Chapter 9: How Team Supernaturals' Interactions With Each Other Play Out
"Alright, now that we've finished finding an ideal match for Team Supernaturals, it's time to find a match for Team Problem Solvers." Edward said. Just as he was about to start finding a match, Atlas wants to say something.
"Hey, Ed." Atlas said, getting Edward's attention.
"Yes, Atlas?" Edward said.
"I forgot to ask you something. How do you think the interactions of the girls in Team Supernaturals would play out?" Said Atlas.
"Well, I know for a fact that Candy Chiu and Penelope von Schweetz would become good friends since they're both Disney girls. Gretchen Gritcherson and Dawn the Moonchild would also get along since they both debuted on Teletoon. Am I right?" Edward said.
"Yeah!" Lefty, Rye, and Atlas said in unison.
"For each of the girls to interact with each other is based on how the creators want them to interact. Since Candy and Penelope come from Disney, they would bond since some of Penelope's character traits slightly reminds Candy of her friend Mabel since Penelope is energetic like Mabel. Since they both have names related to sweets, they would tease each other at times for that reason. On top of that, their clothing attires are similar in color to the point where people mistake them as siblings, despite the two girls hailing from different racial backgrounds." Edward said.
"Penelope and Ralph visited that "Oh My Disney" place when they were journeying to get a replacement wheel for Sugar Rush. Imagine if they encountered Candy Chiu there and her friends, it would give Candy and her friends an opportunity to get an autograph from Penelope and Ralph since they are both legends." Lefty said.
"They probably did but it was not shown." Rye said.
"Well, whatever the case was, I'm sure Candy and her friends managed to meet Ralph and Penelope." Edward said. "Anyways, back to what I was saying. Penelope and Candy would become good friends since they both come from Disney and that Penelope's attitude is slightly reminiscent of Mabel's. Both Candy and Penelope would share their experiences of being bullied and insulted by certain characters before becoming friends with them, including blonde bratty girls like Pacifica Northwest and Tabitha Muttonfudge. If those two blonde brats meet, they would clash initially but become pals later on since that Mindy Kaling lady or whatever her name is voices both of them."
"Wait, Tabitha Muttonfudge?!" Atlas exclaimed. "Isn't her name Taff—." Lefty stopped her from finishing.
"He really meant to say Tabitha Muttonfudge, Atlas. Just roll with it for now." Lefty whispered in her ear.
"If Candy was to be in danger in the same way as Penelope was, then she and Ralph would stop at nothing to come to her rescue, showing how much Penelope cares about Candy. While Penelope would be sometimes annoyed with Candy's obsession with boys, she nonetheless won't make an issue out of it. If Candy ever told her that Ralph needed a girlfriend, Penelope would initially be disgusted by that idea, but she would eventually agree with Candy since she wants Ralph to have a happy life and wouldn't want to have Ralph following her around whenever she isn't having a major issue going on. That being said, now it's time to discuss how Penelope's interactions with Gretchen Gritcherson would play out."
"I wonder if their relationship would be like Sonic and Knuckles' relationship, with Penelope being Sonic and Gretchen being Knuckles." Lefty said.
"Well, both of them are tomboys, so they probably would bond over tomboyish things like playing soccer, despite Gretchen having girlier traits than Penelope. Both girls would agree that wearing dresses makes them uncomfortable. Both girls would give each other some tips on how to rise to the top. For them to have a rivalry like Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckle the Echidna, I can see the two competing against each other in kart racing since Gretchen herself was a kart racing partner for McGee, and that Gretchen is just as competitive as Penelope. They probably won't have too much of a rivalry since Gretchen and Penelope's main rivals are Suzi and Tabitha, two blonde brats who looked down on them at one point of their lives and often get in the way of their shenanigans, and Gretchen herself isn't that gullible compared to Knuckles. Moreover, Gretchen and Penelope would become great friends if Penelope was a bottom dweller like Gretchen."
"I wonder how Taff—, I mean Tabitha and her fellow Sugar Racers would adapt in Sunny Smiles." Atlas said.
