Prologue: Welcome Home Leader!
*PRESENT DAY*
Golden Week, the only time of the week where the team who solved the Inaba murder case comes together again once more. Yu Narukami, a second year back at his old high school takes the train back to Inaba, excited to see his friends again. And to see how Inaba is doing after everything that has happened. But during the train ride back to Inaba, Yu Narukami had visions. Visions that were unclear. It was him and his friends, but they were fighting something big. Something even greater than Izanami herself. What was it? Narukami thought to himself. Well it didn't matter. He was almost there..
When he arrived, there was no one to welcome him back. He questions himself before exiting the train station and heads to the commercial district of Inaba. He stopped by Junes to see if Yosuke was there. But he wasn't there. He left to go see the other stores of Inaba, and nothing has changed ever since. Narukami looked around before heading to the Dojima residence. The home where he stayed for a year. He was surprised when he found the door that had been left unlocked and it's dark inside there as well. He wondered what happened here until he heard something that was counting.
"Two.. One" it said before the lights turned on with everyone shouting "SURPRISE!". It was Narukami's friends. They were all waiting for him at the house. And sure enough, Narukami was surprised. Surprised to see everyone. Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Kanji, Rise, Teddie, even Naoto are here. "Hey hey partner! Did we get ya?" asked Yosuke, who nicknames his long-time friend "partner". "I bet we did get you good sensei! We got you so good. You'd probably pooped your pants a little!" said the Cartoony looking bear. "Teddie! That's gross!" the pig tailed haired girl said. "Hey I pooped my pants when I was surprised on my 8th birthday, so it's nothing to be ashamed of" said the classy looking guy in the room. "Y-you what?" the blue-haired girl said surprised and speechless that he said it without even thinking. Infact everyone was speechless at what he said. Until everyone heard laughter from the long hair girl "Hahaha, you pooped your pants on your 8th birthday? Hahaha. That's so embarrassing" the long-haired girl said as she continued laughing. "H-hey. How was I supposed to know they were hiding in my room?" the classy looking guy said. Narukami was happy to see that his friends had never changed their ways.
The festivities continue on as the group of friends chat and laugh together all the while catch up on things Narukami missed since he left. "I nearly forgot to turn in my homework I was supposed to turn in 3 days ago. I'd never have been able to come here if Yukiko hadn't reminded me on the day it was due, '' Yosuke said, sounding disappointed in himself. "Well you were being forgetfull. And you say that we should do and turn in our homework on time." Chie said to Yosuke. "Well, that's because I've been busy handling Junes. And someone had to make sure Teddie didn't cause any trouble. Especially watching him not eat all the ice cream and popsicles again" Yosuke replied to Chie before looking at Teddie. "But you said if I was a good bear. I can have all the popsicles and yummy treats I want!" exclaimed Teddie. "Yeah. But you picked the wrong day to do it! And I said if you can keep a good behavior for at least a month. You can have it. And you were one day early!" exclaimed Yosuke. "It's not my fault I couldn't tell if a month has passed or not." Teddie said, defending himself, "Not only that, it's the fifth time this week someone had to remind you about your homework" , Chie said to Yosuke. He sighs before saying "I know". Yosuke looks down feeling more disappointed. "Come on Yosuke. It's not like you to be this disappointed in yourself. You're still trying your best!" Rise said, which is all it took for Yosuke to be perked right up. "Thanks Rise." Yosuke said. "Your welcome Yosuke-Senpai. I care for everyone gathered around here. But not as much as Senpai!" Rise said, looking at Narukami with a smile on her face. "Geez. This girl really doesn't hold back.." Chie said under her breath.
