After talking with the McJoys more about the good and bad Nessies, Hallie sure wasn't feeling like going back down to Happy Land was such a good idea despite her friends reassuring her that everything would be alright since the good Nessies wouldn't let anything bad happen to them while they were playing together since the siblings have already gone through the trouble of dealing with the bad Nessies way too many times to count before this.

Hallie still wasn't sure that it was a good idea to meet the good Nessies on the off chance Pompous Ness decided to try anything funny during her visit, and while the McJoys had warned her to stay away from the bad Nessies since they tended to cause trouble regardless of the consequences since they liked always pulling mean tricks even though the good Nessies stopped them with their ness blesses as it changed the bad Nessies minds for a little while.

Thanks to her encounter with Dark Ness, Hallie really didn't want to meet anymore of the bad Nessies least of all Pompous Ness since she wanted to be queen of Nessa City even though everyone knew that she'd be a terrible queen while Happy Ness is the much better choice to be queen since she's the exact opposite of Pompous Ness and everyone loves Happy Ness since she's kinder to all of her friends as well as protects them from harm.

Remembering the warmth and happiness that Hallie had felt just by being near Happy Ness made her agree with her friends about who the better queen of Happy Land is, and it certainly wasn't Pompous Ness even though Hallie hasn't meet either Nessie's yet, she could just tell that Happy Ness is the much better choice for a ruler, but it still didn't make her feel any better in case of the bad Nessies choosing to try something to ruin the meeting tonight.

"Are you guys sure this is alright?" Hallie asked for the fifth time in a row, the McJoys knew that she was nervous so they couldn't blame her for asking again. "We're positive it's okay." Hayden replied with a smile, the four kids made it to the secret entrance that was deep beneath the castle before they went into the hidden room and down the slide that took them to the opening of Happy Land where Happy and Brave Ness were waiting for them.

"Welcome little ones." Happy Ness said with a gentle smile, the four kids landed in the water before Happy and Brave Ness put them on their backs then went off to where the other good Nessies were setting up for a huge welcome picnic for Hallie since she's the guest of honor even though Hallie told them that it wasn't necessary to make her visit a big deal, however the Nessies decided that the picnic was a good way for her to feel safer with them.

"Just go with it." Hannah advised her friend, Hallie took a deep breath to help calm her nervous before greeting everyone with a smile. "That's the spirit lass." Sir Prize responded with a kind smile, any nervous feelings that Hallie had began to vanish as she got to know the good Nessies more, and even laughed when Forgetful Ness forgot where he'd put his new shell until Kind Ness told him where he had left it, which was on his head as he made it into a hat.

"Feeling better about being here with us, now?" Halsey asked with a smirk, Hallie smiled at him before turning her attention back to the Nessies. "I think we're going to get along just fine." Hallie said with a smile, the McJoys were feeling like bringing Hallie down to Happy Land was a good idea since she seemed like the type of shy girl that would only open up with the help of her friends, and now she's got a lot of new friends for life to play with.

Everyone was having fun playing together while one Nessie wasn't enjoying the festivities, and that Nessie was Pompous Ness who sneered at the good Nessies. "A party that I wasn't invited too?" Pompous Ness's voice rang out, the fun was now ruined as everyone looked to see the ruler of the bad Nessies glide over like she owned the place as Hallie silently picked up a stick that had somehow ended up beneath the Loch to use for protection.

"What do you want Pompous Ness?" Sweet Ness asked nervously, the good Nessies formed a circle around Pompous Ness to try and keep her away from the kids and Sir Prize. "Why wasn't I invited?" Pompous Ness asked with a deep frown, the five humans and good Nessies all looked at each other as they wondered why Pompous Ness was asking that when the answer was quite obvious, and the bad queen knew the answer already as well.

"Today is a welcoming picnic for our new friend, and if you'd like to stay then you must be nice to everyone here." Happy Ness told Pompous Ness, the bad queen took look at Hallie and sneered before raising her tail to try and attack the humans with water, but seeing what was about to happen, something snapped inside of Hallie causing her wield her stick like it was a sword before she moved like Ruby Rose in volume nine of RWBY in the final episode.

At that last line, Pompous Ness took off in a fright at what she had seen Hallie do in order to protect herself and her friends which left everyone stunned in shock. "Hallie?" Hannah called out nervously, Hallie snapped back out of her trance as she dropped the stick that she'd been holding before seeing the shock or fear in the eyes of the Nessies and fellow humans as she realized what she had done to scare Pompous Ness away from them.

"I-I'm sorry!" Hallie shouted in shame before she took off, everyone called for her to come back, but Hallie knew that she couldn't face them after what they witnessed her doing to protect them as she knew that she'd just blown her chances of making friends since no one would want to be friends with someone who couldn't control her own instincts to defend others from those who'd want to cause harm to the ones that Hallie cared about the most.

Once Hallie made it back to her bedroom without waking up her parents, she shut and locked her door before closing the curtains then hopped into bed and covering herself with her blankets as she silently cried as she'd lost her chance to make new friends all because her instincts to protect everyone from Pompous Ness had taken over her as she remembered another incident where this had happen only Hallie had failed to protect her best friend.

"It's over for me." Hallie said with a quiet voice, she didn't want to wake up her parents since they had be up very early the next morning, which is why Hallie chose to cry alone while locked in her bedroom while making the choice to stay away from the McJoys and their friends for the rest of the summer since Hallie knew that they wouldn't want anything to do with her as she cried herself to sleep while remembering that it was all her fault.

Come tomorrow, Hallie knew that one way to avoid the McJoys and their Nessie friends was stay in her room while her parents went to work, only this time Hallie wouldn't open her door if the other kids came asking for her so as not cause the same mistake to happen again lest she be forced to face some type of punishment before the Nessies since this was the only way none of them could hurt her since her heart was already broken, however Hallie had no idea what her friends were planning, and she wouldn't find out until the next morning.