"Well, when Gretchen got to that camp, she, McGee, and Squirt got apples thrown at them by those campers, and Penelope would suffer from the same act as Gretchen if she was there with them. As for Tabitha and the other Sugar Racers, they might go to war with Sunny Smiles, but eventually call a truce." Edward said.
"Who knows if that would happen?" Lefty said.
"We will never know the results until they're shown." Rye said.
"I agree." Atlas said.
"Okay! Now that I'm done talking about Gretchen and Penelope's interactions playing out, I want to discuss how Candy Princess would interact with the aura-reading moonchild." Edward said.
"Given that Dawn told B that his aura was exceptionally purplish-green and it suited him when they first met, I can see Dawn telling Penelope that she has a grassy green aura which fits her perfectly." Lefty said.
"I'm with you on this one, Lefty." Rye said. "On top of that, Dawn can read Penelope's aura and say that her desire for fame is a result of her being trapped in a world where she was unable to leave."
"Those are some very good assumptions in regards to Penelope and Dawn. Penelope at first would be confused by what Dawn meant about having a green aura and stuff. She can question if Dawn is some type of mind reader to which Dawn responds that she doesn't but can read her aura. She would be creeped out by Dawn at times whenever she appears out of nowhere. Dawn, on the read, would be confused by why Penelope glitches, and may ask her if her glitching is a natural ability to which Penelope replies her glitching is a permanent part of her code. Overtime, the relationship between the two grows once the two get to know each other better. Dawn and Penelope would bond and sympathize with each other for having their careers robbed by a devious hothead who likes to cheat his way to victory. With this experience, this allows Dawn and Penelope to bond even further. At the end of a day, the two girls will be the best of friends and promise each other to succeed no matter what."
"Yeah, I'm with you on this. The glitching racer and the nature-loving psychic may be the most recognizable match made from heaven." Lefty said.
"Yep, those two would be the most unstoppable duo should they compete together." Edward said.
"What about the rest of the interactions of Team Supernaturals?" Atlas said.
"Good question!" Edward exclaimed. "Candy Chiu and Gretchen Gritcherson would become great friends. Both have resided in a camp with supernatural creatures. Both girls were bullied by characters with blonde hair such as Suzi and Pacifica. As I said earlier, if both Candy and Gretchen were to switch places with each other, they would play each other's roles very differently. If they appeared together, both girls would have to deal with the daily shenanigans in Gravity Falls and Camp Lakebottom. Like Penelope, Gretchen would also be sometimes annoyed with Candy's love obsessions, but won't try to make an issue out of it. Gretchen would advise Candy to put her feelings for any attractive guys around her aside to take care of threats like Jordan Buttsquatt and Suzi. Candy, on the other hand, would at times help Gretchen bring the girliness out of her if she's attempting to compete with Suzi, and would advise Gretchen to stay away from unicorns. As mentioned earlier, Candy would fall for McGee since he is a handsome boy, and Gretchen would be supportive of her potential crush on him because McGee is her friend and cabinmate, and Gretchen would try anything to hook him up with Candy."
"What would happen if Buttsquat tried to pull some funny business on Candy if she was dating McGee?" Rye asked. "What would the reactions be like?"
"To be honest, I think the bottom dwellers, especially McGee and Gretchen, would explode in anger and rage at him for attempting to hurt Candy, both verbally and physically. They would most likely beat up Buttsquat so bad and brutal that he won't move a muscle for at least a month. The same applies to Suzi if she was in Buttsquat's shoes." Edward explained in an honest tone.
"If that were to happen, then this would psychologically scar Suzi and Buttsquat for years to come." Lefty said. "Because that will teach those two not to mess with McGee's heart."
"That's right! No one likes having a broken heart. Having one can have severe effects on the mind after all." Edward said.
"True dat!" Rye said.
"Okay, so what about Gretchen and Dawn's relationship?" Atlas asked.
