Hi Readers: And welcome to another day of chapters. A day where I plan on giving you everything you've ever wanted and more. Thanks again for reading my story and I hope that you guys continue to enjoy it for a long time. Now, let's get back to the story.
Chapter Twenty-Five
She could hear the clacking of the keys on her husband's laptop as she woke up, as she woke up without his strong arms wrapped around her; rather, she heard her husband on his laptop doing something. Something that may be related to work but may not be related to work. She just hoped that it was the later, as she knew that her husband was on vacation; at least, she hoped that he was on vacation right now as she wanted to enjoy some time with him. But still, she would understand if her had to work, which is why she decided to just stay still and roll over to see just what her husband was in the midst of doing. What he was doing on his laptop this afternoon, only to see that he was doing a bit of work. But just what type of work? Well, it wasn't much (as far as she could tell); rather, he was just composing an e-mail. The type of e-mail that he was writing? She had no clue, but she could see that Matt was quite intent on writing it as he was zoned in on his laptop. Hell, he didn't even notice that she was awake at the moment; that's how concentrated her husband is on his laptop. Then again, when Matt gets an idea in his head, he always does it as soon as he can.
And right now, that's precisely why Matt was currently sitting up in bed as he composed an e-mail to the company; a company-wide e-mail that was going to give them an update as to what was going on. And while his sister could do that, Matt felt that (as the CEO) he had an obligation to his staff and fellow executives to tell them what was going on of later; and he had to update them himself rather than have other people tell them what was going on. And that's precisely what Matt is in the midst of doing as he wrote an e-mail.

Subject: Update RE: Life & Whereabouts
Hi Everybody:
I'm sending out this mass e-mail out to the entire company to let you guys know about some updates in my life. As you may have noticed, I am not at the headquarters as of late; and there are some reasons for that. Those are due to the fact that I am currently on vacation with my wife Alexandra. Yes, you guys heard that right; I am not married to Dr. Hallie Thomas, nor am I expecting a child with her. In fact, I want to tell you guys about what's going on with that; and the simple thing is that she was never pregnant with our child. And that's precisely why I ended our engagement, before reuniting with my girlfriend whom you have all met. Alexandra Jacobs. But now, her new name is Alexandra Jacobs-Casey and we've been married for a few days now, which is why I am not at work, nor am I working at the moment. It's due to the fact that me and Alex are currently on our honeymoon/babymoon. Yes, you heard that right; we are also expecting a child with each other. And that's precisely why I am not going to be at the office for a while. Rather, I am going to be staying at my home in Florida, which is where I am taking my vacation and where I am going to be working from for a while.
This is due to the fact that I plan on working from home (or the Miami Office) so that I can take it easy and just relax after all the stress that you can only imagine what's been going on. However, I would please ask that we keep things professional when it comes to what I am going to answer when it comes to queries; I have no plans to answer any questions with regards to my personal life, other than if Alex and the baby are okay. And I will only do so when I am off my honeymoon/babymoon. And I am just not sure when that will be, as I just want to take my time and get some time to rest and take it easy with the woman I love; and that's precisely what I am going to do right now. I hope that you guys have a good weekend and a great work week. If you need anything, my sister Christie will be Interim Chairwoman and CEO. However, for the teams who are working on the Houston Housing Project and Southside Estates; I am going to be more involved as I have time to do so. I am taking a lot of pride in those projects, and I want to try and put a bit of personal time on it. I will let you know if I have anything to say about that in the future. Now, this is all the general staff need to know.

Hello Board of Directors and Corporate Executives:
I have already written you in the previous e-mail that has been sent to the entire staff, which is the prologue to this story; however, this e-mail is going to be more related to the general operations and leadership of the company while I am away and on vacation with my new wife. More specifically, who is going to be taking my place as the head of the company on an interim basis, while still talking and consulting with me. And that woman who has graciously accepted the role of interim Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer will be my amazing sister Christie Casey Jordan. Now, I am not sure what my sister is going to do when it comes to Casey Apparel. However, I would like to ask Hannah Adams to step up and assist my sister. And if my sister says no, you have an order from the Majority Owner and Full-Time Chairman and Chief Executive Officer to push and assist her in whatever way you think you can. Thank you so much for doing that, and I appreciate all you have done for the company as we are really just fixing things once more.