The festivities continued with high spirits until Yukiko remembered something. "Oh that's right. I nearly forgot about Masamune! I'll be right back!" Yukiko said as she went to go get Masamune, that's somewhere in the house. Narukami wondered what Yukiko was talking about. He asked Chie, who is Masamune. "Oh. Masamune. He's a. Or is it a she? It's something Yukiko calls it as a pet. She found it in a dark corner of the Amagi inn. Mainly the storage room, and neither of us knows if it's a boy or a girl. But we do know one thing, it can transform into us. Small or big versions of us. The other day, it transformed into Yosuke. And It was like looking in a mirror." Chie said as Narukami was shocked about it. He wondered if a shadow made it out of the T.V world. But since they defeated Izanami. There haven't been any incidents involving the T.V world. So what could this all mean Narukami wondered. Is this unknown entity like Teddie?
After some time Yukiko brings in the creature. Well, said to be a creature when she walked out with a sleeping Nanoko. "Here she is. Here is Masumune." Yukiko proudly presented Masumune as Narukami was shocked. It's as Chie was talking about. "Uhh Yukiko. Are you sure that's Masamune? That looks like Nanako-chan to me. The real one" Kanji said. "I am positive this is Masumune." Yukiko said. "But why is the other one trying to jump over that fence?" Teddie pointed out, looking at where the other Nanako was trying to jump out the fence. "I'll get it!" Chie said as Kanji follows her "No I'll get it!"
The other Nanako saw Chie and Kanji going to her. The other Nanoko jumped over the fence but got a leg stuck and landed face first on the ground turning back to its original form. Kanji jumped over the fence with ease while Chie was having trouble jumping over it. Kanji brought the Changeling back into the house and set it on the couch.
Narukami's friends gather around to look at the unconscious creature. It was small, had long green hair, big eyes, a horn that looked broken, holes on its legs, and a body that was pitch as night. "Is that. Masamune?" asked Narukami. "Yep. No doubt about it." answered Chie. "It's like Yukiko said. She doesn't know where it came from but found it in the storage room of the Amagi Inn. The staff wanted to throw it out but somehow Yukiko convinced them to let her keep it. And well. Let's say from there. Umm '' Yosuke has trouble saying the words that describe it. "For about 4 days, Yukiko came to school all drowsy. We were worried for her and asked if she had been working too hard at the Inn. She said she probably has." Rise said, as Chie followed it up. "Me and everyone but Naoto went to the Inn to help Yukiko but as we did. We heard strange noises coming from the kitchen. And Yukiko's laughter. We investigated, and well. Our reaction was the same as yours but not taken more. Calmy." Chie said as she turned to look at Yukiko. "Oh yeah. Your screaming scared him off. We were making cookies but I guess he was making too much noise before that. Eventually I caught him, and I had the idea of how we all should take care of Masamune. So I gave Masamune to Chie." Yukiko said. "I'll be honest. For something that looks scary. It's actually pretty cute." Chie happily says. "Cute? That thing nearly bit me!" Yosuke added. "Well that's because you were rough with it." Chie answered. "Yeah dude. If you want it to not bite you, you can take care of it as if it's some cute dog or something" Kanji advised Yosuke. "Calling it a dog is the least of my worries." Yosuke answered. "Yeah whatever Yosuke, so anyway. I took care of Masamune, and well. My parents thought it was the devil. But I reassured them it doesn't bite. I played with it and cuddled with it, til I felt very, super tired. So tired that I practically collapsed on the floor of my room. Still in my clothes from yesterday." Chie said, ending her point of view from Masamune.
