Chapter 2: Mr. A-List
(Earthrealm Amazon Jungle)
Within the Amazon Jungle, a lone man wanders through the dense jungle in search of riches beyond comprehension. He hacks his way through the dense leaves and pushes past a few that were in his face as he reveals himself to be none other than Johnny Cage himself. His companion, Adam, rushes up behind him as he looks around. "We're off the map. We should go back, re-check the route." He told him.
But Johnny looked through the jungle and looked to his right as he gestured in one direction. "It's this way." He said as he followed a trail, hacking through more of the dense brush that was in his way. While Adam was pushing past a few vines as Johnny led the way and looked ahead of him, seeing a glorious sight.
Adam looked ahead and saw a temple wall that had a skull face on it, staring in awe of its architecture. "The temple!" He said as he and Johnny advanced towards it.
But they noticed something ahead of them, it appeared to be a person. But his face was shrouded in darkness as Johnny pulled out his flashlight and aimed it close to the person's face, switching it on as the light revealed him to be a dead corpse as bugs came crawling out of his mouth which shocked Adam as Johnny closed his eyes. He looked at the man as he recognized him for who he was. "Goddammit, Alessia." He said as he looked towards the door, seeing several holes that indicated that it was boobytrapped. He approached it and carefully touched it. "The darts came from here." He said as he reached back and pulled out his notebook.
Adam saw him flip through some of the pages as he looked towards him. "Can you open it?" He asked him.
"Without killing us?" Johnny asked as he looked towards him, smirking as he let out a small chuckle. "Let's hope so." He commented as he looked at the door, grimacing what would happen if he did set off the traps. A moment later after finding the right switch, the door opened as it showed Johnny and Adam unharmed. They lit up their flashlights and walked into the temple as they looked around, following a corridor as Johnny noticed something ahead of them. "Turn 'em off." He told him as he switched his flashlight off as Adam did so as well. "Yeah, we're definitely getting warmer." He commented as he saw flames lighting the temple interior.
Adam looked at the flames as he followed Johnny. "How are these still burning?" He asked him.
"Oil bubbles up from the ground. The chamber channels it somehow." Johnny explained as he looked ahead, walking towards a door that led into a larger chamber within the temple. They looked carefully through the interior as they climbed down from the ledge they were on and proceeded into the chamber. What awed them next, was enough to make them millionaires. They looked upon a single figure that sat upon a throne in the center of the room, holding a shield in his hands.
Adam looked at it in awe as he looked at him. "Katara Vala. And his shield!" He exclaimed as was about to go across, but Johnny quickly stopped him as Adam looked at him surprised. "What?" He asked him, Johnny gestured to him to look at the floor below them as Adam noticed a silvery looking liquid between the rocks. "So, there's metal in the floor." He said as he was unfazed by it, not knowing what it really was.
"That's not just any metal. It's liquid mercury." Johnny stated the facts to him.
Adam was soon shocked to hear of this revelation as he looked at the mercury. "Shit. That stuff's toxic." He said in shock.
"Fatal." Johnny said as he turned to him. "Only step where I step." He told him as he proceeded onto the rocks that were above the mercury. Adam followed him to keep up with him, he was about to make it across by going off the path, only to get stopped by Johnny as he pulled him back. "What did I say?" He asked him as he stepped back only to accidentally step on a rock that was the trigger for a boobytrap. They looked down hearing gears grinding as the mercury started rising, it soon started oozing out of the spouts as Johnny and Adam ran as fast as they could to get to higher ground.
Johnny made it across safely, while Adam was struggling as he cried out and leapt towards Johnny and made it to safety as he was caught by him. He was panting from the adrenalin as he looked towards Johnny. "I'm sorry,I–"
"Not now." Johnny interrupted him as he looked at the river of mercury, noticing a reflection of a stone column and looked towards it as an idea came to his head. "Get out the explosives." He ordered.
Adam looked at the column as he quickly realized what he was thinking. "That's our bridge?" He asked him.
"Do this right, it'll fall across." Johnny told him as Adam pulled off his backpack and set it down as he opened it and started pulling out the explosive charges.
But before they could be set up, a hand reaches out from the mercury, earning Johnny's attention as well as Adam's as they saw two vampiric looking females emerge from the mercury. Their wings flapped as they hissed angrily, which made Adam panic when he saw them. "The Kalima? They're real?!" He asked as he saw them flying towards them.
Johnny saw them coming as he touched Adam's shoulder. "Keep working. I'll take care of the she-beasts." He told him as he walked towards them.
The Kalima flapped their wings as they touched down to the ground. "You disturb Katara Vala's slumber. For your sin, you die!" She declared as she hissed and charged towards him, Johnny saw her and her twin coming at him. He avoided their attacks as they tried to land fatal blows against him, he used a shadow boxing technique to back up and avoid their attacks as he blocked their claw strikes and used his right leg to kick them in their sides to push them back. One of the Kalima snarled as she flapped her wings and leapt high above Johnny as she went to claw strike him.
Johnny backed up from her attacks as he knocked his elbow against her arm as he landed a few punches against her face as he threw a Superman punch, landing it across her face as he sent her falling back. Her twin snarled as she flew towards him and clawed at him and tried to aim for his jugular, Johnny quickly ducked from under her strike as he grabbed hold of her arm and threw her over and slammed her on the ground. He turned around and saw her twin coming back at him, she thrust a high kick at him as she landed it against his face, making him grunt as he backed away. She clawed at him to put some lasting damage on him, but he managed to block her attacks and grab her wrist as he held her back and looked towards Adam. "Adam, how much longer?" He asked him.
"Just give me a few more minutes to set the charges!" Adam called out as Johnny turned to the Kalima as she tried to bite him, he shoved her away and performed a shadow kick against her chest, knocking her down towards the mercury as she fell inside it. Her twin snarled and charged at him from behind, she wrapped her arms around him to restrain him. He struggled as he tried to break free of her grip, but he soon saw her twin re-emerge from the mercury, flapping her wings as she snarled and charged towards him to pierce her claws into his chest. He quickly raised his legs and kicked her away as he knocked the back of his head against the other Kalima's face and broke free of her grip as he landed a few punches against her and slammed a hard uppercut, knocking her down as she fell unconscious.
Her twin meanwhile was hissing furiously as she leapt at him, tackling him down to the ground as she went to claw his eyes out. He blocked her attacks to survive against her, he caught wrist and reached up grabbing her head as he slammed it on the ground. She was dazed by the attack as Johnny managed to kick her away, she slid across the ground and spread her wings, hissing at him for his defiance. Having enough of her, Johnny charged and leapt into the air, landing a hard kick against her face as she fell to the ground. He touched down to the ground and looked at the two unconscious creatures as he stood over them. "Got no time to die, crazy lady." He told her as he turned towards Adam and rushed over to him.
