punctuated her words by clenching her fists and sending jolts of electricity flowing through them.

The air hung still as no one even dared to breathe, less they set off the variable bomb of anger in front of them; thus the group could only wonder why Surge thought she would find Sonic here as none of them had any clue why she would think that.

Well... one of them actually did know.

"You made it!" Amy happily sang out, as she quickly appeared at Surge's side, "I was starting to get worried, but I knew-"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever!" Surge loudly cut the pink hedgehog off and shoved her away "Just show me where Sonic is so I can kick his-"

"Sonic's not here yet," Amy quickly interrupted the tenrec (lest she incur the wrath of Vanilla) "so why don't you head into the bathroom and get changed? I put a set of pjs in there for you."

Surge scoffed, but followed along anyway, ignoring the stares from the rest of the group as she made her short trip to the bathroom.

As soon as the tenrec had closed the door, the group shifted their glaze to Amy "Uuuuh, surprise...?" Amy awkwardly half-whispered out.

"Amy I know I'm not one to talk," Tangle began "but why on Earth would you invite her!?" the lemur practically screamed out, throwing her arms towards the bathroom.

"I heard that!" Surge called out from the bathroom before the group heard a crash "Gah, stupid pants!" the tenrec complained as more crashing was heard.

"I mean seriously, did you forget what she did to Whisper and her Wisps!?" Tangle continued gesturing at the wolf in question as she did "Tell her Whisper!"

Whisper didn't have anything to add, but the confused and disgusted look she shot at Amy said far more than anyone needed or could say.

Amy sighed "I know she's done terrible things, but we have to remember that it was Dr. Starline that made her that way." the pink hedgehog explained "And I think with a little guidance we can make her a better person, so lets at least give her a chance."

The group all glanced uneasily at each other, uncertain of how to feel about the situation, before one spoke up.

"Alright, I'll give a chance." Whisper said, shocking the group although they were quick to nod in agreement.

"Well, you should probably tell her Sonic isn't coming now." Lanolin suggested, "She'll just end up angrier if you tell her later."

And with perfect timing, Surge walked out of the bathroom, now dressed in a yellow t-shirt, purple sweatpants, and yellow and black open-toe slippers.

"You look great in those Surge." Amy complimented the bored tenrec, with the rest of the group giving mixed mutters of agreement. Surge replied only with a disinterested snort as she picked at her teeth "So, do you want to play a board game or get a make over? Oh, also do you want a snack or-"

"When's Sonic going to be here?" Surge interrupted, clearly not interested in anything other than destroying the blue blur.

"Hey about that you see..." Amy began trying to think of another lie, only to quickly give up "I lied, but since you're here already why don't stay and enjoy yourself?"

With an unimpressed glare, the tenrec turned to leave, only to be quickly snatched up by a certain lemur's tail.

"HEY! LET ME DOWN!" Surge yelled out as she struggled against her ring-tailed prison, to no avail.

"Come up girl, hang out and relax." Tangle said, before letting out a small laugh to herself "Heh, hang out, heh."

Surge, however, didn't find the humor in the situation "I'LL RIP YOU APART!" the furious tenrec screamed as she flailed her feet at the lemur trying to kick Tangle, to no avail.

As Amy watched the tenrec flail about in the grip of Tangle's tail "You know, the cookies have probably cooled off by now." The pink hedgehog nervously commented to change the subject, awkwardly shuffling towards the kitchen as she said "Let me go get those."

A few moments later and the group had adjusted rather well to their unexpected guest; all of them tuning out Surge's screams as Amy was passing out sugar cookies.

"Would you like a cookie Lanolin?" the pink hedgehog asked the sheep, having already handed ones to Whisper and Tangle who sat nearby.

"No thanks, but can I have one for Maggie?" Lanolin asked as the magenta wisp shot a begging stare towards Amy.

"Of course." The pink hedgehog agreed with a smile as she handed over the cookie.

"Thanks Amy." Lanolin said holding the cookie up to Maggie and the magenta wisp happily snatched it up.

Just above them; Cream, the sole member of the group who seemingly couldn't ignore Surge, was trying to play peacemaker.

"C- could you p- please stop yelling M- miss Surge." Cream stammered out as she floated up to where tenrec's was still wrapped up "H- here, do you want one of Miss Amy's sugar cookies?" the rabbit child asked with an uneasy smile, holding the cookie up to the Surge's face.

"AAAHHHHRRRRGGGG!" she screamed out her answer (don't think that was a no) and flailed about in Tangle's grasp, still failing to escape from it.

"C- Cream, honey I don't think she wants to be bothered." Jewel said as she gently pulled the rabbit away from the green-furred ball of anger.

And over at the kitchen, Silver's makeover was reaching its end.

"Aaaand... done!" Sonia stated as she finished applying eyeshadow, holding a mirror up to Silver's face, "What do ya think?"

"I- I'm..." the psychic hedgehog stammered out as he took in his now makeup-covered face, before finally whispering out, "Beautiful..."

Honey smiled at Silver's joy as she finished trying bows in the hedgehog's quill tips "Remind me to give you my number, I'd love to have you come over to my place and try some outfits on." the cat requested.

Back in the middle of the apartment, Sally was getting a similar treatment, happily munching on a cookie with a cup of hot chocolate as Bunnie did her hair. Next to the acorn princess, Belle and Nicole held some idle chat as Amy finished handing out the cookies.

"Here you go Tang-" Amy began as she handed a cookie to the lemur's tail only to quickly be hit over the head with some realization "Wait a minute!"

The pink hedgehog glanced back at the lemur to see half a dozen cookies laying in front of her, Tangle took a bite out of one of them as she flashed a playful smile back at Amy.

The pink hedgehog let out an annoyed huff, but overall she couldn't complain. After all the sleepover had gone (mostly) without a hitch.

Right?

Several hours later, the lights had been turned off, sleeping bags rolled out on the living room floor, and the group was fast asleep; even Surge, despite all of her seemingly endless energy with her screaming and squirming, had eventually fallen for the calls of the Sandman and was now peacefully cuddling Tangle's tail.

Well... most of them were asleep; as two were still wide awake, not for lack of trying but more lack of ability to try.

"You know, I appreciated Amy's extending an invitation to me," Nicole began, sitting next to a sleeping Sally, "but I think she may have overlooked the problem I would have with the 'sleep' part of the sleepover."

"Yeah, she also offered me a cookie earlier." Belle noted holding up said cookie, obviously still uneaten.

Nicole smiled slightly "It is nice to think that our friends think so little of us being artificial that they sometimes forget." she admitted, gently brushing Sally's hair, as the acorn princess to smiled in her sleep.

"I don't know, I find it a bit annoying." Belle shrugged "You won't believe how tiring it can get when your boss keeps asking how you stand it being so hot or so cold in the workshop."

Nicole gave the puppety robot a tiny nod in response and the pair went back to sitting in silence for a few minutes more.

"Soooooooo," Belle finally broke the silence as she rocked back and forth slightly "What should we do now?"

Nicole thought on it, and soon a mischievous grin appeared on the Holo-Lynx's face "Do you have a marker?"

"Yeah." Belle responded, flicking her pointer finger open to reveal a black marker tip, before flashing Nicole a confused glance "Why?"

The Holo-Lynx glanced over at the sleeping girls as she explained "Let's just say I researched some sleepover traditions before Sally and I came over."
