Title: Rewrite the Stars
Chapter 29
(Sam was utterly stunned at Jason's revelation! How the hell did he find out?! She chuckles nervously before speaking)
Sam: "Of course you're Danny's father."
(Jason shakes his head and stares at her point blank)
Jason: "Don't lie."
Sam: (squints her eyes) "Of course I'm not. Why would I? Who else would Danny belong to?" (folds her arms) "Maybe you're just mad because I've been resistant on letting you take Danny to Monica's."
Jason: "I want to know who the hell you slept with besides me around the time Danny was conceived."
(Sam points at him and raises her voice a bit)
Sam: "You are Danny's father! How many times do I have to say it?"
Jason: (warning tone) "I'm giving you ONE last time, to tell me the truth. I know that I'm NOT Danny's father. Who is?"
(Sam scoffs loudly and walks in a circle with her hands in the air)
Sam: (shouts) "AH! YOU!" (to Jason) "YOU ARE DANNY'S FATHER!"
(Jason stares at her as he takes out his phone from his pants pocket. He presses play. Sam is horrified to hear the recording! Her hands go to her mouth and she looks briefly at Jason's phone before facing her ex again)
Sam: (yells) "HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET THAT?! NO ONE WAS AROUND IN THE PARK!"
(Jason puts his phone back in his pocket and looks disgusted at his ex)
Jason: (yells) "IT DOESN'T CONCERN YOU! FOR ONCE IN YOUR FUCKING, MISERABLE LIFE, TELL THE DAMN TRUTH!"
(Sam can't take it anymore! She had it with Jason and his holier than thou attitude! She continued shouting as she gestures)
Sam: "FINE! YOU WANT THE FUCKING TRUTH, YOU SON OF A BITCH?! YOU ARE NOT DANNY'S FATHER! THERE! ARE YOU HAPPY?!"
(Jason sighs deeply to regain composure, sliding his hands through his hair before facing Sam again)
Jason: "Who is Danny's biological father? Do I know him?"
(Sam chuckles sarcastically as she hugs herself before pointing at Jason)
Sam: (narrows her eyes) "Wouldn't you like to know, you asshole? You'll NEVER find out."
Jason: "You've lost. Deal with it."
(Sam goes up to Jason until they're mere inches apart, looking at him directly in the eyes)
Sam: "Fuck you, Morgan."
(All of a sudden, Danny comes down the stairs, looking at both of his parents)
Danny: (concerned) "What is going on? I can hear you all the way from my room upstairs?"
Jason: (softly sighs) "Me and your mother are having a disagreement."
(As Danny looks between his parents, he speaks)
Danny: "No, I know something more is going on. I heard someone say that you're not my real dad and I also heard my name mentioned during the fight."
(Danny faces his mom, who turns away before facing Jason in anger)
Sam: (sarcastically) "Thanks, Jason, for letting everything come out."
(Jason looks at her incredulously before speaking)
Jason: "Don't point the finger at me when you know that you're at fault, Sam. This is on you and you alone."
(Danny raises his hands to his sides in helplessness)
Danny: "Will someone please tell me what's going on?"
(Jason and Sam look at each other. Sam shakes her head, as if telling Jason to keep his mouth shut)
Jason: (to Sam) "I won't lie to him."
(Sam throws her hands up in the air, as she briefly looks at the ceiling. Jason gently brings Danny to the couch so they can get comfortable)
Jason: "Yes, your name was mentioned during the disagreement between your mother and I."
(Danny was almost afraid to ask his next question. But, he knew it needed to be asked)
Danny: "Is it true that you're not my dad?"
(Jason faces Sam, who was sitting on the chair next to the couch, before looking back at Danny)
Jason: (shakes his head) "No, you are not my biological son. But, I still love you like my son."
(Danny starts to cry as he faces Sam. He begs her to tell him the truth. She sighs deeply as she knows that she can no longer lie. She makes sure her son is facing her. She looks down slightly before eyeing Danny)
Sam: "No, Jason is not your biological father. But, he loves you in every way that counts."
(Sam tries to comfort her son, but he angrily brushes her off! He screams at her)
Danny: "HOW COULD YOU HAVE LIED TO ME FOR ALL OF THESE YEARS? YOU'RE MY MOM!"
(Before Sam can say more, Danny rebuffs her)
Danny: "I don't want to listen to anymore! I'm done listening to you!"
(Danny turns to Jason and speaks)
Danny: "Can I go to Monica's? I still want to go." (a bit nervously) "I also want to get away from here. I can't stand to be near…her…right now." (referring to Sam)
Jason: (nods) "You sure can, Danny. Whatever you want, son."
(Jason can tell that Sam wants to talk, but Jason raises the palm of his hand, as if to silence her)
Jason: "Respect his wishes."
(Danny rushes upstairs to pack. Sam points at Jason and speaks in an accusatory tone)
Sam: "This is all your fault."
(Jason sighs as he rolls his eyes, resting his face in the palm of his hands. Afterwards, he looks at his annoying ex)
Jason: "If you want someone to blame, McCall, look in the damn mirror."
(She leans back in the chair, folds her arms, and scoffs in response. Within fifteen minutes, Danny comes down the stairs, ready to go. Jason realizes Scouts not there)
Sam: "She's with Kristina for the night."
(As Danny and Jason walk to the front door, Sam quickly gets up from her chair and announces to Jason)
Sam: "You're not going to get away with this. Let's just be clear on that right now."
Jason: "If you want to play dirty, I will get Alexis involved. It's your choice, Sam."
(Danny and Jason head out, leaving Sam alone. She shakes her head in protest as she spoke)
Sam: "I have no choice but to let you take Danny to Monica's. But soon, Morgan, you will not be able to take Danny wherever you want to go." (scoffs) "I won't allow it."
***Sonny & Carly's***
(Sonny comes into the living room and sees his wife happily looking at a rare picture of Jason and Elizabeth smiling for the camera. Sonny chuckles as he goes to Carly)
Sonny: "You're in an awfully good mood."
Carly: (laughs) "You have no idea!"
Sonny: (shrugs) "What's got you in such a good mood, if you don't mind me asking? Who does it concern?"
(Carly puts the picture back in the corner of the shelf and faces her husband)
Carly: "Jason and Elizabeth may finally get their happily ever after."
Sonny: (curiously) "How do you know? What do you mean?"
Carly: "Josslyn overheard something and Jason found out. It'll affect his life forever. I don't want to say more out of respect for Jason. Trust me, Jason will tell you when he's ready."
(Sonny can't help but wonder what his news is and how it'll affect his best friend and Elizabeth)
Sonny: "What makes you so sure it'll bring Jason and Elizabeth back together again in the end?"
Carly: "It won't be right away, but give it time." (chuckles) "Not only did Jason receive the shock of his life, but so will Elizabeth."
***Monica's Place***
(Elizabeth and the boys arrive. Monica greets them all with hugs and asks if they're all ready for a fun night. They all say yes)
Liz: "I wanted to thank you, again, for inviting me over for the night."
(Monica rests her hands on Elizabeth's arms and graciously speaks)
Monica: "The boys and I want you here. Please know that, honey."
(Elizabeth smiles and they embrace. After breaking free, Monica faces Aiden and smirks)
Monica: "Cook is waiting for you, dear, in the kitchen."
(Aiden's face lights up and he goes rushing into the kitchen. Elizabeth and Monica laugh at how excited Aiden is)
Jake: "Is Danny here yet?"
Monica: "Jason should be bringing Danny here shortly."
(Monica personally couldn't wait as a lot needed to be discussed)