Adam set the last charge and saw him approach. "You okay?" He asked him.
"Yes, we ready?" He asked him as Adam nodded his head as the two backed away to a safe distance, the charges beeped loudly and started beeping faster till the charges detonated. This caused the stone column to fall over in the very direction they needed to go in order to reach Katara Vala's resting place. "Physics, for the win." He said as he and Adam fist bumped each other. "Let's go." He told him as they rushed over and crossed their makeshift bridge, they walked across as they reached Katara Vala himself.
Adam rubbed his hands as he examined the carcass and looked towards the shield, he reached to it and dusted it off. Its condition was by far from rusty, it was in perfect condition. "This'll be worth millions." Adam commented.
"It belongs in a museum." Johnny reminded him as he carefully removed the shield from Katara Vala's grasp, Adam meanwhile was looking at the corpse, noticing that though it was mummified, it looked almost alive like the Kalima. But to his shock, Katara Vala sprang to life and snarled at him, scaring the daylights out of him as Adam screamed and fell into the liquid mercury. He tried to swim out as he was screaming painfully, but the liquid mercury melted his flesh and bones till there was nothing left. Johnny rushed over and saw it. "Adam!" He cried out as he heard Katara Vala behind him, he turned around seeing him swinging a morningstar at him.
Johnny quickly avoided it as he tried to run with the shield, but Katara Vala was on his heels as Johnny turned to him, using the shield to defend himself as Katara Vala swung the morningstar and smacked the shield out of his hands as the blow knocked Johnny down to the ground. He groaned as he sat up and saw Katara Vala leap down and look at what was left of his morningstar as it was broken, he tossed it away and walked towards Johnny. "You will not have it." He warned him.
Johnny glared as he got up from the ground and dusted himself off. "You don't need it, you're dead. Speaking of which, you just killed my best friend. And I'm not one to forgive and forget." He told him as he stood in his fighting stance, Katara Vara did the same as Johnny went to punch him, but the walking dead warrior leapt over and landed behind him. He kicked Johnny in the back of the leg as he landed a few good punches and smacked him away, he fell against the ground and shook his head as he saw him about to stomp him while he was down.
He quickly kicked him against his knee, forcing him to kneel down as he got himself back up and kneed him in his noseless face. Katara Vala let out a painful grunt as he backed up, while Johnny let out a barrage of punches as he kicked him in his side and threw a high kick, catching him behind his neck and pulling him down to the ground. The undead warrior slammed against the ground as he shook his head, he got back up and snarled as he went to strike him again. Johnny quickly spread his legs out, pulling the splits as he narrowly avoided his attack while grabbing his wrist and throwing him over.
He saw Katara Vala crash against some pottery as he rolled against the ground, he groaned from it as he turned to Johnny with a glare. He took the pieces and threw them at him, Johnny quickly ran from the sharp shards as they tried to make contact with him. He lunged forward and somersaulted across the floor getting behind some rocks as the shards shattered against it. Katara Vala grabbed a nearby axe and walked towards where he was hiding, Johnny looked around the area and saw a rock and picked it up. He juggled it in his hand a bit and looked out, Katara Vala let out a snarl as he raised the axe into the air. Johnny jumped out and threw the rock towards his hands as it hit his fingers, causing him to lose his grip around the axe as Johnny charged towards him.
He landed a few good punches against the undead warrior, landing them against his face, chest, and stomach as he spread his legs, lowering himself down as he landed a hard punch against his dick. This made Katara Vala squeal in sheer pain as he fell down to the ground, while Johnny pushed himself back up. But given he is basically undead, the pain faded away fast as got back up as Johnny watched in disbelief. "Ohh come on." He complained.
He saw Katara Vala strike at him that caused him to avoid his attacks as the undead warrior managed to knock his hat off, he exhaled as he touched his head finding his still had a whole head of hair on him as he blocked his next few incoming punches and avoided a few close kicks from the undead warrior. But Katara Vara managed to land a few punches against him as he kneed him in his chest and slammed his forehead against his, Johnny fell down to the ground, groaning from the attack and got pinned by his foot as he struggled. "Prepare to join your comrade!" He told him as he went to stomp his head in.
He saw it as he caught his foot before it could reach his face, he pushed back trying to keep him from crushing his skull. He growled angrily and shoved him away as Katara Vala stumbled as Johnny leapt to his feet and punched him furiously, he landed a few more punches and went for a good uppercut. Katara Vala avoided it as he hit Johnny across the face, only to receive one in return as Johnny grabbed hold of a dried up piece of wood and slammed it across his head as it broke in half. He landed a few more punches and raised his fist about to hit him again, but Katara Vala fell down and crashed against the ground as Johnny lowered his fist. "Now where's that shield?" He asked and rushed to where the shield was laying.
Katara Vala struggled to get up as he groaned from the pain he was feeling. "I… am not yet defeated." He declared as he got up.
Johnny reached the shield and turned towards him. "Yes, you are." He told him as he took the shield and pulled a Captain America spin move and threw the shield at Katara Vala, the shield cut straight through his neck as Katara Vala let out a painful grunt and collapsed as the shield ricocheted off the walls and bounced back to Johnny as he caught it and saw Katara Vala's head roll on the ground. "Time to go home." He declared.
Till out of nowhere. "Cut! Print it!" Said a director as Johnny cheered.
"I knew it! WOO! I felt that one." He cheered and pointed to the director. "You felt it too, right?" He asked him as a man with a slate stepped in holding it upside down in front of Johnny.
"Temple of Katara Vala… Take 39… Tail slate." He clicked the slate, finishing the film as it was revealed that the temple around them was really a movie set.
The director running the film smiled as he took off his headphones. "That's a wrap." He said as the bell rang and everyone cheered in the background.
Johnny smiled and walked towards him. "Steven. This was fantastic, thank you." He said as he shook his hand, chuckling as he still held the prop shield. "Just like the old days. And these props? Jimbo killed it." He complimented Jimbo's work as he handed the shield out to Steven.
He took it as he chuckled. "You did too, Johnny." He told him as the actors for Katara Vala and the Kalima walked behind him.
Johnny nodded his head but remembered something. "Hey, about my pitch. Y'know, the karate zombie thing? I'm thinking four films. Maybe a streaming series?" He wondered.
"Johnny, I don't–"
"You're right. Not here." Johnny interrupted him before he could protest. "I'll swing by your office after I change." He told him.
