2016
"Lydia? Are you okay?" Eddie asks a Spaniard. Lydia looks at him with hurt. She reaches for him, and the man holds her. She breaks down sobbing. Eddie sees why and starts to sniffle.
"Què he de fer, germà petit?" She questions him. Eddie is silent for a while.
(What should I do, little brother?)
"Anar a Colorado amb Sasha," Eddie says. Lydia sobs as Eddie comforts her.
(Go to Colorado with Sasha.)
"Eddie! Lydia!" A woman calls out. Eddie sighs.
"Aici, Sasha," Eddie calls out. A Romanian woman comes to them. Her dark eyes widen at the sight.
(Here, Sasha)
"Oh, Lydia, ce sa întâmplat?" She asks her sister. She takes the sobbing woman into her arms. Eddie's phone goes off. He answers it.
(Oh, Lydia, what happened?)
"Diaz," Eddie answers.
"Eddie? Where are you? Where's Chris?" Ramon's voice questions his son. Eddie curses in his head.
"I'm sorry, papi. Family emergency, and Chris is with Dean and Tommy," Eddie says, mentally cursing himself again. His dad doesn't know Dean and Tommy.
"Dean and Tommy?" Ramon questions.
"Family. Are you okay?" Eddie says and questions.
"I'm wondering where you are," Ramon answers him. Eddie hums and hangs up.
2019
"Makena, ndabizi! Nibyo! Ndabizi. Genda uhamagare Khashayar. Ntabwo mfite imyitozo yumwuga kubwibi.," Eddie sounds ruffled as he speaks with his sister. The others are snickering.
(Makena, I know! Okay! I know. Go call Khashayar. I don't have the professional training for this.)
"Bullshit, Eddie! Uzi icyo gukora, nkuko wabikoze mbere," Makena calls out.
(Bullshit, Eddie! You know what to do, as you have done before.)
"Nta mahugurwa yabigize umwuga afite! Sasha arabikora. Sasha yagombaga kunyura mu ntambwe!," Eddie counters. The woman huffs and walks away.
(I have no professional training for this! Sasha does it. Sasha had to walk me through the steps!)
"Estàs bé, germà petit?" Lydia questions her little brother. Eddie sighs.
(Are you okay, little brother?)
"No, no ho sóc. La cama d'en Buck ha estat aixafada i sento que no puc quedar-me amb ell. Cadascú de vosaltres em necessita per alguna cosa. Estic a punt de graduar-me. No estic menjant, Lídia. No havia dormit gens. estic cansat," Eddie confesses to his sister.
("No, I'm not. Buck's leg's been crushed, and I feel like I can't stay with him. Every one of you needs me for something. I'm about to graduate. I'm not eating, Lydia. I hadn't slept at all. I'm tired.)
Lydia is in the crowd cheering for her brother. He's done it. He finished school. However, she's sad, as it's just her.
2021
"Não sinto que não possa mais continuar, Nataile. Sinto que se continuar, me matarei. Preciso encontrar um terapeuta que eu possa consultar," Eddie confesses to his sister. Nataile feels sorrow for her brother.
(I don't feel like I can't go on anymore, Natalie. I feel like if I continue, I'll kill myself. I need to find a therapist I can see.)
"Eu posso te ajudar, irmãozinho. Eu vou encontrar alguém que você odiará," Nataile holds him.
(I can help you, little brother. I'll find you someone that you will hate.)
2022
"Hola?" Lydia's voice comes through. Eddie sighs.
(Hello?)
"Germana gran?" Eddie's voice is small and scared.
(Big sister?)
"Hola, germà petit. Què puc fer per tu?" Her voice is soft and gentle.
(Hi, little brother. What can I do for you?)
"On ets?" Eddie asks. He wants her with him. He wants to feel safe. She helps make him feel safe.
(Where are you?)
"Vinc a tu, germà petit," Lydia says. She opens the door and sees the house as a disaster.
"Eddie," She coos at the man. Eddie's sniffling and she holds onto him.
(I'm coming to you, little brother.)
"Estic aquí, Eddie. Estic aquí. Estàs segur. Ets a LA. Et tinc, germà petit. A dormir, germà petit," Lydia comfrots her littel brother.
(I'm here, Eddie. I'm here. You're safe. You're in LA. I got you, little brother. Go to sleep, little brother.)
Lydia sees her siblings coming and is in shock. The house is destroyed.
Natalie and Sasha go to their little siblings and soothe their brother. They get him to bed and go back to the group. Everyone's talking over each other and trying to figure something out. A man comes rushing in. Lydia sees a birthmark on his forehead.
"Evan Buckley?" She goes to him. The man turns to her. She has to look up at him.
"Where's Eddie?" He says in a panic tone.
"Asleep. What happened?" She asks. The family is quiet. They want to know how this happened.
"We got into a fight, and words were exchanged, and now I'm worried about Eddie," He says.
"What type of argument?" Natasha questions him. Buck looks down.
"Everyone thinks Eddie's cheating on me, with other people, but I know he isn't. I trust him, but the rest don't. He transferred out of the 118," Buck says. The group is pissed.
"I don't know what's happening or who he's helping, but I know he's not cheating. At some point, I thought so, too. I trust him to tell me the truth," Buck says, and people sigh.
"He's our little brother," Lydia tells the man, and Buck smiles.
"Can I take him to my place, and you make this place better?" Buck questions, and they grin. They can do this.
"I'm coming with you," Lydia tells him. Buck nods. He goes and gets Eddie.
The following day, Eddie wakes up to see that he's in Buck's bed. He hears laughter and sees Lydia and Buck talking.
"Lydia?" Eddie reaches for his sister. The woman wraps him in a hug.
"T'estimo, Eddie. Tens una bona parella, i estic content per tu. Tothom està arreglant la teva casa, però jo sóc aquí," Lydia says. Eddie starts to sob, and Buck leaves them alone.
(I love you, Eddie. You have a good partner, and I'm happy for you. Everyone is fixing your house, but I'm here.)
"Si us plau, no em deixis," Eddie sobs, and Lydia holds him close.
(Please don't leave me.)
"Estic aquí mateix, Eddie. Aquí mateix," Lydia answers him.
(I'm right here, Eddie. Right here.)
2023
"Eddie?" Eddie hears Bobby's voice coming through the waiting room. He sees the 118 in their gear and dirty.
"Captain Nash," Eddie responds. He flinches at the words. Buck looks at him.
"EDDIE! Ai venit! Mulțumesc, foarte mult pentru că faci asta. Natasha este insuportabilă chiar acum!" Sasha runs to her brother. Eddie laughs and feels him being dragged away. A few minutes later, Eddie comes out, tears in his eyes and laughing. Buck snorts.
(EDDIE! You came! Thank you so much for doing this. Natasha is unbearable right now!")
"Eddie?" Athena's tone is concerned. Eddie couldn't stop laughing, and Buck went to his partner.
"Breathe, Eds. Breathe," Buck rubs his back as Eddie tries to calm himself. His siblings are in town and know that means chaos. However, he loves seeing Eddie being open.
"Hi," Eddie says, breathless. Buck rolled his eyes.
"Hi. What was that about?" He asks. This time, Eddie rolls his eyes.
"Natasha's giving birth and is being a total wreck. Sahsa is logical and can't do emotions. She and Natasha fight all the time about it. This time, Caleb is there to break it up," Eddie says, and Buck laughs at how casual he sounds.
