Review Shoutouts

The embodiment of Weirdness – Yeah that is kind of the idea, she says she doesn't understand love, that she isn't some lovestruck heroine or how every time she says "I'll be waiting"; which emotion is she conveying?

The Storyteller993 – Like I said above in this case unlike the original story this one is more so my attempt for Momoyo to confront her emotions unlike Yamato's attempts to temper her, not that Nagamasa isn't going to do stuff for her to try and "sate" her battle want or go on a date.

King0fP0wers – She has A crush, but given that this is Momoyo's route, she has no place in this route except her usual schtick as the unrequited love interest.

And yes, Yamato is starting to show those signs… let's see where it goes from here…

Majikoi – Love Me Seriously! – Momoyo Route

The Goddess of War – Part 3

A Protégé and His Master

May 15th, 2009, Friday

Today, Momo-senpai and I were going to the secret base today. Mostly for some privacy since we never knew who would appear there.

But the main reason being is Momoyo got approval from Tesshin-sensei to show me a book of basic Kawakami-style techniques, but nothing outsiders weren't allowed to see like the famed Book of Ultimate Techniques. That was indeed way out of my league right now.

But as I was waiting for the final bell I kept to myself as the others were talking about various things they liked. For the girls surprisingly it was their shared like for the period drama called Yamato-maru's Dream Diaries and their love for the main characters Ryu and Masa.

"Mmm… Meditation complete." Wanko said in a trance like state, but finally opened her eyes.

"I don't know why you don't do your meditation before school, I always do it like that and I can still fit in our runs." I tell her.

"Hmm, I guess I prefer to do it at the end of the say since I'm not really doing anything really." Wanko replied.

"Nice job, Wanko-chan." Mayo congratulated her with a pat on the back.

"We're just talking about the kind of guys we like." Chika told her.

"Ahaha, I don't really… get that stuff." Wanko replied nervously with a laugh.

When suddenly the door opened and in came barging in Hideo Kuki himself, "Mwahaha! We grace you with our presence!"

Chris was entirely unfazed, "Oh, Kuki-dono."

But for a certain mascot, "W-wawa…"

"Kazuko-dono! You're as charming as ever!" And here he went trying to lay on the overdone charm. "We are of the same mind if you would let us join you in your after-school training, if you are willing."

Wanko laughed nervously again, "Ahaha, I mean I'm fine, I have a training partner Nagamasa, and besides I can train by myself if I need to."

"I see, I forgot those commoners there assist you as well. Especially you Azai-san…" He mysteriously trailed off as he said my name, don't tell me…?

"Even so, we would happily allow you to train in one of our state-of-the-art training facilities in order to increase your abilities as well as provide the best coaches and trainers that money can afford!" Again with the overbearingness.

"A whole training facility is… I mean, give me a mountain and I'm just fine." Wanko wrote off his offer.

But that didn't stop him, "Nature as your teacher? Spectacular! We admire your freedom!"

The attention was a bit much for Wanko as she felt overwhelmed and I became annoyed; slamming my fist on the desk I confronted Hideo as I sat, "Oi, Kuki… isn't it obvious your aiming Kazuko feel uncomfortable?"

"He's right, if you wanna be loud go do it in your own classroom, Kuki." Minamoto awoke from his nap to speak his piece.

"Precisely. This light novel I was reading was moving me to tears, but now your filthy presence as ruined my serenity." Suguru joined in as well.

"Silence, commoners. Who gave you permission to speak to us like that?" Kuki seemed tense now as well as he looked around surrounded by unwelcomed faces.

"You looking to pick a fight Kuki? Let's go right now then…" For once I felt like agreeing with Gakuto.

"Mwahahaha! We actually find your recklessness adorable commoners!" Kuki instead remained defiant himself.

Wanko now was quite uncomfortable as she saw everyone arguing with Kuki on her behalf, Chika shut the 2-S representative down, "Kuki-kun, I think Wanko would like some time to herself, thank you."

Kuki seemed to get the message, "Hmm, we would not want to contravene her will… Then we shall return to our classroom. Besides the sight of Kazuko-dono's adorable visage shall carry us throughout the rest of the day." And so the Kuki heir came in like a storm and left like one.

