Crash the Party

*The next morning, Chip flew in Sonic's room, very excited*

Chip: Sonic! Sonic! Wake up! Wake up! I just heard the news! Congratulations! *he shook his hand* Buddy, we did it!

Knuckles:*yawn* What is this idiot babbling about?

*Chip elbowed him*

Chip: Right. As if you two didn't know. The whole town's buzzing about the Princess getting engaged! *they gave home weird looks* You know, she's getting married. *they were still confused. he gave Knuckles a noogie* You silly, side-walker. *he patted Sonic's cheek* I just wanted to wish you luck. I'll catch you later. I wouldn't miss it!

*He then flew out the window. Sonic thought about what he meant for a minute & a smile grew on his face as she realized it. He jumped out of bed, quickly fixed his quills, & then ran out of his room with Knuckles behind him. He ran down the stairs, feeling very happy. Just then, he heard something that made him stop*

King Elias: My goodness, it is wonderful news, isn't it Harvey?

Harvey Who: Oh, yes.

*Sonic hid behind a pillar to spy on them. His eyes went wide when he saw Sally holding on to the arm of a green male hedgehog wearing black clothes. She was wearing a black dress & looked like she was in a bit of a daze*

King Elias: I must admit, I was mistaken. It seems you really have found the boy of your dreams after all.

Harvey Who: Yes. Quite the surprise, Sally.

*Sally seemed to snap out of whatever daze she was in*

Sally: What? Oh. I know. I know it must seem fast, but I do owe him my life.

King Elias: We will celebrate. This this evening. You shall introduce your intended to the court. We can make that happen can't we, Harvey?

Harvey Who: Yes. If it's really what you want, Sally?

Sally: What I . . . Want . . .

Scourge: It's what we both want.

King Elias: Excellent. Well, we've got our work cut out for us.

Harvey Who: Indeed.

King Elias: Then let's begin preparations, Harvey.

*Tears formed in Sonic eyes & he ran away. Scourge saw him leave & put his arm around Sally's shoulder. He then looked at his glowing necklace with a smirk*

*Later that day, the sun was beginning to go down. Chip was flying around, frantic. Knuckles crawled along the shore, also searching*

Knuckles: Oh, Sonic. Where have you gone? *Chip landed next to him* Any sign of him?

Chip: No luck. I flew over the village three times.

Knuckles: Well, check the castle again! It's almost sunset. We've got to find him!

Chip: Copy that!

*He flew away*

Knuckles: What's wrong with that Princess? Something fishy is going on here. I don't like the smell of it . . .

Tails:*off-screen* Knuckles! *he turned around & saw Tails, poking his head out of the water**on-screen* Over here.

Knuckles: Yes, what?

Tails: I think I know where Sonic is.

Knuckles: Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!

*He dove into the water & followed Tails*

*Later, as Chip flew over the castle, he suddenly heard a familiar voice singing*

Chip: Sonic?

*He followed the sound to one of the castle balconies. He looked inside & saw that the sound was coming from a gold seashell necklace on a table. He hid behind the banister as Scourge appeared, wearing a black bathrobe, revealing his chest, & put on the necklace. Then, suddenly, he was the one singing the song. Chip's eyes went wide as he picked up a hand mirror & smashed it. Then he fell on to a chair*

Scourge: So long, blue.

*He laughed & turned to a mirror behind him, only to show Zero's face in it, instead of his own. Chip gasped*

Chip: Oh no!

*He quickly flew away to look for Sonic*

*Sonic was laying on a rock a little far away from shore, wearing the clothes he wore yesterday, sadly looking up at the castle*

*Sonic singing*

*off-screen*

Risking it all

Only to fall

Back where I started

Back near the shore

Back to before

Betcha on land

Where do I go with nowhere to turn to

*Tails & Knuckles came up to him*

Knuckles: What are you doing, Sonic? You can't give up so easily. This all has to be some sort of misunderstanding. I watched both of you. You're meant to be together.

*Suddenly, Chip flew down & landed on the rock*

Chip: There you are! I've been looking! And I thought I found 'cause I heard - but then I saw - it wasn't you! It was him! Bu - But it wasn't - in the mirror! Except he had - he had your voice!

Knuckles: What are you talking about!?

Chip: Don't you get what I'm telling you!?

Knuckles: No!

Chip: The Princess has been tricked! That guy who showed up is actually the Sea Wizard in disguise!

Knuckles: Wh - Are you sure about this?

Chip: Of course I'm sure! Have I ever been wrong!? I mean, like, you know, when it counts!?

Tails: Well, what are we gonna do!?

Knuckles: Well, we have to do something before Princess Sally ends up with that slimy squid! *suddenly, Sonic dove into the water* Yes, Sonic, go! Tails! Go tell the Sea Queen what's happened. She has to know everything!

