Chapter Twenty-Seven

She told Matt that tonight was not going to be a night of intimacy, a nice where he's going to get a chance to run his hands all over her body as they hold each other close in the comfort of their bed; rather, tonight was going to be a night of rest and relaxation. And luckily for Alex, Matt was more than ok with that. He was more than ok with tonight just being a night where they cuddle up to each other in bed as they take it nice and easy with each other, especially when they have plans for tomorrow; plans which Alex was already working on as she sat in bed just wearing her underwear and a tank top. One that was quite tight on her body, especially her chest. And damn does Matt love the sight of this. "Ok. If this is what you want to wear for me at night from now on, then I approve." Turning her head to look up at Matt as he came out of the washroom after brushing his teeth, Alex smiled as she knew exactly what he was talking about. He was talking about the tight tank top that she was wearing, which perfectly showed off the girls, which is precisely where her husband finds his eyes drawn to right now as he walked over to their bed. "Hey, eyes up here looking at me mister."

Matt smiled as he heard Alex say that as he walked up to his side of their bed, setting his phone down on his charger in the process. "As I look up into your eyes, I find myself just as turned on if I was looking at your breasts." Alex smiled as she looked up at the man of her dreams as he told her that. "Yeah, I can see that being the case. I mean, you are showing off there mister." Matt smiled as he heard Alex say that, nodding as he looked down at himself; only to see that he most certainly was showing off in these boxers of his. "Not my fault." Leaning back in bed as a way to seduce her husband, Alex just glared at him. "Then who's fault is it mister?" Matt looked at Alex as she asked him that question, because he couldn't believe that she didn't already know. "Who do you think?" Alex pointed at herself as Matt told her that. "Wait, I'm the one that you blame for being turned on." Matt snickered. "I know you're joking." Alex smiled and agreed with the man of her dreams, as she was joking; after all, she's actually quite flattered when it comes to how turned on she makes her husband. I mean, what wife doesn't love the idea of her turning her husband on so much that he shows off for her?

And right now, that's precisely what Matt's doing. He's showing off for her in those tight boxers of his. Tight boxers that she really loves the sight of simply due to the fact that she's really happy right now. Happy to be with the man of her dreams, as they start their life as husband and wife, and as future parents. And that's actually why she was currently on a website right now. More specifically, a baby website, which is something that Matt noticed as he grabbed his iPad and proceeded to sit down next to his wife. "What you looking at there?" Turning her head, Alex smiled as she watched her hunk of a husband get in bed with her. "How about you come close to me, then you can see for yourself?" Matt agreed with Alex as she told him that, especially since that's precisely what he both wants and plans on doing right now. He wants to get in bed with his wife, hold her in his arms and just be close to her. He wants to cuddle up to her, as they take it nice and easy with each other; up until she falls asleep in his arms. After all, he already knows that she's going to crash soon. They've had a long day today, and they decided to eat a bit later than normal. Well, that, and they snuggled downstairs.

They sat in the living room for a bit after Matt did the dishes, and then they watched a bit of TV while Alex played on her iPad downstairs; but that time, it was games. This time? Well, he's not too sure what it is this time. All he knew was that Alex was going to show him this time. "So, what am I allowed to see this time, that I wasn't able to see downstairs?" Tugging the covers up on top of him and Alex, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arm around her and held her close; while she turned her head and smiled at him. "Well, I was looking for your Christmas gift downstairs." Matt shook his head, as he doesn't need anything from the woman he loves; not when she's already giving him the biggest gift that he could've asked for. She's making him a father, and that's all that he needs when it comes to a Christmas gift. "Babe, you're making me a father. I mean it when I say that's all I need from you. Make me a father, and I'll be a very happy and lucky man." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, before setting her iPad down in her lap; after which, she put her hand on his face and smiled as she took things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. At the same time, Matt laid down more.

He laid down in bed, while also bringing Alex with him so that they can both relax and just take it easy with each other in bed. And let's just say that the both of them are very happy, happy that they're in bed with each other as they held each other close here in the comfort of their home in Florida. "Did I ever tell you just how happy we chose to come to Florida?" Matt nodded, as he was well aware of just how happy she is that they came to Florida. "I'm happy too. I truly believe that this is where we belong right now. We need to be here, we need to take it easy, and we need to relax with each other; especially you, now that you're pregnant." Alex smiled as she heard Matt mention that she's pregnant, something that always happens. "Let me guess, you like it when I say that you're pregnant?" Blushing, Alex agreed with Matt as she absolutely loves how he says that she's pregnant. "I mean, it's the truth; but what I really like is the smile that it puts on your face. It's a huge difference compared to a couple days ago." Alex took a breath, as she hates that she brought it up. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to br…" Moving his hand to Alex's neck, Matt put his thumb on her lips to get her to shut up.

