Chapter 61 Kanto League Top 8 battle Ash vs Leaf
Hello everyone, this chapter will mainly focus on Ash and Leaf's battle. Just like last week's chapter this chapter's long too and I hope you all enjoy.
The chapter begins where the last one ended off with Ash and Leaf sending out their Pokémon. We zoom in on the battlefield as both trainers speak.
"Go! Meowscarda!" "Hawlucha I choose you!" Both trainers say sending out their mons. Meowscarda comes out first, it has a smile on its face and gets in a battle stance. Hawlucha comes out next it does a pose then gets in a battle stance too. Back in the stands Misty speaks.
"So, the first battle is between Meowscarda and Hawlucha" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Ash does have the type advantage but Leaf's Meowscarda has the Protein ability allowing it to change its typing depending on the move it uses Ash will need to be careful" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield the ref speaks.
"Now that both trainers have brought in their first Pokémon let the battle begin!" The ref calls Ash quickly makes the first move.
"Hawlucha use Acrobatics!" Ash calls Hawlucha glows bright blue and shoots forward going to hit Meowscarda as Leaf speaks.
"Counter with Thunder Punch!" Leaf calls Meowscarda electrifies its right fist and becomes an electric type. Meowscarda and Hawlucha collide, they start pushing each other back seeing who's stronger. A few seconds later both mons back away from each other, Meowscarda stops itself it begins to run forward as Leaf speaks.
"Now U Turn!" Leaf calls before Ash can make a command Meowscarda becomes a bug type glows in green bug energy and hits Hawlucha knocking it away causing some damage and making it land on its back. Meowscarda then goes back in its Pokeball as one of its teammates takes its place, what appears is an Ostrich like Pokémon Ash looks at it and speaks.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash questions as he takes out his Pokedex.
"Espathra the fully evolved form of Flittle and a pure Psychic type. It immobilizes opponents by bathing them in psychic power from its large eyes. Despite its appearance, it has a vicious temperament." The Pokedex says as Espathra glares at Hawlucha with Hawlucha glaring at it Leaf then speaks.
"Okay Espathra use Psybeam!" Leaf calls the Ostrichs eyes glow as it fires the psychic beam at Hawlucha Ash then speaks.
"Hawlucha dodge!" Ash calls Hawlucha quickly jumps in the air dodging the attack when it does Leaf calls for her next command.
"Now use Disarming Voice!" Leaf calls Espathra lets out a loud cry filled with fairy energy. Hawlucha can't dodge in time as the move hits Hawlucha causing super effective damage. Hawlucha falls on the ground groaning in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Now Psybeam!" Leaf calls Espathra fires the psychic beam as it's about to hit Hawlucha Ash calls for a command.
"Hawlucha use X Scissor!" Ash calls Hawlucha nods the lucha bird jumps forward and puts its arms in an X shape they glow in green bug energy. Hawlucha then collides with the Psybeam and begins to easily cut through it surprising Leaf and Espathra as Ash speaks.
"Now hit it Hawlucha!" Ash calls Hawlucha keeps going until it hits Espathra in the face causing super effective damage and making the Ostrich slide back a few feet as Ash speaks.
"Great job Hawlucha!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie. Hawlucha lands back on the battlefield and smiles. Leaf then speaks.
"Not bad Ash but you'll need a lot more than that to take down my Espathra" Leaf says with the Ostrich nodding it continues to glare at Hawlucha as Ash begins to think.
"Even though Hawlucha landed that X Scissor it looked like it didn't do much damage. If I keep Hawlucha in, it'll most likely go down so it would be best to switch" Ash says to himself he pulls out Hawluchas Pokeball and speaks.
"Hawlucha return!" Ash says with the Lucha bird nodding it goes back in its Pokeball. Ash puts Hawluchas Pokeball back on his belt he grabs another Pokeball and speaks.
"Pyroar I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as the fire lion appears. Pyroar lets out a mighty roar sending out a shock wave, Pyroar then looks at Espathra and gets in a battle stance with the Ostrich doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Leaf makes the first move.
"Espathra use Psychic!" Leaf calls Espathras eyes glow it fires the psychic waves at Pyroar as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar use Crunch to destroy the Psychic then use Flame Charge!" Ash calls Pyroars teeth glow in dark energy as it bites down on the Psychic easily destroying it. Pyroar then covers itself in fire and runs forward going to hit Espathra as Leaf speaks.
"Use Psyshock!" Leaf calls Espathra summons multiple psychic orbs and fires them at Pyroar. They're about to collide with the lion as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Pyroar and keep running!" Ash calls when the psychic orbs are about to hit Pyroar the lion starts dodging all of them. Once Pyroar dodges all of them it continues to run when it's close enough Pyroar jumps forward going to hit Espathra as Leaf speaks.
"Stop it with Psychic!" "Pyroar counter with Noble Roar!" Both trainers call when Espathra goes to use Psychic Pyroar lets out a mighty roar which stops the Ostrich. Espathra can feel its attack and special attack power decrease as Ash speaks.
"Now use Crunch!" Ash calls Pyroar covers its teeth in dark energy then bites down hard on Espathra causing super effective damage. The Ostrich cries out in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Espathra use Psybeam!" "Back away Pyroar!" Both trainers call Espathra fires the beam, but Pyroar quickly jumps back avoiding the move. Pyroar then starts to heat up its mouth as Ash speaks.
"Now use Flamethrower!" Ash calls Pyroar roars as it fires the stream of fire at Espathra. Neither Leaf nor the Ostrich are worried as Leaf speaks.
"Run forward and use Zen Headbutt!" Leaf calls Espathra covers its head in psychic energy then runs forward. As Espathra's about to come into contact with the Flamethrower it points its head forward and collides with the stream of fire. When that happens Espathra continues to run forward easily blowing the flames away surprising Ash and Pyroar. Back in the stands Brock speaks.
"I see so by using Zen Headbutt Leaf's having the psychic energy on Espathras head blow away the flames so that they don't injure it" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Espathra bursts out of the flames and successfully hits Pyroar causing some damage and making the lion skid back a few feet as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar are you okay?!" Ash asks with the fire lion nodding it stares back at the Ostrich as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Zen Headbutt again!" Leaf calls Espathra covers its head in psychic energy and shoots forward as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar counter with Flame Charge!" Ash calls Pyroar roars it covers its body in fire and runs forward. As the two mons are going to collide Leaf speaks.
"Jump Espathra!" Leaf calls surprising Ash as he sees the Ostrich jump in the air getting above Pyroar Leaf then speaks.
"Now use Low Kick!" Leaf calls before Ash can make a command Espathra quickly shoots down and kicks Pyroars back pushing the lion to the ground creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar!" Ash calls in worry when the dust clears everyone can see Espathra standing on Pyroars back with the lion groaning in pain. Leaf smiles and speaks.
"Now use Psybeam!" Leaf calls when Espathra goes to fire the psychic beam Ash speaks.
"Pyroar use Hyper Voice!" Ash calls Pyroar quickly lets out a loud ear-piercing roar that hurts not only Espathras ears but also Leaf's. Pyroar then manages to knock Espathra off its back making the Ostrich land on the ground a few feet away while Pyroar stands back up as Ash speaks.
"Great job Pyroar now use Work Up!" Ash calls Pyroar lets out a mighty roar increasing its attack/special attack. When that happens Espathra slightly glows red making Leaf smile as Ash speaks.
"Now use Dark Pulse!" Ash calls Pyroar roars it fires a stream of dark energy at Espathra. As the beam is about to hit the mon Leaf speaks.
"Espathra dodge then use Drill Peck!" Leaf calls Espathra quickly stands up and dodges the Dark Pulse. Espathras beak then grows longer as it begins to spin, Espathra begins running forward heading for Pyroar as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar counter with Flame Charge!" Ash calls Pyroar roars it covers its body in fire and runs forward. The two mons meet in the middle of the battlefield and collide as they begin pushing each other back and forth. As they're doing so Espathra manages to overpower Pyroar and push it away, surprising Ash. Pyroar flies 10 feet back landing on its stomach as Ash speaks.
"What just happened? How did Espathra manage to overpower Pyroar after it used Work Up?" Ash questions as Leaf speaks.
"That's because my Espathras attack power increased" Leaf responds as Ash speaks.
"Increased? But I don't remember you calling a move that boosts Espathras attack power" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"That's because you did it for me" Leaf responds making Ash confused as Leaf continues to speak.
"My Espathra has the Opportunist ability which allows it to boost the same stats as its opponent" Leaf responds shocking Ash as he speaks.
"So, that's why" Ash says with Leaf nodding back in the stands Misty speaks.
"Leaf's full of surprises" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, and from here on out Ash will need to be careful using moves like Work Up while facing Espathra" Brock says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf speaks.
"My Espathras attack/special attack is already high to begin with so thank you Ash and now it's time to increase its special attack power more" Leaf says as she calls for her next command.
"Espathra use Calm Mind!" Leaf calls with Espathra nodding as it begins to calm its mind Ash speaks.
"We won't let you Pyroar use Noble Roar!" Ash calls Pyroar lets out a loud roar as Leaf speaks.
"Espathra use Protect and finish using Calm Mind!" Leaf calls Espathra summons a protective barrier blocking Pyroars attack. Espathra then successfully finishes Calm Mind increasing its special attack/defense more. The Ostrich glares at Pyroar as Leaf speaks.
"Great now use Psybeam!" Leaf calls Espathra fires the psychic beam it quickly travels down the battlefield going to hit Pyroar as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar dodge then use Dark Pulse!" Ash calls Pyroar quickly jumps to the right dodging the Psybeam, as it goes to fire the Dark Pulse Leaf speaks.
"Grab it with Psychic!" Leaf calls Espathra fires the psychic waves and catches Pyroar before it can fire the dark pulse. Pyroar tries to break free but Espathra's holding on tightly as Leaf speaks.
"Now let's finish this use Lumina Crash!" Leaf calls Espathras eyes glow blue as it shines bright firing a big wave of Psychic energy at Pyroar as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar quick get out of there!" Ash calls Pyroar tries but it can't get out of the Psychic. The lion looks forward and sees the move is getting closer. Leaf has a smile on her face as Ash begins to think.
"This is bad if Pyroar gets hit by that it'll faint what can I do?" Ash says to himself as he begins to think he remembers a move that Pyroar recently learned and speaks.
"Pyroar use Snarl!" Ash calls surprising Leaf before the Lumina Crash hits Pyroar the fire lion lets out a mighty roar as it fires multiple black rings from its mouth that destroys the Lumina Crash and hits Espathra causing super effective damage and lowering its special attack power. Pyroar also breaks out of the psychic hold and lands back on the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"Great job Pyroar!" Ash cheers with the lion nodding, back in the stands Brock speaks.
"It's a good thing Ash called for Pyroar to use Snarl when he did otherwise the Lumina Crash would've knocked it out" Brock says with the group nodding as Ritchie speaks.
"Also, now that the Snarl landed it'll lower Espathras special attack power" Ritchie says as the group nod. Back on the battlefield Leaf's surprised she then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Not bad Ash I wasn't expecting you to call for Snarl which lowered Espathras special attack power. But even though that caused damage to Espathra it can still keep going while your Pyroar on the other hand looks like it could go down at any second" Leaf says as Ash looks at Pyroar he sees it panting heavily and begins to think.
"Leaf's right Pyroar looks like it could go down soon should I return it?" Ash questions as he looks at Pyroar who looks back at him. Pyroar gives Ash a look telling Ash to not return it and it will defeat Espathra. Ash nods and speaks.
"Okay Pyroar I understand let's keep going!" Ash says with Pyroar roaring in agreement as Leaf speaks.
"I'm not so sure if keeping Pyroar in is a good idea Ash but I don't mind as Espathra will soon defeat it" Leaf says having a confident look on her face, she then calls for her next command.
"Espathra use Psychic!" Leaf calls Espathra fires the waves of psychic energy at Pyroar as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar use Snarl!" Ash calls Pyroar roars and fires the dark rings easily destroying the psychic. The dark rings go to hit Espathra as Leaf speaks.
"Espathra use Drill Peck to destroy the Snarl then run forward and use Zen Headbutt!" Leaf calls Espathras beak glows longer it spins then connects with the Snarl easily destroying it. Espathras head then glows in psychic energy it runs forward heading for Pyroar as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar Flame Charge!" Ash calls Pyroar covers its body in fire and runs forward going to collide with Espathra as Leaf speaks.
"You already tried this Ash Espathra jump then use Low Kick!" Leaf calls when the two mons are about to collide Espathra jumps getting above Pyroar. It then falls downward going to step on Pyroar, Ash smirks and speaks.
"And you did this before Pyroar use Bounce!" Ash calls surprising Leaf. Before Leaf can tell Espathra to dodge Pyroars body glows blue as it shoots upward colliding with Espathra. The Ostrich tries its best to push Pyroar down, but the fire lion roars as it manages to knock away Espathras legs and hits its stomach. Espathra coughs in pain as both mons then shoot high into the air, when they get high enough Pyroar knocks Espathra off its back making the Ostrich fall. Pyroar then falls towards Espathra going to hit it as Leaf speaks.
