Izuku's found family
This is a fanfic for fun it may be missing some of the details the anime has and of course, I don't own any of the characters or the anime but the fanfic was living in my head and wanted out.
Izuku quirks
Sakura energy manipulation: strength and healing from the energy that's stored in her body.
Ai sight and hearing manipulation: quark sight, can manipulate other's sight and hearing, look at people through their minds, and hear and see other's thoughts.
Kipo purple jaguar: can turn into a giant purple jaguar with six legs and three tales.
Shinso mind control: if someone answers him he takes control of their mind.
Hatsu may zoom eyes: zoom querk can see faraway things or small things closer.
Eri rewind: when the horn grows she can rewind living things before they existed or to a certain point.
Dobby blue fire: can produce extremely hot blue flames and is resistant to the cold.
Izuku's mom had just died in an accident with a villain near her workplace and his dad had him sent to an orphanage. The opening looked scary to Izuku from the outside it had paint chipping off the building, broken windows, and was obviously in a bad neighborhood. The inside wasn't much better, it was dirty with old furniture and beer bottles scattered throughout the kitchen and living room. The cair taker was this skinny silky woman who kept scowling at Izuku and four other kids who looked scared in a room down the hall. The lady never said her name she told Izuku to go to the room with the other kids and to not come out without permission. Izuku was scared and wanted nothing more than to run back out the door of this offal place back to his mom but the scary man from the car said he couldn't and that his mom was gone. This memory made some tears fall down his face. When he finally finished shuffling to the room and opened the door he tried to wipe away his tears but one of the kids came up to him. A girl, she looked older than the others, she knelt down on her neas and said hi I'm Ai and I'm the oldest one here, what's your name?
Izuku: my name's Mydoria Izuku. Sniffle
Ai: well it's nice to meet you Izuku.
She held out her hand that Izuku shook. She then looked at the other kids.
Ai: Hay can the rest of us please come say hi to Izuku he's a new part of our family.
That word sparked something in Izuku's chest and somehow made things seem a little better.
Then a different little girl with pink hair came up to Izuku and held out her hand I'm Sakura I'm six and welcome to the family. Izuku shook her hand then turned to the other girl with purple hair that scoured up to him holding the hand of a purple-haired boy and holding out her other hand. I'm Kipo I'm six and I also want to welcome you to the family. Ai then moved to the purple-haired boy and asked if he could say hi out loud. This confused Izuku, and then the boy shook his head no. Ai just smiled at the boy and said it was ok.
Ai: This is Hitoshi Shinso he is also six and has a hard time talking but he wants to welcome you as well.
The boy held out his hand and Izuku shook it.
Izuku: it's nice to meet you all. Where am I supposed to sleep?
Ai: well we all share that bed over there and that's where you will half to sleep too.
Sakura: ya unless you want to sleep on the floor where the cockroaches can get you.
Ai: Sakura! Don't scar him can't you see he's already scared and sad?
Sakura looked ashamed and said sorry then looked down. Shinso noted Izuku was going to cry and let go of Kipo's hand grabbed Izuku's hand then led him to the bed. Well, bed was a generous word for it when it was just a lumpy matric on the floor with a few blankets. Shinso crawled on first not letting Izuku's hand go and when they were both sat together with their backs against the wall Ai made her way over to them grabbed a blanket and tucked them both in. The other kids followed Shinso's lead crawled in and sat on either side of the two boys. Once everyone settled Izuku took it as a sign to let his sadness out so he cried and cried until he couldn't cry the other kids just sat and waited. Kipo decided to rub Izuku's back while he cried and Ai hummed you'll be in my heart from Tarzan and tried to hug all the kids. This lasted till the sun went down and the room went dark.
The next morning Izuku woke up confused by the unfamiliar room then he noticed the other kids in the bed with him and his memories of the day prior came rushing back to him. He was still emotionally drained but noticed that Ai was not in the room so he gently got out of the bed trying not to wake up the other kids. He opened the door to the sound of crying, so he followed the sound to the living room to see Ai sitting back against the wall with a phone in her hand. Izuku slowly made his way to her crouched down and asked.
Izuku: Hay Ai what's the matter why are you crying?
Ai: sniffle oh hay Izuku well uh how about you go wack up everyone and I'll make breakfast and then I'll tell you ok.
Izuku: ok.
They both got up Izuku quickly gave her a hug which she returned as a few stray tears fell. Then he took off to the room. It took some time for Izuku to get Shinso up but he did it. When they had all the kids sitting on the kitchen floor with a bowl of cereal Ai wanted till they all had finished eating before she spoke.
