"Its officially pumpkin season!" Marinette said, delightedly as she flew down the stairs. Today was the first day of autumn, and every year she made a batch of pumpkin cookies. Not only were the pumpkin cookies shaped like pumpkins, they tasted like them too.

Marinette was just getting the ingredients when she heard a knock at the door. "Adrien!" she gasped in surprise. It was Saturday, and although they hung out quite often, she hadn't made any plans for today. He was wearing a turquoise sweater with a green jacket on top, bringing out the color of his beautiful eyes. "Hi, love. I was wondering if you wanted to go to the park and walk around. Their having some kind of Fall Activity day." Marinette bit her lip. She wanted to, but what about her cookies? But the cookies would be there when she got back, and she took every opportunity she could get to spend time with Adrien. "Okay, sounds like fun."

"Even for the first day of fall, you can tell the days are just a little bit cooler. And just look at those leaves!" Marinette gasped at the beauty of the leaves, russet brown, crimson red, yellow gold. Hm, maybe a new pattern for a sweater? She was always designing new outfits, and sometimes in her head!

The park was bustling with people and Marinette linked her arm through her boyfriend's. "What should we do first?" "Marinette, you know your motto: Coffee first!" Marinette laughed. "Your right. And I haven't had any yet today."

As they stood in line for coffee, Marinette noticed a small sign that read: Scarecrow Model Contest!

It looked like there was some sort of prize, and Marinette nudged Adrien. "Oh, we are so doing that. Your a shoo-in to win a prize with your expert modeling skills. Unless, you'd feel uncomfortable," she said, hurriedly. "That contest is supposed to be fun, and there's no pressure of being perfect. I'd love to, sweetheart."

There was another line for the Scarecrow Contest, but Marinette or Adrien minded. They simply enjoyed being together, sipping their drinks, and exchanging a kiss now and then.

"Right this way, you two! Now, Celeste will help Marinette with her clothes and make-up, and Autumn will help Adrien."

It was fun putting on make-up and not a mask for once. After she changed clothes, and Celeste helped her stuff straw in her clothes. Marinette laughed aloud. Not only did the straw rustle, it also tickled!

"Okay," Celeste guided her to the back of the stage. "Adrien will be ready in a moment, and you two can walk out together."

Marinette heard Adrien before she saw him, and he approached her with a red face. "How do I look?" Marinette burst into giggles. "A little like the Scarecrow from the Wizard Of Oz!" If I were Cat Noir, I'd for sure win a prize as the Cowardly Lion. "Who knows? Maybe Hawkmoth will show up dressed like the Wicked Witch!" "Don't you mean Warlock? Oh, we're on!"

Arms linked, they walked out on stage, Adrien whispering instructions to her. Though Marinette's palms were sweating, she was having fun!

"And we have a winner! Marinette And Adrien!" "Love, we won!" Marinette squealed, as they waited with the other models. The prize turned out to be pumpkin ice cream.

"Wow, that was fun! What should we do next?" They both got their faces painted, and there was a coloring contest. They didn't win a prize there, but it was fun anyway.

Feeling tired but happy, they headed back to Marinette's, where Adrien stayed for dinner.

"Wasn't that nice that they gave pictures of the contest, Plagg?" Adrien sighed happily, as he hung the picture of himself and Marinette on his bulletin board. Now he would always have a special memory of this special day.

Marinette was glad she waited to make her cookies. Cookies could be made anytime, but the memories of today would last a lifetime.
