I was pacing the length of the cell that those foul guards had thrown me in. My name is Yuri Kleen and I am the twin sister of Yugi Muto. Although I never knew my brother, when we were nothing more than a couple of weeks old, our real parents died in a car accident. And for the next three months, we rarely got to see each other. I was constantly moving between foster homes. Finally, I was adopted by a German family that had a little girl of their own named Ava. So most of my life I have lived in Germany with my mama, papa, and sister. Or that was until they sent us both to an elite private school for girls in Japan.

We meet my twin brother one weekend when we had been searching for the orphanage that I had lived in for the first few months of my life, at this time we were only seven years old. We were looking for the orphanage so that I could find out a little more about my real family. I have known for all of my life that I was adopted, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that I was different from everyone else. So we had gotten some directions from one of the older girls at our school, but we got totally lost and no one would tell us where we were. Or that was until we meet a boy about my size and our age, crying alone in the park. He had a couple of bruises on his arms that looked to be the size of a teenage boy's hand. Ava being the sympathetic out of the two of us, pulled me over to him.

"Hey, are you okay?" Ava asked, bending down next to him. The boy said nothing until I picked up a rock and threw it as hard as I could. It went sailing across the sky before hitting the water on the other side of the park. Ava already knows of my ability to throw things at anything I want with full force. It wasn't like Ava to just sit by and not notice the bruises or the cuts.

"The next one I throw will be at the old man that has been following the two of us for the last hour. Now tell my sister what is going on or watch as he gets hurt." I said using the same voice my adopted father used on criminals. Sometimes having a chief of police as a dad is a good thing, other times, not so much. The boy looked at me before jumping to his feet as if he had seen a ghost. Or that was until he tried to take the rock from me. Which didn't work out so well for either of us, seeing as we both landed on the ground in a heap. We were just fighting over the rock at first until he untied the ribbon keeping my long black hair out of my face. I was about to punch him when something brushed against the lilac tips of my black hair. It turned out to be the tears from the boy under me. Was he using my hair as a way to hide from the old man that had been following us? After about ten minutes I got off of him before helping him up.

"So what was that all about?" Ava asked once she helped me tie my silver ribbon around the bun on the back of my head. I was a little ticked off that he would use my hair to get away from whomever that old man was. But now that I think about it he looked like he just needed someone to talk to about whatever was bothering him. And for some reason I just felt like I could trust him even though he untied my hair ribbon.

"Thank you for letting me hide in your hair. I don't want to go back home anytime soon. That old man was my grandpa. You see I just found out that my whole life has been a lie because of the fact that I was adopted by my grandfather as a baby. Apparently I have a twin sister that I have never met that was sent to an orphanage as a baby. Oh sorry I never told you my name it's Yugi Muto. And who might you guys be?"

" I'm Ava Kleen and this is my sister Yuri. She was adopted as a baby." Ava said sitting next to him on the ground. I leaned against the nearest tree not wanting to be anywhere near them.

"Yuri, he knows about orphanage! His sister was from the same one! Could it be? Are you twins?" Ava nearly screamed into my ear. Not like it affected me any different than it normal did. In other words, I jumped when she did it because I had drawn back into my own little world. I suffer from a lot of bad things which is why I am always cutting people out of my life. It doesn't help that I won't even talk to mama and papa. I pulled away from her, only to hit the back of my head on the tree I was leaning against.

" Come on Ava you know not to scream in my ear, mama told you that my right eardrum is already too thin thanks to you know what," I said rubbing at my right ear. She smacked my arm when I put my arm behind my head like one of those street thugs, that like to hang out around our building. Our parents not wanting to pay for boarding at our school, got us an apartment about thirty minutes from the school. Most of the time I am wide awake listening to thugs and drug dealers talking outside of our one-room apartment which was way too small for the two of us. I had actually become the police number one informant. Which had made me a lot of enemies, one being a blonde hair boy the same age as me and Ava, because I had sent his papa to jail for not only child pornography but drug dealing.

" So lead the way to the orphanage." I said to Yugi. Which now that I think about it, we did look alike. We had the same pale skin and similarly shaped eyes. But he had amethyst eyes and I had lilac. He had amethyst in his hair and I have lilac. As the three of us walked down crowded back streets I started to get the feeling that something wasn't right and that my trusty knife might need to make a special appearance. Yes, I carry a pocket knife with me everywhere I go. That had been drilled into our heads since we were four years old. We were halfway down an empty alleyway when stuff started to come back to me. This was the way I took when I left the orphanage. Or so I was told by my mama and papa. As we got closer to the front door of the orphanage I noticed that it was in need of massive repairs and that children younger than the three of us were weeding the small garden.

