Okay guys! Here is chapter 8! Wow, I have been so crazy busy since the last time I posted and finally got the chance to sit and write. By the way, I moved into a sort of place of my own and now have my own space! Been trying to get settled in and working on getting my car fixed…...man don't ask, lol. Anyways, here is the next installment in my Nova Prime series. Hope you enjoy!
Chapter 8
Sam stood on the airship that was shot down as he looked over at Bumblebee. "You can fly this thing, right?" he asked him while squinting in the sun at his best friend. Bumblebee did a "so-so" motion and Sam looked over at Nova surprised and looked back at Bumblebee. "So, you so-so can fly this, that makes me feel terrible" Sam said, and Nova rolled her eyes. "Ya know he was still considered quite young when the war broke out so cut him a little slack okay? He probably never had to fly one." Nova said standing behind the yellow bot. "Oh don't defend him just because he's your boyfriend!" Sam exclaimed and the soldiers laughed. Epps came up to Sam and handed him a simple glock by the barrel with the handle facing him. "We're right behind you, (Sam takes the gun apprehensively and sticks it in his back waistband before walking away) Alright we're going in" he announces to the rest of the team and Bumblebee ignited the engines of the airship before taking off, turning around, slightly scraping the bottom on a light pole and flying away. Nova shook her head with a smile before heading out with Optimus and the others.
With Carly
We join our poor damsel in distress as she is sitting on a couch in the Trump tower, staring, at a dog….super fun right?
She looked around to make sure no one was around before getting up, walking by a window where there were more airships attached to a building diagonally across the street, and looked into a telescope. She pointed it to the tower with the pillars where Star-scream was landing to join Megatron and Sentinel.
On the pillar tower
Star-scream landed near the towering figure of Sentinel Prime as he looked over the city. "The city is secure. The humans cannot stop us." Megatron announced as he walked around the ledge of the building. "As the afternoon falls, the rest of the pillars will reach their launch position." Sentinel said coming up behind the warlord. "This is the victory I promised you so many years ago, where we re-build Cybertron, together" Megatron said to the Decepticon Prime. "I have deigned to work with you (shoves Megatron's face in the side of the building) so our planet may survive. I will never work for you! (pulls a piece of Megatron's helm off and starts to walk away) you would be wise to remember the difference" Sentinel said before walking away. And all this time, Carly was watching the whole thing through the telescope.
Back with Carly
The scene cuts back to the tower that Carly is trapped in where Bumblebee is flying the ship up to the balcony so Sam can jump from the ship to the edge of the building. He grips the top of the metal and glass railing and jumps over it to make his way to the doors with his gun in his hands, pointed down while he walked looking around corners and crouching along the kitchen counter where a maid was approaching on the other side.
Soon Dylan's voice could be heard from the other side of the counter where Sam was waiting with the gun ready. "Oh, I am so sick of this. I'm just so sick of waiting." Dylan said as he pulled the hidden fridge open in the penthouse kitchen.