"Espathra use Disarming Voice!" Pyroar use Noble Roar!" Both trainers call Espathra lets out a charming voice of fairy energy, but Pyroar roars it destroys the Disarming Voice and hits Espathra decreasing its attack/special attack. Espathra looks at Pyroar heading for it as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar Fire Spin!" "Espathra use Protect!" Both trainers call Pyroars mouth heats up as it fires the fire tornado, Espathra quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the move. When that happens Pyroar then appears in front of it surprising the Ostrich as Ash speaks.
"Now Flame Charge!" Ash calls Pyroar roars it quickly covers its body in fire and hits Espathras stomach making the Ostrich cough in pain. Pyroar then starts pushing Espathra down to the battlefield, everyone looks at the mons falling from the sky looking like a flaming comet as Leaf speaks.
"Espathra use Drill Peck!" "Pyroar use Crunch!" Both trainers call Espathras beak grows longer it goes to hit Pyroar but the lion covers its teeth in dark energy and bites down on Espathra causing super effective damage. Espathra groans in pain but pushes through the pain and starts pecking Pyroars side with Drill Peck. Pyroar groans in pain but still keeps its grip on Espathra biting harder and inbreeding its claws in the Ostrich while Espathra continues to peck at Pyroars side. The two mons keep falling until they crash back down on the battlefield creating an explosion and a big gust of wind as Ash and Leaf speak.
"Pyroar!" "Espathra!" The two trainers call when the smoke clears everyone looks at the battlefield, they see Espathra and Pyroar both are laying on their stomachs and look to be knocked out. When the ref is about to call for a draw Pyroar opens its eyes it struggles to stand up but eventually does and begins to pant heavily as the ref speaks.
"Espathra's unable to battle Pyroar's the winner!" The ref calls Ash gets a big smile on his face and speaks.
"Yeah, Way to Go Pyroar!" "Pika!" "Rio!" "Fro!" Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer. Pyroar looks at them and smiles. Pyroar then roars in victory as the crowd claps for it, back at Oak's ranch with Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's Pokemon they all cheer for Pyroar with Luxio and the fire types cheering the loudest. Back in the stands Ash's friends cheer as Ritchie speaks.
"Ash knew Leaf would try to use Low Kick on Pyroar again, so he called for Pyroar to use Bounce to counter and send both Pokémon into the sky. Then when Espathras Protect went down after blocking the Fire Spin he had Pyroar shoot forward using Flame Charge and Crunch to do major damage to Espathra" Ritchie says as Brock speaks.
"Then when they landed Espathra broke Pyroar's fall, Pyroar still took damage of course but not as much" Brock says with Ritchie nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf returns Espathra back to its Pokeball she looks at the ball and speaks.
"Thank you Espathra take a good rest" Leaf says she puts the ball back on her belt then looks at Ash.
"Not bad Ash I wasn't expecting that you always come up with very crazy ideas, but the battle's not done yet" Leaf says she pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Talonflame Go!" Leaf says she throws the ball forward as her shiny Talonflame appears. The fire bird lets out a mighty cry flying in the air it then looks at Pyroar and gets in a battle stance as Ash speaks.
"So, Talonflame's next" Ash says the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"I should switch Pyroar for now" Ash says when he goes to return the lion Leaf speaks.
"Not so fast Ash Talonflame use Air Slash!" Leaf calls Talonflames wings glow it fires multiple slashes of wind at Pyroar as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar dodge!" Ash calls Pyroar still hurts from its battle with Espathra but manages to dodge the slashes of wind. Pyroar looks at Talonflame as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar use Noble Roar!" Ash calls Pyroar lets out a mighty roar as Leaf speaks.
"Talonflame dodge then use Flamethrower!" Leaf calls Talonflame quickly dodges to the right avoiding the Noble Roar. Talonflame heats up its mouth and shoots out the stream of fire heading for Pyroar as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar counter with your Flamethrower!" Ash calls Pyroar heats up its mouth and fires the stream of fire. The two Flamethrowers collide and begin fighting to see who's stronger. Talonflames Flamethrower begins to push Pyroars back as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar use Overheat!" Ash calls Pyroars body heats up more as the lion lets out a mighty roar its Flamethrower becomes bigger turning into a Overheat. It begins to easily destroy Talonflames Flamethrower and is about to hit the bird as Leaf speaks.
"Talonflame Fire Blast!" Leaf calls Talonflame roars as its Flamethrower turns into a big blast of fire. The Fire Blast and Overheat collide creating an explosion which blows both mons back. Pyroar manages to stop itself it looks at Talonflame as Ash speaks.
"Pyroar use Snarl!" Ash calls Pyroar roars as it fires multiple black rings filled with dark energy from its mouth. The rings go to hit the still spinning Talonflame as Leaf speaks.
"Dodge Talonflame then use Air Slash!" Leaf calls Talonflame quickly readjusts itself and easily dodges the Snarl. Talonflames wings glow it fires multiple slashes of wind they head for Pyroar as Ash speaks.
"Look out Pyroar!" Ash calls before Pyroar dodges it and Ash notice the Air Slash missing Pyroar and hitting the ground around it instead causing multiple explosions creating a cloud of dust Leaf smirks as Ash speaks.
"Why did the Air Slash hit the ground instead?" Ash questions before he can begin thinking Leaf calls for a command.
"Talonflame use Acrobatics!" Leaf calls Talonflame instantly appears where Pyroar is it glows blue and begins hitting Pyroar back and forth causing major damage to the lion. Talonflame then hits Pyroar one more time as the lion appears out of the cloud of dust landing below Ash's feet laying on its side. Everyone can see that Pyroar has no intention to continue as the ref speaks.
"Pyroar's unable to battle Talonflame's the winner!" The ref calls Leaf and Talonflame cheer in victory while the crowd claps for them. Meanwhile back at Oak's ranch Leaf's Pokémon are also watching the battle they are happy that Talonflame won while Ash's Pokémon are sad that Pyroar lost. Back in the stadium in the stands Giselle speaks.
"Wait what happened?" Giselle asks as Brock speaks.
"What happened was that Leaf had Talonflame fire the Air Slash at the ground creating a dust cloud as a distraction. While Ash was thinking on what to do next Leaf took that opportunity and had Talonflame use Acrobatics to defeat Pyroar" Brock answers with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie look at Pyroar. They're sad that it lost as Ash speaks.
"Thank you Pyroar you did great take a good rest" Ash says he pulls out Pyroars Pokeball returning the fire lion. Ash puts the ball back on his belt he then looks forward watching Leaf congratulate Talonflame as he speaks.
"That was a pretty good idea Leaf" Ash says Leaf looks at him and speaks.
"Thanks, I knew that was the best way to defeat Pyroar" Leaf responds with Ash nodding. Ash grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Well in that case it's time for us to get revenge for Pyroar, Tyrunt I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as Tyrunt appears. The young T-Rex lets out a mighty roar then gets into a battle stance as Leaf speaks.
"So, Tyrunt's next let's keep going Talonflame!" Leaf says with Talonflame nodding the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash calls for the first move.
"Tyrunt use Ancient Power!" Ash calls Tyrunt roars it summons multiple rocks covered in purple energy then shoots them at Talonflame as Leaf speaks.
"Use Steel Wing to destroy the rocks then get close to Tyrunt!" Leaf calls Talonflame covers its wings in steel energy it flies forward and begins to easily destroy the rocks. As Talonflame's getting closer to Tyrunt Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt use Thunder Fang!" "Dodge Talonflame then use U-Turn!" Both trainers call Tyrunt covers its teeth in electricity it goes to bite Talonflame but the fire bird dodges to the right. Talonflame then glows in green bug energy and hits Tyrunts left side causing some damage and making the mon skid back a few feet. Talonflame then goes back in its Pokeball as Poliwrath appears taking its place. Poliwrath gets into a battle stance as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath fires a big stream of water at Tyrunt as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Tyrunt then run forward and use Thunder Fang!" Ash calls when the Hydro Pump's about to hit Tyrunt the T-rex moves to the left side avoiding the move. Tyrunt then quickly runs forward covering its teeth in electricity, as Tyrunt goes to bite Poliwrath the Tadpole ready's its left fist as Leaf speaks.
"Counter with Dynamic Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwraths left fist glows it punches forward and collides with Tyrunts mouth. The two mons begin pushing each other back but Poliwrath wins the exchange easily pushing Tyrunt away making it roll back a few feet away. Poliwrath then jumps towards Tyrunt as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Dynamic Punch again!" "Dodge Tyrunt then use Stone Edge!" Both trainers call Poliwrath goes to punch Tyrunt again with its right fist but misses as Tyrunt jumps back a few feet to the left. When Tyrunt lands it roars it summons multiple large sharp stones around it and fires them at Poliwrath. Poliwrath isn't worried, it brings its fists up as Leaf calls for a command.
"Poliwrath use Close Combat!" Leaf calls Poliwrath begins to punch the sharp stones easily destroying them. Poliwrath destroys one more Stone Edge then sees Tyrunt in front of it. Tyrunt has its right claw ready as Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt use Dragon Claw!" "Poliwrath counter with Ice Punch!" Both trainers call Tyrunt covers its right claw in dragon energy while Poliwrath covers its left fist in ice. The two mons collide Tyrunt tries to push through but can't as Poliwrath's too strong. Poliwrath knocks Tyrunt away making it crash below Ash's feet, Ash looks at Tyrunt and speaks.
"Tyrunt are you okay?" Ash asks Tyrunt nods it stands back up but starts to pant a little bit as Ash begins to think.
"Even though Tyrunt hasn't taken any damage from Poliwrath it's clear that Polwrath's more physically stronger it would be bad to keep Tyrunt in" Ash says to himself he pulls out Tyrunts Pokeball and speaks.
"Tyrunt return" Ash says with Tyrunt nodding it goes back in its Pokeball as Leaf speaks.
"So, you returned Tyrunt good idea because it wasn't going to defeat my Poliwrath" Leaf says with Poliwrath nodding as Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt may not be able to defeat Poliwrath but I know this one can" Ash responds grabbing his next Pokeball he throws it forward and speaks.
"Corviknight I choose you!" Ash says as the steel raven appears from its Pokeball. It lets out a mighty "Cor!" then lands on the battlefield and glares at Poliwrath with Poliwrath glaring back. Meanwhile in the stands Giselle speaks.
"Nice with Corviknight on the field Ashy Kins can win" Giselle says happily as Misty speaks.
"Knowing Leaf she probably has a way for Poilwrath to defeat Corviknight so Ash will still need to be careful" Misty says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf speaks.
"Corviknight's next huh? Well, that doesn't scare us let's keep going Poliwrath!" Leaf says with Poliwrath nodding it flexes its muscles ready to continue as Ash speaks.
"I'm counting on you Corviknight!" Ash says with Corviknight nodding the ref calls for the battle to continue as Leaf speaks.
"We'll go first use Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath fires the big stream of water at Corviknight as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Corviknight then use Air Slash!" Ash calls Corviknight flies in the air dodging the Hydro Pump. Corviknights wings glow, it then fires multiple slashes of wind they head for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Liquidation!" Leaf calls Poliwrath covers both of its fists in water and begins punching the Air Slash easily destroying the slashes of wind as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Corviknight roars it descends towards Poliwrath and begins to speed up going to hit it as Leaf speaks.
"Stop it with Liquidation Poliwrath!" Leaf calls Poliwrath keeps its hands covered in water and holds them forward as it collides with Corviknight. The two mons begin pushing each other back and forth fighting to see who's stronger. Corviknight starts to push Poliwrath back as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Bulk Up and knock Corviknight away!" Leaf calls Poliwrath roars it bulks up its body increasing its attack/defense power. Poliwrath then begins to slowly push Corviknight back Leaf smiles but neither the raven nor Ash are concerned as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight use Brave Bird!" Ash calls shocking Leaf before she can tell Poilwrath to dodge Corviknight roars as its body is consumed in fire then glows a shiny blue. Corviknight begins to easily push Poliwrath back, Poliwrath tries to push Corviknight away but is starting to lose its grip as Ash speaks.
"Do it Corviknight!" "COR!" Ash and Corviknight yell as Corviknight speeds up more until Poliwrath loses its grip on Corviknight then gets hit creating an explosion as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath!" Leaf calls in worry as Poliwrath appears out of the smoke falling on its back groaning in pain. Corviknight flies in the air it takes some recoil damage but is overall fine as Ash speaks.
"Yeah! great job Corviknight!" Ash cheers with Corviknight nodding as Leaf speaks.
"I wasn't expecting your Corviknight to know Brave Bird" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"While my Pokemon and I were training for the league Pidgeot taught Corviknight Brave Bird" Ash responds with Leaf nodding. The girl looks at Poliwrath she can see that it can still battle but feels if she keeps Polwrath in it'll lose. Leaf makes her decision she pulls out Poliwraths Pokeball and speaks.