Now, I hope that you guys have a good month, and I will see you when I see you; and I may be joining in some meetings in the future. But for now, I am going to take it easy and just relax. Thanks again for all of your tireless work and years of dedication to the company, as well as all the assistance you have given me when it comes to me getting my footing in the business. Quick Note:
I just want to let you know ahead of time that I am thinking of possibly re-structing the company. However, I can assure you that we will not be laying off any employees, nor are any corporate executives going to be loosing their jobs. We are just going to make things streamlined. Also, I feel like I want to start working more hands on in some projects; so, I am going to need to work some things out so that people can oversee more of the company on my behalf…while I can explore more projects. I am not sure whether you have seen the e-mails that I have sent out to the general staff, but I thought I would just reach out to you and give you an update as well. Per the e-mail I sent to the entire staff, I let them know that I am going to be working in Florida for a while as I take some time away from Chicago. And that's precisely why I am writing you today. I wanted to let you know that I may come and work out of the Miami office should I need to have a meeting. As well, I would ask that you please get the IT team there at the office and set up an office for me to use when I want to work there. Preferably, I would like to have the office that is (a) the largest and (b) the one that's attached to the video conferencing room. And while I do know that may be your office, I would like to have that office as it will help me out. Thank you very much Gabriel and I hope that you understand that I'm doing for the sake of my family. Thanks again for your help ahead of time, and I can't wait to see how the office looks. Taking a breath after writing three consecutive e-mails, Matt soon went to go check his banking so that he can go put some funding in the company's general account so that Christie can access it much easier; while also ensuring that Rachel Davis (the company's Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Human Resources, Payroll Division) and Connor Valdez (the company's Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Research and Development) have access to the company finances. It just makes things a lot easier for the both of them, which is precisely why he decided to do it. And now that they have that under control, he can let out a sigh of relief and just take it easy for the sake of the company, while also relaxing with his wife some more. The wife who was now awake and placing his hand on Matt's arm as he sat up in bed. "Hey." Turning his head, Matt smiled as he looked down at the woman he loves. "Oh, hey." Closing his laptop, Matt got a bit nervous. "Ok. No hiding. We're married. We're done with hiding. What are you doing?" Matt sighed as Alex asked him that question. "I was just finishing with a bit of work." Alex sighed. "Hey, it's Sunday and I thought that you weren't going to work."
Matt nodded, agreeing with his wife as he turned his head and leaned over her. After which, he kissed her softly and just smiled as he loved his wife so much. "I love you." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that he loves her. "I know you do, and I am so glad that we're married, but you already broke a promise to me and worked." Matt sighed as he looked into Alex's eyes. "I had to do this work so that I could keep that promise to you. The promise that I wouldn't work for a bit." Alex just looked at her husband as he told her that. "Babe, you just worked." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Listen, let me go put my laptop away; while I explain." Alex agreed with her husband, while watching as he got up from their bed. And damn was that a real turn on, especially as she watched him get up out of bed in those tight boxers of his; and that's precisely what she decided to tell her husband. "God, I love the sight of you walking away in your boxers like that. It's such a turn on." Matt agreed, while also carrying his laptop over to the desk that he has here in his room so that he can set it down and concentrate on his wife.
The woman he loves, the mother of his child. And that's precisely what he was going to do now that his laptop was put away and he was on his way back to bed. "So, why exactly were you working?" Matt sighed. "I needed to sign some documents. I needed to give my sister the powers of the CEO as well as the financial team power to access the finances. I really need to change that, but I just haven't." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that. "And I also sent an e-mail to the office in Miami telling the head of the office that I am going to work there, which means that he needs to vacate the head office; the head office that I am going to be using that office." Alex smiled as Matt asked said that, while also watching as he made his way back over to her. After which, he smirked as he looked at the most beautiful pregnant woman in the entire world; his beautiful wife, and the woman he loves. "God, I am so glad that we're here with each other." Alex agreed with her husband. "And I'm glad that you officially took the time off that you need to take. I hope you know that this is something that you need babe." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case.
