Chapter Twenty-Six
God, this feeling is the best. The feeling of her husband's strong arm wrapped around her as she cuddled up to him in the kitchen, while he wore his tight boxers, and she wore the sexy lingerie that her husband enjoys more than anything in the entire world. The lingerie he was currently running his hand up and down her back, before he placed his hand on her butt. Meanwhile, Alex wrapped her arms around his waist and just smiled as they both held each other close in the kitchen while her husband made them some pasta; the pasta that she always loves to share with him when they're together and holding each other close, something that they plan on doing with each other for the rest of their lives. And if this is how Matt is going to get to hold his wife as he stood in the kitchen and cooked for her, then he plans on cooking for her a lot in the future, which is precisely what he decided to tell Alex as he pressed his lips to her forehead. After which, he turned his head and smiled as he looked down at his beautiful wife. "I hope you know that I want this each and every time I cook now." Snickering as she rubbed Matt's back, Alex smiled as she looked up at the man of her dreams; while he moved his hand to the side of her face and bent down to kiss her softly. "I can only assume that's a request and not a demand?"
Gently stroking her cheek with his thumb as he put his hand on her neck once more, Matt smiled as he stared into Alex's eyes as they both held each other close. "Why can't it be both? I mean, my wife does live to please me and make me happy." Alex laughed as she heard Matt say that, as that most certainly is the truth. She lives to make the man of her dreams happy, and she knows that's precisely what he is right now as they both held each other close here in the kitchen. "I hope you know that by holding me like this, you make me very happy." Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife as she told him that, smirking as he turned his attention back to the pasta that he was making for them. "Oh, I have no doubt in my mind that you're very happy right now. I also know this due to the fact that there's nowhere else you'd rather be right now." Alex took a breath as Matt said that, before letting out a sigh as that wasn't entirely the truth, which is something that Matt could tell as he once more looked down at the woman of his dreams. "Hey, what's wrong baby? Everything okay?" Alex took a breath as she looked up at the man of her dreams shortly after he asked her that question.
Placing her hand on his chest, she then proceeded to tell him what's wrong. "I guess, maybe it was just the flight; I just guess I haven't been sleeping the best for a few days. Hell, since it all started. And I hate that, because us getting back together should've been something that made me sleep better and not worse." Moving his hand to hold Alex's hand, Matt looked down into Alex's eyes as he was concerned about her health; after all, he doesn't want her to be standing with him like this if she's tired. If she's tired, then she should be laying down and taking it easy either on the couch or in bed. "Babe, look at me. Is everything okay?" Alex sighed. "I guess." Thinking about it, Alex went to answer her husband's question honestly. "I think it's just all hitting me that this is my reality now." Matt was confused as he heard his wife say that, while also stirring the pasta that he was making for the both of them; after which, he went to ask her what she meant. What she was talking about as she told him that. "Hey, what are you talking about babe? I'm confused." Alex just looked at Matt. "Things are just starting to get real, and I guess I'm starting to think about how my life is changing."
Matt nodded. "In a good way, right?" Alex agreed with Matt. "Of course. I guess, it's just the business part that doesn't really seem real. You were always on vacation, or taking personal time when we were together before so that you didn't need to be disturbed by work; even though you told them you were on business when you were just with me…" Matt then started to see where this is going. "Let me guess, you're just not used to the business yet. The fact that you're married to me now, which means that you're also married to the business?" Alex sighed, as she hated that she thought of it that way; but that was precisely how she thought about it. By marrying Matt, she married the business. And as much as Matt says he can try and untangle them, he can't since he runs the company. "Listen, I am just worried that you might work too much; even when we're on vacation. I mean, the first day and you already worked. Matt, is that going to be our life? Where I need to always know that you might need to cancel our plans and work." Matt could see why Alex thought that and took a breath as he quickly stirred the pasta, before getting close to his wife and wrapping his arms around her.
