"Ryan I am here at the volcano, the Doc needs my help." Graham is on the phone with his grandson informing about what is going on.

"Just be careful, I can't keep an eye out for you, since I am not there. How did you find out she needed your help anyway?"

"I felt a buzz and took out my psychic paper. It was a message from the TARDIS giving the address and how to get here."

"Just be careful."

"I will and don't worry, I am sneaking around the Daleks." Graham hangs before Ryan can protest. He gingerly enters the volcano.

'There I was again tonight

Forcing laughter, faking smiles

As Graham is trying to comfort Yaz as the Doctor lay motionless on the TARDIS floor, Tegan comes up to Ace. "So Graham."

"What do you mean?"

"Since the Doctor called us extended fam, you have been watching him."

"I don't know there is something about him that I like."

"You mean the woman who vowed off relationships after she caught her last girlfriend cheating." Tegan jokes while Kate chuckles.

"She wasn't the first. Most people of any gender that I have dated cheated on me."

After attempts fail to comfort Yaz, Graham looks over at the three women. "Go over to him," Kate, who has met everyone but Graham tries to encourage her friend as she looks at the Doctor. She knows that she is getting close to meeting more versions of the Doctor than her dad did.

They meet in the middle, Ace's two friends can see the chemistry between the two. "How's she holding up?"

"Not good. She's acting like I did when I lost my Grace."

"Your Grace?"

"My wife, she died when we first met the Doc. Yaz has been with her since the beginning."

"I think Yaz has feelings for the Professor," Ace and Graham look deeply into each other's eyes.

"What do you mean?"

"When Tegan said we used to be her, Yaz didn't have the best reaction. She did everything she could to make sure that the Master didn't stay as her. Flew the TARDIS and made sure I got to the volcano."

"Where we met."

"Exactly. Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure."

"What were you doing in a volcano?"

"Got a message on the psychic paper."

"I thought it was from the Doc, turns out it was from the TARDIS."

"Probably, but would've gotten hurt with how many there were."

"I doubt that, from what I saw you were more than taking care of it."

"Graham," Tegan and Kate watch on as the two flirt. Yaz looks up and stares at them.

"Are they flirting," Kate asks Tegan.

"They are, it has been a while since I have seen her like this."

"I have never seen her like this."

"It helps when your father introduced us when she came back to earth."

"He tried to keep the two of you away from me. Probably because you are bad influences."

Yaz, who has had enough of the flirting, walks to the console and starts fiddling with it. Ace who is facing the console, "what's up?"

"Just taking you guys home." Before they can fall Ace and Graham grab onto each other, and feel something akin to a shock as the TARDIS groans because her thief isn't protected on the floor, but she is also happy that her thief's surrogate daughter has a connection with a good man. The TARDIS lands in a city in England.

"Now you two can go flirt away from me and someone who actually cares about the Doctor can watch over her."

"Yaz," Graham tries to say as he lets go of Ace's hand.

"Not right now."

"Graham let her be, when I saw the Doctor regenerate I had just met them and it was hard for me, come on." After one last look at the woman, he follows out Tegan, Kate and Ace. Who the latter he wanted to get to know more.

"Does anyone know where we are," Graham asks as he catches up with them.

"According to my phone, Croydon." Ace answers.

"So only when it's important the TARDIS lands where it needed to."

"Well the Doctor just never tried getting me back home until I decided I wanted to stay."

"I know that Tegan," Ace is tired of the story.

"Graham doesn't know."

"I guess I shouldn't say after she got used to the TARDIS after she got it back, we regularly took trips home. Yaz to see her family, Ryan and I to see our mates. Though in the past few years I have grown apart from them. Whose hungry, I sure could eat."

"Me too," says the one in a blue power suit.

"You're always hungry Ace," her longtime friend jokes.

"Just because you can go days without eating Tegan, doesn't mean everyone can."

"Oh look," Kate who has been watching the exchange between the three other adults. "There is a cafè right there."

The four of them make their way into the small building and are greeted by a waitress. "Hello table for four?"

"Yes please," Ace answers.

"It will be 10 minutes."

"Ok," Ace turns to everyone who nods their heads in ok motion. "I am going to go to the bathroom. I never want to jump off a building again," she laughs. Graham's eyes go wide. "Yaz caught me with the TARDIS." She walks off.

"I am going to go call Ryan and tell him I am ok." He steps out.

"Kate, we need to have them sitting next to each other."

"I am on the same wavelength, Tegan."

Graham comes back in, "Ryan didn't pick up; I left a message; he lights up as Ace comes back to them

"I called for a car to pick us up in an hour."

After they are done eating they make their way to the car that Ace called for. "Today was a day. I never thought I would see the Professor again."

"You? I hadn't seen them since the 80s."

"That's what you get for being older than me?"

"I guess I can say nothing, it has been under a decade since I last saw them," Graham pipes up.

"Kate has seen them more recently, so you're safe, for now," adds Ace before laughing, her hazel eyes glowing.

Graham watches and for what seemed to be the hundredth time that night thought she was beautiful. "So who is getting dropped off when."

"Well Tegan, so I don't face the wrath of your wife when I see her next, it's you. Kate will be next as she lives closer to you. Graham needs to give his address to the driver."

"Ohh, going to be in the car alone with him?"

"Shut up Tegan. So Graham, tell me about Ryan."

"He's amazing. He is doing a blog at the moment and traveling the world. Are there many of us? I met Captain Jack before he talked about a Rose Tyler."

"There are more than UNIT would like, but I have contact info on all of them why?" Kate asks.

"I was thinking of starting up a group, so we all can talk about the Doc."

Ace and Graham walk up the stairs to his flat, both knowing that there was this connection between two, but afraid of what it is. Ace knowing her history and Graham doesn't know if he is ready to move on from Grace yet. The two stair into each other's eyes, their heads move closer and closer until their lips touch in a tentative kiss. This kiss creates an explosion in both of their minds. "Was that too forward," she asks him.

"No, you captured my attention the whole night. I think everyone saw it and expects us to date now."

"Do you want to date me," he answers her in another kiss. "I take that as a yes," they smile at each other.

"It is, though I hope Ryan will be ok with it. We never talked about me moving on."

"I'm sure he will be ok with it."

"You're right, he would want me to be happy. Tonight, being by your side has made me happier than I have been since losing Grace." Ace kisses him again as she doesn't know what to say.