But Steven grimaced as he turned towards Johnny. "I can't. Have to meet with the editors." He told him as he walked away. "Marsha will call you." He told him as he approached the actor who played Katara Vala.
Johnny nodded and turned around raising a fist. "Great!" He exclaimed feeling mildly enthusiastic as he walked away to get changed. "Have your assistant call me." He muttered.
"Johnny Cage?" Asked an unfamiliar voice as Johnny turned to see a man, Japanese, sporting a long ponytail and wearing an expensive business suit. "I hope I'm not interrupting, you seemed to be busy with the director." He told him.
"No, no, we're done with the shoot. Who are you?" He asked him.
"My name is Shun Kazami, I just arrived here from Japan with a colleague who wishes to discuss something with you. In regards to one of the items you purchased." He informed him.
"Ahhh, okay. Well, tell him that I will be a little busy, because I need to change out of my wardrobe, and meet with the misses." Johnny informed him and saw his wife approaching. "And speaking of." He said as he walked past Shun.
She smiled and walked towards him. "That was great, hon." She complimented his work.
"Wasn't it though?" He asked her as he smirked and approached her. "We need to celebrate. I'm thinking "private party"?" He suggested, only to see Cris stop him.
"Johnny, we need to talk." She told him as she walked away, it was literally a bad sign.
Shun watched as Johnny followed after her, he pulled out his phone and contacted his colleague as he heard the dial tone. "Did you speak with him?" Asked the colleague.
"I did, but I'm afraid he's having a little trouble with the misses. They're heading home, I'll meet with you at his home and text you the address." Shun told him as he hung up, looking towards where Johnny and Cris left the room and walked after them without them noticing.
(Cage Mansion, Malibu California)
When Johnny and Cris got back home, things were not looking good for him. Because Cris at this point, she was not happy with his life choices. "You're not the martial arts mega-star you once were, honey. You're lucky Steven owed you a favor." She reminded him.
"I'm telling you, Cris, we're fine." Johnny told her after having a drink.
"Can you join me in the fact-based universe? Just once? We're broke. We have to cut back!" She told him.
"Cut back?" Johnny scoffed when he heard it. "On what?" He asked her as he walked to the counter.
"Step one is selling this place." She gestures to the mansion.
Johnny knew that it was greed that was coming out of her mouth as he approached the counter. "I need a refill." He said as he opened a bottle of whiskey and poured his drink.
Cris meanwhile wasn't having any of it. "Johnny, we can't keep this up. You spent ten thousand on that sculpture." She gestures to a unique sculpture that almost looks like a purple flame. "Thirty thousand on that drone!" She reminded him of the military combat drone he gained from the army, which she thought was useless. "And this damned sword." She pointed it out as it hung over the fireplace. "Three million dollars!" She shouted.
"Hey! Sento is history. That sword comes from a–"
"UGH! That's not the point, Johnny!" Cris interrupted him as she walked from him.
"Cris, honey." He followed after her. "The parts, the money. They're coming. Steven's movie is just the beginning." He told her as he placed his hands over her shoulders. "That's why I can't cut back. To be a success, I have to project it. If I don't… "Johnny Cage" is done." He told her.
That was the last straw with her as she gripped the couch cushions and turned around to face him. "I didn't marry "Johnny Cage"!" She exclaimed as she removed his hands from her. "I married John Carlton. And I'd give anything to have him back." She told him as she grabbed her bag and stormed out of the house.
"Cris? C'mon, Cris! Where are you going?!" He asked her, only to see her walk out and slam the door behind her. He held his head when he heard it and groaned. "Fuck!" He exclaimed and walked to the counter after taking a sip from his drink. "How you like that, Mr. A-List?" He asked himself as he poured himself another drink and drank it, unaware someone was standing behind him.
"Well…" Said a familiar voice as Johnny turned around and saw Shun standing before him. "That was probably the worst way to go through a break up." He told her as he turned to face him.
"Shun, how did you…?" He was about to ask.
"Not important… What is important is the meeting with my colleague." He reminded him.
Johnny let out a sigh as he set his glass down and walked over to him. "Look, Shun… this is a really bad time, I'm in a real mess right now. Think it's possible we could reschedule?" He asked him.
But to his disappointment, Shun shook his head. "Sorry Johnny, but I'm afraid it's something that cannot wait." He told him.
This confused Johnny, but he soon heard the front door close which made him exhale. "Thank god. Cris, honey, I–" He turned around only to see a man in a suit similar to Shun's standing before him, and he was holding a razor sharp katana in his hand. "Where's my wife?! What did you–"
"Your wife left. She's fine. You will be too, if you cooperate." The Stranger told him and looked towards Shun. "Thank you for arranging this, Shun." He told him.
"I'm only doing this to help you, don't think I'm doing this out of the kindness of my heart, Kenshi." Shun told him.
Johnny meanwhile was looking between them as he was confused, but slowly started to piece it together. "He's your colleague?" He asked Shun as he turned to Kenshi. "What do you want?" He asked him.
Kenshi pointed the blade he currently had towards the one over the fireplace. "Sento." He told him.
"You guys some kind of hired guns? Or do you know Sento's history?" Johnny asked them.
"I know it. It's my family blade." Kenshi informed him.
But Johnny refused to believe his words. "No. No way you're Taira clan. They've been dead for centuries." He told him.
"Not dead. Hiding." Shun corrected the history lesson.
"Shun's correct. With Sento in my hands, I'll lead us out of the shadows." Kenshi told them.
"That's a great plan, stranger." Johnny commented as he and Kenshi circled each other. "Except for one thing. Sento's mine. And I won't give it up without a fight." He told him as he took on his fighting position as Kenshi gripped his katana.
Shun let out a sigh when he heard it as he reached into his right pocket. "I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. But you're not giving us much of a choice Johnny." He told him as he whipped out a kunai and threw it towards him. Johnny saw it coming and dodged it, only to see Shun lunge towards him and kick him hard in the face, sending him flying as he hit the floor and slid across it. Shun landed on the ground and exhaled as he adjusted his suit. "I suggest you reconsider your decision. You need to understand that you are out of your league at this point." He told him.
Johnny let out a painful groan as he rubbed his face, he got back up and looked at him and Kenshi. "That was a dirty move, but don't think you've got me cornered like a wolf." He warned them as he got back up and charged at them, going for a punch, Shun avoided his attacks by using his ninja agility to move faster than him. He ducked under from an overhead strike and pushed up, flipping backwards as he landed two kicks against his face as Johnny let out a painful grunt as he stumbled back. Kenshi swung his sword behind him, causing Johnny to panic and avoid his sword strike as he rolled across the floor and grabbed a glass and threw it at him. Kenshi took his sword and sliced the glass clean through as the two halves landed on the ground without shattering. "Whoa, that was neat." He commented.
