Heyo this is gonna be a weird update so uh there's your heads up and all. This ain't a character prologue- Hell I'mma just say now, this update is about those prologues, so uh...yeah keep reading to find out what's going on there.
I'll cut to the chase cause I hate keeping people in suspense on something so like...Non-essential and all. I don't really wanna do the prologues anymore. They were cool and fun to do at first but with each passing one they've just gotten more annoying than anything. There's really only so many ways I can write, "and then they got invited" before it really starts to drive me freaking crazy man. And they also are just eating up so much time- they ain't long chapters, people breeze right through that shit like its nothing if they got a decent reading level which makes the disproportionate amount of time spent on writing them that much more of a pain in the ass.
And let's be real here- they don't characterize the cast too much. I actually started writing these prologues at all cause my logic was I could use them as an excuse to play out these guys a bit early- throw them out there to get people's vibes on them and get feedback on how to write them. But that don't make any sense cause the chapters barely spend any time with the characters themselves, yknow? Like Tandemaus' was the one that felt the most like actual character writing and their scenes total weren't even like a full 1k in words- everyone else has had like half that at best besides maybe Florges, and even hers felt more like the space around her than her, feel me?
Beyond that there's also just some characterization stuff I wanna feel out a bit more: I feel like I ain't writing the supporting cast too great. Lot of them don't got enough personality to me besides Garchomp, Empoleon, Bastiodon, and maybe Houndoom. Lot of them sorta feel like they're blending together in one mass since I didn't really think out how they'd play off each other or others too much yet. When it comes to actually planning this things out, I wanna have the space to make all these guys into more complex amalgamations of who they be.
Also I don't wanna give anybody who wants to actually read the story 18 full ass chapters of homework to read first, that's lame as fuck.
So uh...Yeah I ain't doing more prologues I think. Sorry if that's disappointing to any of you. Its just too much for what feels like a pretty unnecessary part of the story. We're still accepting applications...But since like, I ain't doing these now, I will confirm more OCs now. This'll basically be all the ones I knew already were making the cut.

Everyone who got accepted will get a bio still- after the whole cast is finalized. Then I'll just bundle all the bios together into one big chapter. Till then, I got 13/18 types done and settled, so that means there's only 5 left to go for: Electric, Ground, Psychic, Rock, and Water. I've already got submissions in for all those technically and I do got some of them I'm leaning toward in terms of like finalizing em and shit, but I'm gonna give people a chance to still change my mind.