" Yuri! Your back! I never thought I would see you again." one of the staff members said to me as we walked up to the door of the run-down orphanage. It was basically confirmed that I had lived there for the first six months of my life. Yugi and I were twins. It was obvious that it was the truth. We not only look freakishly alike, but I also was in the same orphanage that his sister was. But I needed more proof that he was my family. That way I could get me and Ava removed from our parents that wanted nothing to do with us. So, with Yugi's consent, we went to the doctor to get a blood test done. In a couple of days, the results came back. It was confirmed by science, we were not only family but twins. We were both shocked, confused and happy all at once. Our grandpa right away filed to take custody of both me and Ava, who was officially abandoned by our parents. To tell you the truth, they never really saw me as their child only wanted me for the money.

Fast forward a couple of years and I meet a small boy named Mokuba. He, in turn, introduced me to a boy, that just so happened to be his brother, about our age, that I immediately had a crush on. His name was Seto Kaiba. Me being a lawyer, and him being a businessman, I guess it just clicked in my head. I guess he felt the same because he asked me out a couple of times which I refused thanks to my sister until one day he followed me home. Then I couldn't refuse. That is where all hell breaks loose between me and another businessman named Pegasus. I could understand kidnapping me, but did that loon Pegasus have to take Mokuba too. I completely understand that Mokuba is needed if Pegasus wants to take complete control over Kaiba corp, but that doesn't mean I don't have a few loopholes in almost every bylaw of the company.

Sometimes having knowledge of companies bylaws comes in very handy. I was reading over some law books that were hiding in my backpack when these horrible men grabbed me. It was late and I was just making my way home from the library when I was grabbed from behind and knocked out. When I woke up, both me and Mokuba were in a small room that had a single bed, dresser, closet, and desk along with a chair.

Seeing as I barely get any sleep on a normal bases, I let Mokuba have the bed. Something else that was hiding in my backpack was my duel monster deck, which I haven't used since I was ten, but that is a story for another time. Pegasus calls me into his home office every day to ask me the same stupid question: "Where is Seto Kaiba?" I know he was trying to use his millennium eye on me, but it won't work seeing as my Amulet prevents any outside use of magic on the wearer. The story behind my amulet is that it once belonged to a mage in ancient Egypt, she was the lover of an all powerful pharaoh, who gave her the amulet to protect her should anything happen to him. Our grandfather had given it to me the same day that he gave Yugi the millennium puzzle.

But anyways it was late one night almost a month since we were kidnapped and I was once again nursing a new wound that I got for not telling those damned guards gave me while asking me where my boyfriend was. I was also looking over my deck which revolved around my scarlet dragon. My brother may run a deck revolving around his dark magician and Seto's around his blue eyes white dragon, but mine is a mixture of both.

I put my cards down before rubbing my eyes from the lack of sleep. My body felt horrible and heavy like it couldn't even move. But I had to keep going or else Pegasus might try something on Mokuba. And I could not let him do that, Mokuba was the only thing that could stop them should I fail to free us from that loon of a man.

"Yuri, you don't look so good. Are you feeling okay?" Mokuba stated as he sat next to me on the floor. I smiled weakly before lifting my heavy arm to mess up his hair, although it never made it that high before. Everything started to spin and I couldn't see or think straight. The next thing I know, I am staring up at the ceiling watching shadows past by. I could faintly hear yelling and shouting but even with my super hearing, it was distorted. I know then that something was massively wrong. My hearing had always been one of my best features as my sister Ava Kleen said. I looked around only to see Ava standing over me.

"Hey Yuri, how are you feeling?" Ava asked kneeling down next to my head. I looked around the room trying to see if anyone else was here, but it was just the two of us girls in an even smaller room than before. But as my body comes farther back to the world of the living, my ears start picking up every little sound.

"Ava, where in the Bloody hell are we?" I asked sitting up on the thinner threadbare mattress, which was horried on my back, Ava looked at me before looking around the room and handing me a small slip of paper covered in her messy handwriting. After quickly scanning it over with my eyes, I know what had happened since I fell into one of my coma, which had happened nearly three months ago. Ava told, while she wrote, that the tournament was almost over and Mokuba had become a mindless zombie after escaping from Pegasus. But first he had told Ava everything he know about what was happening.

Pegasus had kidnapped Mokuba to gain control over Kaiba corp and had me kidnapped to hold for ransom against not only Seto but also my twin brother. Ava came to save my butt only to get caught by the same foul guards who had thrown my almost lifeless body in a cold cement cell far underground. If it wasn't for her holding a knife to Pegasus' neck, she would of most likely shot by the guards.
