Levi was right they were able to sneak into Trost very easily with all the chaos they were walking through a marketplace.

"Try not to walk in a cluster," Levi said. "We'll stand out."

"Eren and Historia walk normal," Lando said he noticed that they looked skittish.

As they were walking Conny noticed the royal family's flag flying around.

"Why is the royal family's flag hanging around everywhere?" Conny said.

"Oh!" Sasha said. "Today must be the anniversary of the King's coronation. Once a year they hand out a haul of rations."

"Oh.." Conny said.

As they were walking they stopped when an MP was on a stage yelling about rations.

"-We'll begin handing out rations!" The MP yelled. "King Fritz has heard of Trost's District's hardship and will donate the royal family's reserves! There's enough for everyone! Line up orderly!"

The crowd started to talk about the King's generosity.

"Long live King Fritz!" One yelled.

"Thank goodness!" Another yelled.

"What a king!" Sasha said, "He sure is generous!"

"He's got more than he knows what to do with." Levi and Lando said at the same time, it was awkward for a few seconds before Levi spoke up. "People are weak, especially when baited with food."

They started to walk again and stroll along until Levi and Lando stopped, they both heard something.

"Get down!" Levi yelled.

Lando grabbed the closest person next to him which was Conny and dove out the way. There was a wagon with a horse that flew by grabbing Historia and Eren. Levi had planned for something like that so he switched Eren and Historia for Jean and Armin.

"Armi-" Sasha yelled before getting an elbow from Lando.

"I mean, Jean and Christa!" Sasha yelled. "They got snatched away again!"

"Could you make it any more obvious," Lando muttered.

"I'm not good with all this sneaking," Sasha whispered.

"Let's go," Levi told everyone and they took off to try and find their decoys.

They found where they took Jean and Armin. It was a warehouse.

"Use your ODM gear to scale the warehouse," Levi ordered.

Everyone scaled the walls.

"Lando," Levi said. "What's going on inside?"

Lando looked through a window and saw some creep feeling up Armin's face whispering sweet nothings into his ear while Amrin had tears in his eyes.

"They are both tied up in chairs," Lando said. "Armin's having a grand ol time with one of the captors and Jean is forced to watch."

"So we have to hurry before their cover gets blown," Levi said.

"Before we go," Lando said. "How is your ankle?"

"This again." Levi sighed. "I can move well enough, it's not bad. More importantly these kidnappers….They're nothing but amateurs. Why would they be using guys like this?"

"Go check on Eren," Lando said. "We can handle the rest on our own,"

"I was thinking the same thing." Levi said, "Once you've dealt with the trash, come and meet up with me. One more thing…I'll tell you just in case. Tell Armin and the others too. We are now fighting humans as well."

Lando nodded and Levi, using his ODM gear went to check on the real Eren and Historia.

Lando using his ODM gear got down to where the rest of Levi Squad were.

"We are going to rescue Armin and Jean from these kidnappers, Mikasa with me," Lando said.

Mikasa and Lando snuck into the warehouse undetected, there was only 1 guard at the moment and he was still talking to Armin about something. Lando snuck up behind him and put him in a choke hold and held it until the guard fell asleep. As Lando was doing this Mikasa got Armin and Jean out of their binds.

"About time," Jean complained.

"No time Jean and Armin put those binds back on and act like you're still tied, more will be on the way," Lando said.

Jean and Armin did what he said, Jean more reluctantly.

A few minutes pass as the rest of the kidnappers return.

"You're sure without a doubt it's Eren and Christa?" The leader said.

"Yes, they match their description." Another said.

"Huh." The leader said. "Where's the guard?"

Lando nodded to Mikasa who ran out and did a flying knee to one guy's head knocking him out, Lando favored simplicity and ran up to the guy behind the one Mikasa kneed and pinched his nerve knocking him out, he thanked Kenny for teaching him that. The leader pulled out a gun as Lando sprinted at him he realized that the leader wasn't going to shoot he would've already so he picked up the leader and body-slammed him causing the gun to slide across the floor while Jean and Armin tied up the last guy.

The kidnapped started to wake up from their unconsciousness while the rest of the Levi Squad restrained them.

"Conny only four?" Lando asked.

"Yes!" Conny said back.

"Tie them up," Mikasa said.

"We will meet up with Da-Captain Levi after this," Lando said thankfully nobody picked up on what he almost said.

"What do you mean?" Armin asked.

"Captain's orders," Lando said.

With Levi.

Levi had just got on a rooftop overlooking Eren and Historia wagon with a girl right next to him overlooking it as well.

"They're far too arrogant." Levi thought. "They wouldn't use amateurs. This is more like….Assuming the wagon was being followed….And the group was trailing their target…."

"Captain." The girl next to him said. "The wagons almost moving again."

"Nifa, have you heard of Kenny the Ripper and his assistant?" Levi asked.

"The mass murder in the capital?" Nifa asked. "The one that slit the throats of over 100 Military Police? That's just an urban legend from years ago, right?"