"Flattery won't get you anywhere." Kenshi told him as he charged at him and swung his katana at him, Johnny avoided his blade as he backed away and grabbed a kitchen knife and blocked his attacks. Kenshi struck at his knife and threw a high kick, knocking the kitchen knife out of his hands as Johnny gasped and avoided another sword strike. He grabbed two baguettes and smacked them against his face, hitting him a few times as he went for a head strike. But the baguettes got sliced as Kenshi chopped them into small slices. This left Johnny stunned as he looked at Kenshi, who cleaned his blade as he gave him a look. "Really…? Baguettes?" He asked him.
"Hey, they were the closest thing I could use!" Johnny exclaimed as he tossed the remaining two pieces at him and avoided his sword, Shun appeared above him and dove towards him in an attempt to tackle him. Johnny quickly dodged it as Shun rolled across the floor and thrust a kick towards him as the actor blocked it along with a few punches Shun threw towards him, he pulled out a kunai and slashed at him as he managed to slash through the arm of his shirt. Johnny let out a panicked yelp as he backed away and looked at where he was cut, seeing his shirt was the only thing that was ruined. "Hey! This shirt was custom!" He yelled, only to see Shun throw the kunai towards him as he screamed and grabbed a cutting board.
He held it in front of him as the kunai pierced half way through it as the sharp tip almost reached Johnny's nose, he panicked knowing this was no joke as he threw the cutting board at Shun. He ducked under it as he slid across the floor and spun around, pulling out another kunai as he went to stab him. Johnny quickly deflected his attacks as he pulled his head back, avoiding a kick from the ninja as he took the chance to land a kick to his knee, his side and one good knee to his face as Shun let out a grunt and rolled across the ground. Kenshi charged at Johnny from behind and tackled him across the kitchen counter as several glasses crashed to the floor. He and Johnny rolled across the floor as Kenshi tried punching him, Johnny shielded himself from the punches and quickly landed a punch against Kenshi's face, He quickly kicked him off and ran for the living room.
Shun ran after him and flipped over him as he went to punch him, Johnny avoided it as he went to clobber him. Shun grabbed onto his wrist as he twisted his arm around and bent it behind his back, making him cry out as he struggled. "This would have been a lot easier on you if you just handed over the sword." He told him as he felt Johnny struggling, he growled as he thrust a kick back and kicked Shun in the knee as he let out a painful grunt. While Johnny pushed his entire upper body up and slammed the back of his head against his face, causing blood to spurt from his nose.
Shun backed away as Johnny turned towards him and threw a high roundhouse kick and slammed it against his face, knocking him down as Shun hit the floor. "You tried robbing the wrong house. I am the ultimate home security system." He told him as he went to grab him, Shun quickly whipped out a wakizashi and slashed at him with it. The actor dodged it as Shun tried to cut him with it while Kenshi charged at him from behind, Johnny quickly noticed it as he caught Shun's next strike and used his blade to block his katana. He blocked his attacks and kicked Kenshi away as he turned to Shun as he landed a few quick jabs to his body and slammed his elbow to his face, Shun stumbled away as Kenshi slashed at Johnny from behind. He quickly dodged it as Kenshi managed to land a punch against Johnny, landing a kick against his side that would bruise his ribs.
Johnny grunted painfully from the hard kick as he received a hard punch to his face from Kenshi as he retaliated by throwing a high kick against the side of his head, knocking him sideways as Kenshi crashed into the pool. Shun glared at him for it as he took his wakizashi and threw it towards him, Johnny quickly grabbed a lamppost and deflected the blade and swung it at Shun, only to feel the cord tug against his attempt to strike as he looked to see it was caught under the cough. Shun grabbed him by his neck and threw him over as he screamed and crashed against the family couch, he groaned from the impact only to open his eyes and see three kunai blades flying towards him. He moved to his left as they pierced into his couch, he looked at the damage and exhaled as he got up and saw Shun charging towards him and attempted to kick him in the face.
Johnny ducked under the kick as Shun's foot punched through the couch, leaving himself exposed as Johnny threw a punch and landed his signature nut punch move against Shun's groin as he let out a painful grunt from how painful it was. The actor got himself up and grabbed him by his head and slammed his face against his knee, knocking him out as Shun fell to the floor. Meanwhile Kenshi pulled himself out of the pool as he shook the water off of his head and saw Shun knocked out. He looked towards Johnny as he gripped his blade and stood up, ignoring the fact that he was wet as a rat in a sewer, the actor noticed and looked towards him as he groaned in annoyance. "I thought that little dip in the pool would have cooled you off a bit." He told him.
"Not in the slightest, it mostly pissed me off." He informed him as he swung his katana at him, Johnny ducked from it and rolled away from another slice Kenshi made towards him and rushed towards a golf bag and grabbed a putter from it. He pulled it out and blocked Kenshi's katana as he avoided getting cut from it, he blocked his attacks as he swung the putter at him. Kenshi pulled his head back avoiding the putters head and swung his katana at his wrists, Johnny quickly pulled his arms down and avoided his attempt to cut his arms off. He swung the putter and smacked it against the back of his leg as Kenshi painfully grunted, but ignored the pain as he swung his katana in an overhead strike.
Johnny blocked the strike as he forced the sword to go over his head as he felt the blade clip a few hairs. Johnny backed away as he touched his head where the hairs were clipped and saw them in his hand, he shot an annoyed look at Kenshi for it. "Okay, this has gone on long enough. Nobody… messes… with the doo!" He yelled as Kenshi smirked and charged with his sword held high, the actor quickly avoided it as he thrust the putter towards him. He slammed it hard against Kenshi's stomach as he groaned from it and backed away holding his stomach. Johnny meanwhile grabbed a driver from his golf bag and held it down and looked towards Kenshi and looked back at the driver's head. "FOUR!" He yelled as he pulled it back, and swung it towards Kenshi, smacking it against his face as Kenshi flew across the room and slammed against the floor next to Shun. He smirked as he lowered the driver in his hand. "My house, my rules." He said as he held the driver up and looked at it. "Guess I should have taken these out more often." He commented.
Later that night, Kenshi and Shun were both tied up in chairs as they began to stir from being unconscious for a couple of hours. Shun shook his head still feeling the pain to his face when Johnny hit him. "That's something I'll need to fix later." He commented.