Sam musters up the courage to stand and point it at Dylan as he has a mouth full of what he just took a bite of. "Where is she? WHERE IS SHE!" Sam first asked calmly before yelling. "You got some balls." Dylan said before Carly comes around the corner right as Laser-beak was transforming from display on the wall and attacking Sam. He fought the large metal bird bravely before it flew him out the door, crashing through the glass railing and dropping him off the ledge all while Carly was screaming Sam's name. Laser-beak looked proud of himself while Carly was crying for Sam until he started flying back up on Bumblebee's new toy. "CARLY!" Sam yelled; she looked back from where a goon was pulling her, she saw him sitting on the machine gun attachment. He screamed for her, and she shoved the goon to let her go, took off and jumped on the ship with him. As soon as she was in his arms, Bumblebee started up the large guns and fired on the building. A drone came flying by and got caught in the turbine while Laser-beak started attacking Sam again. As Bumblebee was spiraling through the air, with Carly in the cockpit with him, Sam fought with the large metal bird until he got his head over one of the smaller guns and yelled for Bumblebee to fire. He did and blew the head off the bird, finally putting an end to the large metal menace. As he was spiraling in the air he crashed into buildings, and finally landed on the ground while rolling and breaking everything in the process and making people scatter to get out the way. Soon all the bridges around them started rising and more airships appeared to defend them. Bumblebee finally landed the ship while Sam was on the ground next to it…...must have fallen off because he was on the machine gun, idiot. Anyways, he got up and started making his way to the ship while the other Autobots started coming down the road. Leading the group would be the Italian sportscar of Mirage, followed by the wreckers, Ratchet, and the rest of the bots with Optimus and Nova at the back. Carly opened the hatch of the airship while Sam was climbing back onto it to get to her. She spotted him and jumped into his arms, so happy to see him. Sam held onto her with a tight embrace, afraid to let her go again. "You found me" she mumbled into his shoulder. "I'd find you anywhere" he responded while bots got closer. Optimus and Nova parked at the front of the group while Carly crouched on the ship, Bumblebee stood behind them with cannons drawn, and Sam stood at the ground level, waiting. The blue wrecker, Top spin, came into view while Epps and his men showed up. "What are you crazy?" Epps asked before giving Sam a hug. "I could have told you that Epps" chimed the voice of Nova from her vehicle mode and Sam rolled his eyes before going over to a drone that was sparking in the turbine of the airship. "What is this? Is this us?" he asked Epps as they made their way over to it. "This thing is a military UAV stealth. Check and make sure it's still working. (Epps kneels to the camera on the head of the drone) flight control do you copy? (cleans off screen and bumps the drone) can you rotate, can you do something?" Epps asked, getting increasingly more frustrated. Suddenly the drone starts moving in response. "Yes! Yes! Okay, okay they can see us" Epps said before moving so Sam can get to it. "Chicago is ground zero did you see that? Can you hear us? Understand?" Carly moves in. "Please listen. Sentinel Prime is here, and he has the pillars to his Space Bridge. They're on top of a building on the Chicago River. It's owned by Hotchkiss-Gould Investments. Now, the pillar that controls everything is in the southeast cupola." Carly says before Sam gets in-front of it again. "You've got to destroy the pillar. You have to shoot down the pillar or they're going to transport Cybertron here, do you understand? Do you understand?" Sam exclaimed before the drone stopped moving. At this point all the Autobots transformed, and Optimus was leaning over them, mostly for protection, and to conceal the humans. "We need to move before the fighters spot us" he boomed as Sam was looking around. "Wait here until we can scout a route ahead, let's roll" Optimus said while taking off with Sideswipe. "Ratchet, Iron hide, cover high" Sideswipe called, and Ratchet nodded at the retreating bots. Nova stuck around with Sam and crouched by them as they re-grouped. Sam walked up to the soldiers as they were loading their guns and came up with an idea. "Hey, do you think we can use that rocket to shoot the pillar?" he asked while they checked their ammo.
Epps looked at a map in his hand before answering. "We're eight blocks away, we gotta get closer if we wanna take that shot" "Not closer, higher! We need clear line of sight" Hooch, one of the soldiers said standing on a metal fire escape and pointing to a tall building. "It's across the river, gonna have a hell of a time trying to sneak up. "We only got one shot" Mongo said holding up the only rocket left. "One shot is all we need" Sam said as Nova looked on in amazement as her brother led a group of war hardened soldiers on a suicide mission. "Ya know your crazy right Sam?" Nova asked as he got closer to her. He smiled up at her shrugged. "That's just part of being a Witwicky, gotta be a little crazy." He remarked and she sniggered before standing to full height and joining the other bots on guard.
Soon everyone was mobilizing and driving down the road. Bee, the wreckers, Nova, Ratchet, Iron-hide and the others. As they sped down the street, papers from toppled news stands fluttered in the wind that came from the cars and Brains yelled out of the cab of Lead-foot. "Autobot Victory! Autobot Victory!" Optimus joined them from behind with his weapons trailer until the ground came up and a drilling sound could be heard. His trailer tipped over and Optimus kept on going while something that looked like a giant metal tentacle came out of the ground and chewed up the concrete while growling. From the tangled mess of metal tentacles emerged Soundwave in all his cyclops glory. His one red eye glowed in anger as he watched Optimus get away from his little pet. He charged his arm/cannon and growled as they all escaped.
