Chapter 7: War History

Back home, Agatha was on a computer and then looked up, and then checked on Rudy and he was sleeping, she sighed as she closed the door, it may look like Rudy's there but really it was Nessie covering for him.

Meanwhile with Rudy, he had just woke up from passing out as dragon servants were putting a crown on his head, but he moved aside, and he had questions for the Queen about the whole "royalty" thing.

"So, Grandma..."

"Uh, Grandmamah, it goes up on the second ma."

She explained while performing royal duties.

"Oh, sorry. Um, GrandmaMAH, you got the wrong person. I'm just Rudy Scaleman, normal teenager."

"Normal according to who?! Once every hundred years, since the dawn of time, one Man born in our family has been gifted with the mighty power to turn into a Giant Dragon, and become King."

She said going into another room with Rudy.

"You are only one of three Giant Dragons on this Earth, Rudy, we must protect the sky and it's creatures."

She continued as they entered the "Hall of Monsters."

"But many Monsters have coveted our position, and havd tried seize the throne for themselves, Brag Alert: they never succeeded, the Hippogriff, the Cockatrice."

She continued Showing some statues of mythical monsters.

"And the most power Hungry and Dangerous one of them all..."

"The Fairy?"

Rudy asked as a statue of terrifying fairies revealed themselves.

"Yes, The Fairy!"

"But people love Fairies."

"Of course they do, people are stupid."

the Queen said as she and Rudy entered the Room of Fairies.

"Fairies are selfish, vain narcissists, with mediocre hair, and their King, Narcus, the worst of them all, he wanted to control all the Sky and force it's creatures to serve him and him alone, and so began the great war."

She continued as artificial paintings showed.

"Starting with our ancestors, the First King of Dragons and army of Warrior Women."

"He looks like me."

"Mm-hmm, normally, Fairies would be no match for us Giant Dragon, much too... puny, but over the years, their King has been searching for an ancient weapon, the Axe of Jarnbjorn, the only weapon powerful enough to defeat a Giant Dragon."

She continued as more paintings of the battle continued.

"Since then, things started to go downhill, many for the Former Kings and armies formed the front lines against her, and for that... we paid a terrible price.

She looked down as a painting showed the Fairy King defeating the Former Kings and Women army.

"Frankly, when it came to be our time to fight, I supposed we'd all be coal toast, If it wasn't for one Dragon, the Princess, who's also... your Mother."

She said as a painting of Agatha as a Dragon reveled itself.

"No way! That's Mom?! Was she actually cool?"

"She was our greatest warrior, I mean, of course she was, I thought her everything I know, she engaged in a great battle against the Tyrant Fairy, and wrested away the Axe.

She continued as Paintings of Agatha vs the Fairy King showed.

"I called it her "Queen making moment" it was glorious, Narcus fled in disgrace."

She chuckled.

"We had a chance to crush the fairies forever, but your mother did the unfathomable."

She said as a painting of Agatha leaving the Queen while holding Rudy as a Baby.

"She hid the Axe away, left her kingdom, left her kind, all to play... HUMAN?!"

She shouted as she shot something out and it was pinballing around, then Rudy dodged it as I came towards him.

"Whoa, you can breathe more than fire?"

"It's called "Atomic Blast." Well, it's Electrically charged Bioluminescent Radiation, but yeah, it does pack a wallop, you have the power too, you know."

"Besides growing big at super awkward moments?"

"You're special Rudolph, you feel it in the core of your being, let me teach you."

"But, Mom told me that if I stay out of the Clouds, I won't turn into-"

"A Giant Dragon? You are not a Human who turns into a Dragon, you're a Dragon hiding as a Human. Once you know what you're capable of, you'll want to be the next Dragon King, it's your birth right, and fight as you might, fight as you will, you can never outfly your destiny!"

She pointed out making Rudy think about the life he's living know.

"I don't know Grandmamah, there's still a life down below I'm living in, I like Math and Catherine, you know, Teen stuff."

"Very well, I loved spending this time with you Rudy."

"Me too, and thank you for telling me the truth."

"Until we meet again my Child, take care now."

The Queen said as she went into another room While Rudy flew away to the exit, while Brill was confused.

"Wait, you're just gonna let him go?"

"He'll be back, a Dragon always answers the call."

"That's what you said about Agatha."

He said looking down, Rudy just exited the entrance of the Kingdom making his way back home and then ran into Sawyer again.

"Bye Sawyer."

He said passing him as he screeched again saying "Good bye" Rudy made it to Cloudside, but then his foot was then caught in a trap, which down below triggered an alarm who Captain Flightdeck then noticed.

"Dragon ahoy!"

Rudy tried to escape but then got caught into another trap.

"Buckwheat, hard to port, full power!"

He told his sheep who took control of the station, Rudy was caught into more traps and got tangled up, help couldn't fly out and so he grabbed a cliff pole and hung on.

"Fly, fly me beauties!"

The Captain launched a harpoonthankfully Rudy dodged it.

"Let's get a real look at ya."

Flightdeck shined a light up to where Rudy is but clouds were hiding him, Rudy still needed a way to escape.

"Fire Breath, Go!"

He tired to spit fire but really he coughed out smoke.

"Fire Breath, Go!"

He tried again but then nothing.

"Fire Breath?!"

Why wasn't it working?

"Hold her steady, Bucky."

The Captain said, Rudy ran out of options as flightdeck kissed harpoon and launched it towards him really fast, but then it was caught by something or someone, the thing flew fast freeing Rudy.

"Ha ha, bit of a Spicy Reptile, aren't ya!?"

Flightdeck Exclaimed.

"Wait, is that..."

He is as the thing came from the light and it revealed to be Chester.

"The new Guy. Oh my gosh, Heeyyy!"

"Chester?! H-How are you even up here?!"

"Because... I'm a mother flippin' Fairy!"

He sang revealing his fairy wings.

"I figured I owe you an Air Rescue since I kinda, sorta, 100% got credit for yours."

"Time for the Gordon special: Surprise! It's a Bomb!"

The Captain said Catapulting a Bomb in the Air.

"We should get going, or like die? Your call."

Chester said as Rudy Nodded and the two flew away fast while the bomb missed, went back down and the then...

"Hit the Deck!"

BOOM!!!

Fightdeck and Buckwheat took cover from the explosion, and as the smoke cleared, they saw their target got away.

"Don't say it Bucky."

He said while Buckwheat Baad angrily.

"Aye, you're such an naysayer."

Meanwhile, Rudy and Chester just made it to somewhere safe.

"Ok, I still can't believe that you're..."

"An Ten with magic wings? A tale's happily ever after? a Fairy? Oooh, I can't believe I can finally have a friend to share things with, a Super Sky Guy Buddy."

"Chester look, thanks for what you did back there, but I started this day thinking that my biggest issue was prom, and now I got a WHOLE lot more going on, so I just need to go home, get some sleep, and pretend this day never happened."

Rudy said flying home.

"Look, I just thought we had a lot in common, but if you're gonna be salty about, then... Bye bye.

Chester said taking off into a different direction, while Rudy looked back for a little and then continued home, Rudy opened his window and laid in bed, Nessie came over to cuddle and both of them went to sleep.