He knew just how much he needed to take some time off with the woman he loves, which is precisely why he sent those e-mails. "And that's precisely why I sent those e-mails, so that I could take some time off with the woman I love as we start this new life with each other." Alex agreed with Matt, while smirking as she sat up in bed and leaned back against her pillow; meanwhile, her husband sat down on his side of the bed and smiled as he went ahead and looked at the most beautiful woman in the entire world. The love of his life and the only woman that he can see himself being with for a lot of time. And now that they're married, he just feels so incredibly blessed that this is their life. The life that they have with each other, now and forever. "So, you have a good nap?" Alex agreed with her husband, as she most certainly did have a good nap. "I did, and I am so glad that I got a chance to take a nap. I mean that." Matt agreed with his wife, while smiling as he got close to her. After which, he put his hand on her stomach. "Hey, you're pregnant Alex. I don't care how far along you are; I want you to get the rest you need whenever you need it." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling.
After all, that's something that she already really likes doing. She loves getting the rest she needs, especially when it means that she can cuddle up to the most amazing man in the entire world. Her sexy husband, Matthew Casey. But first, she needs him to get back in bed with her. "You know, I would really like to get some more rest; but I need something first." Smiling, Matt agreed with Alex. "What do you want to eat?" Alex shook her head, as that wasn't what she needed; at least, not yet. Rather, she just wanted to cuddle up to her husband as he held her in bed again. However, she first looked at the time. "Holy shit, is that the time?" Turning his head, Matt saw that it was already 5. "Holy shit, I guess it is." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, smiling due to the fact that it meant that they were even further into the day than they thought. "So, I think we both know that we need to eat soon." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case; especially when it came to the fact that she was pregnant with their child. And that's precisely why he decided that he was going to ask his wife what she wanted to eat. "So, what do you want to eat?"
Alex smiled at her husband asked her that question. "I don't care, as long as I get a very sexy desert." Matt smirked and agreed with Alex as she said that, well aware that was the case. After which, he leaned over Alex and smiled as he kissed the woman he loves softly. "God, I just love you so much and I am so glad that we're having a baby. This is a team come true and I am so glad that you're the woman who will be the mother of our child." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that. "What do you say you go downstairs and make me some chicken pasta with the leftover chicken?" Matt smiled. "Are you going to stay up here? Or are you coming to join me?" Getting up, Matt made his way over to his dresser so that he can grab his clothes; not that Alex wanted him to war them when he looks so sexy in his tight boxers, which is what she was more than ready to tell him. "First of all, I am going to come downstairs. And two, you are not wearing clothes right now." Turning his head as he heard Alex tell him that, Matt already had a feeling why that was the case. "Let me guess, you like the fact that I'm just wearing boxers for you?" Alex agreed with her husband as he asked her that.
She absolutely loves it when he's just wearing his tight boxers, which is why she doesn't want him to wear anything on top of them. "And that's why you aren't wearing anything on top of them as you go make us some supper." Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that, smiling as he made his way back over her. After which, he leaned over her and put his hand on her neck; kissing her softly, he smirked due to the fact that he's very happy at the moment. And damn is he turned on when it comes to just how gorgeous his wife is. "God, I am so happy that you're my wife." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that. "And you're also happy that I'm pregnant." Matt agreed with his wife, as that most certainly is the truth; after which, he bent down and kissed her again before kissing her cheek softly. "You better be wearing your underwear and that dress shirt I like." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, smiling as they were both happy right now. "Okay. Now, how about you go make us some food." Matt agreed with his wife, before getting up and going to walk away so that he can go make them supper; while at the same time, he looked down at the dogs. "C'mon you two."
Cassie and Theo then got up from their beds and rushed away with Matt so that they can head downstairs, something that Alex found adorable; while also thinking about just how sexy her husband is when he walks away in those tight boxers that she loves oh so much.