"Poliwrath return" Leaf says as the Tadpole goes back in its Pokeball. Leaf grabs another Pokeball she throws it forward and speaks.
"Talonflame come back out!" Leaf says as her shiny Talonflame returns to the battlefield. The scorching Pokemon lets out a mighty roar it then looks over at Corviknight with Corviknight looking at it. The two birds then quickly fly high in the air they spin around then descend. As they're about to hit the ground they quickly lift themselves up then go back to their respective trainers' sides. The crowd lets out a loud cheer from the aerial showcase that the two birds gave them as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight it's time for payback!" Ash says with Corviknight roaring in agreement as Leaf speaks.
"Let's win Talonflame!" Leaf says with the fire bird roaring as well. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash and Leaf speak.
"Use Aerial Ace!" Both trainers call the two birds instantly shoot forward and collide. They begin pushing each other back until they break away from each other then start to fly in the air. As they're flying Talonflame gets behind Corviknight it has its mouth opened as Leaf speaks.
"Talonflame Fire Blast!" Leaf calls Talonflame roars as it fires the big blast of fire at Corviknight, Ash quickly makes a command.
"Corviknight use Protect then Drill Peck!" Ash calls Corviknight turns around it summons the protective barrier blocking the Fire Blast. After that Corviknights beak begins to spin it heads for Talonflame going to hit it as Leaf speaks.
"Talonflame use Flame Charge to dodge!" Leaf calls when Corviknight is close to hitting Talonflame the fire bird quickly heats up its body and narrowly dodges Corviknights attack by moving to the right side. Corviknight quickly goes after Talonflame as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Corviknight speeds up more catching up to Talonflame as Leaf speaks.
"Counter with Flame Charge!" Leaf calls Talonflame quickly turns around and collides with Corviknight creating an explosion. Out of the explosion come Talonflame and Corviknight the two-mons fly in the air continuously clashing with Aerial Ace and Flame Charge putting on a spectacle for the crowd. The two birds collide again then back away from each other both of their wings begin to glow as Ash and Leaf speak.
"Use Air Slash!" Both trainers call Talonflame and Corviknight begin firing multiple slashes of wind at each other. The slashes of wind collide making multiple explosions in the sky creating a cloud of smoke as Leaf speaks.
"Now Flame Charge!" Leaf calls Talonflame roars it heats up its body and flies forward. Talonflame quickly appears out of the smoke and hits Corviknight knocking it away causing super effective damage. Talonflame can feel its speed increase it then flies after Corviknight having its mouth opened as Leaf speaks.
"Now Fire Blast!" Leaf calls Talonflame roars it fires a big blast of fire at Corviknight. As the move is about to hit Corviknight Ash calls for a command.
"Corviknight counter with Hurricane!" Ash calls Corviknight quickly readjusts itself, looks at the incoming Fire Blast and begins to quickly flap its wings creating a large hurricane. The Hurricane collides with the Fire Blast becoming a Fire tornado as Ash speaks.
"Great now blow it back at Talonflame!" Ash calls Corviknight continues to flap its wings sending the fire hurricane back at Talonflame as Leaf speaks.
"I don't think so Ash! Talonflame keep using Fire Blast and blow that Fire Tornado back at Corviknight!" Leaf calls Talonflame roars it continues using Fire Blast increasing more fire to the tornado. Talonflame keeps adding more fire to the tornado as it then starts to push the move back towards Corviknight, Leaf smiles and speaks.
"Yeah! Keep going Talonflame!" Leaf cheers with Talonflame nodding it continues pushing the move at Corviknight. Neither Ash nor Corviknight are worried as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight use Hone Claws then Giga Impact!" Ash calls surprising Leaf. Corviknight looks at the incoming fire tornado it lets out a mighty roar increasing its attack/accuracy. Corviknight then flies forward covering its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and collides with the fire tornado. While inside the tornado of flames Corviknight groans in pain from the heat but keeps going until it manages to break through. This shocks Leaf and Talonflame before Leaf can tell Talonflame to dodge, Corviknight continues flying forward until it hits Talonflame creating an explosion. From the explosion everyone sees Corviknight flying in the air but pants as it's now in its recharge phase. Everyone then sees Talonflame appear from the explosion it falls on the battlefield groaning in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Talonflame!" Leaf calls in worry but the fire bird manages to stand back up it flies back in the air ready to continue making Leaf happy as Ash speaks.
"Darn I thought that would've knocked it out" Ash says to himself. Back in the stands Joe speaks.
"I'm surprised Leaf's Talonflame's still able to move after taking that hit" Joe says with the others nodding as Harrison speaks.
"Leaf must've raised it to have high defenses" Harrison says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf breathes a sigh of relief and is happy that Talonflame can still battle, she then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Nice try Ash but as I was training for the league, I made sure to raise Talonflames defense." Leaf says with Talonflame nodding, Ash nods as well as he then begins to think.
"While it's true that Talonflames defenses are high I see that the Giga Impact still did a lot of damage to Talonflame I just need Corviknight to land a couple more hits and Talonflame will go down" Ash says to himself as Leaf speaks.
"Also, Ash you should take a look at Corviknight" Leaf says, making Ash confused he looks at the steel raven as it's still in its recharge phase. A few seconds later Corviknight's consumed in flames making the steel bird cry out in pain shocking Ash as he speaks.
"But how? Corviknight didn't get hit by a fire move" Ash says he then begins to think as he remembers Talonflames ability. Leaf looks at Ash she can see that he found the answer as she speaks.
"Looks like you remembered that my Talonflame has the Flame Body ability making it so when the opposing Pokémon lands a direct hit on Talonflame it has a chance at being burned" Leaf says having a smile on her face while Ash grits his teeth. Back in the stands Brock speaks.
"This isn't good Ash will have to end the battle fast otherwise Corviknight will lose" Brock says with Harrison nodding while everyone else continue to cheer on Ash. Back on the battlefield Ash begins to think about what he can do next as Leaf speaks.
"Sorry to break you out of your thought process Ash but here we come Talonflame Flame Charge!" Leaf calls Talonflame quickly covers its body in fire it flies forward and hits Corviknight causing damage and making the steel raven fly back a bit. Corviknight groans in pain but its recharge phase ends as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight use Air Slash!" Ash calls Corviknight roars its wings glow as it fires multiple slashes of wind at Talonflame. Leaf then calls for a command.
"Talonflame dodge use Swords Dance then Flame Charge!" Leaf calls Talonflame flies in the air easily evading all of the slashes of wind. Talonflame sharply raises its attack power covers its body in fire then flies at Corviknight going to hit it as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight use Protect!" "Talonflame stop!" Both trainers call Corviknight quickly summons a protective barrier getting ready to block Talonflames attack. But Talonflame stops right in front of Corviknights barrier surprising the raven and Ash. When Corviknights barrier starts to go down Talonflame opens its mouth as Leaf speaks.
"It's over Ash Talonflame use Fire Blast!" "Dodge Corviknight!" Both trainers call before Corviknight can move out of the way it's then consumed in fire making it cry out in pain. Talonflame fires the big blast of fire in point blank range. Everyone looks on as they see the move about to hit Ash's Corviknight Ash smirks as he calls for a command.
"Corviknight use Aerial Ace to back away!" Ash calls before the Fire Blast hits Corviknight manages to safely back away from the move surprising everyone as they see the Fire Blast hit the battlefield instead. Leaf has a surprised look on her face as she speaks.
"But how?" Leaf questions as Ash speaks.
"After battling Talonflame before I had a feeling, you'd do something like that again so in order to prepare I had Corviknight train with my fire types allowing it to dodge fire type moves at point blank range. You won't catch us by surprise with that tactic again" Ash says with Corviknight nodding, back in the stands AJ looks at Brock and speaks.
"Is that true?" AJ asks as Brock speaks.
"Yes, after having a training battle against Leaf's Talonflame Ash wanted to train Corviknight to quickly dodge surprise fire type moves so he had it train with not only his fire type Pokémon but also other Pokémon that can use fire type moves" Brock says with AJ nodding as Misty speaks.
"It's still not perfected as if Corviknight's not fast enough it'll still get hit but this time around Ash and Corviknight are making sure that doesn't happen" Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf's impressed by Ash's strategy, she smiles and speaks.
"Not bad Ash but you can't win if you keep dodging" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"You're right about that so from here on out it's an all-out battle Corviknight use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Corviknight quickly flies forward and hits Talonflame making the fire bird cough in pain it's knocked away as Leaf speaks.
"Talonflame counter with Flamethrower!" Leaf calls Talonflame stops itself it quickly fires the hot stream of fire at Corviknight as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight dodge then use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls Corviknight dodges the stream of fire by moving to the right. Corviknight then fires a steel beam of energy at Talonflame as Leaf speaks.
"Talonflame fly forward using Flame Charge then when you get close use Fire Blast!" Leaf calls Talonflame roars it covers its body in fire then flies forward easily cutting through the steel beam. As Talonflame's getting closer it opens its mouth getting ready to launch a Fire Blast as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight use Screech!" Ash calls before Talonflame fires the big blast of fire Corviknight lets out a loud screech which stops Talonflame in its tracks forcing it to cover its ears. Talonflame can feel its defense lower as Ash speaks.
"Now Brave Bird!" "Dodge Talonflame!" Both trainers call Corviknight suffers from burn damage but the steel bird pushes past it and lets out a mighty roar. Corviknight glows a shiny blue and flies at Talonflame. Talonflame's unable to dodge in time as Corviknight rams its head into Talonflames stomach. Talonflame coughs in pain as Corviknight pushes it back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Leaf calls out to it.
"Talonflame!" Leaf calls in worry up in the air Corviknight appears from the cloud of dust it flies in the air taking recoil damage and pants. When the dust cloud clears everyone can see Talonflame laying on its back knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Talonflame's unable to battle Corviknight's the winner!" The ref calls allowing Ash to cheer.
"Alright!" "Pika!" "Rio!" "Fro!" Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer while Corviknight lets out a loud "COR!" in victory. The crowd cheers and claps for them. Meanwhile back at Pallet Town Ash's Pokemon are happy that Corviknight won with Ash's flying types happily flying around while Leaf's Pokemon are sad that Talonflame lost. Back in the stadium Ash's friends cheer loud for Corviknight as Brock speaks.
"It was a good thing Ash called for Corviknight to use Screech otherwise Corviknight would've lost" Brock says with the others nodding. Meanwhile back on the battlefield Leaf's sad that Talonflame lost but smiles she returns it to its Pokeball and thanks it. Leaf then puts the ball back on her belt, she looks over at Ash and speaks.
"Not bad Ash I really thought that Talonflame was going to win" Leaf says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, and now we just have 4 more to go!" Ash says with Corviknight roaring Leaf smiles she pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"I like your confidence Ash, but I doubt Corviknight will beat this one Aurorus GO!" Leaf says she throws the ball high in the air as what appears is a large sauropod like Pokemon. It lands on the battlefield shaking it then lets out a mighty roar creating a big shock wave that blows Corviknight back a little bit. The shockwave tries pushing Ash back, but the boy stands his ground with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie holding on tightly. A few seconds later Aurorus stops roaring it glares at Corviknight then gets in a battle stance with Corviknight doing the same, Ash looks at the mon and takes out his Pokedex.
"Aurorus, the Tundra Pokémon. A Rock/Ice type and the evolved form of Amaura. When taken by fury, Aurorus sends out massive amounts of cold air, coating the surrounding area in ice." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"So, this is Amauras evolved form it's big" Ash says while looking at the mon. Back in the stands Misty speaks.
"It's so pretty" Misty says with Giselle and Jackie agreeing with her. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Leaf and speaks.
"I wasn't expecting your Amaura to evolve Leaf" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"After a lot of training my Amaura evolved into an Aurorus and has become a lot stronger" Leaf responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, I can definitely feel it's a lot stronger than before but that doesn't scare us let's keep going Corviknight!" Ash says with Corviknight roaring in agreement as Leaf speaks.
"Bring it Ash let's do this Aurorus!" Leaf says with the Tundra Pokemon nodding. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash makes the first move.
"Use Steel Wing!" Ash calls Corviknight covers its wings in steel energy then flies forward going to hit Aurorus as Leaf speaks.
"Use Ancient Power!" Leaf calls Aurorus roars it summons multiple rocks with purple energy and fires them at Corviknight. Corviknight easily flies through the rocks and is destroying them as Corviknight is getting closer to Aurorus Ash speaks.
"Now use Iron Head!" "Aurorus counter with your Iron Head!" Both trainers call both mons cover their heads in steel energy and collide. They begin pushing each other back and forth as they're doing so Aurorus overpowers Corviknight sending it crashing down to the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight!" Ash calls to the raven. Corviknight stands back up it groans in pain but is then consumed by flames suffering burn damage. When the flames disappear Corviknight begins to pant heavily as Ash begins to think.