"He is real," Levi said. "And the stories are true. His assistant seemed to have gone missing about 3 or 4 years ago."

"Huh?" Nifa asked.

"I lived with him for a while when I was a kid," Levi said.

"What?" Nifa asked. "Why would you even say that? This isn't the time to be making jokes."

"That's right…" Levi thought. "He wouldn't care about amateurs. If a group was trailing their target it would be from both rear angles, and….a place high up with a view."

It all clicked for Levi. He turned around as fast as possible.

"Nifa!" Levi screamed as he dodged the bullet by a hair.

Nifa wasn't so lucky.

Levi turned and went around the top of a chimney.

"Yo, Levi," Kenny said. "You grow any yet?"

Levi heard Kenny walking up the roof and reloading his pistols.

"Enjoying family life?" Kenny asked. " How are the wife and kids?"

Kenny shot AODM gear into the top of the chimney and used gas to get above Levi.

"Oh?" Kenny said mockingly. "It looks like you haven't changed at all!"

"Kennnnny!" Levi screamed, drew his sword and threw a detached blade at Kenny who blocked it with his pistol Levi threw his cloak over him.

"Kaboom!" Kenny said as he shot his pistol missing Levi.

Levi slid down the rooftop as gunfire went all around him missing him, he jumped off the roof and used his ODM gear to get away. Levi was trying to keep up with the wagon that held Eren and Historia who were knocked out, he kept following until he turned the corner of a building and 3 men were there and shot their pistols. Levi shot a hook into the building behind him dodging them before turning to fly down another street, using his ODM gear as gunshots fired all around him barely missing him he went underneath a wagon dodging all the gunshots. Levi uses his hand to push off a pile of boxes dodging more gunfire then sliding down a wooden plank and a bullet grazes right above his eye. He kept going straight until there was only a bar in front of him. He went flying into the bar and then rushed behind the counter.

"It's Levi of the scouts!" The owner said in fear. "W-Welcome to our establishment!"

"Ain't that the damndest thing! I smell a filthy rat coming from this bar…" Kenny said outside of the bar. Come on out you little rodent….."

Kenny jumped into the bar "Found ya!" Kenny said. "The law has come to exterminate the vermin!"

"Bang! Bang!" Kenny said, stomping his feet.

Everyone in the bar was frozen and didn't say a peep.

"The hell?!" Kenny yelled. "Ain't you here?!"

"Right here, Kenny," Levi said behind the bar. "It's been a while. Never thought you'd still be alive. What happened to slaughtering the MIlitary Police? Now you're one of them?"

"Adults do plenty of things a kid like you can't understand," Kenny said. "Oops, my bad. You're so tiny, it's hard to believe you're older now. I been looking forward to seeing you and the other guy in action. Never thought all the tricks I taught you would be helping you like this. Didn't I ever tell you what happens to a cornered rat? No matter which way you run you'll get blasted from above." Kenny grabbed onto a chair while still holding his gun. "Hey Levi…." Kenny threw the chair at Levi, breaking all the bottles on the wall. "There's gotta be a reason you became a Scout, and I think I know what that is. We had no choice but to survive in that garbage dump. It took all we had each day to keep livin'. And when you found out how big the world really was, you bet it hurt like hell. But something saved us… We'd found something we wanted to do. It's that simple. It's simple, but the truth is." Kenny said, grabbing another chair. "The only thing that made our life fulfilling was finding hobbies."

"Hobbies?" Levi asked. "So is blowing the heads off my team another hobby of yours?"

"Yup.." Kenny said as Levi turned a bottle so he could see the reflection of Kenny. "To achieve my grand goals, I'll kill as much as I have to. You're no different. You kill when it benefits you, too."

"Yeah," Levi said as he grabbed the rifle the owner kept under the counter and shot Kenny who put the chair over his body to take the shot but it still knocked Kenny back.

"Thanks, old man," Levi said, throwing his rifle back at the owner.

Levi then picked up a chair and threw it out the window, and when he did gunshots rang out toward the window.

"A chair?!" One of them said as Levi ran out the window and shot a hook into the guy's head killing him. Levi shot another hook into the building next door while the guy was still in his other hook, Levi got on the rooftop and when the two men on top of the roof started to fire at Levi he put the body of the guy still on his hook in front of him to take all the shots for him. Levi shot a hook into the building across from the roof and pulled himself using his ODM gear toward the building taking out his dagger that he had and slit the throats of the two men as he went forward.

With Lando.

Lando and Levi Squad were trying to find Levi's location when he heard gunshots.

"Gunshots," Lando said.

"You think somethings going on?" Jean asked.

"Yes," Lando said. "Also Levi told me this before he left. From now on, we'll be fighting humans, not just Titans."

Everyone but Mikasa gasped.

"Huh?" Jean said. "You mean…?"

Lando jumped off the roof heading toward the gunshots while Mikasa followed, everyone else stood still for a few seconds before rushing after them. They caught up with Eren and Historia's wagon who had a new driver.