After all, she doesn't have to say anything else; he already knows what she's trying to say, and that she isn't trying to hurt him. "Hey, I know that you don't want to hurt me babe. Please, don't worry about that. Everything is fine, I promise." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case as she leaned in and kissed him softly. "God, I have such a great husband." Matt nodded as he heard Alex say that, well aware that she has a great husband; after all, he's her husband so that makes him great. "I love the compliment, but you can tone it down. We already agreed that we aren't having sex babe." Alex laughed as she heard Matt say that, well aware that they weren't having sex tonight. "I already know that, and I think you're the one with sex on the brain mister; I mean, you are the one that keeps bringing it up." Matt agreed with Alex, before feeling her lay down some more. "Let me guess, you changed your mind when it comes to shopping?" Alex sighed as she passed her iPad to Matt. "Can you plug this in? I know you have a spare charger over there." Matt agreed with his wife, as he most certainly does have three chargers on his side table.

The reason? It's due to the fact that Alex always wants him to put her iPad down, or she just falls asleep while using it. "We can always keep your devices on my side of the bed if you need to lay down and take it easy." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that. "Yeah, I just want to take it easy and relax tonight. We've had a long day and a lot of stuff has happened." Matt agreed with Alex as she told him that, while laying down on his back and smiling. "Here, let me get into the center of the bed some more so that you can lay down on my chest; that way the dogs can lay down next to me easier." Alex agreed with Matt as she slid over in bed so that he could lay down in bed just like she wants, which is precisely what he did the moment he could; he moved into the center of their bed and went ahead and got nice and comfortable here in their bed. He got comfortable and made sure that he was ready for his wife to lay down on his chest. And now that he was comfortable in bed, that's exactly what Alex did. She laid down on Matt's chest and cuddled up to him, while he wrapped his arm around her back so that they were both comfortable, which is what they both want to be in bed.

They were finally together, cuddling up to each other in bed as they held each other close this evening; while at the same time, Alex was stroking her dreamy husband's chest and stroking it with her thumb this evening. "God, I am so comfortable." Matt agreed with Alex as she told him that she was comfortable, something that he already knew about Alex; he knew that she was comfortable as she lied down on his chest, as she's always comfortable when she does so. And even better, she looks very sexy while doing it; especially since it turns him on like nothing else. God, the feeling of her gorgeous body laying down on his chest is always comfortable; something that Alex knew as she cuddled up to him and laid her head down on his chest. Meanwhile, matt put his hand on her back and scratched it as he just knew that Alex was very comfortable right now. "Comfortable?" Alex laughed as Matt asked her that question, especially since he already knew the answer. "Why bother asking the question when you already know the answer?" Matt smiled as he put his hand on Alex's back and stroked it with his thumb, while she put her hand on his side and smiled.

She smiled as this truly is paradise, exactly what she wants in life. She wants to be married to this incredible man, whom she loves more than anything in the entire world; and will even love more than their children. That's something that Alex already knows because of how much Matt has changed her life. He's shown her what love truly is, and he's made her feel so loved and respected; much better than anybody she's ever dated. And now, she's never going to date another man again; especially not when she's already won the jackpot in terms of husbands, as she feels like she and Matt are meant to be. "Matt, can I ask you something?" Matt agreed, smiling as he looked down at his wife. "Like I always tell you babe, always." Alex smiled. "For some reason, I was just thinking this; but something in my heart is just telling me that this was always meant to be. We were always meant to be." Smiling as Alex said that, Matt agreed with her due to the fact that he feels the same way. He feels like they're meant to be and that it's why they're together and having a baby. "I feel the same way babe. And I truly mean it when I say that I have never been prouder to be married to you." Alex laughed.

After which, she decided to correct him. "Married to anybody period, as you've never been married before." Matt agreed with Alex, while also stroking her back as he pressed his lips to her forehead. "Nor will I ever get married to anybody else ever again, as they are the only woman I ever want to be married to ever again; something that I hope you already know babe." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that Matt only wants to be married to her. "I know that, and I am very happy over the fact that's the truth. But now, we're going to stop talking about that and concentrate on something else." Matt agreed with Alex as he kissed the top of her head. "And what might that be? What's more important to talk about than our future child?" Alex smiled as Matt asked her that question, as she had a nice idea for what they can talk about instead. "Well, Christmas decorating for tomorrow. I hope you know that I'm helping." Matt agreed with his wife as he ran his hand up and down her back. "I had no doubt that you were going to help me decorate, and that you always would help me decorate the house for Christmas. I can't wait to do it actually." Alex was shocked. "Really?" Matt nodded.