"Thanks to the burn status Corviknight's not going to last much longer, and I can't have Corviknight fight against Aurorus head on I'll need to do it from a distance" Ash says to himself as he calls for his next command.
"Corviknight use Air Slash!" Ash calls Corviknight flies back in the air its wings glow then fires multiple slashes of wind. The slashes of wind head for Aurorus but don't hit the mon as they hit the battlefield around Aurorus creating a dust cloud. Aurorus looks around in the cloud of dust it then sees Corviknight flying towards it as Leaf speaks.
"Nice try Ash but using my own strategy against me won't work Aurorus use Iron Head!" Leaf calls Aurorus covers its head in steel energy as it waits for Corviknight to get closer Ash smirks and speaks.
"Sorry to tell you this Leaf but I'm turning your strategy into my own Corviknight stop then use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls surprising Leaf Corviknight quickly stops it covers its mouth with steel energy and fires it at Aurorus. Leaf's unable to tell Aurorus to dodge in time as the Flash Cannon hits Aurorus in the face causing super effective damage making Aurorus groan in pain. The dust cloud disappears Leaf looks at Aurorus and speaks.
"Aurorus are you okay?!" Leaf asks with the Tundra Pokemon nodding making Leaf smile she then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Not bad Ash" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, I knew it would be a bad idea to have Corviknight try to land a direct hit on Aurorus so I figured that it would be better to attack from a distance. I remembered the strategy you had Talonflame do to defeat Pyroar and decided to try it out but putting my own spin on it" Ash says with Leaf nodding some people in the crowd are impressed with Ash while Ash's friends smile. Back on the battlefield Leaf speaks.
"You really thought it through, but you'll need more than that to take down my Aurorus" Leaf says with Aurorus roaring in agreement as Ash speaks.
"Don't worry I know" Ash responds having a confident look on his face as Leaf speaks.
"Here we come Ash Aurorus use Ancient Power!" Leaf calls Aurorus roars it fires multiple rocks at Corviknight as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Corviknight then use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls Corviknight flies in the air easily dodging the Ancient Power. When it dodges all of them Corviknight fires the steel beam as Leaf speaks.
"Destroy it with Iron Head!" Leaf calls Aurorus covers its head in steel energy then swings it easily destroying the Flash Cannon. Aurorus then sees Corviknight flying towards it as Ash speaks.
"Now Iron Head!" "Use Ice Beam!" Both trainers call Corviknight covers its head in steel energy while Aurorus fires the ice beam. Corviknight collides with the beam and easily flies through it. Corviknight goes to hit Aurorus as Leaf speaks.
"Use Protect!" Leaf calls Aurorus quickly summons a protective barrier blocking Corviknights attack making the steel raven bounce away as Leaf calls for her next command.
"Now Thunder!" "Corviknight dodge!" Both trainers call Aurorus roars to the sky as it summons a large Thunder that heads for Corviknight. When Corviknight goes to dodge it's then consumed in flames suffering burn damage, the Thunder then crashes down on Corviknight making the steel raven cry out in pain as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight!" Ash calls in worry as then there's an explosion creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone sees Corviknight fall on the battlefield, Corviknight's laying on the ground knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Corviknight's unable to battle Aurorus is the winner!" The ref calls Leaf and Aurorus cheer in victory with the crowd cheering for them. Back in the stands Gisellle speaks.
"Aw Corviknight lost" Giselle says in a sad tone as Brock speaks.
"Unfortunately, Corviknight was going to lose anyway because it was already tired after its battle with Talonflame and from the burn damage" Brock says as Misty speaks.
"But even with all that Corviknight still did its best" Misty says with the group nodding. They look at the battlefield and see Ash pull out Corviknights Pokeball then speak.
"Corviknight return!" Ash says returning the steel raven he looks at the ball and speaks.
"Thanks, Corviknight you did great take a good rest" Ash says he puts the ball back on his belt he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Tyrunt I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as his Tyrunt appears. Tyrunt lets out a mighty roar then gets into a battle stance as it glares at Aurorus with Aurorus glaring back. Some of the people in the crowd are surprised by Ash's choice as Leaf speaks.
"So, you're sending in Tyrunt against my Aurorus are you sure this is a good idea? It did lose to Aurorus when it was still an Amaura" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"That was then this is now Tyrunt's gotten a lot stronger and will beat Aurorus!" Ash responds having a determined look on his face as Tyrunt roars in agreement Leaf nods and speaks.
"Okay Ash show me just how strong Tyrunt's gotten" Leaf says having a confident look on her face while Aurorus gets in a battle stance. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Leaf speaks.
"Use Ice Beam!" Leaf calls Aurorus fires the icy beam it goes to hit Tyrunt as Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt destroy it with Fire Fang!" Ash calls Tyrunt heats up its mouth and bites down on the icy beam easily destroying it as Leaf speaks.
"Aurorus use Earthquake!" "Tyrunt use Dragon Tail to jump in the air to dodge!" Both trainers call Aurorus stomps its foot on the battlefield causing it to shake. Tyrunt quickly covers its tail in dragon energy and slams it on the ground causing it to jump in the air dodging the Earthquake. When that happens Aurorus then appears in front of Tyrunt it gets its tail ready as Leaf speaks.
"Now Iron Head!" "Block with Brick Break Tyrunt!" Both trainers call Aurorus covers its head in steel energy and goes to hit Tyrunt. Tyrunt quickly covers its claws in white energy as it blocks the Iron head which sends it crashing on the ground creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"You okay Tyrunt?!" Ash calls Tyrunt appears from the dust cloud letting out a mighty roar making Ash smile as Leaf speaks.
"Okay let's try this Aurorus use Ancient Power!" Leaf calls Aurorus roars it summons multiple rocks with purple energy and fires them at Tyrunt as Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt counter with your Ancient Power!" Ash calls Tyrunt roars it summons multiple rocks with purple energy and shoots them forward. Both Ancient Powers collide causing multiple explosions creating a dust cloud. Out of the dust cloud comes Tyrunt it jumped high in the air reaching Aurorus's face it gets its claws ready as Ash speaks.
"Now Brick Break!" "Aurorus use Protect then Iron Head!" Both trainers call Tyrunts claws glow white it goes to hit Aurorus but the mon quickly summons a protective barrier blocking Tyrunts attack. Tyrunt is then bounced away Aurorus goes after Tyrunt, it covers its head in steel energy and swings it down hard on Tyrunts head sending it crashing back down on the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt!" Ash calls in worry he looks at the battlefield and sees Tyrunt groaning in pain. Tyrunt manages to stand up it can still battle but that Iron Head did hurt as Ash begins to think.
"Aurorus is both defensive and offensive how can I get Tyrunt to land a hit?" Ash thinks to himself as he's thinking he looks at Aurorus's tail and gets an idea. Ash then looks at Tyrunt and speaks.
"Tyrunt I just thought of a way for you to land a hit on Aurorus it'll be risky but I'm confident that you can do it!" Ash says with Tyrunt nodding as Leaf speaks.
"I don't know what kind of idea you thought of Ash, but it won't work. Aurorus use Ice Beam!" Leaf calls Aurorus quickly fires the icy beam it goes to hit Tyrunt as Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt dodge to the right use Dragon Dance then run forward!" Ash calls Tyrunt jumps to the right easily dodging the icy beam. Tyrunt roars as it increases its attack/speed, Tyrunt then runs forward heading for Aurorus as Leaf speaks.
"Aurorus use Earthquake!" "Jump Tyrunt then use Stone Edge!" Both trainers call Aurorus stomps on the battlefield causing the battlefield to shake, Tyrunt quickly jumps in the air dodging the Earthquake. Tyrunt lets out a mighty roar it fires multiple sharp stones at Aurorus as Leaf speaks.
"Use Protect!" Leaf calls Aurorus quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the attack, Tyrunt then lands on the battlefield it continues to run forward heading for Aurorus as Leaf speaks.
"Aurorus use Iron Tail!" "Dodge Tyrunt!" Both trainers call Aurorus roars as it covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Tyrunt. Tyrunt quickly falls on its back narrowly dodging the Iron Tail as it was just inches away from hitting Tyrunt, Tyrunt quickly stands back up it then jumps forward heading for Aurorius's tail as Ash speaks.
"Now use Crunch!" Ash calls before Leaf can make a command Tyrunt successfully bites down on Aurorus's tail causing some damage to it. Leaf isn't worried as she calls for her next command.
"Aurorus slam Tyrunt back on the battlefield with your tail!" "I don't think so Tyrunt use Fire Fang!" Both trainers call before Aurorus can slam Tyrunt back on the battlefield the little T-Rex heats up its mouth and starts burning Aurorus's tail. Aurorus groans in pain as the fire then travels from Aurorus's tail and begins to burn Aurorus's body making the mon cry out in pain surprising Leaf while Ash smiles. Back in the stands Brock speaks.
"I see Ash knew that having Tyrunt battle Aurorus directly would be pointless, so he had Tyrunt go for Aurorus's tail landing a hit with Crunch and burning it with Fire Fang which allowed the fire to cover Aurorus's body in flames" Brock says as Ritchie speaks.
"Not only that but thanks to Tyrunts Strong Jaw ability and Ash having Tyrunt use Dragon Dance to raise Tyrunts attack power it'll deal great damage to Aurorus" Ritchie says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Aurorus continues to roar in pain as Ash speaks.
"That's it Tyrunt keep biting!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie. Tyrunt nods it begins to bite harder on Aurorus's tail with Fire Fang making the mon continue to cry out in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Aurorus use Hyper Voice!" Leaf calls Aurorus nods it looks at Tyrunt and lets out an ear-piercing sound hurting Tyrunts ears and causing super effective damage. This makes Tyrunt let go of Aurorus's tail landing back on the ground groaning in pain. Back in the stands AJ speaks.
"Looks like Leaf managed to make Tyrunt let go of Aurorus's tail" AJ says as Brock speaks.
"Not only that but thanks to Aurorus's ability Refrigerate that Hyper Voice turned into an ice type move that caused super effective damage to Tyrunt" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield the flames that consumed Aurorus disappear, once they're gone Aurorus groans in pain and pants a little bit as Leaf speaks.
"Are you okay Aurorus?!" Leaf asks with Aurorus nodding. Suddenly Aurorus bursts into flames again making the mon cry out in pain surprising Leaf as Ash speaks.
"Yes, it worked!" Ash says happily as Leaf looks at him.
"You mean this was your plan?" Leaf asks with Ash nodding.
"Yep, I knew eventually Aurorus would manage to make Tyrunt let go of its tail so I made sure Tyrunt held on tightly to Aurorus's tail with Fire Fang so it could gain the burn status which will cause burn damage overtime" Ash responds with Leaf nodding as she speaks.
"Wow Ash you really thought this through" Leaf says making Ash smile. Leaf then gets a serious look on her face and speaks.
"In that case we'll need to end this quickly Aurorus use Aurora Beam!" Leaf calls Aurorus fires a rainbow-colored beam at Tyrunt as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Tyrunt then use Stone Edge!" Ash calls Tyrunt jumps to the right dodging the beam. Tyrunt lets out a mighty roar it fires multiple sharp stones at Aurorus as Leaf speaks.
"Destroy them with Iron Tail!" Leaf calls Aurorus covers its tail in steel energy and destroys the sharp stones. When it does Tyrunt appears in front of Aurorus having its claws ready as Ash speaks.
"Use Brick Break!" "Aurorus use Protect!" Both trainers call before Aurorus can summon the protective barrier it's then consumed in fire making it cry out in pain. Tyrunt's right claw glows white as it chops down hard on Aurorus's head causing super effective damage. Aurorus groans in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Knock it down with your tail!" Leaf calls Aurorus quickly hits Tyrunt with its tail making it crash back down on the battlefield. Tyrunt groans in pain it then looks at Aurorus and sees it charging up an Ice Beam as Leaf speaks.
"Now Ice Beam!" "Dodge Tyrunt!" Both trainers call Aurorus fires the icy beam Tyrunt's unable to dodge in time as the beam hits it. Tyrunt cries out in pain as the beam then begins to cover Tyrunt in ice, a few seconds later Tyrunt is completely frozen. Ash gets a shocked look on his face while Leaf smiles, back in the stands Brock speaks.
"This is bad now that Tyrunt's frozen it's just a sitting duck Ash needs to get it out of their fast" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at the frozen Tyrunt and speaks.
"Tyrunt use Fire Fang to break out of there!" Ash calls but gets no response. Ash calls for Tyrunt to use Fire Fang again but still doesn't get a response surprising him as Leaf speaks.