The rest of Narukami's friends gave their point of view about Masamune. Yosuke and Teddie got Masamune after Chie, then to Kanji, to Rise, and to Naoto. But Naoto, like the prince detective she was, began to research what Masumune was. "When Rise gave me Masamune, I did some research on the creature. From times of old, there was a race of creatures called Changelings. From what I gathered, these creatures would kidnap people at night and replace them as they would transform into the said person who was kidnapped. But this one, is not like the other it would seem. Though there are multiple interpretations and versions of the Changelings. Did it gain a Consciousness just like teddie? No matter, this changeling steals energy from whoever gives it love and affection. Causing us to feel awfully tired." Noato deducted. "Then again, it could be just me overworking and overthinking this. But… I need more research on Masamune." Noato says as she then looks at Yukiko. "You don't mind me researching Masamune more? Right, Yukiko?" Noato asked. "Not at all Naoto-Kun. You can keep researching Masumune. Just make sure nothing drastic happens to him." Yukiko says to Naoto. Agreeing to her research on Masamune. "As much as I don't want this party to end. I'm afraid it has to end for today." Noato says with a disappointed tone. "It's okay Naoto. The sun is starting to set anyway." Narukami said. "Well. If we are going to end the party. Then let's end it with Teddie's greatest gift! And here it is!" Teddie proudly says as he vomited out a horse figure out of his mouth. "Ewww! Gross Teddie! Couldn't ya give it to him without us not seeing that?" Chie exclaimed to Teddie. Teddie ignored Chie's complaint and gave the horse figure to Narukami. "Here ya go sensei. My gift to you." Narukami grabs the horse figure, and surprisingly. It isn't covered in slobber.
After the festivities ended, all of Narukami's friends said their goodbye's, and all went back home. As for Naoto, she went back to the station to continue researching Masumune. For Narukami, there was nothing to do but to put the sleeping Nanoko in a comfortable place to sleep, which was the couch and waited for Nanoko to wake up. Or not.. Some time has passed in the Dojima household, Narukami nearly was about to fall asleep himself until he heard the doors sliding. "I'm back." said a grown man as he came into the house with a box. "O-oh. You're here. Welcome back." said the man as he set aside the box on the kitchen table. "Where is everyone? I thought they were all waiting for me to get the cake." the man questioned. "Sorry Dojima. They all left. Also, Nanako is asleep." Narukami answered. "I see… Well. Do you want cake? It's Vanilla." awkwardly asked Dojima. Narukami answered with a nod. "Alright but leave some for Nanoko. She will want some when she wakes up." Dojima said as the two began slicing, grabbing, and eating the sliced piece of cake.
"Say. Did you notice anything weird? Like. Well, one of your friends. Amagi. She has a. A pet. But not the kind of pet you normally see." Dojima questions as Narukami nods. "Oh. Well that saves me the trouble of explaining it to you." Dojima said as he continued eating his sliced cake. Suddenly Nanako awakens from her slumber. Yawning, she looked around, and saw that nothing had changed until she saw Narukami and her father Dojima having cake. "Is that? Cake?" Nanako got up from the couch and went to the table where the cake was. She noticed that there was a slice and fork ready for her. She took a bite at the cake, and likes it. "Hmm. Vanila." Nanako said happily, as she took more bites. Narukami wondered if Nanako could have her energy back just by sleeping. Does it apply to his friends and himself? Well. Guess that really isn't his problem. Narukami takes another slice of cake and eats it. For him, it was great to be back in Inaba.
*UNKNOWN*
The Pieces on the board are all set. Finally, and soon. It will begin. And the journey to reform her will begin. Soon.. "But what if it doesn't work? What if they fail?" Oh do not worry my pretty little friend. I know it will..
I took the other time, to create some, backdoors incase if anything begins to stray from the path.
But, I'm afraid I'll have to use said backdoors for a future scenario. She's here already, but not here at the same time. And has already commanded her subjects to attack the villages, forcibly. Taking their form and destroying it on their own in locations of her interests.
So it seems there has already been bumps on the road I layed out for them when they arrive. But not to worry.

This fanfic is something out of the Blue. It was never meant to be made, until a guy came to me, and created a scenario of Princess Celestia and her Shadow's dialogue, in a video called L-Train - Daybreaker Boogie. All I did was reference Persona 4, and the rest became history. My Partner and I created this fic, in the hope of changing the Brony community forever!
(That last part after the comma is prolly not true but only time will tell. Don't criticize a guy for having, a big ambition!)