"Hey! There goes Eren!" Conny said.

Then Captain Levi came from behind some buildings chasing after the wagon.

"Captain!" Armin said.

Lando didn't waste any time and used his ODM gear to chase after his Dad and the wagon. Everyone got close to the wagon as an MP who was chasing after Levi shot a pistol, Levi who dodged it and shot a hook into her pulled her in, and slit her throat in one swift motion. Levi hooked onto the wall for a second and saw the rest of his Squad coming in.

"Chase the wagon!" Levi yelled.

Levi was in front while the rest of the Squad was behind him.

"Listen up!" Levi said. "They're used to fighting people! They already got three of ours! If we're going to get those two back, you can't hesitate! If you get the chance, you kill. Got it?!"

"Got it," Lando said.

"Roger." Mikasa said.

Nobody else spoke.

Levi got closer to the wagon and using his ODM gear shot a hook into the person who was on the back of the wagon pulling him off. After he did that reinforcements came.

"Armin! Jean!" Levi said. "Secure the wagon! We'll cover you!"

"Sir!" Armin said.

"Another dead…." Jean said.

Lando had dodged a gunshot that was heading at him, and just like Levi shot a hook into the MP pulling him closer and then cutting their throats in a swift motion.

Lando then looked at the wagon, Mikasa kneed the MP driving the wagon and she fell back into the wagon as Jean held his sword to her shaking.

"Don't move!" Jean yelled as the girl hit his sword to the side.

Lando had started to get to the wagon as Jean was holding his sword to her, he saw Armin shaking, aiming a gun at her. Lando got on the wagon and grabbed the girl, throwing her to the ground of the wagon, the pistol that she held was also on the ground. The MP moved for the gun while still on the ground but Lando kicked her out of the way, she was lying right in front of Jean who looked horrified Lando grabbed the pistol aimed it for the MP's head and with no hesitation shot her in the head.

Blood spouted all over Jean's face and over his clothes as well as Lando's.

"Why did you hesitate?!" Lando yelled.

Lando looked up and saw three more Mp's coming at them

"Shit!" Levi yelled "Armin! Jean! Lando!'

Lando jumped off the wagon while Armin got grabbed by Levi and Jean got grabbed by Sasha. Lando shot a hook into the building and used gas to get back into the chase, as two more MP's secured the wagon. The MP on the back of the wagon started shooting, as Mikasa and Lando who were the closest. Lando only had one way to dodge; he detached his hook and hit the ground hard, but avoided the gunshot. Lando looked up as the wagon went into the next city followed by two more MPs, Mikasa who was about to run in after them had to be restrained by Levi.

"Don't do it! Fall back!" Levi said.

She was trying to break out of Levi's grapes so Lando ran over to help hold her back.

"Eren!" She screamed.

And luckily Lando's ear was right next to her screaming and it started to ring.

The Scouts retreated back to the warehouse, where they sat for the night with their only light being a lantern.

They were all sitting around the lantern sitting on crates Lando was eating a piece of bread while drawing in his journal about everyone chasing after the wagon everyone was silent.

"What's wrong?" Levi asked everyone except Lando. "This grimy place killed your appetite?"

"No…" Armin said. "Jean there's something I don't understand…."

"What's that?" Jean asked.

"I was about to shoot that gun to save you…And if it wasn't for Lando you wouldn't be alive right now…Sorry but, why didn't I shoot to save you?"

Jean looked away remembering the face of the MP who was hesitating herself before she got thrown to the ground, Jean remembered Lando's cold glare after killing her.

"That's…" Jean mumbled.

"Because the other person hesitated that saved his life," Levi said. "It's true,"

"Armin, Lando I'm sorry," Jean said looking at the floor. "I should've done what I had to do."

"I know what it is.." Armin said. "That person was probably a bad person…if Lando wasn't around you would be dead and they would still be out there causing more chaos. Someone who wasn't even a good human…And I didn't pull the trigger."

"Armin you didn't get blood on your hands," Levi said. "But maybe this is a new you. Embrace it, just think if Lando wasn't around and you didn't pull that trigger Jean wouldn't be here right now. I think that if Lando wasn't here you still would've pulled the trigger before she killed Jean because your comrade was about to die."

"And Lando," Levi said.

Lando looked up.

"Thanks to you getting blood on your hands, nobody in our Squad ended up being dead," Levi said. "Thank you."

Lando didn't know what to say, he was getting praise from his father even if it was for killing someone.

Lando just nodded his head.

"Captain Levi," Jean said. "I…I thought it was wrong to be fighting other humans…And wrong for you to order us to do it. I was afraid to be hurting other people. But…I'm the one who was wrong. Next time I'll shoot."

"I never said anything about who was right or wrong," Levi said. "I don't even know myself. Are you really the one in the wrong? Now then…." Levi said standing up. "It's about time we hear what he has to say."

They still had the leader of the kidnappers tied up.