"Looks like Tyrunt can't move in there and now it's time to defeat it. Aurorus use Earthquake!" Leaf calls Aurorus nods it lifts its right foot and goes to step on the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt quick break out of the ice!" Ash calls but still doesn't get a response. Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie and Ash's Pokemon at Oak's ranch cheer on Tyrunt hoping that it breaks out, but it still doesn't. As Aurorus's foot is getting closer to the ground we head inside Tyrunts mind. While frozen Tyrunt regains a memory of when it was alive back in prehistoric time. Tyrunt remembers being with its parents they were trying to pass through a blizzard. Tyrunt's parents were easily walking through it while Tyrunt was having difficulty, Tyrunt kept walking trying to keep up with its parents, but it eventually lost sight of them. Tyrunt tried calling out to its parents, but they couldn't hear it, the blizzard started to grow stronger Tyrunt tries to push through it but can't as it becomes completely frozen. Tyrunt comes out of its memory the situation it's in now feels exactly how it did back then with Tyrunt being unable to move. Tyrunt is about to give up, but it then starts to hear Ash's voice getting louder calling to it. Tyrunt begins to remember its time with Ash and his Pokemon always training and playing together. Tyrunt remembers that winning this battle is important to its trainer as it then begins to struggle trying to break out of the ice. Ash looks at the frozen Tyrunt he sees it struggling to break out as Ash begins to speak.
"That's it Tyrunt break out of that ice I know you can do it!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie as Leaf speaks.
"Sorry Ash but that's not happening Stomp on the ground Aurorus!" Leaf calls Aurorus nods as its foot is just inches away from touching the ground Ash yells.
"COME ON TYRUNT I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT! NOW BREAK OUT OF THAT ICE TYRUNTTTTTT!" Ash yells along with Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie and his other Pokemon on his belt. Ash's Pokemon back at Oak's lab cheer for Tyrunt too. Back on the battlefield Tyrunt hears their cheers, it doesn't want to lose it wants to keep growing stronger and help its trainer win the league. Tyrunt won't let this be the end, it'll break out of this ice and win the battle for its trainer. Tyrunt lets out a mighty roar as it glows a bright light surprising everyone and blinding Aurorus making it stop as Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt's evolving!" Ash says happily. Everyone looks at Tyrunt they see it break out of the ice and starts getting bigger. Tyrunts body begins to change its skin tone becomes a brownish red, it has some rigids on its body, gains a white feathery ruff around its neck and extends over its shoulders. Tyrunts tail along with its jaw become bigger. Tyrunt continues to get bigger until it's as big as Aurorus and also gets a white beard on its lower jaw. When the evolution stops what was once a Tyrunt is now a Tyrantrum, it lets out a massive roar causing the entire stadium to shake. It creates a big shockwave making a strong wind that almost blows Leaf away, but Aurorus quickly gets in the way blocking it. Everyone in the league can hear Tyrantums roar the roar also causes some of the nearby flying Pokemon to fly away. A few seconds later Tyrantrum stops roaring as it then glares at Aurorus with Aurorus glaring back. Everyone has shocked looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Tyrantrum you evolved congrats!" Ash says happily Tyrantrum then looks at Ash glaring at him. Ash gets a worried expression on his face as Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie quickly get into battle stances. Tyrantrum continues to glare at them until it smiles making Ash smile too as Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie get out of their battle stances and smile back. Ash looks at Tyrantrum and speaks.
"Looks like you're still you" Ash says with Tyrantrum nodding as Ash speaks.
"Well in that case let's win this battle!" Ash says with Tyrantrum roaring in agreement as it looks back at Aurorus. Leaf has a surprised look on her face, but she quickly shakes her head recomposing herself and quickly calls for a command.
"Aurorus use Blizzard!" Leaf calls Aurorus roars it summons a massive blizzard it heads for Tyrantrum as Ash speaks.
"Use Fire Fang!" Ash calls Tyrantrum covers its mouth with fire and bites down on the Blizzard easily destroying it. Leaf and Aurorus along with everyone else are surprised by Tyrantrums power as Ash speaks.
"Amazing Tyrantrum!" Ash cheers with Tyrantrum roaring as Leaf speaks.
"We're not done yet Aurorus use Earth Power!" Leaf calls Aurorus roars it stomps on the battlefield creating a large crack that heads for Tyrantrum as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Tyrantrum then run forward!" Ash calls Tyrantrum moves to the right dodging the Earth Power it then runs forward heading for Aurorus as Leaf speaks.
"Aurorus use Thunder Wave!" "Dodge Tyrantrum then use Crunch!" Both trainers call Aurorus roars it fires multiple electricity rings at Tyrantrum, but Tyrantrum moves to the right dodging the move and getting on Aurorus's right side. Tyrantrum covers its teeth in dark energy shoots forward and bites down hard on Aurorus's neck causing major damage to the Tundra Pokemon as Ash speaks.
"Now slam it on the ground!" Ash calls Tyrantrum continues to bite Aurorus's neck it lifts up the Tundra Pokemon then slams it back down hard on the battlefield making Aurorus land on its back. Tyrantrum then falls towards Aurorus it has its teeth ready as Ash speaks.
"Now use Fire Fang!" "Aurorus use Iron Tail!" Both trainers call Tyrantrum heats up its mouth it goes to bite Aurorus, but Aurorus quickly covers its tail in steel energy spins around and slaps Tyrantrum across the face making it fly away. Tyrantrum falls on Ash's side of the battlefield creating a big dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Are you okay Tyrantrum?!" Ash calls Tyrantrum quickly stands back up it lets out a mighty roar getting rid of the dust. Tyrantrum starts to pant, it looks forward seeing Aurorus stand back up, it suffers from burn damage and begins to pant too as Leaf speaks.
"Looks like both of our Pokemon are tired so I'm ending this Aurorus use Hyper Beam!" Leaf calls Aurorus roars it creates a large orange ball that turns into an ice ball. Aurorus then fires the icy beam it heads for Tyrantrum as Ash speaks.
"Tyrantrum it's time to show off your new move use Head Smash!" Ash calls Tyrantrum lets out a mighty roar its body glows blue then runs forward. Tyrantrum then collides with the Icy Beam. The beam tries to push Tyrantrum back, but Tyrantrum roars as it continues running forward easily bypassing the icy beam. Tyrantrum keeps running until it makes it to Aurorus shocking the Tundra Pokemon and Leaf as Ash speaks.
"Now hit it Tyrantrum!" "Aurorus use Thunder Wave!" Both trainers call Aurorus quickly lets out a mighty roar firing rings of electricity at Tyrantrum that connect with the T-Rex. Tyrantrum doesn't care it lets out a mighty roar and hits Aurorus. Aurorus is then sent flying. It goes pass Leaf crashing into the wall behind her, Aurorus falls on the ground as Leaf turns to it and speaks.
"AURORUS!" Leaf calls out to the mon but can see that it's knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Aurorus is unable to battle Tyrantrum's the winner!" The ref calls Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer while Tyrantrum roars in victory Ash looks at the T-Rex and speaks.
"Great job Tyrantrum I knew you could do it!" Ash says smiling with Tyrantrum smiling back. The crowd lets out a loud cheer too, back in Pallet Town Ash's Pokemon cheer with Gabite, Noivern, Flygon and Dratini cheering the loudest happy that Tyrantrum won and evolved. Back in the stadium Ash's friends cheer loud for him as Joe speaks.
"I didn't expect his Tyrunt to evolve" Joe says as Brock speaks.
"All that training it did with Ash's Pokemon and its desire to win Ash the battle were the reasons as to why Tyrunt evolved" Brock says with Joe nodding. Misty, Giselle, Jackie, AJ and Ritchie cheer loudly for Ash while Harrison stays quiet and smiles. Back on the battlefield Tyrantrum walks over to Ash as the boy looks at it and speaks.
"You were amazing Tyrantrum!" Ash says with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie agreeing. Tyrantrum smiles then happily licks the 4 of them leaving them covered in slime causing the crowd to laugh. Meanwhile on the other side of the battlefield Leaf is sad that Aurorus lost but smiles she pulls out the mons Pokeball and speaks.
"Aurorus return" Leaf says returning the mon to its Pokeball, Leaf tells Aurorus thank you and to get a good rest. Leaf puts the ball back on her belt, she looks forward and speaks.
"Well Ash I wasn't expecting your Tyrunt to evolved but I guess I should've seen it coming" Leaf says with Ash nodding as Leaf continues to speak.
"But it's not over yet! Poliwrath Go!" Leaf says she throws the ball forward as Poliwrath comes back out. It groans in pain from the damage it got from Corviknight but can still battle. Poliwrath looks forward getting in a battle stance, Ash then looks at Tyrantrum and speaks.
"I know you're tired, but can you still battle Tyrantrum?" Ash asks with Tyrantrum nodding as it looks at Poliwrath. Tyrantrum then feels the recoil damage it got from the Head Smash but shakes it off and gets in a battle stance. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash makes the first move.
"Tyrantrum use Stone Edge!" Ash calls Tyrantrum roars it fires multiple sharp stones at Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Bulk Up run forward then use Close Combat!" Leaf calls Poliwrath bulks up its body increasing its attack/defense. Poliwrath runs forward and begins punching the Stone Edge, easily destroying them. Poliwrath destroys one more stone edge until it's under Tyrantrums chin it clinches its right fist as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Drain Punch!" "Tyrantrum use Thunder Fang!" Both trainers call Poliwraths right fist glows it jumps upward heading for Tyrantrums chin. Tyrantrum's unable to use Thunder Fang as it feels electricity from its body paralyzing making Ash grit his teeth. Poliwrath then punches Tyrantrums chin causing super effective damage. Tyrantrum groans in pain and can feel its energy being drained. Poliwrath then grabs Tyrantrums chin as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Submission!" Leaf calls Poliwrath holds Tyrantrum tightly it pulls Tyrantrum down then lifts it back in the air. Poliwrath then slams Tyrantrum back down on the battlefield causing it to shake and super effective damage. Tyrantrum groans in pain while laying on its stomach, Poliwrath lands back on the battlefield it receives some recoil damage but is fine it then takes a deep breath as Leaf speaks.
"Now Hydro Pump!" "Tyrantrum dodge!" Both trainers call Poliwrath fires a big Hydro Pump that heads for Tyrantrum. Tyrantrum's unable to dodge thanks to the paralysis and being too tired. The Hydro Pump then consumes Tyrantrum making it go pass Ash until it crashes into the wall behind him. Ash looks back at Tyrantrum and speaks.
"Tyrantrum!" Ash calls he looks at Tyrantrum the T-Rex falls on the ground and has no intention to continue as the ref speaks.
"Tyrantrum's unable to battle Poliwrath's the winner!" The ref calls Leaf and Poliwrath cheer in victory. The crowd claps for them, back at Pallet Town Leaf's Pokemon are happy that Poliwrath won. Back to the stadium in the stands Giselle speaks.
"Aw Tyrantrum lost" Giselle says in a sad tone as Misty speaks.
"Tyrantrum after its battle with Aurorus was really tired and the paralysis limited its movements. But overall, it did great and deserves a rest" Misty says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash pulls out Tyrantrum's Pokeball and speaks.
"Tyrantrum return" Ash says returning the T-Rex it goes back in its Pokeball Ash looks at the Pokeball and speaks.
"Thank you, Tyrantrum you did great take a good rest," Ash says he then puts the ball back on his belt. Ash grabs another Pokeball he throws it and speaks.
"Ninetales I choose you!" Ash says as his Alolan Ninetales appears. The ice fox lands on the battlefield it looks at Poliwrath instantly gets in a battle stance and begins to growl with Poliwrath glaring at it as Leaf speaks.
"So, Ninetales is next" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"Yep, and it'll beat your Poliwrath let's do this Ninetales!" Ash says with Ninetales nodding. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash makes the first move.
"Ninetales Moonblast!" Ash calls Ninetales summons a pink orb of fairy energy and fires it at Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath punch it back with Poison Jab!" Leaf calls Poliwrath covers its fists in poison and punches the Moonblast sending it back at Ninetales as Ash speaks.
"Knock it away with Iron Tail!" Ash calls Ninetales covers its tails in steel energy and knocks the Moonblast away. Poliwrath then appears in front of Ninetales it has its left fist ready as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Poison Jab!" "Ninetales back away then use Zen Headbutt!" Both trainers call Poliwrath covers its left fist in poison and goes to hit Ninetales. Ninetales quickly backs away making Poliwrath punch the battlefield, Ninetales then covers its head in psychic energy and shoots forward going to hit Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Block Poliwrath!" Leaf calls Poliwrath quickly brings up its arms and successfully blocks Ninetales's attack. Ninetales pushes Poliwrath away making it slide back a few feet as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath takes a deep breath and fires the big stream of water at Ninetales as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales jump in the air to dodge!" Ash calls Ninetales jumps high in the air dodging the stream of water. When it does Poliwrath jumps after it as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Dynamic Punch!" Leaf calls both of Poliwraths fist glow it goes to punch Ninetales as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales use Dazzling Gleam!" Ash calls Ninetales creates a shiny light of fairy energy that hits Poliwrath causing super effective damage and knocking it back on the ground laying on its back. Poliwrath groans in pain, it then opens its eyes and sees Ninetales falling towards it as Ash speaks.