Ai: OK so guys it looks like we will have to leave this place.
She held a hand up to stop the others from asking questions.
Ai: you all can ask your questions after I'm done talking. Okay so it turns out that Izuku's case worker gave a lot of money to the caretaker and she took it upon herself to use the money on things that made it, where she would not be coming back to us and the people that own this building, don't want us living here anymore so we will be taking our selves and things we will need and we will find a new place to live and no this is no one's fault and we will be fine I promise to do everything in my power to keep us all together and safe. Ok, hands you.
She pointed to Sakura.
Sakura: where will we go?
Ai: will be walking to a safer you.
She pointed to another kid.
Kipo: what do we grabe?
Ai: you all grabe your bags with your stuff and the blankets and if you still have room then come in here and put some of the food in them OK. Any more questions?
Shinso signed how will we get food after the food here runs out?
Ai: good question and I'll tell you later ok.
Shinso shook his head and the kids went to work. Izuku however never unpacked his bag so he went up to Ai who was taking a breath and ran her hands through her hair.
Izuku: Ai my bag is still packed and there's a little room in it.
Ai gave him a worm-worn smile Izuku remembered his mom would give him.
Ai: OK you go let's go get it then.
They went to the room together Izuku grabbed his bag from by the door and noticed the other kids making their way to the kitchen and that all the blankets that were on the bed were gone. After a few minutes of the kids reading the cupboards of food, Ai came back into the kitchen with four big bags she then looked around and nodded to herself.
Ai: All alright everyone please put on your jackets and bags and let's go.
They left the old house and walked in a straight line for many blocks. Ai made sure to have them all take breaks and did a head count every break. When they made it to Musutafu Izuku would point out everything and place he recognized but they didn't stop till they made it to an abandoned house near Takoba Municipal Beach Park. Ai directed them in closed the door locking it with the still-working deadbolt and started pulling out a collapsible tent and a big futon that she put in the tent. She then pulled out some eggs and instant rice along with a pot and a pan then she grabbed a lighter.
Ai: OK everyone bag's in the tent then follow me out to the beach. OK?
They all either shook their heads or said yes and did as asked. Then Izuku and Sakura rushed to grab a pot or pan and they all followed her to the trash-filled beach. She directed them to behind a pile of garbage and an old car. They sat their things down in the sand and cleared a spot to sit. Ai grabbed a hub cap some driftwood and an old newspaper and made a fire as the sun went down. Then they grabbed an old shopping cart laid it on its side and pushed the hubcap in it, then Ai got to work she went to the public water outlet by the toilets filled the pot, and then put it over the fire to boil then she started to cook the eggs. After a while they had rice and eggs in paper boles Ai grabbed from one of her bags and after a while they heard something moving in the garbage near them. They all became stiff and frightened at the unknown thing moving in the garbage. After a few moments of no noise, they started to relax then they hired it again so Ai grabbed a pipe and made her way to the noise ready to swing. She put it down before she even got two steps then she yelled out.
Ai: OK we know you are there and I know you are hungry please come out and I'll feed you.
After a moment a girl with pink dreads their age came stumbling out from behind the garbage pile she was hiding behind.
Ai: hi what's your name?
Ai asked while handing the girl a bole of food as she sat down.
May: Hatsum May. why are all of you out here?
Sakura: shouldn't we be asking you that?
Ai: Hay those are both good questions. And I'll answer May's question first because she asked first. May, we are out here because we have no home and need to cook in a safe place. Now can you please tell us why you are out here?
May: my mom and dad left too America and said they didn't want a pest like me so they brought me hear three days ago I'm so hungry and scared and lonely.
She then looked at the bowl of food in her hand and started to gave the girl a hug and made shusing noises while rubbing her back.
Ai: it's OK May your parents were meant to do that and if everyone doesn't mind you can join us.
The other kids looked at Ai and then each other collectively nodded and said ya she can stay.
Sakura: Hay May I'm sorry for being mean.
May: It's OK you must have had a bad day.
May said with a light smile and a chuckle. They then finished eating put out the fire with the sand and made their way back to the house holding hands and mad room in the tent then they all got in their pajamas girls in the tent boys outside the tent, May borrowed some from Ai then they got settled in on the futon with the manny blankets.
Izuku however felt the need to ask one more question before he could sleep.
Izuku: Ai can I ask a question?
Ai: ya what's up buddy?
Izuku: are you all of our mom now?
Ai: I will be whatever you want me to be.
This satisfied Izuku and so he snuggled up to her side and fell asleep.