"Sorry about that Kazuko, I shouldn't have started that…" I tell her.

"N-No… thanks for trying to make him back off." She seemed thankful.

But now I can see why everyone was always so roused when someone from Class 2-S entered the room you could just feel the rivalry, the intensity, and the growing pride on both sides festering…

Leaving school as soon as the final bell rung I immediately ran for the secret base, when I reached the room I saw that Momoyo was the only one there and she was having a deep nap on the sofa.

I knew she liked her sleep so I didn't bother here and decided to pass the time reading a book waiting for her to wake up.

Momoyo' light snores were accompanied by her occasional tossing around on the sofa, "Mmm…Zzz…"

"Haaa… I feel so dirty just looking at her like this it feels like a crime for some reason…" I say to myself. In the perfect position, you could possibly see her underwear.

Seeing a nearby small blanket, I grabbed it and walked near the couch…

"Oh no… my shoelaces are united…" Looking down I go to tie one of my shoes, while doing so I look up slowly and try to see through my peripheral vision, but to my shock…

"Kuh… " She'd closed her legs. I stood up and once again she was in her same sexy, seductive posture again.

*Twitch*… *Twitch*…

"Hmm… Oh, no my other shoelaces are untied!" Doing the same pattern, I looked up only to find… they were closed again! No wait, this has to be a trap.

"Oh fuck this…" I go back to my seat with a slight huff, but I go back to my book only to hear the sofa ruffle as Momoyo wakes up.

"Haha… I never thought you were that much of a chicken, my little protégé…" Momoyo said teasingly.

Tsk… I should've known she was just playing with me. I feel so stupid…

"I thought you'd honestly come over and try something. I was going to test a new torture move on you I wanted to use on Yamato first to test, but…"

"Well then good thing my instinct for self-preservation kicked in at the right moment." I shot back.

"Here, it's the book of family techniques we teach to new members. All kinds of techniques from attack, defense, support, etc. are in that book. Just like you asked." Momoyo offered me the book, it was quite thick to despite only being one volume.

If I wanted to get stronger I needed to not just rely on my own power but other abilities as well. I opened the book and began skimming some of the opening pages.

"I'm surprised you're allowed to show this to outsiders like me, you know since this is technically it's a book of your family's techniques." I said.

"Actually these techniques are ones that most monks at the temple are taught from Barrier, Restoration, Invigoration; things like that." Momoyo explains.

I immediately sit down and begin reading the book on the couch.

"Haha, you're really that invested huh?" Momoyo commented, but I didn't reply as I continued to read the book.

"… Hmm." Momoyo groaned at the quiet silence.

I continued reading the book, "Mmmm…." Momoyo was getting more and more annoyed.

As I turned one more page that's when she couldn't take it anymore, "I'm bored!"

Then suddenly I'm flipped onto my back as Momoyo mounts me her eyes have that same hungry look, but more so devious and mischievous than anything else.

"What the hell!?" I yell out.

"Play with me." She demanded, and while I'd faltered for a second I found the will to try and resist.

"Then should we play a game?" I ask.

"Not in the mood…" She replied.

"Want to go sing karaoke?" I inquire again.

"I'm broke, if you pay for me I'll do it." Damn it woman, are you truly this insatiable?

"Then what about shogi?" Anything at this point…

"How about a game of Kawakami Temple's famous real shogi, you versus me? The rules are simple." I don't think I'd like that game.

"I feel as though I'll leave a lot of regrets if I play that, so No." I say.

"You're no fun. Dammit, guess I'll just tickle you instead." She begins to tickle me as she says this at the same time and locked under her I can't help but laugh as I struggle to escape.

"Ahahaha… N-No… s-stop… I – Ahaha… I beg you… N-No…" I try to beg as she tickles my stomach.

"Oh? I sense people coming. It's Mayu-mayu, Mororo, Kri and… Yamato." The last name made me panic a bit; for the last few days I haven't really known what Yamato's reaction to me and Momoyo hanging out all the time has been effecting him.

