It's been a while since I updated this fic.

It has been one week since Karai introduced her friends to the gargoyles, and she thinks things have been going pretty smoothly. Although she thinks that Leonardo is still mad at her. She can't really blame him. They could have really helped them during Shredder's final assault, but she didn't want them to get hurt.

She decided to talk to Leo. She asked him to meet her at Murakami's after hours. She arrived first. "The usual, Karai?" Mr. Murakami asked.

"Yes, Pizza gyoza. Please." The chef nodded and went to prepare the food. The shop bell went off. She turned around and saw Leo who was smiling. "Hey, glad you made it," she said, giving him a smile back.

He walked over and sat down next to her at the counter. "So, is this a date or is there something you wanted to tell me? He asked rhetorically.

'Crap, this is our first real date,' she thought. "Both I guess. I *sigh* need to know if you're still mad at me for keeping the gargoyles and others a secret from all of you," she said in a fearful tone.

Leo turned to her. "I am not going to lie, a little, but really I'm just trying to figure out why you wouldn't tell us about them," he said.

"I actually don't know why I didn't. Maybe because I wanted a secret I knew about that didn't hurt me. If that's the reason then I am officially the most selfish person in the world," she sighed.

"No, Shredder still has the title until the universe is dead," he chuckled making her laugh too. "Look, the gargoyles and their friends seem great, and I'm glad they looked out for you when we weren't here. I think Splinter would have gotten along with Hudson."

"You and Goliath are alike too, you're both great leaders and care deeply about your clans. Lexington is like Donnie to almost a T. Broadway can be like Mikey. And Brooklyn can be like Raph. I'm really glad that it's out in the open now. You know, if it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't have had the guts to try to reform the Foot Clan."

"Why?"

She sighed. "When Father freed me from the brain worm. I remember that I was near the Labyrinth. So, I took it as a sign to go to the gargoyles before going back to you guys. I was so glad that they were all okay, but I still felt ashamed of what I did when I was under Shredder's control. They told me to go to their old enemy/friend, Macbeth. And before you ask, he is the original Macbeth, long story about that. He told me to try to bring honor to darkness to become worthy of both clans. Both Homonto and Foot. I asked David if he could help me to go to Japan and to find Shinigami."

Leo put his hand on hers. "You know, I get it. When the others and I were younger, we wanted to show that we were worthy of our adopted name. Splinter told us family never needs to prove anything to each other. And that stayed with us."

"I would like to go up to April's farmhouse and see his resting spot some time," she said with sadness in her voice.

"How about we go up next week? Maybe we both need a break. Maybe bring the Gargoyles if they want to come," he suggested.

"I would like that."

"Gyoza is served," the blind chef said as he placed the food in front of the mutant couple.