Tails: Okay!

*He dove down*

Chip: Wh-Wh-What do I do?

Knuckles: You get me up to the castle! *Chip picked him up & flew towards the castle* We've got to find a way to stall that engagement!

*Up at that castle, the party was in full swing. Music was playing. Hamlin had made a scrumptious feast. Guests were surrounding Scourge, thanking him for saving their beloved Princess*

Scourge: Well, I wouldn't call it heroic. But I did save her. That's what anyone would do.

Guest: Of course.

*Sally arrived at the party, wearing a blue dress & good tiara. She saw Harvey & went up to him*

Sally: Harvey.

Harvey Who: Your Highness.

Sally: Have you seen Sonic?

Harvey Who: According to the servants, he left early this morning.

Sally: Left?

Harvey Who: Well, can you really blame him, Sally? I don't understand. This is not like you.

Sally: I'm not sure I understand it myself. I just wanted to . . . I thought if -

King Elias:*off-screen* Sally.

*She turned & saw her brother beckoning her to him*

Sally: I don't really know what I wanted.

*She went to Elias*

*Sonic ran up the path from the beach towards the castle*

*Overhead, Chip carried Knuckles to the castle*

Knuckles: Almost there! Now, when I give the signal, you drop me! Got it?

Chip: Got it!

*He accidentally dropped Knuckles*

Knuckles: No, you idiot!

*He landed in the water below*

Chip: Guess I'm on my own.

*He flew towards the castle alone*

*King Elias opened a handkerchief to reveal two gold rings. One of them had a diamond on it*

Sally: Mother & Father's wedding rings?

King Elias: Yes. I they know they would want you to have them. Your happiness means everything to me.

*He gave her the rings. Scourge watched them from the group that surrounded him*

Scourge: Would you all excuse me for a minute?

*As he walked towards Sally, he looked at the setting sun & smirked. The King saw him coming towards them*

King Elias: Enjoy yourself.

*He left just as Scourge put his arm around her. Then he saw the rings*

Scourge: Well, aren't those pretty.

*Suddenly, Chip flew down & pulled on his quills, while knocking to the rings out of Sally's hand in the process*

Guest #1: It's a Gaia Spirit!

Sally: The rings! I lost the rings! Has anybody seen the rings!?

*Harvey looked down & saw the rings at his feet. He quickly picked them up & put them in his pocket. Chip was still attacking Scourge*

Scourge: Get off of me, you flying rat! *Rosie, who was holding on to Muttski, let go of him & he jumped on Scourge* Somebody help me! I'm being attacked!

*Suddenly, Sonic ran on to the terrace*

Sally: Sonic! I've been looking for you!

*He ignored her & pounced on Scourge*

Scourge: What are you doing!?

*The two boys started to wrestle. Harvey held Sally back*

Sally: Let me go!

Scourge: Get this guy off me! He's crazy!

*He quickly had Sonic pinned to the ground*

Sally: Sonic, stop! *just then, Sonic ripped the necklace off of Scourge & pushed him off. then he stood up & threw the necklace on the ground, smashing it. the voice inside began to sing as it flew up towards it's rightful owner. everyone watched in awe as it went inside Sonic's throat & he sang a note in vocal. Knuckles arrived on the terrace just in time. he looked at Sally & smiled* Sonic?

Sonic: Yes.

Sally: It was you all along. I should have known. *she went up to him* I don't know what came over me.

Sonic: He bewitched you.

Scourge:*Zero's voice* Get away from him!

Sonic: Sally, I want you to know, I -

Knuckles: Just kiss!

Sonic: I want you to know everything.

Sally: Nothing matters now.

*They leaned in to kiss*

Scourge:*Zero's voice* No!

*Suddenly, just as their lips were about to touch, Sonic felt a pain in his legs & he couldn't breathe. Scourge smirked & laughed as Sonic's legs turned into a tail. Everyone was shocked, especially Sally*

King Elias: Oh my god! He's a sea creature!

Scourge:*Zero's voice* You're too late! You're too late!

*Purple fog appeared all around him as he turned back into Zero. He knocked everyone away with his tentacles as he crawled over to Sonic. Sally tried to block his path*

Sally: Stay back!

Zero: Shut up!

*He hit her with a tentacle & grabbed Sonic. Then he jumped off the balcony*

Sonic: Sally!

*Sally got up & looked over the railing as they disappeared beneath the waves*

King Elias: Sally. No. This is the work of the Sea Gods. I warned you. Their whole world is evil. *she ignored him & ran away* Sally, wait! Sally!

*He tried to follow her, but Harvey stopped him*