After which, Alex did the same as she looked up at the man of her dreams. The man she loves more than anything in the entire world. The man she knows loves her more than anything in the entire world, which just makes her feel stupid that she's even thinking this way. "You know what, this is stupid as to why I'm even thinking this way. I mean…" Moving his hand to the side of Alex's face, Matt leaned in and kissed the woman he loves. He kissed her and just took things nice and slow with the woman he loves. The woman he craves and wants to make happy, which is precisely what he's doing as he takes things nice and slow with her, while also giving her the reassurance that everything will be okay. "Babe, listen to me. I love you and you're my world. And soon, you and our baby will be my world too. That will never change Alex." Alex agreed with her husband as she listened to him mas he spoke to her. "Alex, you're the woman of my dreams. I want to be with you, and I am not going to do anything to hurt our marriage; I promise you that right now." Alex agreed with her husband, smiling as she stepped close to him as she stared up into those gorgeous eyes she loves.
After which, she put her hands on his muscular chest and leaned up to kiss him softly; in response, Matt put his hand on the side of Alex's face as they both took things nice and slow with each other here in their kitchen. "Alex, I love you more than anything in the entire world. I promise you that will never change. You're my one and only now and forever. I mean that." Alex agreed with her husband, smirking as she knew that was the truth; especially since they're married. "I know Matt, because we're married." Matt smiled as he heard Alex tell him that. "And someday, in the future, I'm going to give you the wedding you deserve, a real wedding rather than a courthouse wedding. You deserve the world, because you are my world. Never doubt that babe." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, smirking as she leaned up and kissed him softly. She kissed him nice and slowly as a way to tell him that she most certainly doesn't doubt the fact that she's his world. "There was never a doubt in my mind that I was your world, and always will be." Matt smirked as he heard Alex say that. "Just curious, we going to eat supper down here? Or are we going to sit in bed as we eat?"
Turning her head, Alex smiled as she looked at the living room. "There's that nice living room where we can eat and cuddle, maybe stay down here for a bit for a change of scenery." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, as that most certainly is something they can do. "We'll see, because we both know that we're pretty hormonal right now." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that was the case. She knew that they were hormonal, which is precisely why she wants to get away from him for a bit. "And that's why I want to go sit down, so that we can calm down a bit. That way, you can concentrate on making supper; while I go ahead and sit down and watch some TV." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "Ok. One last thing first." Alex smiled, already well aware of just what he wants; so, she decided to kiss him softly. And damn did Matt love the feeling of her lips on his. "God, I love you so much." Alex agreed with Matt, smirking as she already knew that was the case. "I love you too, now go sit down and take a load off mommy." Alex smiled, as that's precisely what she's going to be next year. She's going to be a mommy. "Same goes for you."
Matt smiled. "When supper is ready and we're eating. We have a couple days to relax anyways." Alex shook her head. "Oh no, we have plans tomorrow." Turning his head as he walked up to the fridge, Matt was confused. "What are you talking about Ms. Casey?" Smiling, Alex went to walk away. "Actually, just wait babe. Let me get you some water." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, deciding to wait for the water that he plans on giving her. "Good idea, it's dry here." Matt agreed with his wife as he went to fill up some water for her. "Maybe while you're still here, you can tell me what plans you're going to rope me…I mean, want me to help you with." Alex laughed. "Good save. But it's actually something you might like too." Alex then decided to make her way back over to Matt, as she already had a feeling that she was going to get another kiss when she tells him what she wants to do. "Oh, really?" Alex agreed with her husband as he asked her that question, smiling as she felt him wrap his arm around her just like she thought he'd go; while at the same time, he also filled up her water in the fridge. "And what might that be?" Turning her head, Alex smiled at her husband.
The man of her dreams, and the father of her child; the child with whom they're going to celebrate their first Christmas as a family of three next year. But this year, they get to celebrate their first Christmas husband and wife; something that makes Alex extremely happy. "Well, I wouldn't mind bringing a bit of Christmas spirit into the house." Smiling as Alex said that, Matt already knew right away what she wanted to do; she wanted to decorate their house for Christmas. Decorate their home for the holidays, which is something that he most certainly does love the sound of. He loves the sound of them decorating their home for Christmas, which is precisely what they're going to do tomorrow. "I promise, we can do that tomorrow; on the condition that you take it easy and just relax. Remember, you are pregnant." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, while walking over to the living room as she already knew that was the case. "Matt, I just started being pregnant. I'm fine and I can take it easy. If I can have sex with you, then I can walk around the house." Matt laughed as he heard Alex say that, well aware that was the case. "And I think we both know that you love it."
