These are not my characters. I make zero dollars from this. Completely AU! Just plugging our favorite characters into my original story.
WARNING! Some things will be alluded to and not described in excessive detail. I'm not a doctor or any medical professional. This means there will be some creativity with the scenario to fit my goal. If something is a trigger for you. I apologize, this story will reference abuse, rape, and domestic violence. There is a great deal of drawing your conclusions on those fronts. Thanks, y'all for sticking with me. I am hoping to regularly schedule an update. I'm trying to get my life together LOL! Please remember this story is IN PROGRESS. I know it isn't finished.
Ignore the spicy disaster that is me. Please harass me if updates take an insane time.
Margaret this one is for you!
Best friends, Kim and Margaret snuck out the side exit of the church as they strolled arm and arm to their car. Once safely inside they glanced at each other and let loose with laughter.
"Can you believe that? Her precious husband is in trouble." Kim cackled.
Margaret snorted, "Are you really surprised? That whole family is like school on a Sunday, No class. "
As they buckled into their seats they continued discussing the exciting events from church.
"Margaret, we should play a game. It would be good for us sweet old ladies to be more social." Kim suggested as she started the car and headed towards the exit.
"But we do not like these people. If it wasn't for our mortgage being paid off and the radius to our grandbabies, we would have headed south years ago."
"I am not suggesting we start changing who we are, just go out after church today. Perhaps see what we can stir up."
"Well, that sounds like perfect exercise for us. What did you have in mind?"
"What if we skipped our normal Sunday routine and visited the American legion to join the other church ladies for tea and a healthy discussion on how we found today's service," Kim explained her plan to her best friend.
"$10.00 to the first one who works Valerie Morelli into a conversation. $20.00 if you start a fight," Kim retorted.
"And $50 to whoever causes the cops to be called again." Margaret upped the stakes.
"Deal, Do you think they will realize what we are even doing? Could we get them to blame each other?"
"Bonus points for creativity" Kim announced.
"Let's stop for something to spike our tea with. Worst case we blame somebody spiking the punch again."
They both laughed as the car made a quick U-turn to hit the closest liquor store.
Once they strolled into the hall they were fashionably late. The two friends made their rounds starting at the refreshments table. Ensuring everyone saw them and they could hint at possible gossip. Before long we settled near a table of ladies who frequented the beauty salon more often than results were showing.
Loudly Kim leaned closer to her partner in crime and whispered, "Did you see what Valerie Morelli was doing in the lord's house?"
"I know you have to be in trouble for people to show up at church to speak with you. Can you imagine the embarrassment?" Margaret replied scandalized.
"Her husband is not doing her any favors with that whole mess but to add to this. That poor mother-in-law. Do you think they will let her keep her kids?"
"I am sure they must have a support system in place. Angie Morelli is always going on about how wonderful it is to have a son who has given her so many grandchildren. "
The voices around us started to soften as they obviously listened in on our conversation.
"They are such pillars of our community. This is just another thing they will survive. Especially now with Helen out. I am positive they will continue to raise all those babies just as Valerie and Joseph have been raised." Kim reassured her friend.
"Yes, Who wouldn't want more versions of them in this community? Just imagine the things they will do." Margaret encouraged.
"Oh, you know what this event needs? Mimosas! Break out that bag dear and let's get everyone one. Let us celebrate the things that are coming this way." Kim cheered.
45 minutes later, Kim and Margaret sat back enjoying the mayhem they had created. It was when lips loosened and not only did Mary Bianchi mention how she heard Joseph Morelli with goats just outside of town at the petting zoo but also how the new fire chief was putting half the local strip club through college. One thing for sure Ladies' Bible study this week was going to be a good old time.
Author's Note, I know this is short but I am trying to get back into the swing of things with my muse. Working my way from how I want it to end to where I left off. Keep with me as I work on a large chapter as forgiveness to ya'll.