"Now use Quick Attack and Zen Headbutt!" Ash calls Ninetales covers its head in psychic energy then speeds up going faster. When Ninetales is just inches away from hitting Poliwrath Leaf makes a command.
"Poliwrath use Substitute!" Leaf calls surprising Ash. The real Poliwrath disappears as Ninetales hits a clone instead creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears Ninetales begins to look for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Drain Punch then Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath quickly shoots forward it punches Ninetales across the face with Drain Punch causing damage and taking some of the ice foxes' energy. Poliwrath then quickly fires a large stream of water that consumes Ninetales pushing it away making it fall below Ash's feet as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales!" Ash calls in worry as Ninetales stands back up it groans in pain but can still battle. Ninetales then glares at Poliwrath with Poliwrath glaring back. Ash then looks at Leaf and speaks.
"I didn't know your Poliwrath learned Substitute" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"It just learned it recently after watching your Raichu and Tinkaton use it I felt it could give Poliwrath a way to avoid Pokémon attacks. And if you combine it with Drain Punch which heals the damage Poliwrath gets from losing health after using the move it's the ultimate strategy" Leaf says with Poliwrath nodding as Ash speaks.
"I see will we still have a few strategies of our own Ninetales use Hail then Aurora Veil!" Ash calls Ninetales roars to the sky creating a hailstorm. The hail hits Poliwrath causing some damage to the tadpole. Ninetales creates a veil that reduces attack/special attack moves, Ninetales then activates its Snow Cloak ability as it then hides in the hailstorm. Leaf isn't fazed as she speaks.
"If you think this is going to work on me Ash then you thought wrong Poliwrath use Rain Dance!" Leaf calls Poliwrath roars to the sky summoning the rain. It gets rid of the hail clearing the field, Leaf looks forward and doesn't see Ninetales she sees a hole that's been Dugged up and speaks.
"Poliwrath Ninetales is hiding in that hole use Hydro Pump inside it!" Leaf calls Poliwrath nods its Swift Swim ability activates allowing it to reach the hole instantly. Poliwrath takes a deep breath and fires the large stream of water down into the hole. When it does the Hydro Pump appears out of the ground but with no signs of Ninetales surprising Leaf as she speaks.
"What?! where's Ninetales?" Leaf questions as she along with Poliwrath begin looking for the ice fox Ash smiles and speaks.
"Ninetales use Zen Headbutt!" Ash calls when he does Ninetales shoots down quickly from the sky and hits its head on Poliwraths head causing super effective damage and making the Tadpole fall on the battlefield while Ninetales jumps away landing a few feet back. Leaf has a surprised look on her face as she speaks.
"Poliwrath are you okay?!" Leaf asks Poliwrath stands back up it nods but groans in pain Leaf then looks at Ash and speaks.
"I get it now after Ninetales hid in the Hail you had it dig up a hole making me think that it used dig, but instead had it jump in the air using Quick Attack. After that when I commanded Poliwrath to use Rain Dance you waited for your chance and had Ninetales use Zen Headbutt when we were looking for it." Leaf says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, exactly I knew you'd instantly get rid of the Hail with Rain Dance, so I had to create a new strategy to catch you off guard" Ash responds with Leaf nodding she smiles as Ash smiles back. Back in the stands Joe speaks.
"Ash continues to come up with crazy strategies I never would've thought of that" Joe says as Brock speaks.
"It's probably because of how well Ash knows Leaf he knew that she would've gotten rid of the Hail and had to think of a counter for when she did" Brock says with Joe nodding as Misty speaks.
"Leaf also knows Ash really well too and his crazy strategies, so she thought of ways to counter them too" Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf looks at Poliwrath and begins to think.
"From the looks of things Poliwrath won't last much longer I'll need to end this fast" Leaf says to herself as she calls for her next move.
"Poliwrath use Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath fires a big Hydro Pump it goes to hit Ninetales as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales counter with Ice Beam!" Ash calls Ninetales fires the icy beam and collides with the Hydro pump creating an explosion. Poliwrath then appears in front of Ninetales as Leaf speaks.
"Now Liquidation!" Leaf calls Poliwrath covers its fists in water and goes to hit Ninetales as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales grab Poliwraths fists with your tails!" Ash calls Ninetales quickly wraps her tails around Poliwraths fist stopping it in its tracks. Poliwrath tries pushing forward but Ninetales isn't letting it as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Waterfall!" "Ninetales back away!" Both trainers call before Ninetales can back away Poliwrath covers its body in water and shoots forward hitting Ninetales making the ice fox skid a few feet back. Ninetales groans in pain then sees Poliwrath in front of it having its fists ready as Leaf speaks.
"Now end it with Poison Jab!" Leaf calls as Poliwrath goes to hit Ninetales Ash calls for a command.
"Ninetales Blizzard!" Ash calls Ninetales lets out a mighty roar summoning a large Blizzard that freezes the falling rain and stopping Poliwrath in its tracks. Poliwrath tries pushing through the Blizzard but is unable to as it then becomes frozen solid shocking Leaf as Ash calls for his next command.
"Now Ninetales finish it off with Moonblast!" Ash calls Ninetales roars it creates a big Moonblast and fires it at the frozen Poliwrath. The Moonblast hits Poliwrath creating an explosion, the Rain Dance goes away as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath!" Leaf calls out to the mon when the smoke clears everyone can see Poliwrath laying on its back knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Poliwrath's unable to battle Ninetales is the winner!" The ref calls Ash, Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie and Ninetales let out a loud cheer in victory. The crowd cheers too, Leaf returns Poliwrath telling it thank you and to get a good rest. Leaf pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Go! Meowscarda!" Leaf says she throws the ball forward as her Meowscarda appears it has a smile on its face and gets into a battle stance as Ash speaks.
"Meowscarda's back in let's do this Ninetales!" Ash says with Ninetales nodding it looks at Meowscarda and begins to growl at it with Meowscarda being unfazed. Back in the stands Jackie speaks.
"Now it's a battle between Meowscarda and Ninetales" Jackie says as Brock speaks.
"Even though Ash has the type advantage he still needs to be careful with Meowscarda as it's a very tricky Pokemon" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash makes the first move.
"Ninetales Ice Beam!" Ash calls Ninetales fires the icy beam as Leaf speaks.
"How obvious counter with Aura Sphere!" Leaf calls Meowscarda becomes a fighting type it puts its hands together creating a blue ball of aura and fires it at the Ice Beam. The two moves collide the ice beam tries to push the Aura Sphere back, but the Aura Sphere begins to easily cut through the icy beam. As the Aura Sphere is about to hit Ninetales Ash speaks.
"Ninetales jump in the air to dodge!" Ash calls Ninetales quickly jumps in the air dodging the Aura Sphere as Leaf speaks.
"Meowscarda make the Aura Sphere go up!" Leaf calls Meowscarda holds out its hand sending out aura which connects with the Aura Sphere making the ball go upward going after Ninetales. Ash and Ninetales have surprised looks on their faces as the Aura Sphere hits Ninetales creating an explosion making the icy fox fly in the air more as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales look out!" Ash calls Ninetales looks forward and sees Meowscarda in front of it as Leaf speaks.
"Use Low Kick!" Leaf calls before Ash can make a command Meowscarda kicks Ninetales across the face sending it crashing back down on the battlefield laying on its stomach. Ninetales groans in pain but stands back up it looks at Meowscarda and opens its mouth as Ash speaks.
"Use Blizzard!" "Meowscarda use Flower Gift!" Both trainers call before Ninetales can fire the icy storm suddenly a spotlight appears surprising both Ash and the ice fox while Meowscarda turns back into a grass type. Suddenly a bouquet of flowers falls on Ninetales's head creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales!" Ash calls out to the ice fox. When the smoke clears Ninetales is still standing but groaning in pain. Meowscarda lands back on the battlefield then begins running towards Ninetales as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales use Dazzling Gleam!" Ash calls Ninetales shines brightly as it fires a big wave of fairy energy. Meowscarda isn't fazed it continues running as Leaf speaks.
"Meowscarda use Play Rough to run through the Dazzling Gleam!" Leaf calls Meowscarda turns into a fairy type and enters the Dazzling Gleam. Meowscarda continues to run inside the light until it reaches Ninetales, Meowscarda goes to punch Ninetales as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales grab Meowscarda with your tails!" "Dodge Meowscarda grab one of Ninetales's tails and slam it on the ground!" Both trainers call Ninetales goes to grab Meowscarda with its tails, but the magician jumps in the air dodging all 9 of Ninetales's tails. Meowscarda then uses its left hand to grab one of the ice fox's tails lifts it up and slams Ninetales hard on the battlefield making it land on its stomach. Ninetales groans in pain it then looks up and sees Meowscarda forming an Aura Sphere with its right hand as Leaf speaks.
"Now end it with Aura Sphere!" "Ninetales Moonblast!" Both trainers call Ninetales's unable to fire the Moonblast in time as Meowscarda turns into a fighting type and slams the Aura Sphere on Ninetales's head creating an explosion as Ash yells.
"Ninetales!" Ash calls out in worry. Meowscarda appears out of the explosion landing back on Leaf's side on the battlefield having a satisfied look on its face. When the smoke clears everyone looks at Ninetales they see that the ice fox is knocked out having no intention to continue as the ref speaks.
"Ninetales is unable to battle Meowscarda is the winner!" The ref calls Leaf and Meowscarda cheer in victory while Ash is surprised that Ninetales lost. Back in the stands Misty speaks.
"I can't believe Ninetales lost without landing a single hit" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Meowscarda was too nimble for Ninetales making it hard for it to counter and even when it got the chance to attack Meowscarda was faster" Brock says with the others nodding. Back at Oak's ranch Ash's Pokémon are sad that Ninetales lost especially Arcanine, Lycanroc, Glalie and Darumaka. Back on the battlefield Ash returns Ninetales back to its Pokeball he looks at the ball and speaks.
"Thank you Ninetales you did your best" Ash says he puts the ball back on his belt he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Hawlucha I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as Hawlucha appears it does a quick pose then glares at Meowscarda with Meowscarda looking at it. Back in the stands Jackie speaks.
"Looks like Hawlucha and Meowscarda are going to battle again" Jackie says the group nod they continue to look at the battlefield as Leaf speaks.
"Let's do this Meowscarda just two more and we win!" Leaf cheers with Meowscarda nodding as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha let's get revenge for Ninetales!" Ash says with Hawlucha nodding it gets in a battle stance along with Meowscarda. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash and Leaf speak.
"Hawlucha use Acrobatics!" "Meowscarda counter with Thunder Punch!" Both trainers call Hawlucha glows blue then shoots forward. Meowscarda turns into an electric type covers its fists in electricity and shoots forward. The two mons then collide, they begin pushing each other back and forth trying to see who's stronger. Meowscarda then goes to punch Hawlucha with its left fist as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Hawlucha then use High Jump Kick!" "Meowscarda block!" Both trainers call Hawlucha quickly jumps backwards dodging Meowscarda's left fist. Hawluchas left leg glows red it goes to kick Meowscarda, but the magician quickly brings up its arms blocking Hawluchas attack. Meowscarda then slides back a few feet but then stops, Meowscarda looks at Hawlucha and smiles. The lucha bird lands back on the battlefield waiting for Ash's next command as Ash begins to think.
"Meowscarda's fast and Nimble. Its Protein ability is also a challenge to deal with too. How can I get Hawlucha to land a hit?" Ash thinks to himself as he's thinking Leaf speaks.
"If you're not going to attack Ash then we will Meowscarda use Dark Pulse!" Leaf calls Meowscarda turns into a dark type and fires the stream of dark energy at Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha destroy it with Brick Break!" Ash calls Hawlucha's right fist glows white as it chops down cutting the Dark Pulse in half. Hawlucha then looks over at Meowscarda it has its hands formed together creating an Aura Sphere as Leaf speaks.
"Now Aura Sphere!" Leaf calls Meowscarda turns into a fighting type and fires the Aura Sphere as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha knock it away!" "Meowscarda make the Aura Sphere go up!" Both trainers call when Hawlucha goes to hit the Aura Sphere Meowscarda controls the ball of fighting energy sending it upward making Hawlucha miss as Leaf speaks.
"Now send it back down!" Leaf calls Meowscarda points down as the Aura Sphere comes crashing down on Hawluchas head creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha!" Ash calls in worry Hawlucha appears from the explosion falling back on the battlefield landing on its back it groans in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Now Play Rough!" Leaf calls Meowscarda turns into a fairy type then jumps forward reaching Hawlucha instantly. As Meowscarda's going to hit the lucha bird Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use Acrobatics to back away!" Ash calls Hawlucha glows blue as it quickly slides backwards dodging Meowscardas attack making the magician punch the battlefield instead. When Hawlucha gets to a safe distance it stands back up and shoots forward as Ash speaks.