Alex agreed with her husband, blushing due to the fact that she's incredibly happy; especially since Matt is her husband. "I hope you know how truly happy you make me babe." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, as he feels the same way. "And you make me really happy too, especially ever since we agreed to move down here; there's just something about being in a new city and getting a new start that makes me happy." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, smiling as she grabbed the blanket that they have on the couch. After which, she covered herself up and smiled as she watched Matt check on the water to see if it was boiling. "So, you ok with making pasta? I know you hate doing it due to the fact that it takes a long time." Alex agreed with her man as he said that, while also looking at him in his tight boxers. "I'm not going to complain if I can look at my man in what you're wearing." Checking on the water, Matt smiled as he went to grab the pasta so that he could get it ready; bending down, he opened the cupboard and got it out of the cupboard. And damn did that turn Alex on. "Tease!" Matt smirked as he got up and turned to face the woman he loves.
He then smiled due to the fact that he loves the woman of his dreams more than anything. "Shut up, you tease me all the time; and I'm owed a lot of teasing because of how sexy you always looked when you were at the office on photoshoot days. I mean, you wear the sexiest of dresses." Alex smirked as she looked at the man she loves, well aware that was the case. "Oh, don't say anything. You always wore those dress shirts down to show off the top of that toned chest. And then, you teased me when we were in the bathroom at work. Oh, and in the penthouse." Alex smirked and agreed with Matt. "Oh, don't complain; you loved when we were in bed in the penthouse." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Yes, yes I did. I loved it when we had fun with each other in the penthouse." Alex agreed with her husband and just smiled as she turned the TV on while getting comfortable on the couch. That way, she could just take it easy and relax while Matt made them some supper. "I'm going to watch TV, okay?" Matt agreed. "Go ahead babe, I'm cooking so you might as well watch something." Alex agreed with her husband, smiling at him.
Normally, they'd enjoy a nice wine to go with their pasta, sometimes a read wine, other times a white wine. But tonight, they can't have wine; and that's because of the most amazing thing in the entire world, due to the fact that they're expecting their first child with each other. And if that means that they can't have wine, then that's more than okay with the both of them. They'll gladly give up wine if it means that they get to have a baby, which is precisely what Matt and Alex are going to have since Alex is pregnant with their child. So, rather than drink some wine, Matt agreed that he was going to set them up with some sparkling water, which is precisely what Matt is doing. He was currently in the midst of pouring them some water, before setting it down on the table. After which, he set the bottle down on the table and went to make his way over to the kitchen so that he can keep making supper (which is what he needs to do right now). He needs to keep making supper as his wife is probably hungry, something that was only guaranteed when he saw her in the kitchen. "So, are you tasting the sauce?" Turning her head, Alex agreed with her husband and smiled as she was.
She was tasting the sauce that he made for the both of them, which was delicious; something that Matt could tell based on the reaction that he got. "Uhm…that was delicious." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before walking up next to her and wrapping his arm around her; meanwhile, Alex cuddled up to him and smirked as they both held each other close. And just how close might they be? Well, Matt just tugged his wife against his chest; while at the same time, he pressed his lips to her forehead. "So, how are you feeling right now? Do you feel rested after sitting in the living room for a while?" Alex agreed with Matt, as she feels much better. "I feel better, especially since I got to relax while admiring my husband." Matt smirked and agreed with his gorgeous wife as she said that, well aware that she likes it when he's just wearing his boxers. "Maybe I should resign as CEO and become a boxer model." Alex laughed as she heard Matt say that, while cuddling up to him again in front of her husband; meanwhile, Matt put his hand on the side of her face and smiled as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world.