"It'll be fine, just a little bit of ice, and it'll bring down the swelling." Johnny told him as he walked up and sat in a chair in front of them and looked towards Kenshi. "So. You have a name or what?" He asked him.
Shun looked towards Kenshi, seeing him take a quick pause as he looked towards Johnny. "Kenshi Takahashi." He introduced himself.
"Ha! I knew you weren't Taira Clan." Johnny said to him with a smug grin.
Shun glared at him as he secretly pulled out a blade from his sleeve and started cutting the ropes. "You know nothing, Cage." He told him.
The actor was calm and relaxed about the whole situation. "Four hundred years ago the Taira Clan were one of Japan's first families. They lost Sento after getting slaughtered at the Siege of Aomori." He informed the young ninja.
"There were survivors." Kenshi informed him as Johnny looked towards him. "They hid themselves by shedding the name Taira for Takahashi. They joined the Bakuto for its protection." He explained.
"The Yakuza's predecessors… from first family to crime family." Johnny stated the facts to the ronin.
"Shun and I will break us free of the Yakuza's corruption. Reclaim our name and position." Kenshi told him, only to look down and remember the last time he saw his clan. "But my clan won't follow me unless I prove that I can lead. That's why I need Sento." He said as he looked at the sword.
Johnny looked at it as well and looked towards Shun. "And how does a Kazami get involved with the Yakuza?" He asked him.
"My family is a clan of ninjas that swore loyalty to the Shogun 600 years ago, we are honorbound. But when I was hired by the Yakuza, they sent me on assassination missions, and took inside jobs. Spying and killing rival gangs. It was bringing shame upon my family name, my grandfather cast me out. If I had any chance of redeeming myself, I had to help Kenshi get Sento, to restore my honor as a Kazami." Shun explained.
Johnny was indeed intrigued by their stories, but the doorbell rang as he looked towards it. "And that's Malibu's finest." He said as he got up and walked towards the door. "Those are great stories. "Bullshit"! But great. You both should seriously consider becoming screenwriters." He told them as he reached the door and opened it up, hoping to see the cops. But to his surprise, it was Liu Kang standing in the door with Sub-Zero and Scorpion, maskless as they looked at him. "What in the actual fu-"
"Good evening, Johnny Cage." Liu Kang greeted him as well as interrupting him. "I am Liu Kang, Protector of Earthrealm." He introduced himself while doing a shaolin hand gesture that made Johnny back away a bit. "May we enter?" He asked him.
Johnny meanwhile, was a little confused as he looked at Scorpion and Sub-Zero behind him, while also looking for the police. "Uhhh… Nothing's being shot here tonight. Are you sure you're at the right place?" He asked him.
"Yes. We come on a matter of grave importance. We must speak to you and your guests." Liu Kang informed him as he literally caught Johnny off guard when he mentioned his two guests in the living room.
"What?" Johnny asked in surprise as he stepped up to him. "How do you know about them?" He asked curiously.
While Liu Kang was giving him a look, to show that he was serious. "Because I am the God of Fire." He told him with a serious tone.
But Johnny, believing this was all an act, didn't buy it. He chuckled as he shook his head. "Cris, you Vixen. Nicely done." He commented and looked at Liu Kang. "Sure. Come right in." He gestures to them to step inside. "Glowing eyes are a nice touch." He said as Sub-Zero walked past him, shooting a death glare at him as Scorpion followed him.
Meanwhile Liu Kang walked towards Kenshi and Shun, seeing that they were still tied up. "Kenshi Takahashi. Shun Kazami. Both tragic figures with a noble cause. Both your actions this evening do neither of you no credit." He told them.
Kenshi was surprised as he looked towards Johnny. "Who are these people?" He asked him.
"You both tell me. They're your scene partners." Johnny told them.
"We never met them in our lives." Shun protested.
"I also know of your struggles, Johnny Cage. I am here to offer you all a path forward." Liu Kang offered.
"Dun, dun, duuuun." Johnny said dramatically as he laughed at the moment. "C'mon guys. Let's call this. Cris was a doll to set this up, but… as pranks go this one's… eh… a bit obvious." He told them.
"This is no prank." Liu Kang protested as he looked towards Scorpion and Sub-Zero. "Bi Han, Kuai Liang. If you please?" He gestures to Kenshi and Shun as Sub-Zero sneered at Johnny and walked towards Kenshi first.
"All right, all right." Johnny laughed a bit as he thought he's being recorded. "I'll play my part in this martial arts LARP. The misses ought to get what she paid for." He said as he got himself ready for this shoot he thinks he's in, he exhaled and cleared his throat. Letting out another exhale. "Okay… Hey you – Wait, wait…" He paused as he got himself into character. "Hey you!" He called out Sub-Zero as he glanced towards the fool of an actor. "Get your damn hands off him." He told him, but Sub-Zero ignored him, resulting in Johnny grabbing him by his arm. "I said get your hands off–"
Before he could finish his line, Sub-Zero slammed his shoulder against him, landed a hard left hook and an uppercut as he backspin kicked him in his chest, knocking him down as he slid into the stand that held the sculpture he bought. It wobbled a bit and fell down onto his body and shattered to pieces, while Scorpion walked up to his brother and looked at him. "Was that necessary, brother?" He asked him.
Sub-Zero looked towards him with a serious look on his face. "To put him in his place." He told him, only to get drop kicked by Shun as he was freed from his bonds. He punched Scorpion and landed three hard kicks to his stomach as he leapt over a slide kick from Sub-Zero and roundhouse kicked him in the face as he backed up towards Johnny.
He kneeled down to him and moved a few pieces of sculpture off his face. "Cage, are you still breathing?" He asked him.
Johnny let out a groan as he sat up. "Never better." He replied only to see the remaining pieces of the sculpture, he looked towards Sub-Zero in disbelief. "That was a Hichuli! One of a kind!" He complained as he got up and dusted the remaining pieces out of his hair. "All right. I don't care if this is a damned prank. You crossed the line!" He yelled as Sub-Zero went to strike him, Shun threw a kunai at his strike as Sub-Zero caught it. But he failed to see Johnny throwing a punch as he landed it across his face two times, kicking him in his shin as he landed the back of his heel against his back and slammed him on the floor.
Scorpion went to help his brother, but Shun pulled out his wakizashi and blocked his kunai with it. "Ignoring me was unwise." He told him as he pushed Scorpion away, he lashed at his legs as Scorpion leapt over it as he swung a high kick at him. Shun ducked from it as he blocked his attacks and kneed him in his side, Scorpion felt it as he let out a grunt and threw a right hook punch at him. The dark ninja avoided his attacks as he blocked some of his punches and elbowed him in the face, landing a few punches as he grabbed him by the side of his head and slammed it on the rail of the pool. He took his arm and threw him over as he slammed him against the floor.