They soon gathered in an old building tall enough for Optimus to stand in, while Epps exclaimed "That is one scary ass Decepticon!" "That would be Soundwave, and yes he is scary" Nova remarked as she stood with her guns out and looking out the large windows. Optimus paced around with his cannon ready saying "They got my trailer; I need that flight deck! They can't hunt us all at once, Wreckers, we need a diversion" the wreckers were way too excited to oblige in that request and Nova looked at her dad.
AN: (Sorry to interrupt, but did anyone else notice that he never used this flight deck in the other movies or is it just me? He literally only had it for these last few scenes of the movie and that's it! Sorry, rant over, continue!)
"What do you need me to do?" she asked, and he looked at her proudly. "With me. If they want this planet, they will have to take it from both of us" Optimus said, and she nodded. "You got that right!" she cheered, and Sam looked at her funny. She giggled and Sam shook his head before going with the other soldiers. "Listen, we're gonna circle around to that glass building. And we'll get high enough to make the rocket shot while you guys draw his fire. Let's move!" Epps called and the group started heading out but Que stopped them. "Wait a minute! I'm not letting you go out there without my urban combat prototypes!" he exclaimed in his old man voice. "We gotta go Que! We do not have time for this!" Nova complained and Sideswipe agreed. "Yeah man we gotta go!" "Wait, wait, they're great inventions for kicking ass!" Que said as he laid some metal gadgets down on the ground so they could pick out what they wanted. Sam picked up some gloves and stick contraptions. "What are these?" he asked, holding them up for inspection. "Those are boom sticks, armed in thirty seconds. And those are grappling gloves, great for climbing!" Que explained and Nova had left with Sideswipe and the other bots. The bots provided the cover fire while Sam, Carly and Epps could escape with the other soldiers down the road.
AN: Poor Carly is not wearing the right shoes for this mess
As everyone shot at Shockwave, he shielded himself with a large metal shield, duh, and the wreckers started leaving, while leaving Brains and Wheelie behind after they fell out of the cab of one of the wreckers.
The humans were still running full speed down the road, and once they were inside, Epps told them to take the stairs with Sam leading the way. Around the corner there were people cowering behind a wall because they didn't know what else to do. "Epps this way!" Sam called and they started up the stairs.
After a few floors they got to a large floor where there was mostly windows. "This is high enough" Sam exclaimed. "This is a mother getting up here" Eddie, the larger soldier, exclaimed as he was out of breath. "Get your fat ass over here!" Epps yelled and Eddie huffed. "I'm coming" "Set up the rocket! They're coming!" Epps commanded as they all set up near the broken, open window.
Sam brought Carly over to the window and she pointed to the building that they needed to hit. "There! The building with the dome!" she exclaimed as she held onto Sam. As they were getting the rocket loaded Eddie was struggling to hold onto the weapon because the building started to move. Everyone was yelling and screaming "The building! They're shooting at the building!" "This is not a good idea" Eddie said as he held the rocket. "What?" Epps asked and Eddie repeated. "This is not a good idea, the building is unstable" "Listen, stop for a second. If we don't do what we came to do, it doesn't matter, we all die, right? That's your target. (Points to the tower that housed the main pillar) Come on, man!" Sam exclaimed as he went back to Carly. "I don't even care if the building collapses man, I'm having a heart attack anyway." Eddie said holding the weapon on his shoulder and looking through the scope. Soon the building started to tip and everything from furniture to glassware started rolling away. They scrambled to hold onto the support beams as the building kept falling.