"W-well… Hahaha… go play real shogi with them… Kuuuuh… s-stop it please…" She still tickles me.

"Hmm? So that book is more important than me or your friends?" She interrogated me.

"Ahaha… n-no… Hey please… Hahaha, no more… stop please!" I beg her.

"Then I'm definitely not stopping." She says with a cheeky grin as she continues.

"Nooo… please god above… i-it hurts… A-hahahah… my stomach… it hurts… Hahaha…"

"It's fine. The four of them will get to see you all worn out and tired. And you can't refuse. Why? Because I'm your master and you're my protégé. And I can do whatever I want to my little protégé." She said all of this without losing her smile.

"But if you want me to stop… beg." She told me.

"Even if I… Ahaha… you'd still wouldn't get off me…"

"You're learning just like Yamato used to. You're both cheeky, I'll have to punish you for that!" And so she resumed her tickle torture.

Just outside the door…

"Um… Do you think we should wait outside?" Mayucchi asked nervously.

Moro entered like it was business as usual, "Eh it's fine. Given with how much they've been hanging out this was bound to happen."

"Well… if you say so." Mayucchi agrees and walks inside.

"Even though this is a first, I happen to agree with Moro's assumption. Are you coming, Yamato?" Chris asked the Tactician as she entered the room too.

He watched as his Nee-san was playfully torturing her new student or protégé as she called him. As he looked at the sight before him, he couldn't described it but he knew the feeling…

One he'd never thought he'd have before… he confessed he didn't like seeing her do that to another guy.

And in layman's terms? He was just a bit jealous of the attention that Momoyo was giving to this new guy. Sure he'd been with them for some time, but she'd known Yamato for years, to him this just felt so odd and confusing.

Even so he entered keeping a neutral face, "With our group anything's bound to happen. So big deal…"

"See that? The newbies already think nothing of me mounting you for the first time." Momoyo says with her trademark smirk.

"D-Dammit you guys, this should be shocking!" I scream out.

And so for the rest of the day, she teases me relentlessly. I was at her mercy in that moment, not my greatest I'll admit.

May 18th, 2009, Monday

We were on our way to school when Chris caught sight of a passing cat, "Oh, a cat! There are truly many cats in Japan."

"That's because there are edicts forbidding cruelty to animals in Japan." Yamato stated, and of course Chris believed it.

"Of course Japan has such rules. Amazing…" Chris said in amazement.

Moro feeling bad for the girl, "Chris, you should learn to be less trusting…"

"Although there is the story of the one Tokugawa shogun who was rather… infamously named for his laws forbidding animal cruelty, but that later backfired when the number of stray animals began to bring a foul odor to the city in Edo and other provinces." I told her.

"Hmm… I see. So even though there are rules, there must obviously be a limit." Chris said seriously.

"You take him seriously, but just trust whatever Yamato says?" Moro seemed even more confused.

And so after hearing the greatest imitation of a 'Meow' in my life, the kitten took a liking to Miyako as it approached her with interested eyes.

However as Chris tried to get Momoyo's attention she saw that the latter was already excited and fidgeting around happily and excited.

"I'm so… excited!" Momoyo cheered. "A challenger's coming all the way from America."

"They came all the way from Japan? Wow, that's incredible." Mayucchi said surprised that someone was willing to come to Japan just for the slim chance of fighting the Goddess of War herself.

"Who is it this time?" Gakuto asks.

"Umm… Nagamasa, what was it again? Karamazov?" Wanko says incorrectly.

"No, Wanko; it's Gail Caracal and his brother Gates who are coming by later." I corrected her.

"The older brother is said to be one of the best martial artists in America." Momoyo tells us.

"Wow, they smell like strong opponents." Miyako commented.

"We'll be fighting at Kawakami Temple this afternoon. Want to come watch?" Momoyo asks everyone else.

With nearly everyone agreeing to come, the day at school went by so quickly the orange sky settled over Kawakami Temple everyone was there to see Momoyo face Gail Caracal.

