On a sunny day in the middle of Free Country, USA, Strong Sad was out walking on a path of leaves holding a parasol and wearing clothes a lady would wear. He came across a tree and sat down it to write some of his fanfic. While he was doing so, he wonders if there was a rake station in town that sold only the most capable of rakes. He quickly forgets about it, though.
Strong Bad, popping from behind the tree, places a spoonful of hoisin sauce on Strong Sad's head. "Say, what's the weather?" asked Strong Bad. Strong Sad would answer with a fully-detailed description on the current weather in Free Country, USA, along with a strange statement that it will rain leaves in 30 minutes. Strong Bad was baffled by the statement of raining leaves. "What do you mean it will rain leaves in 30 minutes?" asked Strong Bad, not realizing that Strong Sad already left. Still as confused as ever, Strong Bad walked away.
Strong Bad runs up to Homestar Runner to tell him about the latest news. "Say theow, Stwong Bad," said Homestar, "What's the deal?" "Hope I'm not kidding, because there might be raining leaves in about 30 minutes!" yelled Strong Bad. This surprised Homestar. "Waining leaves?" exclaimed Homestar Runner, "Since when?" "In 30 minutes!" yelled Strong Bad as he ran towards Pom Pom. Homestar Runner also runs off.
Strong Sad was in a conversation with Pom Pom when Strong Bad bumped into Pom Pom to yell about the fact that it will rain leaves in 30 minutes. Pom Pom bubbles as if he had already known about this before. Strong Bad then went on to tell everybody else about the raining leaves, and 30 minutes later, Strong Sad was right. It rained leaves.
The leaves part of the rain resemble leaves of many colors. Red, orange, pink, brown, green, and some weird ones like blue. This seemed like a time for Strong Sad to search for a mate to date. Deep within the fall, he will find himself his date. He thought to himself that he would go on a date with Marzipan as per usual, but then he realized that he wanted to change things up a bit. Holding his parasol tight, he spun it around in an attempt to attract. That did nothing, since he wasn't all that attractive.
Strong Sad knew this was coming, so he tried to look for a rake. He searched all around, looking for anything that even resembles a rake, but then he came across Pom Pom. Pom Pom was who Strong Sad wanted to have as his partner. Love is serenading Strong Sad's imagination, as he's never really felt such emotion before. This was a miracle. Strong Sad was able to find a partner to date. Pom Pom was confused as to why Strong Sad is blushing. "Oh, um, uhh, it's just, it's just love," Strong Sad stuttered, before running away.
Strong Sad went to Bubs' concession stand, where Bubs can be seen selling rakes. "Greetings," greeted Strong Sad, "One rake, please." Bubs was annoyed at first, but he accepts Strong Sad's offer. "That will be 60 dollars," Bubs said. Strong Sad follows through and pays 60 dollars for a rake that will clean up the raining leaves. "Thanks for the offer," exclaimed Bubs, as Strong Sad runs off and puts his new rake to use.
As the leaf rain grows heavy, Strong Sad used his rake as a shield to prevent any leaves from falling on his face. The efforts were somewhat futile, and it caused him to dance for a little bit. He even spun around, making him dizzy for a moment before getting himself together. He decides to stay under the raining leaves because it's where he will begin his dating season.
Meanwhile, in the house of the Brothers Strong, Strong Bad and The Cheat were watching from afar. "Why is he staying outside?" asked Strong Bad. The Cheat makes The Cheat noises as he shrugs, but then explained that it is a special time. The two look at Strong Mad, who is also inside the house. "I BEG TO DIFFER!" yelled Strong Mad.
Back to Strong Sad, he managed to come across Pom Pom, who also bought a rake from Bubs. Their eyes are locked on each other for a moment, and then it begun. They danced under the raining leaves, from ballad to tango, to even tapdancing. Bubs then put rakes for sale. This caused all of the Free Country residents to arrive at Bubs' rake station to buy themselves a rake. They danced until 2 hours later, when it stopped raining leaves.
The skies were clear again, and the grass they stood on was covered in leaves of all colors. "Thanks for coming to my Rake Station," exclaimed Bubs, as he ran back to his consession stand. Strong Bad was relieved to finally be able to go outside again. But then he saw Strong Sad making a heart-shaped spot in the middle of the leaves. Today was the day Strong Sad is able to go out with someone.
Pom Pom walked up to Strong Sad, and bubbles how much he developed a interest in him during the last 2 hours. "I feel the same too, Pom Pom," replied Strong Sad, "We should be more than just friends." Pom Pom hesitates for a moment, and agrees to this. They hug each other, much to Strong Bad's disappointment.
"Are you kidding me?" Strong Bad yelled, "I thought Strong Sad was incapable of date-have!" "I didn't think so, though you are more capable of date-have fow me," said Homestar Runner, looming over Strong Bad, scaring the latter into running away from him. "Get away from me!" yelled Strong Bad as he got chased by Homestar. Strong Sad and Pom Pom looked at the chase in confusion, but then decide it's not important and go to Marshmallow's Last Stand.
It was late in the evening, and love was serenading the two as they had their marshmallow special. Strong Sad chuckled as if he's never had a love in his life other than Marzipan. He felt so happy, and when he and Pom Pom finished their romantic dinner, they knew what was going to happen in the end. They share a tender kiss under the romantic lights, and their love was as pure as the evening.