Scorpion got on his knees and shook his head and saw Shun coming at him, throwing his knee towards his face as Scorpion managed to block it and get back to his feet in the process. Blocking each of Shun's strikes as he teleported through fire and appeared behind him, punching him hard in the face as Shun stumbled over but he took his wakizashi and slashed at him. Scorpion used his kunai to block his blade as he threw a backspin kick towards him, Shun backed away from it as it nearly got him in the face. He spun around and slammed a kick against his back as Scorpion let out a grunt from the impact. Shun landed a few punches against the pyromancer as he grabbed him by his gi and threw him across the room as he crashed against the couch and fell to the ground.
Liu Kang was impressed by his skill as he looked towards Shun, he could sense a similar aura that resembled Dan's. But he seemed to possess something different, something that could rival Dan's abilities. Meanwhile, Sub-Zero formed a pair of ice daggers and struck Johnny with them. The actor avoided his attacks as he blocked each strike that Sub-Zero threw at him, he moved to his left to avoid his next strike as he grabbed hold of Sub-Zero's arm and knocked his blade out of his hand as he elbowed him in the face and spread his legs, pulling the splits as he punched Sub-Zero hard in the groin as he screamed in pain from it. Johnny pushed himself up as he landed a couple of hard punches, landed a solid uppercut as he shadow kicked him while he was in mid air.
Sub-Zero fell towards the ground as he let out a grunt when he hit the floor. "How'd you like that, Lil' Boy Blue?" He asked him as Sub-Zero growled angrily and formed a ball of ice and was about to shoot it at him. Shun immediately kicked him in the face before he could launch it as he landed hard kicks to his sides as he flipped over and landed a high kick over his head as Sub-Zero stumbled back. Johnny exhaled when he saw it as he patted him on the back. "I'm actually feeling sorry to have kicked your ass, you're not bad." He complimented his skill.
"Focus Cage, they're not done yet." Shun reminded him as Scorpion appeared next to his brother and threw his kunai at him, Shun quickly pushed Johnny out of the way as the kunai missed them by a few inches as Shun whipped out his wakizashi and sliced it off and slashed a wind blade towards him. Scorpion avoided it as he saw it leave a big cut in the wall, he looked towards Shun with a surprised look on his face. Sub-Zero ignored this revelation as he charged towards him and went to strike, Johnny quickly blocked his attack towards Shun and knocked his head against his, trying to ignore how painful it was as he shook his head. He blocked Sub-Zero's attacks and avoided a few kicks from him while Shun was striking at Scorpion, leaving devastating blows against his face and torso as he unleashed a backspin kick and hit him in his chest.
Scorpion backed away when he felt the hard kick, groaning as he held his chest and looked at Shun. "You are skilled, that much I can see. But you still face a Lin Kuei warrior." He told him as he prepared for the next attack, Shun smirked as he took his wakizashi and slashed at him with it. Scorpion was prepared this time as he blocked his attack and jabbed against his arm, hitting a nerve point as Shun let out a grunt and dropped his blade in his free hand and slashed at his leg. Scorpion avoided it as he landed several jabs against his back, hitting nerve points to make him go numb as Shun groaned painfully from it. Johnny blocked a few attacks from Sub-Zero and caught his arms that each held an icy blade in them, he quickly took notice of Shun's situation as he looked down, seeing a piece of Hichuli by his foot. He used his foot to pick it up and throw it at him as it smashed against Scorpion's head, causing him to let go of Shun as he pulled himself away from the pyromancer and rubbed his arms and back.
He exhaled as he formed ninja signs with his hands to help relieve himself of the pain he was feeling, the pain faded away as he exhaled and turned towards Scorpion. "You may be a skilled Lin Kuei warrior… but I am of the Kazami Ninja Clan. Our skills have always rivaled that of any clan who thought themselves superior." He told him as gusts of wind blew around him, Scorpion's eyes widened when he saw it happening. Shun took his wakizashi and held it out, he focused the wind currents around him and snapped his eyes wide open and slashed gusts of wind at him. Each slash struck against Scorpion as he stumbled back from each strike that landed against him, Shun held his wakizashi behind him as he performed one more slash as he flew towards Scorpion and struck him hard as he slammed against the wall and fell to the floor hard.
He groaned as Liu Kang was watching with intrigue in his eyes as he looked towards Shun, who tapped into power that even he knew nothing about. "Interesting." He whispered to himself as he looked towards Johnny Cage and Sub-Zero who were still at each other's throats.
Sub-Zero struggled as he grappled Johnny and kneed him in each side of his ribcage, Johnny let out a few grunts from each impact that landed against him. Sub-Zero soon threw him over as Johnny fell to the floor, he groaned as Sub-Zero formed an axe made of ice. "If you won't learn your place, then you're going to be put down like a dog!" He went to bring it down, till he heard the front door open and a pair of footsteps were approaching him. He turned around and saw a white haired woman charging towards him, she yelled as she leapt and kicked him hard in the face as he painfully grunted and fell down to the floor.
The woman, tan skin, pinkish white hair tied in a side ponytail, bangs swooping to the side, wearing MMA training gear as she was carrying some insane melons that would make any man turn red. She shot a glare at the cryomancer for his brutality as she held her hands to her hips. "I don't know who you are, bub. But no one hurts Johnny and gets away with it!" She told him.
"Friend of yours?" Shun asked Johnny as he helped him stand up.
"Yeah. That's Julie Makimoto, my sparring partner. I forgot she was on her way here." He admitted, meanwhile Sub-Zero was growling angrily as he shot a glare towards her. He stood up and charged at her in an attempt to strike her. But she moved to her right as she avoided a kick and tapped his shoulder, Sub-Zero went to backhand her only to see her duck under his attack as she landed a harsh uppercut along with a few punches on each side of his face. She yelled as she flipped backwards as she landed a backflip kick against his nose, making it bleed as he yelled out painfully.
Shun and Kenshi, who was still tied up, watched with impressed looks on their faces as she fought against the cryomancer. "Wow… I do not want to be on her bad side right now." Shun commented.
Julie meanwhile turned to Johnny with a scowl as she walked towards him. "Johnny, you better start explaining before I start pummeling you." She warned him.
