Jaune Arc, Vampire Slayer
It was a cold, dark night. The full moon shone brilliantly, as if cutting through the pitch blackness of the midnight air.
Jaune stood atop the cliff-top, breathing out heavily, as he stared down his opponent. There opposite of him, stood the deadly vampire.
The two of them glared at each other, a heavy tension filling the space between them. On one side stood Ruby Rose, Scion of The Noble Rose vampire clan. On the other end stood Jaune Arc, heir to the Prestigious Arc family of vampire hunters.
Jaune was the first to break the silence. "Harken, ye foul dymphyr! Tonight will be the last night of your reign of terror!"
The rosen vampire, adorned in blood-red clothes, merely laughed, "Ohoho! We shall see about that, oh brave sir knigh -"
She paused, "Wait, did you just call me a dum-pire?!"
"What?" Jaune paused. "Oh, no, no. I was calling you a dymphyr...Y'know, like a half-vampire kind of thing...?"
"Uh!" Ruby let out a sharp offended squawk. "I can't believe you just called me that!" (Jaune actually thought it was quite cute, not that he would ever admit it to anyone in his family).
Ruby let out a few more offended sounds, before continuing, "I could have you prosecuted by the Bloodsucker's Anti-Defamation League for that, you know!"
"Whoa, geez," Jaune said, "Sorry, sorry, I just meant it as a term of classification, not as a derogatory -"
Jaune paused. "Wait, there's a Bloodsucker's Anti-Defamation League?"
Ruby nodded, "Yep. And they're gonna be on your case so hard after what you just said, buddy!"
Ignoring her, Jaune continued to ask, "Well, if they're a blood bloodsucker's Anti-Defamation League, does that mean they cover ghouls, too? Or things like mosquitos? Or how about just people with really weird and terrible hobbies or medical conditions? Are they covered, too?"
"I...huh?" Caught off-guard by his question, Ruby actually started pondering about his inquires, "You know, now that you mention it, I have to wonder..."
"Right?"
Ruby nodded. But then shook her head, "Stop getting me distracted, you stupid human!"
"Okay, now that's discriminatory." Jaune remarked, "What, I don't get a free pass for being a human, now?"
"Shut up!" Ruby argued, "You don't know what I've been through! It was bad enough when all the other vampire kids at vampire school started teasing me for being a half-vampire and not being able to suck blood properly! I don't want to start hearing that from humans, too!"
"Oh..." Jaune said, scratching the back of his in embarrassment. "Sorry about that, I guess."
"Apologies accepted." Ruby nodded, seemingly about to go back to her hunting position. But then she paused as well, "But, wait..."
"Yeah?"
"Why do humans call them damp-pyres? Is that like, because they're insinuating that half-vampires are like pyres that won't start...? Cause if so, that's really offensive."
"I dunno, honestly. Maybe it's just a reference to mouth-blood moisture content?" Jaune wagered a guess.
"Ew! That's so gross, though!"
Jaune shrugged, "I mean, that's just the way my family's been calling half-vampires for years, so..."
Ruby shuddered at the Arc family's poor naming sense.
"Besides, as a vampire, or at least a half-vampire, are you really one to talk? I mean you've been sucking out a whole village's worth of blood, so..."
Ruby looked offended at Jaune's sudden accusations. "Okay, first off? That wasn't me. That was probably half-sister Yang. I'm not some kind of low down-succubus who would just suck people's blood without their permission!"
"That kind of thing is, you know..." Ruby pulled her hood over her head, as she started to blush a bit and twiddle her finger together, "That-that kind of thing should only be done with some special, you know?"
"Huh?" Jaune had never heard of such rules among vampires before. and none that he had witnessed during job shadowing seemed to have that kind of idea, either.
Ruby coughed loudly, "Anyways!" She started back, "Let-let's just get back to what were doing before, alright?!"
"Uhhhhhh, sure...?" Jaune got back into vampire-hunting position, as Ruby also prepared to pounce on the defenseless human ahead of her.
...
It was a dark, cold night. The moon shone brilliantly, as if cutting through the pich blackness of the midnight air.
The two of them glared at each other, a heavy tension filling the space between them. On one side stood Ruby Rose, Scion of The Noble Rose vampire clan. On the other end stood Jaune Arc, heir to the Prestigious Arc family of vampire hunters.
"You know," Jaune interrupted, "If you weren't the one sucking blood, I don't really have much reason to start slaying you and everything..."
"In fact," Jaune stated, rather enthusiastically, in fact, "If you don't mind, I could just, you know...Leave you alone. I wouldn't mind!"
"Oh..."
Ruby paused...
"Well, let's get to it, anyways!" Ruby stated, with full enthusiasm, "It's what vampires and vampire-hunters are supposed to do, right?!"
"Ri-right..." Somehow, Jaune didn't sound that pleased about the whole thing.
"Dang it..." Jaune muttered under his breath, "Well, there goes my only chance..."
