Mahanaxar had been completely remodeled for the occasion, both to accommodate more Valar if needed, and in the precise location of already present ones.
The most pertinent move was Namó and Oromë beside one another, on either side of Mellissë, so her sister - Oromë's Maia - and her Maia - Oromë's daughter - could stand beside both their relatives and their Valar.
The ceremony itself was short, as everyone already knew of the eight Valie, either by word of mouth or her frequent visits to just about every settlement the Second Singing had to offer.
The festival afterwards was therefor the most important bit, mostly because it was multicultural on a level never before seen. There were stands of all Children, the entire thing taking up almost as much area as a small city.
"I'm just happy this is going to last a week. I feel most wouldn't be even to able to cover the entire area in one day, let alone actually do anything beyond walking." Elrond chuckled, looking around him. They'd ended up in the corner of the Gondolindrim, in front of a stand with sunglasses that Celebrian was very intrigued by.
"I feel that people will complain it didn't last longer." Ereinion muttered, looking half-heartedly at the glasses their wife held out for inspection. "For whom exactly is this?"
"The boys." She beamed. "Though I saw some for you two as well, so those are next."

"Oh!" Egalmoth prayed for strength, because his husband had ended up in the part with the dwarves, and had turned into a five-year-old in a toy-shop.
Well, at least he'd found a way to enjoy the entire thing. "I'm getting us some lunch."
"Mhm..." Their bond was all concentration, so he shrugged at the dwarf manning the stand his husband had stalled out by and went to look for some food-stands.
"Lost someone?" Salgant slid up to him as he was considering the menu at a stand of Belegostian cuisine.
"Same as you, I have no doubt." He grinned at the closest thing to a law-son he'd ever get. "Gems or metals?"
"Tools, actually. There's a stand that is actually selling dwarven jewelry-making tools." The Lord of the House of the Harp chuckled, joining him in the perusal of the offered food-dishes.
"Ah, it's gems for me... well, Rog."
"In other words, next meeting no one can see because you're blinding us all."

"I really do not see the need." Irmo was being pulled along by his niece, Estë following quite willingly.
"But I do!" Mellissë chirped it, dragging her father's twin along. Her own twin was trailing them, tucked away under the arm of their aunt. "It's great and you have to try it."
"I am really in doubt about the repercussions this will have on me..." Still, it was telling that he didn't just slip from her grasp like a half-remembered dream. "What is this going to do to everyone that goes to sleep tonight?"
"That's probably why we're going for it so early, that it'll be gone by that time." Nienna mused, her cloak fading into that of Þossaica as they walked.
"But we have no clue what that even does to an Ainur!" Her brother squeaked, then yelped when his niece tugged extra hard on his arm. "I am not sure I am a good test-subject!"
"Don't worry, I am dragging Manwë there next, to see if the reaction will be universal." The Valie of Love grinned with all the doom her domain contained.
"So clearly Ainur with 'Mel' at the start of their name are just trouble all around." Estë snorted. "I look forward how the sky looks once that happens."
"Should we be encouraging her!?"