The woman of his dreams, and the most beautiful woman in the entire world; his sexy, lingerie model wife, Ms. Alexandra Marie Casey. "I hope you know that I love the way we're all cuddled. But I need to get our bowls ready now, that way we can eat." Letting Matt go, Alex walked over to the cupboards and went to grab some bowls. "Here, I got them." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "You didn't have to do that babe; I could've gotten them." Alex agreed with her husband, smiling as she already knew that. "And I know that, but I'm going to help while I can." Matt was confused as he heard Alex say that. "What are you talking about?" Alex snickered. "Oh, don't tell me that you aren't going to sideline me the further I get into the pregnancy." Setting the bowls which she just got out of the cupboard on the counter, Alex smiled as she looked at the pasta; while Matt wrapped his arm around her and put his hand on her butt, prior to bending down and kissing his wife once more. "Now that's the truth." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling; especially since she just loves the feeling of the man of her dreams holding her close to him as he kissed her softly.
But now, she needs to have him stop doing that so that he can go take it easy and just relax. "Listen, I'm starting to get hungry. Can we please just eat?" Matt agreed with his wife, more than ready to eat with her. "Give me 20 minutes, and we can eat." Alex agreed, before walking away so that she can go wash up and sit down at the table.
Carrying the bowls of pasta over to the table where Alex was sitting and using her phone, Matt smiled as he already knew that she was starting to get impatient; that's something that she always does when she's impatient. But now, she doesn't need to wait anymore for food, as it's right here. "Hey." Turning her head when she heard Matt, Alex smiled as she looked at the man she loves. "Hey." Setting the bowl of pasta down in front of her, Matt smirked due to the fact that he already knew that this is what his wife wants. She wants to eat, then they can go get back to bed, which is precisely what they both want to do. But first, he put his hand on the back of Alex's head and smiled as he bent down and kissed the woman he loves. After which, he got up and make his way over to his seat. Setting his bowl down, Matt smiled as he sat down on his chair and looked at the woman he loves. "So, are you going to take a bite first; or am I?" Alex laughed. "Let me guess, you want me to tell you if I like it?" Matt agreed with his wife as she asked him whether he wanted her to take a bite first so that he knew whether she liked it or not. "I would like that, as I want to know if I made it right or if I need to adjust."
Alex was confused as Matt said that, as she didn't understand what he was talking about. "What are you talking about adjust?" Matt laughed. "Babe, you're pregnant." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that. "And you want me to always like what I'm eating." Matt agreed, as that's precisely what he will always want. He wants to make sure that she always enjoys the food that she has, because that's what a husband does for his pregnant wife; he always makes sure that the food she enjoys is something that she can eat. And that's precisely what Alex can always do when she's eating the food that Matt gives her. But now, she wants to eat and just take it easy with him, which is precisely what they're going to do now that Matt was sitting down in front of her. And that's precisely what Matt did, he sat down on the chair across from his wife and looked at the food that he just made for him and his wife. "How about you taste the food that I made? I know you already tasted it in the kitchen, but you might check it again with the sauce." Alex agreed with Matt, before going to take a bite of the food. And she had to say, it tasted really good. "I think I'm going to enjoy this." Matt smiled.
After which, Matt proceeded to take his own bite of the pasta that they were both going to enjoy. "So, first supper in our new home." Alex agreed with Matt as she reached across the table and grabbed his hand. "Do you need to talk about that? I know that you've always been a Chicago guy, so I am more than okay if you need to talk about it." Matt shook his head as Alex asked him that question, as he's more than okay with the move to Florida. "No, I'm more than okay with us having moved here. I am very happy, especially because I am married to the love of my life." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, especially since he's just the best husband in the entire world. He is just the best man in the entire world, and she's so proud to have the ability to call him her husband. "I am so glad that you're my husband, I hope you know that." Matt agreed with his wife and smiled due to the fact that it's something that they both know. They both know that they're happy to be married as they start this life with each other. And that was precisely what Matt was ready to have a toast about as he picked up the glass of sparkling water that he had. "May I propose a toast?" Alex agreed with Matt. "Yes, you most certainly can." Matt smirked as he looked at his gorgeous wife. "To us, to our life with each other, and to our baby."