The brothers were just as I remembered them; Gail was a giant of a man who looked more like a wrestler/bodybuilder with his muscles and height, while his brother Gates was the opposite, skinnier, shorter, and his trademark computer in his hands.

"I have been looking forward to facing you, Momoyo." Gail said excitedly.

"Same here." Momoyo looked ready to go.

After that they both headed for the ring; Momoyo in the west and Gail in the east. On Gail's side we could see him fiddling with his computer as he conferred with his brother about their plan to "beat" Momoyo.

"West corner, Kawakami Momoyo!" Tesshin announced first.

"Ready!" Momoyo stood ready as if her life depended on it.

"East corner, Caracal Gail!" Tesshin announced the challenger.

"Okay!" Gail signaled he was ready.

With Tesshin's hand in the air, everything was quiet as he announced the match, "Stand tall and fight fair! Now… BEGIN!"

Immediately Momoyo rushed in towards Gail, but the brother was more than "ready" for her, "Heheh, just as brother said, you're going for a right straight punch…"

Then just as suddenly Momoyo disappeared from Gail's view, "Huh, she disappeared…"

"Haaaah!" She then reappeared and unleashed her attack straight at him.

"Gaah!" As Gail screamed, a bright light engulfed our visions as we covered our eyes. Eventually the light vanished as we all say an unconscious Gail on the floor.

"It's quite obvious she moved, but her speed is simply out of this world. She obviously attacked him with her right hand, but punch or not he wasn't capable of taking it." I commented.

"Hmm, I couldn't even see where she punched., she was so fast as Nagamasa said. But I do agree it had to be a right straight punch." Chris agreed.

"Yes, it was as if she punched right through him." Mayucchi was probably the only one of us who kept up with her given her own abilities and position.

After the fight, looking at Momoyo it was obvious she expected more as her face showed nothing but dissatisfaction.

"Winner, Kawakami Momoyo!" Tesshin announces but seeing her not pay her respects he whispers to her, "Bow, bow…"

Momoyo merely bobs her head. Everyone cheers for her win as she puts on a fake smile for everyone.

"Momo-senpai…" I said a bit worryingly.

"…?" Yamato looked confused though at Momoyo's lack of pride.

After the fight Kazuko and I went back to our own training, for me I was outside meditating. My sword by my side, my eyes closed and my mind focused…

…!

"There!" I exclaimed as I slashed the bamboo post. I had been doing this exercise for a while now. While I had been a student of Kendo and Kenjutsu, to expand my arsenal Lu-sensei and Tesshin thought it best if I learned Iaijutsu.

With what little light remained I continued my quick-draw training, however while doing so…

"Hahahaha! It is always good to see the next generation so diligently training!" That hearty laughter, but with a female voice; it has to be…

I turn to see that it is indeed Ageha Kuki in the flesh, what as she doing here at the Temple and this late as well?

"A-Aren't you Ageha Kuki, one of the Four Divas of Japan?" I say surprised by her sudden appearance as I hadn't even sensed her despite how calm my body was and how receptive I like to pride myself on being.

"I heard that Kawakami Temple had taken in a new student, and to my surprise it was a foreigner of all people they took in, but as I see you I can tell you are of Japanese heritage. And you seem to know me so greetings aren't necessary." Ageha replied.

"But what're you doing here? At this time of the day even?" I was still confused as to why he was suddenly here of all places.

"To be honest, I was here to visit an old friend of mine but sadly it appears she is not here now. But seeing you train has gotten me into a mood of sorts. I will assist you with your training!" She declared.

"Eh!?" THE Ageha Kuki wants to help me with MY training!? Is this a dream or something? This feels like the time I met Margit, but much more friendly if not a bit imposing still.

"But of course. The training today will be simple, you must last at least 1 mihnute while facing me!" What?!

"Begin!" Immediately Ageha charged at me, even with my guard up I feel myself skidding along the ground the only thing keeping me from going flying was my sword being dug into the ground.

1…

2…

3…

But Ageha didn't stop there, she immediately followed up her attack by charging me again with a series of punches, I knew in many ways she and Momoyo were the same but verily different. Ageha was more conservative like a cheetah waiting for the perfect moment to strike, unlike Momoyo who was like a wrecking ball wanting to destroy.

