Kalil finally told Jamal where to park. Kalil texted someone, and two guys wearing hoodies snuck out a back door of a particular house. Kalil, Eric, and Jamal got out of their car and went into what seemed like a safehouse, the same house that the other two guys just left. Kalil's group did not have unlimited resources, he relied on help from friends, friends who maybe didn't want to know Kalil's business. Whether that was good or bad for Jamal and Eric was unclear.

.

Kalil: Eric, why'd you think those fools were following us?

Eric: Just a feeling. Maybe I was wrong.

Kalil: Anyone can be wrong. I just think the three of us should wait here while my friends do a little checking on the two of you.

At the White House president Keaton is speaking with chief of staff Gardner.

.

Keaton: There is certainly a long way to go before Suvarov and Zelensky can agree to peace.

Gardner: Both sides know that peace will mean painful compromises, but both men seem willing to some compromise.

Keaton: They are, but what about the hardliners in either country?

Gardner: We had the same problem in negotiating with the Taliban. That wasn't easy, but we did it.

Keaton: True, I should speak withe the secretary general, make certain the UN will commit the resources, since we have little credibility with Russia.

Gardner: That shouldn't be a problem, they want peace as much as we do.

.

Chloe OBrien is in her home, half awake half asleep, when her phone rings. To her surprise it's George Mason.

.

Mason: Chloe, I need your help.

Chloe: You want me to come into CTU?

Mason: No, I think there might be a mole in CTU. Someone tried to murder Jack Bauer in Cuba, and I think I'm being set up.

Chloe: How do I know you're not guilty?

Mason: You don't, but I don't know who else to trust. Jack probably doesn't trust me either and right now I can't say I blame him.

Chloe: What do you want me to do?

.

In the basement of this safehouse Kalil is telling Eric and Jamal about his griefs with the capitalist system.

.

Kalil: My older brother was a drug dealer, he did what he had to do for us after dad died and mom got sick. But then the city decides to do siezures, take away property they claim was bought with drug money. My brother wasn't even convicted in a court of law, and they took our house. Six years old and I'm living in a shelter. Those fascist police took everything from us. One cop and his family lived in the home they took from us. Another cop was driving our car. I knew I'd be in and out of prison either way, so yeah I tried to get rich as a dealer. But when I was incarcerated I started thinking, was this cycle ever going to end? For awhile I blamed the white occupation, but I eventually realized that there were plenty of black men who profited at the expense of their black brothers and sisters. Plenty of white proletariet who were oppressed by the ruling class, but were duped into supporting this fascist system. I won't deny I committed crimes against the people, helped pollute these streets with drugs to keep the people down. But my eyes were opened. But you Jamal, you didn't want to listen.

Jamal: I was wrong, I admit it.

Kalil: So was I, once. But according to my sources, just yesterday you were organizing a little league game between jewish and muslim children. It seems like you still believe, or at least want to believe in the American dream.

Jamal: I tried, it doesn't work.

Kalil: No, it doesn't. But you got a wife, a kid, I don't think you want to give all that up. And you Eric, I do trust your brother Isaac.

Jamal: But you don't trust me, after what we went through together. I hate to say this, but I don't. But I do somewhat trust you Eric, but you have to earn the rest of my trust.

Eric: How?

.

Kalil then handed Eric a gun.

.

Kalil: Shoot Jamal.

Jamal: Come on Kalil, we were like brothers in prison.

Kalil: Nothing must be allowed to stay a revolutionary's hand, not even brotherhood. You want in the revolution Eric, kill Jamal now.

.

Eric knew this would blow his cover, but he would not murder an innocent man like Jamal. He instead pointed the gun at identified himself.

.

Eric: I'm with CTU, and you're under arrest.

.

Split screens show Eric Carter holding a gun on Kalil, Jack and Tony nervously awaiting news from Jamal, acting president Keaton discussing strategy with Gardner, Mason and Chloe discussing how to find the mole.

.

Kalil was dissapointed by this turn of events. He had hoped to be an intregal part of the revolution, now that wouldn't happen. Still, Lenin was right when he said that a true communist was a dead man on furlough. Instead of surrendering Kalil walked over to the tool box. Jamal and Eric had a good idea what he was about to do. Jamal ran up the steps as Eric shot Kalil. Before he died Kalil was able to detonate this explosive. Eric ran under the basement steps for some degree of cover, and the bomb went off.
