Kim Possible: A Family Again

Chapter 6: Julia's Revenge (Part 1) (As Told By: Rose)

I was at the store when I got a contact on my communicator in my earpiece hidden in my curls "Come in, Agent Starr, I'm detecting something going on at your house, Ron and I are a little busy at the moment, maybe you should go check it out" Kim said to me as I remembered that Mika said she will stay home to fold the laundry. Something is wrong.

"I'm on it" I replied, and left the supermarket in a rush

"Be careful, I don't like where this is going" said Kim

"Neither do I, but good luck on your end" I replied back

"Thanks, go get'em, Marshmallow, Kim out" quipped Kim

I ran to my car, and went home as fast as I could. It was a stroke of luck that I wasn't pulled over by the cops. When I got home, the door was still locked like I left it. I opened the door, and as I got inside my phone began to buzz. I pulled it out of my jean pocket to a number that read 'restricted' on the phone screen. I waited to the last buzz "Hello?"

"If it went to voicemail that'd break my heart" said a voice

I recognized it immediately "You don't have a heart, Julia"

"That hurts my feelings" she mocked, I gritted my teeth

"You don't have those either" I retorted "what do you want?"

"Straight to business, I must say you still got it" said Julia

"It's simple, you took everything away from me, now I'm taking everything from you, you really do care for Mika? She really is your daughter? Look at your phone, it's noon" explained Julia on the other line. I checked my cellphone, and she was right "you have until midnight to find her, otherwise it's going to be two precious things that you'll lose"

"You're nothing to me, you better not hurt Mika" I growled

"The clock is ticking, Mommy Dearest" Julia replied

"Either find her, or your reunion will be at her funeral"

"Where is Mika? Tell me!" I demanded of my ex-daughter

"Now that's no way to talk to me, Mommy Dearest"

"But where's the fun in that? After all, the thrill of the hunt is in the chase" Julia bantered "tah-tah" she hung up on me, and now the 'game' is in motion. One thing I know about Julia is that she is not going to make this easy. From what I gathered in her conversation with me, there is a word that stood out: 'fun'. That can be any number of things

'Let the games begin' I thought to myself as I left home

With that, I got onto something a little smaller, but just as fast: A Lightning LS-218. Wearing a black leather jacket and a black helmet with a tinted eyeshield, I was off and out onto the road. The first place I checked was the mall. My eyes shifted around, and there was no sign of Mika. It made sense since there are too many innocent people here

My phone buzzed as I left the mall "Nice try, but wrong"

"Shut up, Julia" I growled, gritting my teeth behind my lips

"Tick-tock, tick-tock" Julia said mocking me on the other line

"On a funny note, should I start calling you 'Marshmallow'?"

"Wait until I get my hands on you" I said out of frustration

"Aww...that's the sweetest thing you've said to me all day" replied Julia and she made a light sigh like she was enjoying this. Who am I kidding? She is enjoying this "let me put it this way, we both saw you do something once and we'd both like to see you do it again" Julia hung up, and I checked the time on my cellphone. I have ten more hours left

'Where are you, Mika?' I thought as I began to worry

I put back on my helmet as I got an idea. I raced through the streets of Middleton, and slowed down around the restaurant row, but no sign of either Mika or Julia. Then it hit me like one of Mika's roundhouse kicks, and I turned around and raced off to the pool. Just then, my phone buzzed again "That was going to be my choice, but no, you're wrong"

"I should have spanked you more as a child" I retorted back

"Then again, you'd say 'hit me harder, because I'll do it again'."

"You really know me, I really was a 'bad apple'," replied Julia

"You know what 'The Osmonds' say about the bad apples"

"And you're still showing your horrible taste in music" said Julia "still, time's running out, tick-tock, tick-tock" I notice in her voice. I'm starting to get to her. As I went home, I sat at the dining room table, worrying about Mika and where she could be. If this game that Julia is playing is going to take nine hours, then that means Mika is not in Middleton

"Well played, Julia, well played" I thought to myself

I saw the final clue in my last conversation "Of course..."

Now I know where Mika is being held "Don't worry, Mika"

"Here comes 'Momma Bear'," I concluded with a warm grin

I zipped up 'Black Indigo' and zippered on the gloves and boots with the belt as the final touch. It was still light outside so I still had time on my side. I got in my Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, and drove off to where I'm certain that Mika is being held. I'll give credit where credit is due. Julia had me going for a bit. She really is our antithesis