Alex laughed as she sit their glasses against one another, before taking a sip. After which, she set it down and proceeded to take a bite. "So, what are you thinking of life in boxers so far?" Going to grab some of their pasta, Matt laughed as that was a good question. "We both know that I love it. I love it since it means that my wife is in lingerie." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that. "I think I might stay like this whenever we're at home. Just get used to having to be like this when the baby comes." Matt smirked. "Oh, so you're going to be in lingerie when the baby comes? Might there be a reason why?" Alex snickered as she took a bite of their pasta. "Well, I need to feed the baby somehow." Matt agreed with his wife. "Are you thinking that you're going to breastfeed?" Alex agreed with Matt. "And I want to do it as long as I can, another reason why I am not going back to modelling." Matt agreed with his wife, while also taking a breath. "Can we talk about that?" Alex was about to take a bite of the pasta, when she stopped as she wasn't sure what Matt was going to say. "Last time I checked, you told me that you would support my decision; is that changing?" Matt was shocked.
After all, that most certainly is not what he's doing, which he was more than ready to tell his wife as he reached over and grabbed her hand. "Hey, take a breath and look at me babe." Alex agreed. "I was going to apologize." Alex was shocked and confused as Matt said that. "What are you talking about?" Matt sighed. "I was going to apologize for maybe reacting more in a business way than as your husband. I feel like…I'm still getting used to this whole husband thing, and how to talk." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case. "Hey, I understand that Matt. You have no need to worry about me not understanding that you're still trying to figure stuff out. I know that, because I'm doing the same thing. And so far, we're doing great as we're being open and honest with each other." Matt agreed with Alex as he smiled at the woman he loves. "And I'm glad that's the case. But, I just want to talk about this topic. I just want to say that I am going to support you in whatever you do. And I already said that I love the idea of me being the only man who can see that gorgeous body of yours." Alex agreed with Matt, as that's something that she wants as well; for her body to be his.
To be exclusively his. "I think that it'll help me actually." Matt was confused as he heard Alex tell him that, so he decided to prod deeper into that topic. "What are you talking about baby?" Alex sighed, before telling Matt what she was talking about. "I'm talking about how I might feel pressure to get my body back as soon as possible, so that I can get back to work." Matt shook his head as he heard Alex tell him that. "Babe, we already spoke about this; you never need to feel that way as you are not going to be cut if you don't go back on time. And you said it yourself, you're done with that life because you want to travel with me." Alex agreed with her husband. "Yes, and that reminds me. No travelling for 6 months from 3 months before my due date, to 3 months after my due date." Matt laughed as Alex said that, which did not amuse his wife. "I'm being serious." Matt then realized that Alex was taking his laugh the wrong way, so he decided to correct what he was laughing about. "Oh, I wasn't laughing at that; because I want that. What I was laughing at…was the fact that you even thought I'd want to travel. I mean, what else would I want to do other than be here?"
Alex agreed with Matt. "So, we are officially going to make Florida our home base?" Matt smiled as he took another bite of his pasta, as that's something that he wants as well. "Yes, because I love me some sun; and it also means that you can wear sexy stuff for me much more often. I love me some sexy bikinis in the winter." Alex snickered as Matt said that. "Well, we do have an indoor pool in Chicago, so I can do it there too." Matt agreed with his wife. "I would rather be here, a lot less stressful." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, well aware that was the case; after which, she grabbed his hand. "Promise me something Matt?" Getting concerned, Matt looked at Alex. "What is it?" Alex smiled. "Regardless of the pregnancy, can you promise to talk to me if you're ever stressed. I don't want the pregnancy to stop me from doing my job as your wife to love and support you." Smiling, Matt agreed with the woman of his dreams as that's something that he most certainly can do for her. "I promise, I will do just that for you babe." And that was when Matt felt someone at his feet, Mr. Theo. "Hi Theo." Reaching down, Matt scratched the top of his dog's head and just smiled as he was happy. "You like it here in Florida?" Just laying down at Matt's feet, the Jack Russell most certainly was liking it here in Florida.
And that actually brought up something that Alex wants to talk about, how the dogs might react. "That reminds me, how do you think the dogs are going to react when it comes to us having a baby?" Matt laughed. "They'll adjust, and I'll make them adjust. We're having a baby whether they want us to have a baby or not." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, while also continuing to eat the delicious pasta that he made for the both of them. "I have to say, I am loving this pasta that you made for us. It's just divine." Matt agreed with Alex, smiling at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "You're divine and I am so ready to just cuddle up to you in bed again." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as she ate supper with her husband ahead of a sexy night in bed.