"Now use Acrobatics again!" Ash calls before Leaf can make a command Hawlucha begins to hit Meowscarda back and forth causing some damage to it. Hawlucha hits Meowscarda one more time making it slide back, Meowscarda stops itself it looks at Hawlucha and smiles still ready to continue as Ash begins to think.
"Darn even though we landed a hit Hawluchas attack didn't do much because Meowscarda changed into a fairy type. Wait now that I think about it Meowscarda always changes its typing depending on the moves it uses maybe I can use this to my advantage" Ash says to himself he looks at Hawlucha and speaks.
"Hang in there Hawlucha!" Ash says with the lucha bird nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Looks like you thought of something Ash I'm not sure what it could be, but I won't let you get the chance to do it. Meowscarda use Hone Claws then Thunder Punch!" Leaf calls Meowscarda roars increasing its attack/accuracy it turns into an electric type covers both of its fist with electricity and shoots forward as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use Swords Dance and counter with High Jump Kick!" Ash calls Hawlucha sharply increases its attack power, covers both legs in red energy and shoots forward. Meowscarda and Hawlucha collide with their right fist and left knee respectively. The two mons begin pushing each other back and forth, Meowscarda goes to punch Hawlucha with its left fist but Hawlucha blocks it with its right knee. Hawlucha then goes to hit Meowscarda with its left leg, but Meowscarda blocks it with its right forearm. The two mons begin to parry each other's attacks trying to hit their opponent but to no avail. They collide one more time as they then back away from each other with Meowscarda sliding back and Hawlucha flying in the air as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use Flying Press!" Ash calls Hawlucha spreads out its arms showcasing its chest the lucha bird starts spinning downward and glows in red energy. Hawlucha then spreads out its arms showcasing its chest and goes to hit Meowscarda as Leaf speaks.
"Use Disarming Voice!" "Hawlucha dodge!" Both trainers call Meowscarda turns into a fairy type and lets out a charming sound. Hawlucha narrowly dodges by landing back on the ground under Meowscarda as Ash speaks.
"Now High Jump Kick!" Ash calls Hawluchas left leg glows bright red as it jumps upward and knees Meowscardas chin. Meowscarda then flies backwards landing on its back as Leaf speaks.
"Meowscarda!" Leaf calls in worry, but the magician stands back up and glares at Hawlucha who lands on the ground as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha run forward!" Ash calls Hawlucha begins running towards Meowscarda as Leaf speaks.
"Meowscarda use Thunder Punch!" "Hawlucha slide under Meowscarda!" Both trainers call Meowscarda turns into an electric type covers its fists in electricity and goes to punch Hawlucha. But Hawlucha quickly slides under Meowscarda dodging the attack getting behind it as Leaf speaks.
"Meowscarda use Play Rough!" "Jump Hawlucha!" Both trainers call Meowscarda quickly turns into a fairy type turns around and heads for Hawlucha. Hawlucha quickly jumps in the air dodging Meowscardas attack making the magician fall on the ground as Ash speaks.
"Now use Sky Attack!" Ash calls up in the air Hawlucha glows in a golden aura and begins charging the move as Leaf speaks.
"You just made a mistake Ash Meowscarda use Thunder Punch!" Leaf calls Meowscarda turns into an electric type covering its fists in electricity then jumps in the air heading for Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Actually, Leaf you're wrong Hawlucha dodge then use High Jump Kick!" Ash calls Hawlucha stops charging the Sky Attack and dodges the Thunder Punch. Hawluchas right leg glows red as it kicks Meowscarda in the stomach knocking it back down on the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"Now use Acrobatics!" Ash calls Hawlucha glows a bright blue and quickly descends heading for Meowscarda as Leaf speaks.
"Use Dark Pulse!" Leaf calls Meowscarda turns into a dark type and fires the stream of dark energy. As it's about to collide with Hawlucha Ash smirks and speaks.
"Sorry to tell you this Leaf but you just made a mistake Hawlucha use X Scissor!" Ash calls surprising Leaf as Hawlucha forms its arms into an X shape and spins colliding with Dark Pulse. Hawlucha begins to easily cut through getting closer to Meowscarda as Leaf speaks.
"Meowscarda use Play Rough!" "Hawlucha use Flying Press!" Both trainers call Meowscarda can't use Play Rough in time as Hawlucha quickly makes it to the magician. Hawlucha glows red spreads out its arms and hits Meowscarda in the face as Ash speaks.
"DO IT HAWLUCHA!" "LUCHA!" Ash and Hawlucha yell as Hawlucha slams Meowscarda on the ground creating an explosion as Leaf yells.
"MEOWSCARDA!" Leaf yells in concern. When the smoke clears everyone can see Hawlucha it's panting but still standing below it is Meowscarda it's completely knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Meowscarda's unable to battle Hawlucha's the winner!" The ref calls Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer. Hawlucha lets out a mighty "LUCHA!" and does a victory pose. The crowd lets out a loud cheer, Back at Oak's ranch Ash's Pokemon cheer with Ash's flying/fighting types, along with Farfetch'd and Noivern cheering the loudest. Back in the stadium Leaf is sad that Meowscarda lost but smiles she returns it to its Pokeball telling it thank you, she then looks at Ash who's looking at Hawlucha and speaks.
"It worked Hawlucha great job!" Ash says with Hawlucha nodding as Leaf speaks.
"What worked?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"You see as I was trying to think of a way to defeat Meowscarda I noticed that thanks to its Protein ability changing its typing depending on the different moves it uses so I waited for to call for Meowscarda to use moves other than fairy and electric type moves. So, when you used Dark Pulse that's when I knew I could use X Scissor and Flying Press to defeat Meowscarda as it was a dark type." Ash responds with Leaf nodding the crowd is shocked by how Ash used Meowscarda's Protein ability against it as Leaf speaks.
"As always Ash you come up with the craziest ideas, I don't think many people would've thought of that" Leaf says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Thanks Leaf and now you've one more Pokemon left I see the path to victory!" Ash says with Hawlucha nodding as Leaf speaks.
"It's true that I've one more Pokemon left but it's my strongest Pokemon and ultimate partner Venusaur I Choose You!" Leaf says she throws her Pokeball high in the air as her Venusaur appears. The plant dinosaur lands on the battlefield shaking it then lets out a mighty roar creating a big shock wave that blows Hawlucha back a little bit but the lucha bird stands it ground. When Venusaur stops roaring it looks at Hawlucha with Hawlucha looking at it as Ash begins to think.
"Here it is Leaf's final Pokemon Venusaur by just looking at it I can tell by just how strong it's gotten" Ash says to himself he then looks at Hawlucha and speaks.
"Let's do this Hawlucha lets beat Venusaur and win!" Ash says with Hawlucha giving a "Lucha!" in agreement as Leaf speaks.
"Let's do this Venusaur!" Leaf says with Venusaur roaring it then looks at Hawlucha and gets into a battle stance with Hawlucha doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use Swords Dance then Acrobatics!" Ash calls Hawlucha roars it sharply increases its attack power glows blue then shoots forward as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur use Protect then Poison Powder!" Leaf calls!" Venusaur quickly summons a protective barrier blocking Hawluchas attack and making the bird bounce away. Venusaur then fires a poison powder that hits Hawlucha making the bird cough as it's now poisoned Leaf then speaks.
"Now Venoshock!" Leaf calls Venusaur fires a stream of poison at Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha jump in the air to dodge then use Sky Attack!" Ash calls Hawlucha jumps high in the air dodging the stream of poison, Hawlucha glows in a golden aura and quickly charges the Sky Attack. Hawlucha then quickly heads for Venusaur going to hit it, as Hawlucha's getting closer Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur use Dig!" Leaf calls Venusaur quickly digs underground dodging Hawluchas attack making the Lucha bird hit the battlefield hard. Hawlucha groans in pain it stands up as Venusaur appears behind it having its mouth opened as Leaf speaks.
"Now Venoshock!" "Hawlucha Dodge!" Both trainers call Venusaur fires the stream of poison, when Hawlucha goes to dodge it suffers from poison damage which allows the Venoshock to hit it. Hawlucha cries out in pain as Ash yells.
"HAWLUCHA!" Ash yells when the Venoshock disappears Venusaur lands back down on the battlefield. Venusaur looks at Hawlucha who's still standing, the lucha bird pants heavily it wants to continue battling. When Hawlucha takes one step forward it starts to fall the lucha bird closes its eyes laying on its chest in defeat as the ref speaks.
"Hawlucha's unable to battle Venusaur's the winner!" The ref calls Leaf and Venusaur cheer in victory as the crowd claps for them. Ash is sad that Hawlucha lost he returns the bird back to its Pokeball Ash looks at the ball and speaks.
"Thank you Hawlucha take a good rest" Ash says he puts the ball back on his belt. Back in the stands Giselle speaks.
"And now they both have one Pokémon left" Giselle says with the others nodding they continue to look at the battlefield as Leaf speaks.
"This is it Ash we both have one Pokémon left so who's your last one?" Leaf asks curiously as Ash grabs his final Pokeball and speaks.
"Here it is my last Pokémon Raichu I Choose You!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as his Alolan Raichu appears. Raichu has an excited look on its face excited to battle again, the people in the crowd are surprised at Ash's final Pokemon as Leaf speaks.
"So, Raichu's your last I thought you were going to send out your Venusaur" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"I was going to use Venusaur at first, but Raichu really wanted to take part in this battle. Raichu's also been training hard for the league, and after taking some time to think I feel it would be the perfect opponent for your Venusaur" Ash responds with Raichu nodding as Leaf smirks. Back in the stands AJ speaks.
"Ash is sending in his Alolan Raichu next is that a good choice?" AJ asks as Brock speaks.
"Seeing as Raichu is part psychic type its psychic type moves will be super effective on Venusaur" Brock says as Misty speaks.
"Raichu also trained a lot with Ash's Venusaur so it should do well against Leaf's Venusaur" Misty says with the group nodding they look back at the battlefield as the ref speaks.
"This is the final battle both trainers have one Pokémon left whoever defeats their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner and move onto the next round. If both trainers are ready, you may now begin!" The ref calls Ash quickly makes the first move.
"Let's go Raichu use Psychic!" Ash calls Raichu fires the psychic waves at Venusaur as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur use Dig to dodge!" Leaf calls Venusaur quickly digs underground dodging the Psychic. Venusaur doesn't stay underground for long, it appears behind Raichu as Leaf speaks.
"Now Razor Leaf!" "Raichu use Double Team!" Both trainers call Venusaur fires the razor-sharp leaves they go to hit Raichu but the electric mouse dodges by creating multiple clones of itself. Venusaur lands back on the battlefield it looks around and sees Raichu and its clones surrounding it as Ash speaks.
"Raichu use Nasty Plot then Psyshock!" Ash calls Raichu along with its clones sharply increase their special attack then fire multiple psychic orbs at Venusaur as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur use Vine Whip to knock them away!" Leaf calls Venusaur sends out multiple vines that begin to easily knock the psychic orbs away. While Venusaur's busy with that the real Raichu appears in front of it as Ash speaks.
"Now use Psychic!" Ash calls Raichu fires the move and connects with Venusaur stopping its movements and causing super effective damage. Ash smiles and calls for his next command.
"Great job Raichu now send Venusaur flying!" "I don't think so Ash Venusaur use Knock Off!" Both trainers call before Raichu can send Venusaur away one of Venusaurs vines becomes covered in dark energy and slams down hard on Raichus head knocking it on the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"Raichu!" Ash calls out to the yellow mouse. Raichu groans in pain but can still battle, Raichu then sees Venusaur lifting its foot as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Earthquake!" "Raichu fly in the air to dodge!" Both trainers call Venusaur stomps its foot on the battlefield causing it to shake, Raichu quickly flies in the air dodging the move as Leaf speaks.
"Grab Raichu with Power Whip!" "Raichu use Double Team!" Both trainers call Venusaur fires two green whips at Raichu. As they go to grab the yellow mouse Raichu quickly uses Double Team to dodge the move, neither Leaf nor Venusaur are worried as Leaf calls for her next command.
"Venusaur use Knock Off!" Leaf calls Venusaur summons multiple vines that are covered with dark energy they go everywhere easily destroying all of Raichu's clones. As the vines go to hit the real Raichu Ash speaks.
"Raichu use Protect then Focus Blast!" Ash calls Raichu quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the dark vines. Raichu quickly charges up a Focus Blast and fires it at Venusaur as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur knock it away with Power Whip!" Leaf calls Venusaur summons a green vine and slaps the Focus Blast away as Ash calls for his next command.
"Raichu use Psychic!" Ash calls Raichu fires the waves of psychic energy as they're about to hit Venusaur Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur use Dig then Knock Off!" Leaf calls Venusaur quickly digs underground dodging the psychic. Venusaur bursts from the ground appearing behind Raichu, before Ash can make a command Venusaur covers one of its vines in dark energy and hits Raichu on the head making it crash back down on the battlefield and causing super effective damage as Ash speaks.
"Raichu!" Ash calls out in worry when the dust clears Raichu stands back up it then looks to the sky and sees Venusaur falling towards it as Leaf speaks.