After which, he pressed his lips to Alex's forehead; while at the same time, he ran his fingers through her hair. "I'm excited for every first that we get to do together. First time decorating for Christmas as husband and wife." Alex smiled as she felt Matt twirl her hair around his finger, while also feeling him tug on it a bit. "Ow babe, remember not to tug when you twirl my hair." Matt agreed with his wife, before moving to massage her head a bit as a way to make her feel better. And feel better she did, as she cuddled up to her incredible husband and just held him close to her in bed. This is precisely what they both want to do. "Just curious, for Florida. Do we put up a Christmas tree? Or do you just want to do ribbons and stuff?" Matt laughed. "Honestly, it depends on what we have in the garage." Alex agreed with Matt as she felt him run his fingers up and down her back, a feeling that's really nice. "Oh, you have no idea how nice that feels. The feeling of your hand on my body like that truly is paradise." Matt agreed with his wife and smiled at her, while pressing his lips to her forehead once more; that way, they can just take it easy and relax with each other in the comfort of their bed.

Then again, this is what they always did due to the fact that they haven't really been able to go out in public until now. "Just curious, if I take the dogs out for a walk tomorrow morning; do you want me to wake you up so that we can go together?" Turning her head, Alex smiled as that was something that she was very much interested in. She was interested in going for a walk with him. "Yeah, I'd love that. I want to walk out in public with my husband now, as I make sure that other women keep their eyes and hands away from my man." Matt laughed as he heard Alex say that, while pressing his lips to her forehead. "Babe, you have no need to be jealous; I am your husband and we're having a baby. I promise you when I say this: there's no other woman who can replace you in my bed. You're my one and only forever." Alex agreed with Matt, before bending down and kissing his chest softly; a feeling that made Matt smile simply due to the fact that he loves the feeling of his beautiful wife's soft lips on his chest. And he truly did mean loves the feeling. After all, she's the only woman who now has the right to kiss him in such an intimate fashion. And it's a great feeling.

But not as good as the feeling of the two of them making love to each other, as that will always be his favorite; especially since it's how he got her pregnant, which brings something up that he just thought about. "You know, I just thought of something. We have some things to do before we even decorate for Christmas." Turning her head to look up at Matt, Alex was confused. "And what might that be?" Turning his head to look down at Alex, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arm around his beautiful wife; after which, he leaned down to kiss her softly. "Well, we need to find our doctors here. Our dentist, our family doctor, your OB/GYN." Alex smiled at the sound of the word OB/GYN, as she was so glad that she now needed one. She needed an OB/GYN due to the fact that she's finally pregnant with her and Matt's baby. "Honestly, I didn't even think of that. Thanks for thinking about it baby." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, while putting his hand on her arm. Stroking it with his thing, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arm around her back and kissed the side of her head. "Hey, it's no problem. We can do this together. I just…I want to get things set up this month." Alex agreed.

After all, she understands why he wants to get everything set up this month. "Let me guess, you're hoping to get all the initial doctors consultations out of the way this month if possible?" Matt sighed. "Well, maybe not. I mean, I already have a dentist down here as I have spent entire winters down here; we just need to get your things transferred." Alex smiled. "Well first, I need to tell my doctors in Chicago of my new name." Turning his head, Matt smiled as that most certainly is the truth. "And we need to get Florida driver's licenses since we're going to live here forever." Alex agreed with Matt. "Well, until my parents get up there in age. Then they either need to move here, or we're moving back. Listen, I get that I have a brother but…" Matt shook his head as he pressed his wife's forehead. "No, that's fine. Anyways, I'm sure that you'll be able to talk them into moving here so that they can be close to their grandson." Alex sighed. "And my brother, and his daughter." Matt agreed with his wife as he scratched her back. After which, he kissed her forehead as they both held each other close. "I know, it's a lot to think about." Alex nodded, as it was. It was a lot to think about.

She had a lot on her mind, and she had no idea why she was thinking about it all. "Sorry if I'm thinking about it all when I should instead be relaxing, and just taking it easy for the sake of the baby." Matt shook his head before pressing his lips to Alex's forehead, as all that matters to him was that she was okay and that she was comfortable in his arms. "Hey, look up at me for a second." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as she looked up into Matt's eyes. "Everything is fine baby. I know that you're worried for your parents with what's going on with your aunt Melinda. I know that you're worried for your dad, and that's why I am more than okay with them moving down here if that's what you want. I'm here for you babe, and I'll always be here for you. I just want what's best for you and our baby." Alex smiled and agreed with Matt as he said that, as that was something she already knew; she knew that due to the fact that she already has the best husband in the entire world. "Believe me, I know that baby. I know that because I have you as my husband." Matt smiled as he stroked Alex's back once more, while also turning his head and pressing his lips to her forehead as they held each other.

