"Give me the Moon Stone," Klaus demanded, holding out his hand.
"Why do you want the Moon Stone?" Tyler asked.
Assblaster 5000 (Tyler's Skuntank) made a loud angry fart noise in Klaus's direction.
"To evolve my Clefairy," Klaus replied.
He let the creature out of a Pokeball.
"Clefairy," said Clefairy.
Assblaster 5000 made a fart noise at Clefairy.
Clefairy hid behind Klaus's legs, then peeked out at the Skuntank and said "Fairy" with a frown.
While Tyler's mind was busy being boggled by the revelation that Klaus apparently had a cute little pink Pokemon, Klaus continued to explain, "Moon Stones are the rarest of the evolution stones and that one was mine before Katherine stole it from me. She didn't even have a Pokemon that needed it to evolve."
"Uh... yeah, okay. That sounds reasonable," Tyler said.
He placed the Moon Stone in Klaus's outstretched hand.
"Thank you," Klaus said, with more sarcasm than his interlocutor felt was really necessary considering that he'd handed it over without much argument after all, and they hadn't even had a Pokemon battle over it.
Klaus gently touched the Moon Stone to the top of Clefairy's head.
"Clefairy!" said Clefairy as it was enveloped in a white light.
The Pokemon's outline distorted as it evolved. Then the light faded.
"Clefable," said the newly evolved Clefable.
Klaus knelt to hug his beloved Pokemon.
"Clefable," Clefable cooed happily.
Assblaster 5000 looked up at his trainer and made a questioning fart sound.
"No, it looks like we're not going to have a battle today," Tyler told his Pokemon. "Get back in your ball."
Assblaster 5000 made a sad fart noise as he returned to the Pokeball.