Alex's POV:
God, the sight of Matt walking away in those sexy, tight boxers of his always turns me on. I can't explain it, but there's just something about it that makes me smile; that makes me happy that I have the honor of calling that gorgeous man my husband. And not just my husband, but also the father of my child. And I am even happier about that, the fact that he's the father of our child. We're going to have a baby with each other, and I can already see Matt being the best father in the entire world. He's just going to love me and our baby so much, which is something that he's already doing while I'm pregnant with said child. The baby that is both his and mine all at once. And while I do love being Matt's wife, there's just something about being pregnant with Matt's child that makes me even happier; along with the fact that this is just such a miracle. The way a human life can just grow inside of me the way it is right now is the best feeling in the entire world. And I can just see that Matt is extremely happy that he's going to be a father, that we're going to be parents; because that's something that we're both extremely happy about. Over the fact that we're having a baby. Something that I've yet to tell my best friend, and I just can't wait to tell her. But what I didn't know, is that she already knew, which is why she was calling me right now. She was calling me because Matt must've said something in an e-mail. And now, I was going to have to tell her.
Well, not tell her due to the fact that she already knows; but just talk to her about how this is the first time that she was hearing about this. And let's just say that if I wanted to be a mind reader, I might actually have a talent when it comes to it; because I was right when it came to the reason why Mikaela was calling me, as she said it the moment I put my phone up to my hear. "Hello?" And that's when Mikaela yelled. "WHAT'S THIS ABOUT YOU BEING PREGNANT!" Pulling my phone away from my ear, I took a breath due to the fact that was not something that I wanted to hear. I didn't want to hear her yell into my ear. "Ok. Can you please not yell into my ear? I literally just woke up from a nap." Mikaela laughed as I said that. "Sure, you mean you were having sex with your husband!" I was shocked as I heard her say that. "Yeah, because I was having sex with my husband while he was writing an e-mail!" Mikaela thought about it and just agreed with me when I said that, as that made sense now. "Yeah, that doesn't seem practical." I agreed with Mikaela as she said that, because that most certainly is the truth. "Hell, I didn't even know that he was going to say something; but I'm glad that he did due to the fact that I love the fact that people now know that I'm pregnant, at least the company does." Mikaela agreed with me. "And it makes a lot of sense why you moved down to Miami. You want to start fresh with your family in a new city."
I agreed with Mikaela as she said that, as that most certainly is the truth. "Yeah, and we just needed time away with each other. We need time to take it easy and just be away from people. However, keep where we are to yourselves. We don't want the press to find us and cause us trouble." Mikaela agreed with me when I said that, as that most certainly is something that she can do for us. "I promise, I can do that for my best friend and future godson or goddaughter?" I laughed. "Get in line behind my sister-in-law." Mikaela agreed with me as I told her that. "Which one? The one that we work for? Or Abby?" I snickered. "My sister-in-law. I think we might even ask my husband's best friend to be the godfather due to the fact that Matt's the godfather to his kids. Not sure. All I know is that I am so happy that we're having a kid. This is exactly what we both want right now. We both want to have this baby already and we're both ecstatic over the fact that we're having a baby. I mean, sure, we already have our dog babies; but there's just something about having a human baby that will make everything even better." Mikaela agreed with me when I said that. "So, how far along are you?" I smiled when Mikaela asked me that question. "I'm six weeks pregnant. Hell, maybe we should've waited another week before we tell anybody; but I just couldn't keep it from you. I also told my brother and parents." And that's when I actually got a text from Marc.
Marc: Congratulations again to you and Matt. I just got the e-mail that he sent. XO Marc & Abby.
Alex: Thanks Marc. Maybe you can do me a favor and keep Sacha's clothes? We'll need them next year.
Marc: Yeah, not the clothes that she's wearing right now. The e-mail said that you're staying in Florida!
Alex: Yeah, we are. We need a fresh start, away from the drama that comes with being in Chicago.
Marc: Yeah, I can see that. Do you want me to let you know about Aunt Melinda?
