"No need to take too much pressure, alright?" Edward's voice interrupted my thoughts.
I worked until very late this week. I was losing my mind over this project. I wanted to crack this deal at any cost. I wanted to show that loser his place!
"I know it's not an easy project... We've been struggling a lot," he said as he entered my office.
"And yet you gave me this so that I'd fail, and you can have some sadistic pleasure," I said with frustration.
"Naah... It's... Oh, I believe Halloween is still a few days away," he said.
What?
I raised my eyebrow.
"Can't believe this scary old guy is still alive!" He chuckled.
He was talking about my Plush toy.
My Pooh.
My lucky charm.
My most favorite thing in the whole world.
"No need to comment on him, okay?" I said.
"Oh, he still has these stupid socks on!" he laughed.
"Sshhhh... Shhh..." Dad took me in his arms.
"They left my Pooh in the rain... Now he's destroyed..." I cried harder.
I didn't like it here.
Everyone was horrible
I missed my Mommy!
"Riley... Jacob..." Dad said in a strict voice, "Tell me what happened."
They were horrible.
They were a year older to me, and they were so strong.
They always made fun of me.
I didn't like them!
"Dad... It's... We were having fun... We were just teasing her... And we asked Edward to put her Pooh in the rain just to tease her, and..."
Edward!
So he was the real culprit!
He put my Pooh in the rain!
My Pooh was ruined because of him!
I didn't like him!
I was so mad at him!
I glared at him and he looked down at the ground immediately.
"I'm going to have a word with all of you," Dad said.
My Pooh never fully recovered from this incident.
He never got his original looks back!
"My Mom gave these for your Pooh," Edward said to me when he came to our house after two days. He gave me the socks for my Pooh, "And she asked me to say sorry to you."
"Oh! Socks for my Pooh?" I said.
Oh, I never thought my Pooh would need socks!
They were so cute!
"I love them! Thank you so much!" I smiled.
"He looks even more scary now," he chuckled.
"Not a word on my Pooh!" I said.
"Alright, alright!" He laughed.