"Earlier, I said that both girls would get along due to debuting on Teletoon. How their interaction plays out will be based on them getting to know each other. Gretchen at first would accuse Dawn of being Suzi's accomplice or even Suzi in disguise due to having blonde hair. Then Gretchen would be creeped out by Dawn for appearing behind her out of nowhere. Finally, Gretchen would express confusion on the aura stuff that Dawn talks about. Meanwhile, Dawn can read Gretchen's aura, and indicate its color as yellowish-green. She then tells Gretchen that her aura color fits her well. She would say that Gretchen's determination is a result of a cry for fame and to surpass her parents' reputation. As time passes, Gretchen would lose her hostile attitude towards Dawn and begin to trust her more. Both Dawn and Gretchen would share their experiences of not having their spot to get in first place in reality shows due to some arrogant hotheads with no sense of respect making several ways to outshine them. Gretchen would warn Dawn to watch out for monstrous creatures like vampire bats and mutant chipmunks. In the end, Gretchen and Dawn will become great friends, and Dawn would invite Gretchen to meditate with her." Edward said.
"Finally, we have Dawn's interactions with Candy Chiu." Said Lefty.
"You took the words right outta my mouth, Lefty. I thank you for that." Said Edward.
"I hope Candy and Dawn would get along really well if they met." Atlas said.
"They should get along just fine. It's not like Candy wants to beef with people like Dawn, right?" Edward said.
"Right!" Said Lefty, Atlas, and Rye in unison.
"So, here is my assumption on how they would meet. So Candy and her friends Grenda and the Pines twins are in the forest filming a short video for a new project. They come across several animals they see. A moment later, something sneaks up behind the quartet. That something turns out to be a gigantic spider, and it growls. The quartet runs away while the arachnid chases them until the quartet gets backed into a corner where the spider prepares to eat them. Until Dawn comes to their rescue and stops the spider. She then shows the giant spider a little spider to which the giant spider squeals in joy, and leaves with its baby. The quartet and Dawn introduce themselves, and they thank Dawn for coming to their rescue to which she states that it's a pleasure to help them. Candy invites Dawn for the sleepover at Mabel's house, which Dawn accepts." Said Edward.
"What could they possibly be doing at the sleepover?" Lefty asked.
"While Dipper is trying to sleep, Mabel, Candy, and Grenda are probably doing what they like to do when they have sleepovers, and since Dawn is a guest, she may tag along with their activities as well." Edward responds.
"Imagine Dawn hearing Candy say things like 'boys make me think about kissing' or 'I got a magazine about boys'. " Lefty said.
"Yeah, I bet that Dawn will say something next after hearing this." Rye said.
"Yeah! She'll probably say that Candy's love for boys is either a way to compensate for the rejection from all the boys who like Pacifica, to long for attention from boys, to deal with the neglect from her family since she is an only child, and all other things Dawn would mention to Candy in regards to her obsession with boys. Candy would confirm that any of these said statements are true, and she would also ask how she knew of one of them. Dawn can respond to Candy that she can see and read people's auras and/or tell her that Candy has a soul that acts like an open safe. Mabel would ask Dawn if she has psychic powers to which Dawn confirms it. As the sleepover continues, the three Gravity Falls girls become intrigued by Dawn's impressive abilities to the point where they ask her if they can find a guy for each of them by reading his aura. By the end of the sleepover, Dawn and the three girls became great friends. When Dawn prepares to leave Gravity Falls, Candy asks her if they will ever meet again. And Dawn will reply that she probably hopes she will someday."
"Yep, I can see them meeting up with each other like that. Dawn may not be an expert in romance, but she can analyze a guy who may be good for the girls."
"I agree. Since she can see and read everyone's aura, it would be wise for Mabel, Candy or Grenda to hang out with Dawn should they decide to get to know her better." Said Atlas.
"Yep, it really would be wise." Said Rye.
"Agreed. But since this is Dawn and Candy's relationship we're discussing, I can see the boy-crazed Korean develop her relationship with the moonchild further. At times, Candy might feel uncomfortable when Dawn pops out unexpectedly, but she can tell her about this politely without issue. Candy and Dawn would share some of their times of misfortune with each other. Candy would tell Dawn about unicorns and how poorly her encounter with them went. Dawn may tell Candy that she was a contestant on a survival reality show and that she didn't win the money because her teammate threw challenges and framed her for being a thief, which got removed from the competition. Candy would sympathize with her by sharing her story of being treated like a loser and receiving loser candy from jerks. In the end, Candy and Dawn have become closer than ever." Said Edward.