Alex: I already asked mom to do that. I've got that under control. On the phone with Mik.
Marc: Of course, you are. I'm coming at Christmas. Make sure that we have a room ready.
Alex: I promise Marc. And shut up, I love you and Mik as my siblings. Now, I got to go.
Marc: Love you sis. Congrats again.
Smiling as I finished texting my brother, I went back to the conversation that I was having with Mikaela. "Hey, sorry about that. My brother." Mikaela agreed with me when I said that. "Let me guess, his congratulations and stuff?" I agreed with Mikaela as she asked me whether he was giving me congratulations. "Yeah, and just giving me his reply to the e-mail that Matt just send out. He also said that he's coming at Christmas. Get out of the cold." Mikaela agreed when I said that. "I'd love that idea. I just hope that I can convince Shay to try and come with me, she might want to stay here so that she can spend time with Gabby." I agreed with Mikaela as she said that. "Hey, you don't need to always spend time with Shay. You can always leave her behind and come be with your best friend over New Year's Eve." Mikaela sighed. "It's our first holidays as a couple, and I want to be with her. Sorry." I agreed with Mik as she told me that, as that makes sense. "Right, that makes sense. And that's fine babe. You spend time with your girl and take it easy with her. I want to do the same with Matt anyways, ahead of us having a baby next Christmas." Mikaela agreed with me when I said that. "Next summer, but who's counting. What are you guys hoping for?" I smiled. "I want a son, so that we can carry on the Casey name."
Mikaela agreed and understood what I was talking about, especially since she already knows that Matt is the last Casey male who can carry on the family name. "And I am sure that you guys will have a son at some point." I agreed with Mikaela as she told me that, smiling as it's precisely what they both want. "Listen, I can only imagine that you don't want to spend time talking to your boss' wife on a Sunday. Now, are you working tomorrow? What's happening anyways?" Mikaela laughed. "Last time I checked, you're on vacation. So, I am not going to talk to you about that. I am going to make sure that you relax and just take it easy. It's exactly what you need to do. It's what Matt wants you to do anyways." I laughed as Mik said that. "Well, listen. Matt is making some supper for me downstairs and I want to spend some time with my man as we hold each other close and take it easy. Sorry about rushing off the phone." Mikaela agreed with me as I said that. "Hey, I understand. It's also your honeymoon and probably just want to take it easy and just relax with each other right now." I agreed with Mikaela, as that's precisely what me and Matt want to do with each other. We want to take it easy and just relax with each other, as we concentrate on what matters the most right now; each other and our love.

What's that all about?" I sighed. "Matt wants to just streamline things at the company because there's a lot of redundancies, and he wants to make sure that things are just easier to run." Mikaela agreed with me as I said that, as that makes sense. "Yeah, that makes sense. I know that he has a lot of executives that he needs to work with. I can only imagine just how much time that takes away from you and your marriage." I smiled. "Already two days in and I'm already pregnant with our baby." Mikaela agreed with me as I said that. "Technically, you were married before you got married bitch!" I was shocked. "Who you calling a bitch? Last time I checked, you were the one that told me that you and Shay were looking at surrogacy to have a baby two months after you thought about it. Girl, you need help to get through that!" Mik agreed with me as I said that, as that's the truth.
After all, it's a long and hard process that she's going to need to deal with for a while. "So far so good, and we are just looking at it. Not sure what we're going to do. But, we're not concentrating on my future hypothetical baby. We're talking about the fact that you're pregnant with your first child with your husband, the man you love more than anything in the entire world; you must be absolutely thrilled and just over the moon over the fact that you guys are having a baby." I agreed with Mik as she said that, as that's precisely how we're feeling. We're both extremely happy over the fact that we're having a baby. "It's something that Matt's wanted for years, especially since he learned that Hallie was faking being pregnant. And now that I'm really pregnant, I can just see how truly happy he is. This is just what we need, and we're both very happy when it comes to what we're doing. Plus, my man is really hot. God, the hormones that I have during the pregnancy are racing so much." Mik agreed with me when I said that. "Oh, I am not listening to this. I do not want to hear about your sex life with my boss." Alex laughed. "You mean my husband; well you need to take it easy and just relax. I promise that we're going to have a bunch of fun and take it easy with each other." Mik agreed with me and smiled.
