"I love your eyes."
The young king said, caressing her face.
"My completely normal eyes."
She wasn't used to receiving so many compliments.
"They're not, those are your eyes and I can't decipher anyone the way I can with you, just from your eyes. Can't you read me through mine too?"
She wanted to say yes, that she could see in those intense blue eyes that he was the kindest person she had ever met, that he was now worried about the kingdom, but that he was also relaxed and happy.
"No, to me they're just a pair of eyes staring at me unblinkingly in a frightening way."
He gave that laugh she was beginning to like before coming close and kissing her.
"I think I like you Agatha Darkness."
"Harry!"
She woke up startled, sat up in bed sweating and not understanding anything. She hadn't had dreams like that for ages, why now? The redhead settled into Mal's old room, tried to pull the covers off herself and get up.
Her first sight was of the TV, which she had left on, broadcasting the news of the three kingdoms being completely destroyed. How come the television studios on the news were never destroyed? That was the questions she asked himself, but the images they had, in his opinion, were the best. The whirlwinds had destroyed squares, shopping malls, houses, castles, clubs and any other building nearby. From afar it was possible to conclude that the United States of Auradon was not made to withstand so many "phenomena of nature"
"I have to speed up my plans."
The dream about Harry had stirred her and she didn't like feeling this old sensation inside. The brief feeling of love, of having someone who was there for her, whereas feeling hatred, resentment and seeking revenge is much easier.

Someone inside that place certainly had a different reaction to Agatha when they saw the damage done to the kingdoms.
"How is he?"
Mal asked her mother-in-law when she saw her close the door to her son's room with an astonished look on her face.
"You'd better not come in now."
Adam said his daughter-in-law just after he heard the sound of something being broken.
"What was that? I think I'd better..."
She was about to step over Belle and go in, but Adam stopped her.
"Better not Mal, he's just found out what Agatha did in the neighboring kingdoms and he's not well. It's best to leave him alone for now, just until he calms down."
The father-in-law advised.
"Rest in the meantime. You've also been through a less than pleasant experience and you haven't stopped since you got back."
Belle tried to argue.
"All right, I'm going to take a shower, but I'll be back later."
Mal warned, giving up on the moment.
Feeling the cold drops running down her back seemed to be all Mal needed, despite the pain in her shoulder. The wound was open and it hurt like no bruise had ever hurt before. After spending a long time in the bath, she got dressed and as soon as she finally sat down on the bed, she heard someone knocking on the door. It was a messenger from the queen. She wanted Mal in her living room right then and there.
"Queen Clarion called me?"
Mal entered and motioned to the woman.
"Hi Mal, yes, I called you, but would you mind stopping by another place with me first? I've just been requested."
"Sure."
The two left and were walking somewhere the girl didn't know.
"This is the fairy school."
Clarion clarified for her, as Mal looked around to find out where she was.
"And what do fairies learn here? Magic? It's just that I've never had much contact with many fairies throughout my life."
Mal explained.
"Yeah, but it's going well, plus it's..."
"Queen Clarion."
Before she could finish answering Mal's question, someone called out to her and she had to pay attention to the problem. Mal left the room and wandered around, looking at the bulletin boards on the walls. As her eyes took in all the sights, she accidentally saw a huge bronze plaque with the words: Outstanding students from the Magic School, What caught the girl's attention, apart from the fact that the sign was strange and not very good for bringing peace between the fairies, was one of the names on it: Maleficent Fairy
"But what?"
Mal stared in disbelief. How could her mother even be named?
"I've rarely seen anyone as intelligent as her."
A fairy appeared behind her, saying.
"Excuse me, but who are you?"
She asked, trying not to be rude.
"I'm a teacher from here, nice to meet you Queen Mal."
"You knew my mother?"
"We studied a class together, if I'm not mistaken Contemporary Magic. We didn't talk, in fact nobody talked to her, but I'm not so arrogant as not to recognize the extent of the Queen of Evil's intelligence.
"Forgive me Mal, I've solved the problem, fairy teachers can be very petty...Hi." Apparently even the Queen of the Fairies had her moments of saying the wrong thing. The teacher walked away embarrassed, leaving the two women alone again. "What were you talking to him about?"
"Nothing important, it's just that I saw my mother's name on that sign and then he told me that he knew her."
"Oh, that's right, He and Maleficent were in the same class. I bet he said something about her intelligence."
"Yes."
"Yes, believe me, even though your mother has become what she is, we're still amazed at how smart she is, even though life hasn't been easy with her..."
"What do you mean?"
"Maleficent was never a conventional fairy. We've never seen a fairy with horns and you know what happens when people see something different."
"What?"
"Well, when your mother went to school I wasn't queen yet, but from what I know from stories, the students weren't the best of friends with her. Maleficent suffered a lot, I don't know how she got to the point of becoming the Queen of Evil, but what I do know about her school years is that it wasn't a fairy tale."
Wow, that's the only describable expression about what was going on in her head. Never in twenty-two years had she known about her mother, all Mal knew was about the conquests Maleficent told her about, but in less than fifteen minutes she knew more about her than she ever had. Maleficent was more than the woman who plagued the little princess and wiped out several kingdoms.
"Thank you for telling me about her, you've told me more about her than she has."
"You look like her, as far as I can tell, she was also quite intelligent and had a good command of magic."
"Apart from the fact that she ended several people's lives."
"There's something you can do to thank me for the favor I did you."
"What?"
"Let me bandage your shoulder." Mal was about to object, but was stopped by the queen, who pulled down the sleeve of her blouse and saw the enormous damage. "Lucky your half fairy, a human would have died from that. Agatha?"
"Yes, we fought and I imagine you already know about the fight, but at some point she threw some kind of fire and ended up hitting me."
"Don't tell the boys I'll do that, I can't use my magic for that, but I think in your case..." She put her hand on the wound, making it heal quickly. "Before you say anything, I only accelerated the healing process, your body did the rest."
"Thank you."

Auradon
"How is that possible?" It was more than halfway through the day and in the midst of planning the biggest spell ever Agatha discovered what the saviors were planning. A Magical Apprentice. One of the books in front of her was on this subject and the way Mal had attacked her, it could only be that. "That magic wasn't hers alone." From the years she had lived with Maleficent, she could see the extent of her strength, but the way the girl was going to face her was different, a different kind of magic from her mother's. "Do they really think they're going to beat me with that?" She smiled at their ignorance in thinking that that alone would be enough. "Guards! I need you to go after some things for me."

"I've been talking to Mal."
Clarion said to Rashid. After talking to the girl, the queen went over to him.
"So?"
"She's a lot stronger than we thought."
"Yes, of course, I know she'll keep winning."
"When are you going to Wonderland?"
"Soon, I need my arm to get better, but I intend to go as soon as possible."
"Have you told her about...?"
"No, not yet. These past few days have been exhausting explaining it to her."
"You know you have to, Rashid."
"I know, Clarion. As soon as we're in Wonders I'll tell her the truth."
