Title: Rewrite the Stars

Chapter 28

(Jason is about to leave his apartment when he hears banging at the front door. He rushes to answer it, revealing Carly)

Jason: (weird face) "What are you doing here? And what's with the hard knocking?"

Carly: (smirks) "I have something that you're going to want to hear."

Jason: "Can it wait? I'm about to go pick up Danny from Sam's and go to Monica's."

(Carly smirks again as she spoke to her best friend)

Carly: "Are you sure you're going to want to do that?"

(Jason leans his head back a bit as he faces her in a strange way)

Jason: "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

(Carly shows her phone to Jason, giving him a straight face)

Carly: "I have something for you to listen to. Trust me. You'll want to hear it."

Jason: "What is it?"

Carly: (smiles confidently) "It'll change your life forever."

(Jason looks between the phone and Carly, more confused than ever! What the hell? Jason sighs as Carly has them both go inside and sit on the couch)

Jason: "Alright, what is this thing that's going to change my life forever?"

(Carly wickedly smiles as she lays her phone on her lap and tells him to listen to the recording. After ten seconds of no noise, Jason is about to say something, when Carly speaks)

Carly: "Nothing happens for the first minute. Be patient. Trust me. It'll be worth it, Jayse."

(Jason sighs and waves his hand, as if saying 'okay' in response. Before long, there's talking on the recorder)

Josslyn's Recorder:

Sam: "What do you want?"

Franco: "Why were you talking to Brad Cooper at General Hospital? Being he does paternity tests, among other things. I also noticed you giving him something."

Sam: (shakes her head) "You're being paranoid."

Franco: (serious tone) "Quit stalling."

Sam: "It is none of your damn business."

Franco: "Did it have anything to do with Danny?"

Sam: (wide-eyed) "No! Danny is Jason's son!" (points at Franco) "You stay the hell away from Danny!"

Franco: "'You answered that awfully quickly, doth protest too much?"

Sam: (haughtily) "Danny is Jason's son! And if he wasn't, it wouldn't be any of your business!"

(Sam mutters to herself but loud enough for the recording to pick it up)

Sam: "No one can ever know that Danny isn't Jason's son."

Franco: (weird face) "Okay, whatever." (warns her) "NO ONE can know that Aiden is really Jason's and not Lucky Spencer's." (points at Sam) "Got it?"

Sam: (shrugs) "Does it even matter anymore because Jason and I aren't together?"

(Franco grows wide-eyed with his eyes and his mouth slightly open before speaking)

Franco: "You and Jason may not be together anymore, but Elizabeth and I still are."

Sam: (raises her eyebrows) "Not for long if you can't get off your high horse when it comes to Jason's feelings for Lizzie."

Franco: (scoffs) "I know Elizabeth loves Jason, even though she hasn't admitted it yet."

(Sam points at Franco and warns him)

Sam: "If you don't get over your hatred for Jason, you will lose Lizzie forever. Is that what you want? Because I don't think you do."

Franco: (sighs deeply) "I know my attitude is already affecting the boys. I know if Jason and Elizabeth ever found out about Aiden and they also found out we knew? Ho, ho, ho, all hell would break loose."

Sam: "Jason and Lizzie would get back together in a heartbeat."

Franco: "We would lose them forever."

Sam: (chuckles) "Then again, it is Port Charles. I'm sure the truth would come out sooner or later about how Aiden is Jason's and not Lucky's."

Franco: "Let's hope that never happens."

End of Conversation

(Jason is shocked at what Sam and Franco said! Jason's eyes are widened towards Carly and she smiles and nods at her best friend. Now that the recording is done playing, Jason speaks, but is clearly still shaken)

Jason: (stutters) "H-How…" (clears his throat) "How did you get this recording?"

Carly: "Josslyn accidentally recorded it when she and Cameron were in the park getting a hotdog. She didn't know her phone was on the record button. Josslyn gave the recording to me as she didn't know what to do with it."

(Jason nods in response before asking his next question)

Jason: "Does anyone else know about the recording?"

Carly: (shakes her head) "No. It's up to you what you want to do with it. If it were up to me, though?" (scoffs) "I'd kick Sam's lying ass to the curb." (puzzled) "One thing I don't get. If you're not the father of Danny, who is? I have a guess, but I could be wrong."

(Jason looks straight ahead and breathes deeply as he couldn't believe Sam would do this. What the fuck was he thinking? Of course, she would! This was Sam the slut he was talking about! Just when he couldn't picture her getting worse, bam, this happens! Jason has had enough of her lies! NO MORE! He was only tolerating her because of Danny. But, if Danny's not even his kid? He had no reason to communicate with her at all)

(Jason nods as he spoke to Carly, not meeting her face)

Jason: (serious tone) "I'll find out who the father is. I have my suspicions, too, on who it is. But, I want clarification."

