The aging President had just gotten his morning coffee and was heading to his office when one of his aides came with his dally update. "Mr. President I have the most recent reports from our current operations." She said as she followed him.

"Go ahead, fill me in as we walk." President Richardson says right before taking a sip.

"Starting with Camp Navaro, it is running at peak efficiency, not only that apparently it's taken in some locals that were half dead from one reason or another. Now they are going through basic training to boost our ranks. It's predicted only half will survive but that's still better than nothing."

"Plus it will allow us to weed out possible spies. What's going on with the 'Nomads'?"

"The Aldecaldos were hesitant at first, but after they realized how good our offer was they quickly took advantage of it. Word has spread to other Nomad groups apparently and they are trying to reach out to us in hopes of getting the same deal."

"If possible without causing too much suspicion then do it. Either way, these Nomads will get first pickings when we use the G.E.C.K.s to restore America's farmland. These people were forced off their farms due to environmental collapse, correct?"

"That and just desertification in general. Some people moved to Night City for the same reasons."

"But those people lack the same American spirit that the Nomads have. A spirit that must return to this land. Moving on to our Mexican base, how's that going?"

"They set up a research facility to have a larger space to study what we are already studying and to study some of the differences in technology to see what we can adapt and what should be destroyed. Something of note is this interconnected information network however the one that currently exists is too unstable. The people of this world allowed AI to run rampant and infect the net to such a degree that their society which is dependent on it could collapse at any moment."

"Something we could use as a means to take control if it comes to it. But I would rather it be a last resort. Who knows how much damage it would cause."

"Agreed, Mr. President. Also the cure for our operative's illness is coming along nicely. What we have right now is mostly theoretical, however compared to her other options it's the only one were she can keep her body and not die in six months."

"That's good news."