"Pay attention!" She yelled at me, as a kick of hers got through my guard.

4…

5…

6…

Once again, I skidded along the ground but lost my blade in the process, now with no weapon I had no choice but to engage hand to hand. It might've been a futile effort, but I charged at the Kuki heiress unleashing my own barrage of punches and kicks, but with much more experience and training under her belt I might as well have moved like a snail.

7…

8…

9…

"I can feel the emotion behind your blows, but that alone is not power. This…!" She suddenly unleashed a heavy jab into my stomach. "… is power!"

But I continued to stand with nothing but my sheer willpower in the moment, and with that driving me I grabbed her arm and pinned it, and uing my elbow tried to jab at her face, but she too blocked this.

10…

11…

12…

With no other moves I could use for my arms, I tried a low seep which seemed to catch Ageha a little off guard as she probably expected me to falter by now, I then used my knee to try and attack her but she recovered in mid-air as we both separated.

13…

14…

15…

"Hahaha! I must admit young one, you are impressive to have been standing up this long, my own butler struggles to survive 5 seconds against me let alone 15… but this is the end!" Ageha then disappeared just as with Momoyo in her fight against Gail, I was then once again punched in the stomach and this time the pain was too much as I faltered and nearly keeled over.

I threw up the contents of my stomach right hen and there as Ageha stood above.

"I can tell you have skill, drive and talent. But I can still sense in you there's a limiter you have put on yourself. You feel as though if you somehow let go you will be uncontrollable. That couldn't be farther from the truth…" What did she mean?

"What's a warrior's pride; their spirit relies on is them not truly losing themselves in battle but throwing themselves into their own instinct, their own faith and resolve in their abilities. Whenever I fought I always felt my blood boil, my body tighten and my body would tingle from the excitement of any battle. You must let go of that limiter… let go of what holds you back young Nagamasa..." Ageha continues.

"My resolve…?"

"My own faith…?"

"All this time… was I putting a handicap on myself?"

My own thoughts began to drift as I used what energy I could to continue listening, "Remember young warrior, do not think that battle is something to lose yourself in, you must tame it, use your spirit, your pride and contain that unrelenting hold of battle and make it your ally. You must also remember for in a battle even if it seems you are alone, that you are always surrounded by friends that will cheer you on…"

I take the last of her words as I finally black out. Ageha retrieves my sword and sheathes it for me, "A fine blade indeed… one worthy of the Azai name. You will be a great warrior yet. And should you ever be looking for opportunities in the future." She fished a card out of her pocket and placed one in mine.

"Join the Kuki Conglomerate and you will soar even higher with us! Hahaha… Oh, seems I've overstayed my welcome. I wish you luck, Azai Nagamasa. Until we meet again." And with that Ageha begins to head back to Kuki HQ on her own.

While still laying there someone approaches and picks me up and takes me on their back , "You idiot… fighting a former Diva, what were you thinking?"

Eventually I start to come a little bit too, my eyes open slightly as all I can see is black, raven hair in my vision. I softly smile as I hear a door slide open and I'm laid down onto the futon and the blanket is placed over me.

"Sweet dreams, Nagamasa. You will go far… come on… I'll be waiting." The sweet voice says as they close the door.

"I will… get stronger!"

AN#1 – Well here's the third part of the Momoyo route – "The Goddess of War" to my Majikoi story, I'm NOT a Samurai, Seriously. First off, Momoyo and Nagamasa seem to be getting closer and closer as their own bond seems to now mimic what she and Yamato had. But the Tactician is starting to get a little bit testy about it.

Then later the next day, after Momoyo defeats Gail Caracal as he trains at night Nagamasa gets a surprise visit from THE Kuki Ageha of all people and is challenged to a training spar but is easily defeated at her hand.

But now he must learn a new lesson: Remove the limiters he has placed upon himself and unlock not just new skills and abilities but unleash his true inner potential as a warrior.

What's up next for our hero, Nagamasa? Stay tuned for Momoyo Route – Part 4 – This Is How I Feel…
