"Wow, you two are matching today! Don't you look adorable!" Alya told her friends, Marinette and Adrien. "We didn't plan it, but thanks."

Autumn had arrival, dressed to impress. In fact, at one of the parks the leaves had already turned colors, and Marinette could sit for hours on one of the benches, sketching the falling leaves.

Once they got to their desks, Marinette ripped an out a sheet of paper and scribbled a quick note to Adrien. "Want to take an Autumn walk with me after school?" "I'd leaf to," Adrien joked back, and Marinette smiled at a small leaf Adrien had drawn. He could be quite silly sometimes.

School pasted quickly, and before long, Marinette and Adrien were heading to the park. "Papa's planning a pumpkin carving contest soon," Marinette told Adrien. "He wondered if we'd like to help out. Your good with the little ones." "You can tell him yes, I'd love to. But I'm a softies when comes to kids. You know how to say no." "Okay, you got me there."

They reached the park and Adrien held the iron gate open, bowing to Marinette with a grin. "Ever the gentleman," she told him as she walked in. She stopped to tap his nose. "Or he just wants brownie points, in the form of brownies." "Hey, I was raised with manners. But if your offering to make me brownies…." he licked his lips.

"Someone I know has a sweet tooth," Marinette sang, as they walked under the autumnal canopy. "Yeah," Adrien leaned over to kiss her cheek. "I'm sweet on you." They stopped on the path, listening to the rustling of leaves, blowing gently in the wind. "I wish Paris was always this quiet," Marinette whispered, as Adrien pulled her close. "What would you rather have?" he asked, their foreheads now touching. "The sound of rustling leaves, or the sound of ocean waves?" "Oof, tough choice. I don't know if I can answer that now, but I do like the sound of your voice."

On days were there was a hard akuma to defeat, or when she was just feeling down, Adrien's soothing voice kept her spirits up.

"Marinette, look," Adrien whispered, turning her slightly. Silently, they watched three leaves spiraling down towards earth, like they were doing a dance. "Its finally fall, and I am falling for you," Adrien told her, as they resumed walking. "You fell for me awhile ago, unless there's something your not telling me," she nudged him.

It had been autumn too, when she fell for him, wasn't it? On a rainy thunderstorm day, under a umbrella admist a clap of thunder. "I fell for you under a umbrella, and I've been falling harder ever since."

"As I remember, you were so mesmerized by me, you closed the umbrella on yourself." Marinette groaned and turned pink. "Do you have to bring up that memory?" "I made my first real friend that day. And I'm so glad it was you."

Marinette's throat suddenly got tight. Besides Cat, Adrien was her very best friend. On her lowest moments as Marinette or Ladybug, Adrien had been right there with a kind word and a hug.

"You want to come over and make pumpkin spice?" Marinette asked. Adrien's eyes were very green and very soft when he answered. "You bet, pumpkin."

Marinette grinned and shook her head. She certainly loved Autumn, but even more she loved Adrien Agreste.