After which, I decided that I wanted to go outside and be with my husband. "Listen, I think that I want to go downstairs and be with the man I love. He's making supper for the both of us and I really want to just go spend time with him right now."Mikaela agreed with me as I said that, probably already well aware that was the case. "I already knew that was going to happen at some point. You were going to want to go downstairs and be with him as you have a lot of fun with each other. And I mean that, you guys need to relax and take it easy with each other as you have a lot of fun with each other. Just remember that right now you're on your honeymoon rather than working right now." I laughed as Mik told me that. "Honey, I'm not working ever again. I retired from modelling." Mikaela was shocked as she heard me say that. "What? You retired. Why?" I sighed. "I want to be with my husband more often than I could if I was still modelling. And now that we're having a baby with each other, I feel even happier about the idea of me retiring and taking it easy when it comes to me wanting to be home more often." Mikaela agreed with me, well aware that was the case right now.
But the truth was, she had no doubt in her mind that this was going to happen; hell, the moment she knew that her best friend was in a relationship with Matt (a permanent relationship), she knew that her time as a model was going to end soon. "I knew the moment you and Matt started an official relationship that your time as a model was winding down. I knew that you weren't going to be modelling for much longer due to the fact that you want to be with your husband much more often, especially now that you're pregnant with your child. I mean, you're going to be a mom. Oh, I already call dibs on throwing your baby shower! Make sure that your in-laws, husband, and everybody know that. I'm your best friend and I am throwing you the baby shower. After all, you took away my Bachelorette party!" I agreed with Mikaela as she told me that, before deciding to make her feel better. "I promise, you're still going to get to throw me a Bachelorette party." Mikaela was confused as I told her that. "How? You're already married." I agreed with Mik, before reminding her that I never got a real wedding. "I'm going to want a real wedding. A nice, big wedding with a big gown."
Mikaela agreed with me as I said that. "Oh god, that's going to be fun. Maybe you guys can do it when the baby can walk, then they can either be your ring bearer or flower girl." I just smiled at that idea, as that most certainly is something that I plan on doing. I plan on making sure that my baby can walk when we do our vow renewal, as I want to have them either be the ring bearer or flower girl. "Oh, don't you know it. And I already know that I'm going to have the best wedding in the entire world, as Matt is going to give me the best wedding in the entire world. He's already determined to give me exactly what I want at the end of the day. He's going to make sure that I get my dream come true." Mik laughed. "Oh, I can see Matt doing that. I mean, he loves you more than anything in the entire world; especially now that you're making him a father, which has always been his biggest dream come true." I agreed with Mikaela as she told me that, well aware that was the case. "God, the smile that he has on his face when it comes to him thinking and talking about the baby is just the best. He's so happy about being a father, and I just love how it's going to be when I'm growing."
Mikaela agreed with me once more, more than ready to have that happen. "Listen, I hope you guys are happy and just have fun with each other. I want you to relax and take it easy with each other." I agreed with Mikaela as she said that, as that's precisely what I want to do as well. I want to take it easy and just spend some time with my husband as we hold each other close and have fun with each other. "Well, I am going to let you do. Now, thanks for calling Mikaela and I can't wait to see you again. Call me if you ever want to come visit, because we will most certainly host you guys in the future. Just make sure you call so that you don't surprise us." Mikaela agreed with me as I told her that, well aware that she can't do that to me. "Yeah, that makes sense. Now listen, I hope that you have a good time in Miami on your honeymoon." I agreed with Mikaela as she told me that. "Thanks babe. Have a good day." Hanging up, I smiled as I went to take a breath and went to set my phone down on my side table. After all, that's exactly where it needs to be right now. It needs to be on my side table, while I spend some time with the man of my dreams. My gorgeous husband, Matthew Casey.