(Carly scoffs loudly, slapping her hands on her lap, moves forward a bit on the couch)

Carly: "I can't believe Sam kept this a secret all this time! Not only is Danny not your biological child, but Aiden IS your son with Elizabeth!"

(Carly gets rid of the hair that was in her face before facing Jason again)

Carly: "I wasn't aware that you and Elizabeth slept together around the time that Aiden was conceived."

Jason: (sighs deeply) "Elizabeth and Lucky slept together once, but Elizabeth and Nikolas had an affair. They were both not proud of the affair because of what it did to her relationship with Lucky. Lucky ended up ending the relationship. Elizabeth needed a friend to vent to. At the time, Sam and I had a major fallout that night and I needed to clear the air, too. We were just two friends who needed to be alone. So, we met up at Jake's. After playing a game of pool, we went upstairs so we could be alone. So, no one would interrupt us. After a long night of talking, passion built up between us as it always does because of our long history." (chuckles) "We ended up making love. Even though it wasn't planned, we didn't regret what happened between us. We did use protection. When there was a DNA test done on Aiden with both Nikolas and Lucky as possible fathers, Lucky ended up being the father. I didn't question if I was possibly the father because Lucky was proven to be."

Carly: "Are you going to get a DNA test done on Aiden?"

Jason: (nods) "Yes. And I'll be showing the recording to Elizabeth, too, so she can listen to it."

Carly: (raises her eyebrows) "How does it feel knowing what happened between Sam and Franco?"

Jason: (scoffs) "I shouldn't be surprised, Carly, at what the bitch does anymore! I will confront her; I promise you that."

(Jason puts the recording on his phone and smiles gratefully at Carly)

Jason: "Thank you for all your help. I appreciate it more than you know."

(As they embrace, Carly speaks)

Carly: "Anything for my best friend."

(After they break apart, Carly leaves. Jason heads over to Sam's apartment)

***Scott's Penthouse***

Franco: "I wanted to thank you, dad, for letting me stay here."

Scott: "It's no problem, son. As long as you need a place to stay, my home is your home."

(Scott pats his son on the shoulder)

Scott: "If you don't mind me asking, what happened with Elizabeth?"

Franco: (shrugs) "We tried to make it work. We do love each other. But sadly, I don't think we're in love with each other anymore." (sighs in defeat) "Between my job at the hospital being on the downlow, my hatred for Jason Morgan, and I don't feel close to Cameron, Jake, and Aiden anymore…" (scoffs) "…on top of that, I bet my life that Elizabeth is in love with the mob enforcer again."

(Franco raises his hands to his sides and shakes his head as if admitting he's lost)

Franco: "I can't compete with that, dad. I can't compete with their history or the passion I KNOW they've always felt for each other. They may have been with other people over the years, but when the situation calls for it? They're a team."

Scott: (nods) "I know. Some couples have that passion, that history. Jason and Elizabeth have history and that passion, unfortunately. I want to disagree with you, son, but you're right. When it comes to Jason Morgan, I don't think you had a chance with Elizabeth."

Franco: (nods) "I know that now."

Scott: "At least, you ended the relationship on a good note. You know, friendly note."

Franco: "I'm grateful for that."

***Elizabeth's House***

Liz: "Are you boys ready for grandma Monica's? Are you packed?"

Cameron: "Yep! I'm excited!"

Jake: "I'm going to show Danny a few basketball tricks…if he's coming to grandma's too."

Liz: "I'm sure he will be there. Jason's bringing him."

Aiden: (smiles) "Grandma said Cook even offered to bake brownies with me in the kitchen! I was shocked!"

Liz: (laughs) "Me, too! Because, according to Monica, Cook doesn't let anyone into the kitchen. You must be one special little boy! Be very grateful, my man!"

(Elizabeth and Aiden high five each other)

Liz: "Question for you three. Would you mind if I went with you to grandma Monica's for the night, too?"

(All three men agree their mother is more than welcome to come with them and stay the night)

Aiden: "You're so much fun, mom."

(Cameron walks up to his mother and embraces her)

Cameron: "I love you, mom. You don't even have to ask if you can come with us. You are more than welcome to anytime."

(Elizabeth smiles in response before kissing her son's forehead. She tells him she loves him, too. She gives all her boys kisses on the forehead and says 'I love you'. She quickly packs a bag before they head out of the house. They were all eager for what the night had to offer)

(There's a knock at Sam's front door. Sam goes to answer it, revealing Jason. Sam rolls her eyes in dismay)

Sam: "I know you're here to get Danny."

(Jason just stares at her with a serious face as he walks in and then turns around once he's near the couch. Sam shuts the door behind her and just as she's about to yell for Danny to come down, Jason speaks)

Jason: (deep tone) "I know what you did."

(Sam faces him with an unusual face as she puts her hands in her back pockets)

Sam: (chuckles nervously) "What are you talking about?"

(Jason walks slowly to Sam before stopping with a deadpanned face)

Jason: "I know I'm not Danny's father."