"Can that wait?" He asked as he moved her as a ball of ice was shot towards them, Sub-Zero was far from finished as he yelled and charged at them. "Show time." He commented said as he took Julie and spun her around like a dancer, she twirled and threw a punch as she backhanded Sub-Zero in the face and threw a high kick and smacked him on top of his head, causing his skull to fracture as Johnny rushed up to him and kneed him in his left cheekbone. Julie grabbed Sub-Zero by his hair and pulled him back as she elbowed him in his back, hearing him scream in agony as she raised him in the air and threw him up. Johnny leapt towards him as he landed several punches against him and shadow kicked him mid air as Sub-Zero fell down and hit the floor.
He groaned as Julie cleaned her hands and adjusted her shirt,feeling her breasts bounce a bit as she placed a hand on her hip. "That's the best you got? We barely even started." She told him as she walked towards him, Sub-Zero got up as he formed a giant sword of ice and swung it at her. Shun threw three kunai blades at it as each tip pierced into a weak point in the sword, causing it to crack and shatter before it could hit Julie. He landed behind him as he kicked him in the back of his hamstring, while Julie suckerpunched him in the face. Johnny slammed an uppercut against him as Shun kicked him in his spine and pushed him towards Julie, she flipped back as she slammed another backflip kick against his jaw, causing it to crack as Sub-Zero let out a painful grunt.
He struggled as he tried to regain his focus, but Johnny walked up to him as he landed hard punches against the cryomancer as he thrust a kick to his abdomen. Thrusting his other leg as it slammed against his chest, causing it to crack as Sub-Zero painfully grunted and backed away. He was panting from the pain he was feeling, till he looked up and saw all three fighters standing before him as all three fighters launched an uppercut simultaneously and slammed each fist against him as they knocked him away from them. He hit the floor and let out a very painful groan as Johnny smirked with a satisfied expression. "And scene." He said with an arm motion, believing it was still a movie playing.
Shun shot an irritated look towards him as he lowered his fists. "Not a film Johnny." He told him.
"Well, besides all that. I hope you're insured because you're paying for my Hichuli." Johnny referred to the cryomancer who was painfully pulling himself off the floor.
"Imbecile! You have no idea with whom you're dealing!" Sub-Zero warned them.
"Oh yeah? Well why don't you come show us?" Julie taunted him.
"Indeed, because you're not on a really good winning streak at this point." Shun told him.
Sub-Zero had enough of their arrogance as he was about to kill them, but Liu Kang decided to step in to end the chaos. "ENOUGH!" He yelled as flames shot throughout his entire body, causing the smoke alarm to go off as everyone in the room was shocked by what they witnessed, even Johnny who was struck with awe.
"Uh… That's no special effect." He commented in disbelief.
"Indeed, Johnny Cage." Liu Kang replied to him and looked towards Scorpion. "Kuai Liang?" He gestures toward Kenshi as Kuai bowed to him and walked towards Kenshi, Bi Han meanwhile was shooting a glare when he saw it as Kuai cut the ropes around Kenshi.
Julie meanwhile turned towards Johnny with a look of disbelief. "You want to take this moment to explain what the fuck shit is going on?" She asked him.
"Even I gotta ask, how did he do that?" Shun asked in regards to the flames.
"Or how you used your little airbender abilities…?" Johnny reminded him as Shun shrugged. "Either way, I'm gonna find out, so… Okay, let's go back to one here. Who are you again?" He asked him.
"Lord Liu Kang. Protector of Earthrealm. God of Fire." He reintroduced himself to the actor.
Shun nodded his head and looked towards him. "Well that last one tracks." He commented.
"But… What's an Earthrealm?" Johnny asked him.
"And why are you here?" Julie asked him as Kenshi got free with the help of Kuai Liang.
"All will be explained, Julie Makimoto. For I anticipated your arrival here, and hoped to see how well you would perform. Thankfully, you did not disappoint." He told her as he looked at the others. "For now, what is important is that all of you have been chosen to join its champions." He informed them.
"Why them?" Johnny asked as he pointed towards Shun, Kenshi, and Julie as he realized something. "Or me for that matter?" He asked him.
"Because I have faith that you will rise to the challenge. And because your service will change the arcs of your lives." Liu Kang informed them as he looked at Shun and Julie. "You are as unique as four other warriors I previously invited to the Wu Shi Academy. I hope that you will accept my invitation." He told them.
Shun pondered over the offer with Julie as they looked towards each other. "Between this and working for the Yakuza?" He asked and looked towards Liu Kang. "If it will restore my honor, I will accept it." He told him.
Liu Kang nodded in understanding as he looked towards Julie. "What about you Miss Makimoto? What do you say?" He asked her.
She pondered it over as she crossed her arms. "Well, I guess my yoga instructor won't mind if I skip class." She prayed as she looked towards Liu Kang. "I hope this will be worth it." She told him as Liu Kang smiled and nodded his head and turned around to the interior of the house. He waved his hands in a circular motion and as fire surrounded them, Johnny watched as he pulled out his phone and opened the camera app and started recording it.
Liu Kang waved his hands in circular motions as he opened a fiery portal before them, Julie's eyes widened in amazement as she stared in awe. "This… is… amazing." She commented as she stared at the portal.
"This portal will lead us to our destination, where you will meet your fellow champions." Liu Kang informed them as he turned to the Lin Kuei warriors. "Bi Han, Kuai Liang, you may return to the Lin Kuei Temple and await further instruction." He told them.
"As you wish, Lord Liu Kang." Kuai replied to him as he bowed, but Bi Han did not do the same as he scowled.
Liu Kang nodded as he looked at his chosen warriors. "Come, let us pass through the portal, where beyond it… lies the beginning of your journey." He told them as Johnny exhaled and put his phone away and walked towards the portal but hesitates.
"This isn't going to burn us, is it?" He asked him.
Julie meanwhile scoffed and walked towards him. "Just get your ass moving Johnny!" She kicked him hard in the rear as he yelped and jumped into the portal.
She followed him in as Shun and Kenshi approached the portal as they stared at it. "No one in the Kazami family will ever believe this." Shun commented.
"Have faith, Shun Kazami… for I promise, this will help you regain your honor as a Kazami Ninja." Liu Kang told him, Shun looked at him and nodded his head and walked into the portal with Kenshi.

Once they stepped through, their eyes widened in awe when they saw the grounds of the Wu Shi Academy. It was beautiful, everywhere they looked, they saw cherry blossom trees, great statues of warriors holding up a stage hanging over a pool of water, and warrior monks training around them. "Now this is unexpected." Kenshi commented.
