Brute force is nothing to Kimmimaro, but what about subtlety?

Mika cursed, horrified. "A real Kaguya, I read your bloodline was quite one to be feared." Mika turned an eye on Hinata, who looked almost blood thirsty, something he had brought out of her. It was satisfying to watch rise up, knowing how much power she really had in her tiny body and that she was willing to use it. "Ready?"

She nodded. "More than."

And with a rare grace, they moved. Mika was in front, charging his blade with his vibrant chakra, meeting the Kaguya's bone blade, ringing soundly against it. Mika actually cringed as the recoil ached fiercely through his entire body.

"My bones are harder than Steel, you stand no chance." The Kaguya boasted, as Hinata leaped over Mika, in perfect form. "Eight Trigrams, Thirty Two Sleeping Palms!" But before she could do a single movement, the Bone user exploded in a dozen reverse position ribs, blocking her attacks easily and sending her back with a scratch on her left forearm. They both cursed but the man smiled. "Your movements are sharp, your eyes as well. I can see why Lord Orochimaru wants you dead, you nearly killed even Kabuto. Very impressive, but not enough."

And finally he moved, slashing and stabbing the blades coming out of his palms, cutting through air and even Mika's thin armor easily. He moved with a grace Mika could only pray he could match some time in the future.

Realizing he was entirely outmatched, they both were, physically, Mika moved to plan B. " Hinata, hide and seek!" She nodded, a smirk on her lips. They both threw down pepper bombs, making the Kaguya leap backwards, laughing.

"Is that all?" He never saw Mika sink into the earth, with Hinata at his side, each creating a handful of earth clones that scattered about. As the real Mika focused his chakra, ready to trap a real beast under a powerful genjutsu. Hinata's and his clones each burst out, slashing and stabbing, poking and jabbing, gathering his attention until Mika was ready. It was a dance of death, as the Kaguya decimated the entirety of their clones with practiced ease... at least until the point that Mika's illusions took hold, making the Kaugya see the dead body of one clone as the real him, layered under not one but three layers.

Mika knew he had mere seconds, and so he reached up and pulled the man under to his knees, the man fighting back and breaking the three layers just as Hinata poked the man in the eye, sending a spike through his very brain, killing him instantly. Slumping forward, he coughed out blood, but stayed very still, completely and utterly dead.

Rising from the dirt, Mika sniffed. "He reeks, I think he was already sick. We got lucky... it's a good thing you didn't touch his chakra, who knows what that would do to you?"

Hinata nodded, shaking. "Agreed." Turning, she saw the other enemies dead, and her teammates oddly not that wounded. Naruto was healing from few scrapes as only he could, Neji was bruises badly, and Akamaru was whimpering from a few cuts, but otherwise, they were all alive.

Mika shivered. " I can only imagine how badly one on one battles would have been... collect the bodies, Tsunade will love to learn about whatever made them Special enough to Orochimaru breathe, then take Sasuke back."

They quickly took the corpses, gathering them before hurrying back to the Leaf village, ready and happy that the mission was a success.

So, it was here that things went wrong. Hinata screamed. " LOOK!" They all turned as a mass of purple poison rocketed towards them all. Mika, recognizing the technique as one only a medic was capable of, called out. "Gather around, we go underground."

Naruto called out. "What about Sasuke?"

"Fuck him, it's us or him!" Mika and Hinata each grabbed an arm and sank beneath the ground, not having the chakra reserves to save Sasuke's vessel, it was tiring enough taking the others with them.

As they sank in, they watched Kabuto shoot out of the mist and grab Sasuke's vessel, and reverse summon away to the Snakes that Orochimaru worked with.

In the hands of the enemy, to who knew what destiny.

Naruto cheering suddenly confused Mika. "Sasuke gets to live! This is awesome, we just have to get him back later!"

It was Hinata that snapped. "He is a traitor, he will likely be hunted down and beheaded, just accept it Naruto." Naruto's scowl was more of that of an Infant pouting, nobody cared much for it.

They would stay unground for twenty minutes, waiting for the gas to dissipate before slowly trudging back to the village.