"Now Earthquake!" "Raichu use Substitute!" Both trainers call before Venusaur lands on the battlefield Raichu quickly creates a clone letting it take its place. Venusaur then lands on the battlefield causing it to shake and easily destroys Raichus clone. Ash then calls for his next command.
"Raichu use Psychic!" "Venusaur use Light Screen! Both trainers call Raichu fires the waves of psychic while Venusaur creates 5 barriers of light. The psychic goes through each barrier until it hits Venusaur causing some damage but not a lot. Venusaur and Leaf smile as Ash speaks.
"Great now what?" Ash says to himself. Back in the stands Brock speaks.
"Now that Leaf had Venusaur use Light Screen Raichus special attacking moves will do less damage" Brock says as Ritchie speaks.
"And Ash can't wait until the Light Screen goes away as Raichu won't last that long" Ritchie says as Misty speaks.
"Ash will think of something I know he will" Misty says with the group nodding they look back at the battlefield as Ash begins to think.
"This is bad Raichu's special attacking moves won't do much damage thanks to Light Screen and I can't wait for them to go down as Raichu won't last that long what can I do?" Ash says to himself as he's thinking he gets an idea. Ash looks at Raichu and speaks.
"Raichu I just thought of an idea, but I need you to hang in there!" Ash says Raichu looks back at Ash and nods as Leaf speaks.
"Whatever you thought of won't work we're ending this now Venusaur use Earthquake!" Leaf calls Venusaur roars it stomps on the battlefield causing it to shake as Ash calls for a command.
"Raichu use Surf!" Ash calls surprising Leaf as Raichu glows in a blue outline and roars summoning a large wave of water with Raichu riding on top of it. Raichu easily bypasses the Earthquake as Leaf speaks.
"That's right I forgot that Ash also taught Raichu Surf, but no matter Venusaur use Petal Dance to destroy the Surf!" Leaf calls Venusaur summons multiple pink petals and fires them at the Surf. The petals begin to break down the Surf as Ash speaks.
"Now Raichu use Iron Tail!" Ash calls when the Surf is completely destroyed Raichu falls towards Venusaur covers its tail in steel energy and slams it hard on Venusaurs head creating an explosion making Venusaur slide back as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur are you okay?!" Leaf asks with Venusaur nodding it also feels its defense lower as it glares at Raichu Leaf then begins to think.
"I see so he had Raichu use Surf knowing that I would get rid of it with Petal Dance which allowed Raichu to get closer and use Iron Tail" Leaf says to herself she smiles and speaks.
"Not bad little bro but you'll need a lot more than that to take down my Venusaur" Leaf says with Venusaur roaring as Ash speaks.
"Oh, I know little sis that's why I'm going to do this Raichu use Electric Terrian!" Ash calls Raichus cheeks spark as it roars firing electricity everywhere until the entire battlefield is covered in it. Raichu smiles it can feel its electric power increase as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur use Razor Leaf!" "Dodge Raichu!" Both trainers call Venusaur fires multiple razor-sharp leaves they head for Raichu but Raichu easily dodges. Raichu then begins zooming around the battlefield going fast making it hard for Leaf and Venusaur to keep track of it as Leaf speaks.
"That's right I forgot his Raichu's ability is Surge Surfer allowing it to go fast in electric terrain" Leaf says as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Yep, and this is where our counterattack begins Raichu use Quick Attack!" Ash calls Raichu shoots forward at blinding speed and hits Venusaur in the face as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur use Knock Off!" "Dodge Raichu!" Both trainers call when Venusaur goes to hit Raichu the mouse quickly disappears dodging the attack as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur keep using Knock Off!" "Raichu use Double Team to dodge!" Both trainers call Venusaur summons more vines and covers them in dark energy. Venusaur fires the vines they head for Raichu but the mouse creates multiple clones dodging the move. Venusaur continues to try hitting Raichu but keeps hitting its clones instead. Back in the stands Brock speaks.
"I see by using Electric Terrian activating Raichu's ability to increase Raichus speed it allows Raichu to dodge Venusaurs attacks easier" Brock says as Ritchie speaks.
"Not only that but if Ash keeps this up the Light Screen will eventually disappear too" Ritchie says with the group nodding they look back at the battlefield Venusaur continues to try grabbing Raichu but misses. This keeps going until Venusaurs last Light Screen disappears Ash smiles and calls for his command.
"Now Raichu use Thunder times 4!" Ash calls Raichu dodges one more Knock Off and roars to the sky summoning 4 large Thunder's which surprise the crowd. The 4 Thunders quickly head for Venusaur as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur quick use Protect!" Leaf calls Venusaur quickly summons a protective barrier, once it does the 4 Thunders come crashing down on it. Venusaur tries to keep the barrier up but thanks to the Electric terrain still being active making the 4 electric bolts much stronger and start to crack the barrier. The barrier continues to crack more and more until it fully breaks, and the 4 Thunders hit Venusaur. Venusaur cries out in pain from the electricity until there's an explosion as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur!" Leaf calls in worry when the smoke clears Venusaur's still standing but those 4 Thunders did do a lot of damage to it as it begins to pant heavily Ash then speaks.
"Okay Raichu now use Psychic!" Ash calls Raichu fires the psychic waves at Venusaur as Leaf speaks.
"Use Knock Off!" Leaf calls Venusaur covers one of its vines in dark energy and sends it forward easily destroying the Psychic. The vine continues to head for Raichu Ash quickly calls for Raichu to use Double Team to avoid the move as Leaf calls for her next command.
"Now use Leaf Storm!" Leaf calls Venusaur roars summoning a large storm of leaves that destroy all of Raichus clones and hits the real one making it spin out of control as Leaf calls for her next command.
"Now grab it with Knock Off and slam it on the ground!" Leaf calls Venusaur quickly fires multiple grassy vines covered in dark energy that wrap around Raichus body. Venusaur then slams the mouse hard on the ground making it groan in pain as the Electric Terrian then goes away. Venusaur still has Raichu wrapped in its dark vines holding on to it tightly as Leaf speaks.
"Sorry Ash but this is the end Venusaur use Earthquake!" Leaf calls when Venusaur goes to stomp on the battlefield Ash speaks.
"Sorry Leaf but it's not over yet Raichu use Surf!" Ash calls Raichu lets out a mighty "RAI!" as it summons a large wave of water that hits Venusaur making it lose its concentration and letting Raichu go as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur blow it away with Leaf Storm!" Leaf calls Venusaur roars it summons a large number of leaves that go everywhere easily blowing the Surf away when that happens Ash calls for his next command.
"Now Raichu use Psychic to hold Venusaur in place!" Ash calls Raichu quickly fires the psychic waves which connects with Venusaur and holds it in place as Ash speaks.
"Now use Wild Charge and Iron Tail!" "Venusaur use Knock Off!" Both trainers call Raichu covers its body in electricity and shoots forward. Venusaur roars, it covers its vines in dark energy and breaks out of the psychic. Venusaur then fires the dark vines at the incoming Raichu, as Raichu and the dark vines are about to collide Ash speaks.
"Raichu use Substitute!" Ash calls shocking Leaf as Raichu quickly creates a clone letting it get hit by the Knock Off instead. The real Raichu is now in front of Venusaur and hits it with Wild Charge causing damage to the plant dinosaur, Raichu suffers some recoil damage but quickly shakes it off as it that covers its tail in steel energy and slams it hard on Venusaur's head. Venusaur groans in pain and feels its defense decrease as Ash calls for his next command.
"NOW USE PSYCHIC!" "VENUSAUR PROTECT!" Both trainers call Venusaur's unable to summon a protective barrier in time as Raichu quickly fires the psychic waves that grab Venusaur and yells.
"RAI, RAI! CHU!" Raichu yells as the Psychi makes Venusaur go flying causing super effective. Venusaur keeps flying until it goes pass Leaf and crashes into the wall behind then falls on the ground creating a dust cloud as Leaf yells.
"VENUSAUR!" Leaf yells in worry when the dust clears everyone can see Venusaur it struggles to stand back up it looks over at Raichu who's panting heavily, Venusaur wants to continue fighting but ultimately lays down on its stomach knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Venusaur's unable to battle Raichu's the winner. Seeing as contestant Leaf has no more Pokémon left this means that Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town is the winner and will move onto the next round!" The ref calls Ash gets a big smile on his face and yells.
"ALRIGHT!" "PIKA!" "RIO!" "FRO!" "RAI!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie and Raichu they all jump in the air as the crowd lets out a loud cheer. Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie run down to the battlefield giving Raichu a big hug as Ash speaks.
"Great job Raichu I knew you could do it!" Ash says happily with Raichu nodding. Ash then feels his 5 Pokeballs wriggle as Hawlucha, Ninetales, Tyrantrum, Corviknight and Pyroar appear. Ash looks at them and speaks.
"You guys did great too thank you" Ash says while smiling making the 5 mons smile too they then begin to congratulate Raichu as well making the mouse happy and congratulate Tyrantrum evolving making the T-rex smile. Back in Pallet Town Ash's Pokémon let out a loud cheer while Leaf's Pokémon are sad that she lost but are okay with it as they know their trainer fought hard. Back in the stands Ash's friends cheer for him as Joe speaks.
"I can't believe it Ash defeated Leaf!" Joe cheers as Brock speaks.
"It was cutting it close, but Ash pulled it off" Brock says with the others nodding as they continue to cheer. Meanwhile, in the building Red, Delia, Oak, Blue, Goodshow and the Elite 4 are in they all have smiles on their faces as Delia speaks.
"Looks like Ash won in the end" Delia says as Rose speaks.
"It's unfortunate that Leaf lost but she gave it everything she had and I'm proud of her" Rose says with the other adults nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf's sad that she lost she walks over to Venusaur and speaks.
"Hey Venusaur, are you okay?" Leaf asks Venusaur looks at Leaf it nods and gives a "Saur" telling Leaf that it's sorry that it lost as Leaf speaks.
"It's okay Venusaur you and everyone did great we may've lost this time but the next time we battle Ash we'll win" Leaf says as Meowscarda, Poliwrath, Aurorus, Talonflame and Espathra come out of their Pokeballs agreeing with Leaf. Venusaur looks at them and nods it stands back up as Leaf pets it on the head Ash then speaks.
"Leaf!" Ash yells Leaf turns around she sees Ash along with his Pokemon run over to her. When they get close enough Ash looks at Leaf and speaks.
"That was an amazing battle Leaf you gave my Pokémon and I a great challenge" Ash says with his Pokémon nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Thanks Ash, we enjoyed it too but next time we'll be the winners" Leaf says with her Pokémon agreeing with her making Ash smile. Leaf then points her right fist forward and continues to speak.
"Good luck in your other battles big bro I'm rooting for you and Gary. Also, this is the only time I'm calling you big bro" Leaf says as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Thanks, I'll make sure to keep winning" Ash responds he points his right fist forward too as he and Leaf fist bump each other. The crowd claps for them, meanwhile in the crowd Gary claps for them as well he enjoyed the battle Gary then stops clapping as he sees Paul walking by. The two boys look at each other, having serious looks on their faces. They keep staring at each other until Paul walks one way with Gary walking the other way so they can prepare for their battle.
5 minutes later Ash and Leaf are currently walking through a hallway once they exit it, they see Misty, Brock, Giselle, Joe, Ritchie, AJ, Jackie and Harrison who all congratulate them on a great battle with the two trainers saying thank you. As they continue to talk Leaf notices Gary walking by, she quickly runs over to him and speaks.
"Gary!" Leaf says catching Gary's attention he turns around and sees Leaf once she gets close enough, she stops and speaks.
"What did you think of Ash and I's battle?" Leaf asks curiously as Gary speaks.
"I thought it was great you and Ash did amazing" Gary responds making Leaf happy as Ash runs over and speaks.
"Hey Gary, you liked our battle?" Ash asks as Gary speaks.
"I'll admit it was good, but I think Leaf should've won instead" Gary says in a mocking tone making Ash annoyed before he can respond they hear a voice.
"Will contestants Gary and Paul please report to the battlefield!" The voice on the speaker says as Gary speaks.
"Will looks like it's time for my battle see ya" Gary says as he goes to walk away Ash speaks.
"Gary don't lose I want to face you in the finals" Ash says Gary looks at Ash he smirks and speaks.
"Hmph don't worry I got this" Gary says with a smirk with a hint of worry in his voice both Ash and Leaf notice. Before they can say anything, Gary walks away heading for the battlefield, once Gary's gone Leaf looks at Ash and speaks.
"Hey Ash, did you notice?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, it was only for a split second, but I felt a hint of worry in Gary's voice" Ash says with Leaf nodding as she speaks.
"Come on let's go root for him" Leaf says with Ash nodding as they along with everyone else head to the stands to watch the battle.
5 minutes later we're now at the battlefield Gary and Paul have taken their battle positions both boys look at each other having serious looks on their faces as the chapter comes to an end.