'Welp, I'm doomed.' He though to himself. 'Eh, oh well, it's been a good run. At least I get to go out by a cute half-vampire instead of a wrinkly old man. Could be a lot worse, honestly.'
Jaune had never really been one for fighting vampires. His whole family had tried to instill their techniques and methods and mentality into him, but he really could not just quite get into it.
Vampires were just too scary, honestly. And the one time he had accidently helped out with slaying a vampire? They thought that meant he was ready. (He was NOT.)
Ruby pounced on to his juicy and moist defenseless body, holding out his neck and restraining him with her viciously monstorous dympyrhic strength.
"Please make it quick..." Jaune muttered.
"Are-aren't you gonna fight back...?" She asked, noticing the lack of resistance on his part.
"Uh, no...?" Jaune replied, "Don't really know how to, you know...?"
"Oh..."
"In any case, please be gentle..." Jaune said, "This is my first time and all..."
"Oh, oh..." Ruby blushed, "It's mine, too. So..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Aren't you gonna bite me...?"
Jaune was a noticing a noticeable lack of biting going on in his immediate vicinity.
"Don't, don't rush me!" Ruby insisted, "I'm trying!"
She was apparently suffering under a lot of performance pressure, nervously jittering her head around and focusing intently upon Jaune's fleshly, pulsing pillar.
She was just about ready to take a bite when...
"Oh ho...!" A boisterous voice cried out, "I see you've finally found yourself a man, sis!"
"Yang?!"
"Who...?" In the midst of all the confusion, Jaune had completely forgotten about Ruby's sister. 'Oh wait, oh no. This is that girl, right?'
"Mom would be so proud!" Yang teased, "You gonna make him your servant first? Or just suck him dry completely?"
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaang!" Ruby complained, "Don't pressure me! I'll, I'll get it done! Really! Just give me a few moments!"
She gave Ruby a few moments.
Jaune did, too.
Nothing happened.
"...Want me to show you how it's done, sis?" Yang teased. Slowly, but surely, she approached Jaune.
Her fangs began to approach Jaune's sharp, pulsing arteries, when...
"Stoooooooooooop!" Ruby yelled out, dramatically, "He's my man, Yang!"
Yang rose an eyebrow, "Your man, huh?" Yang questioned, "So you've finally hit vampire puberty, huh?"
"Yaaang..."
"You're getting more and more like mom everyday. I'm sure she would be so proud of you!"
Ruby blushed once again. "You know what I meant! My human! My prey, I mean."
"Sure, sure." Yang teased, "Just make sure mom doesn't find out, or she'd push for the wedding immediately."
Jaune paused.
"Wait," Jaune asked, "Vampires go through puberty?"
"Yep!" Yang replied, "You know, when they start developing their secondary sexual characteristics, like boobs, hips, fangs..."
"Fangs are a sexual characteristic for vampire's?!" Jaune asked. He looked at Ruby. "Wait, does that mean you were trying to..."
Ruby blushed crimson, now.
"I mean, I'm flattered and everything, and you're really cute, but I really feel like we should be trying to get to know each other better first, and..."
"Geez! It's not like that! Don't make it weird!" She insisted, "Yang, tell him it's not like that!"
Yang shrugged, "I mean, it kind of is..."
"Only for a succubus like you!" Ruby insisted, shooting back at Yang. Yang shrugged again.
"I just take 'em where I can get 'em, sis."
"Anyways, I'm sorry." Jaune said, "I'm really not ready for that level of commitment yet. I don't think I can take part in your weird vampire baby-making ritual or anything."
"Baby-making...?" Ruby looked at Yang. Yang looked at Ruby.
"Don't babies come from the stork?" Yang asked.
Jaune looked at them, incredulously.
Wait, were these two...? No, no way, right?
There was no way that they grew up so sheltered that they didn't know...
Elsewhere, Summer Rose, current Queen of the Noble Rose Vampire Clan, sneezed.
"You alright there, Dear?"
"I'm fine, Tai." She answered, "I just felt like someone might've been talking about me just now."
Author's Notes:
It probably actually kind of like that. At least, for half-vampires (lol). Ruby's just trying to grow up quick, prove that she's an ADULT.
Unccie Crows in this setting is probably something like a half-werewolf, half-vampire. Summer's old fling lol. Why does he end up turning into a crow? *Shrugs* Somehow, Werewolf + Vampire = Crow or something.
It's magic, I don't gotta explain jack lol.
Also, Yang is actually a half-werewolf, not actually a succubus. So, why is she sucking blood? Family habits, probably. Luckily, her victims don't turn into werewolves, though. They're only left feeling very drained of their vital fluids, and with a strange urge to howl at full moons.
O-ma-ke:
"Succubus? More like a Suck-you-bi -"
"Yang, no!"
Jaune shrugged. "Eh, I didn't think it was that bad."
Yang looked at Jaune. "I feel like we're gonna get along just fine."
Jaune suddenly felt an ominous chill up his spine. The poor boy had no idea just what he was getting himself into.
