A/N- just something to freshen the story.. no smut in this one!
They chatted about general police stuff, as Ziva sped through D.C.
Anna gripped her leg tighter around some turns, which made Ziva give a contented sigh.
Damn, she smelt nice.
Ziva had not been getting much attention lately, from Tony for some reason-
Maybe it was when she mentioned starting a family?
That talk was for another time..
Ziva parked up round the corner, and they walked arm in arm to the lookout house,
to avoid alerting the suspect. Tony was still watching his house, as they entered
the blacked out observation room.
Anna stumbled on some trailing cables, but Ziva caught her.
A- Thank you,. My night vision isn't like it used to be..
Z- You're welcome.
She guided her to a stool between her and Tony, and went to make some hot drinks.
There was no heating in this place, so coffee was the only thing keeping them going.
Tony whispered 'hello again', which seemed silly- no one could hear them talking,
from the street!
Ziva returned with three mugs, and some biscuits, on a makeshift tray.
Anna took one, and a sugar sachet.
Z- Do you want fresh milk, or one of those disgusting long life 'cream' pods?
We stocked up, from the office kitchen..
A- Plain black, is fine by me.
Tony gave a brief update, an showed Anna some photos taken earlier.
A- Yes, that's him. My boss will be very happy, when he's in custody!
T- there are too many people in the building, to make an arrest right now;
We don't don't even know if they are armed..
A- Best to assume they are.
How soon can we get backup?
Z- The FBI always have a team on standby, for this sort of thing. If it looks like it may
kick off, we can also call in SWAT.
A- I hope that's not needed!
Maybe wait until early morning, when they are all likely to sleeping?

T- We thought the same.
Get some rest, and I'll wake you in a couple of hours, to take the next watch.
A- ok, thanks.
Ziva showed her to a back room, where they had setup some sleeping bags, and blankets.
With the jet lag, Anna was asleep within minutes.
Ziva took watch, while Tony had a break to stretch out. He could never sit still, for very long.
T- The Brits must want this guy pretty bad, if they flew out here..

Z- Yes. He has done a lot of bad things, in the UK - and Europe, too.
T- Wow, yes. I just read through the rap sheet, they sent us. Gun running, extortion,
money laundering, drugs.. He's a one stop criminal shop.
Z- I am surprised, how he never got caught?
T- He was. Twice. But his fancy lawyers got him off.
Z- They offed him?
T- Off the charges. Some dubious technicality..
Z- Ah, I see. Well hopefully we keep him 'on', this time?
Tony chortled.
"I will go for a walk by, to see if anything is happening"..
Z- Ok. Have you got your stab vest on, just in case? And comms?
T- Nah, I will just walk up, naked.. of course I have gear!
Ziva smiled, at the thought of Tony in the buff. Arrest rates would rocket-
at least with any female suspects.?
Tony made his way out, on a now very quiet street.
Anna had roused, and came to join Ziva at the window.
A- Where's Tony gone?
Z- He is doing a 'walkabout'..
A- A walk-by? Àh, ok.
Very brave of him, not knowing who may be inside, though.
Z- He has done it, many times. A good tactic, to gain any real time intel. It will be very useful.
A- You like him, don't you?
Ziva blushed a little.
"He is a very good agent, I trust his instincts'.
Anna gave her a knowing look.
Z- OK. He is very handsome, too! But it is wrong, to have relationships at work..
They never seem to go as you expect?
A- I totally agree.
She didn't mention her short- lived fling, with her own DCI..
Tony came back, after about 10 minutes.
"I had a peek in the front windows- no one there, so I guess they are all upstairs, sleeping.
Z- Anything, round the back?
T- All quiet there, too. Just a couple of cars, and a very strong smell of weed.
Z- They cut the garden?
Anna giggled. "Weed is slang, for Marijuana-
There must be a lot, if you can smell it from outdoors.."
T- Agreed. I will call in ATF, for an early morning raid.
Z- Very well. You get some rest after that. Me and Anna will keep lookout, in case
anything changes..
T- OK, then. Night all.