"This place is amazing, it's so beautiful… and…" Julie looked around and turned to see Dan as he trained with Raiden and Kung Lao. Hearts immediately popped in her eyes as she gasped loudly, her heart skipping a few beats as it was all a flutter. "Helloooo~ handsome!" She dashed towards him. Dan heard it as he turned around, only to get tackled by Julie as he let out a grunt and fell to the ground with her. Raiden and Kung Lao were stunned when they saw it and watched as she snuggled up, pressing her mounds against him. "Where have you been all my life? What's your name?" She asked him.
"Umm, Daniel." He introduced himself to her, feeling nervous as his face was red.
"Ohh Dan, I like that. My name is Julie… tell me Dan, do you believe in love at first sight?" She asked him.
But this made Dan even more worried as he was sweating bullets. "I do, but we only just met, and I am not interested in what you're offering." He said as he tried to get her off.
"Ohh don't be that way." She told him as she started smothering him with kisses, earning deadpan stares from Raiden and Kung Lao as they watched him getting sexually assaulted by her. "Let's get a little more acquainted with each other in private. Away from all these eyes." She told him as she held onto him tightly and rubbed her knee against his groin.
Dan blushed furiously when he felt it, he panicked as he started to struggle while getting covered with lipstick kisses and looked towards Raiden and Kung Lao. "Guys, a little help here!" He pleaded to them as he struggled.
Kung Lao meanwhile, was chuckling as he watched the scene. "I don't know Dan, she really seems to like you." He pointed out, denying to aid him.
Dan shot a fierce glare at him as he struggled. "Oh, and I bet you're really enjoying this, aren't you?!" He yelled at him as Kung Lao chuckled in amusement.
"Come on, Kung Lao. This is a holy place. We cannot permit this sort of thing." Raiden told him to remind him of the rules.
Kung Lao let out a sigh as he looked towards Raiden. "All right. Let's help him before Runo throws a tantrum." He told him as he and Raiden walked towards Julie to get her off of Dan.
But she hissed like a mother cat protecting her kitten, holding Dan close as his face was buried between her breasts. "Back off! He's mine!" She yelled as she held him tighter, making him squeal as he could feel his ribs breaking. "Come between me and Danny, and I'll-"
Before she could finish, she felt a hand grab her by her shirt from behind. She turned around to see a blue haired girl with twin ponytails on each side of her head, wearing a sleeveless shaolin uniform as she shot a glare at Julie and pulled her off of Dan. "Get, OFF!" She threw her away as she screamed and crashed against the ground. "If you don't follow the rules, you have no right being here." She told her.
Julie meanwhile was livid as she got up and growled at her. "Hey! Who do you think you are, huh?!" She demanded an answer.
It was then that Liu Kang approached after exiting the portal. "This is Runo Misaki. She arrived here not long before you did." He informed her as he looked towards Dan. "Are you alright Daniel?" He asked him.
He groaned as he was covered in lipstick. "You mean besides being ambushed by a love obsessed girl, and getting smothered with kisses? Never better." He replied as Runo walked up with a damp towel.
"Here, let me help with that." She offered as she started wiping his face with the towel.
He allowed her to clean his face without struggling, he exhaled and looked at her. "Thank Runo, for getting her off me and… for this." He gestures to his face.
She smiled as she cleaned him up. "Hey, we may be chosen champions for Lord Liu Kang. But we need to look out for one another." She told him as she finished.
"Which brings us to our new champions." Liu Kang told them as he gestured to them. "You've already met Julie Makimoto." He said as Julie was waving flirtatiously towards Dan, making him further uncomfortable as he backed away. "These are Johnny Cage, International Action Star, and Kenshi Takahashi." He introduced them.
Kenshi bowed to them respectfully as Johnny waved his hand. "What's up?" He greeted them.
"Last but not least. I want you to meet Shun Kazami." Liu Kang introduced him as Shun stepped up.
Dan's eyes widened in surprise as he walked up to him. "Shun?" He asked.
Shun saw him and walked up to him. "Dan? What the hell are you doing here?" He asked him.
"I should be asking you the same thing. You dropout of middle school to train at your grandfather's dojo. No call, no note. Then you show up here?" He asked him.
Liu Kang looked between them along with Johnny as the actor looked towards the Fire God. "Umm, this is awkward. I'm guessing they knew each other?" He asked.
"Dan and I went to middle school together. But my mother became ill, and I had to drop out to take care of her." Shun explained only to lower his head. "But she died a year later… and I had to live with my grandfather. Learning the ways of the ninja." He explained.
"I see. It is rather unfortunate you had to experience such trauma, and it's no wonder Daniel seems so hostile towards you." Liu Kang pointed out as he looked towards Dan. "We all go through difficult hardships at a young age. But we must not dwell on them." He told them as he touched their shoulders. "From this day on. You must train together, to strengthen your power and your resolve."
Dan and Shun took the moment to acknowledge such wisdom from their future mentor, they knew they needed to let go of the past and focus on the future. They nodded to each other and looked at their future mentor. "When do we begin?" Dan asked him, while Liu Kang smiled at his determination, as well as the others who were willing to join the fight.
"We begin your training tomorrow, get some rest. For it will be long till the tournament begins." Liu Kang informed them as he walked away to let them find their places of rest. As he left the champions to know one another, he could feel something was nearby as he walked somewhere to hide. "There's no use hiding. I know you're there." He informed the figure following him as he turned around. Walking out of the shadows was Dragonoid, the same one who left Dan with Miyoko as he walked towards the Fire God. "It's been a while, I see you had to escape Vestroia once again." He said to him with his arms behind his back.
"Naga made it surprisingly easy this time." Drago informed him.
"I'm sure he would like it to appear so. Why are you here, Drago?" He asked him.
"To warn you that he will send warriors on his behalf to the tournament." Drago informed him as he walked beside the Fire God. "I know not who the warriors will be, but they will likely fight on behalf of the empress." He told him what he learned.
"I see… this may be troubling." Liu Kang admitted as he looked towards him. "What of Daniel's mother, Wavern?" He asked him.
"She went missing after the Infinity Core was left to our son, it's best she remained that way. Naga has grown too dangerous ever since he gained power over the Silent Core." He explained.
Liu Kang looked down knowing he's right. "There is still so much about your realm that I do not know about. I would hate for our realms to be at war with one another." He told him.
"As would I… which is why we must be prepared for the worst should war come to be." Drago told him as they walked together, Liu Kang knew that he was right. They were going to be in for a fight unlike any other should Naga reach either Earthrealm, or Outworld.
(Author Notes: Hey guys, I just finished my latest chapter of Mortal Kombat: Vestroia Chronicles. Ever since Mortal Kombat 1 was released, I instantly fell in love with it. I don't care what anyone says about it, it's literally number 1 for me this year. Now some of you probably asked me what their backstories were on DeviantART.