Yet, at the same time, he could tell that his wife was fading. "I can only assume that you're starting to get tired right now?" Alex sighed as she bent down and kissed his chest. "It's been a long couple days, and I would really like to just sleep in your arms. I mean, we had a busy day yesterday, and another one today." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, while running his hand up and down her back; while at the same time, he wondered whether they should really decorate tomorrow. "You know, maybe we should change our plans for tomorrow." Confused, Alex turned her head and looked at Matt. "What are you talking about?" Turning his head as he ran his hand up and down Alex's back, Matt pressed his lips to her forehead as they both held each other close. "We've been busy for the past couple days. Friday, we got married; yesterday, we packed to come here; today, we flew to Florida. I mean, don't you think that we should've had at least one lazy day since we got married?" Thinking about it, Alex agreed with Matt as they certainly should have had a lazy day with each other since they got married by now; yet they haven't done that. "Then how about this…"

Listening to her husband, Alex decided to let him make a proposal. "Tomorrow, we take a nice morning bath or shower with each other; then we spend the entire day in bed, where we can watch Christmas movies." Alex agreed with Matt, already liking his idea. "Then, Tuesday we can decorate for Christmas as we just have fun this week." Alex agreed with Matt, really liking that idea as she slipped up his chest this evening. After which, she bent down and kissed the man of her dreams nice and slowly; meanwhile, Matt put his hand on the side of her face and smiled as he took things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. His beautiful, sexy, pregnant wife Alexandra Marie Casey. "I have to say, you make the best proposals." Matt smiled as he heard Alex say that, while also running his finger down her cheekbone; meanwhile, she laid down on his chest again while kissing him nice and slowly. And let's just say that Matt and Alex both really enjoyed the feeling of their lips moving against one another's lips in bed. It's just the best feeling in the entire world, and it just makes them both very happy that they have this life with each other. "I love you Alex."

Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that she loves him, as he shares the sentiment; he loves her more than anything in the entire world, and he's just so happy to finally have her as his wife. "I truly hope you know that I feel extremely blessed to have you be my wife." Alex agreed with Matt as she cuddled up to him, smirking due to the fact that she already knew that. She knew how happy he was that she's his wife, especially since that's another sentiment that she feels as well. She feels oh so blessed to finally have this life with Matt. "Matt, I want to stay here in Florida for a long time. I like it here. Maybe leave Chicago behind." Matt agreed with Alex, as that was a good idea. "I agree with you, we can be done there and only go there when we need to do business. Chicago is not home, you're my home. So, maybe we can rotate between Florida, California, and Hawaii." Alex agreed with Matt. "Oh, we are so going to Hawaii during the tourist seasons." Matt laughed. "Maybe starting next year, but we could do your birthday and Christmas next year in California." Alex smiled, as she really liked that idea. Them celebrating her birthday in California and Christmas in Hawaii.

So, she decided to say that. "I like the idea of my birthday in California, but Christmas in Hawaii. Hawaii is always quiet, and that's where I want to be." Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife as she said that, as that most certainly is something that they can do. "Or, we can figure it out as we go. We have the money and the resources to go whenever we want. So, there's no point in always having to plan where we want to go until it's close." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, as it was the truth; they have no need to play so far in advance whatsoever. They can just take it easy and concentrate on the now. The now that includes them having a sweet baby boy with each other. A baby that they already love more than anything in the entire world. "I still can't believe that this is our last Christmas as just husband and wife." Matt smiled as he heard Alex tell him that, while also bending down to kiss her forehead. "Let's just concentrate on the fact that it's our first Christmas, not the last part." Alex agreed with Matt as she bent down and kissed his chest again, something that will always make Matt smile because of how comfortable it is. It's a beautiful feeling. Her lips on his chest.

And even better, she's kissing his chest where their child will be laying down someday. "You know, someday you won't be able to kiss my chest there all the time." Looking up at Matt, Alex was confused. "And why's that?" Matt smirked as he put his hand on her back and stroked it with his thumb. "Well, that's due to the fact that's the spot where our little baby is going to be sleeping on his daddy's chest." Alex smiled, as she can see that happening; in fact, she even dreamed of it happening as she drifted off to sleep this evening.