Down on the ground
Nova and Optimus fought through the swarms of Decepticons with their fellow Autobots. Taking down as many as they could but it seemed like they wouldn't stop. For every three Autobots there seemed to be a hundred Decepticons. The situation started to look hopeless especially when Nova noticed the building that Sam and Carly had gone into started tipping sideways. "No Sam!" she exclaimed and one Decepticon used that distraction to land a hard blow to her head making her dazed for a minute. Soon that Decepticon was separated from his head when Iron-hide came to her rescue. He nodded at her, and she nodded back before getting back into the fight. Optimus and Sideswipe started making headway and Nova happened to look up and see several small figures jumping out of the newly broken glass window and sliding down the building. They broke through another window and onto a lower floor. She breathed a sigh of relief before she heard the un-mistakable voice of Soundwave calling his little pet, the driller-bot.
It came up from the ground and started making its way to the half-broken building. Soon it started drilling its way through the building and up to their level. "Please be okay Sam" she muttered to herself as she kept fighting.
Up in the doomed building
Sam and the rest of the group scrambled to find a way out when Epps looked out the window and spotted the driller-bot getting closer. "Why do Decepticons always get the good shit?" Epps yelled moving away from the window.
Sam yelled "Move!" and everyone started moving away from the window. "We're about to be eaten people!" Epps yelled and then the driller bot started wrapping its cybernetic tentacles around the building until it destroyed enough of it to reach the support beams, and crushed them like a giant boa constrictor killing its prey. The top half of the building fell the rest of the way and landed on an adjacent building catching its fall. The group landed on support beams inside the building, and Sam reached out and caught Carly as she fell between the beams with his arm reaching backwards, screaming in pain as she dangled above the gaping hole in the building.
As he and Carly screamed, he started swinging her to the other men below them. "Give me your hand! I'm swinging that way!" he called over to Hooch who was below him. "Got her!" he called back. "I'm dropping you on the fire escape!" he called down to Carly and she landed on the fire escape below them.
As Carly stood there she watched as the driller Decepticon started to destroy the rest of the building. "SAM!" Carly screamed as the driller got closer to her. The team started dropping onto the fire escape and going down the stairs. Sam let the group pass him as he watched the carnage of the driller tearing through the building like it was nothing. Soon they heard jet engines approaching and soon appeared the heroic Optimus Prime flying up to the building with guns blazing. After a few fancy flight maneuvers, he took off a chunk of the driller. When it hit the ground Optimus flew up onto a crane and waited. Shockwave started growling in Cybertronian because he hurt his pet and launched some missiles at the Prime with the high ground. (lol I'm hilarious) before Optimus could evade all the rockets, one hit him and proceeded to launch him through a building and wrap him in cables.
As he hung upside down, he struggled with the cables as he tried to remove them from his extensive armor. Soon a voice could be heard from below yelling his name "OPTIMUS!" "Wreckers!" Optimus yelled back, "WERE COMING!"
The scene shifts to Sentinel Prime standing on the tower with the control pillar. "Decepticons around the world, launch the pillars" he announced and suddenly the control pillar lit up.
Ok, now back to Sam and the other soldiers. (I know my transitions suck)
They bust out of a door on street level finally and head down an alley. Sam looks up as he's running and sees the main pillar flashing with electricity. "It's starting, you see it?" he asks as they all run behind him. Suddenly gunfire rains down on them and hits the ground in front of them. "Whoa get down!" Epps yells and they run into an empty building, while Sam and Carly keep on going.
They stop and regroup before Epps looks around and looks at Eddie. "Where are Sam and Carly?" and Eddie looks around confused. "They were right behind us" Eddie answered, and Epps shook his head. "I give you one thing to do! One thing to do and you drop the ball on that." Epps yelled. "I didn't sign up for all this, Got aliens blasting me, running around chasing me. I'm ducking in churches and buildings and all that kind of crap, this is bullshit, I didn't sign up for this, Epps. I'm trying to keep it together." He ranted.
Meanwhile Sam and Carly are doing their own recon by hiding behind a school bus before they get spotted by the flying Dorito himself, Star-scream. He lands next to them, mouth watering with all kinds of fluids (yuck!) and crouches down to their level. "What a treat, you and me, alone!" he growled before the two took off running. As they ran, he flipped over the bus, and they hid under it after it had landed. "He's after me, not you, come on." Sam said as they climbed into the flipped bus and ran through the aisle before Star-scream yelled "You can't hide from me boy!" and activated his saw before slicing through the under carriage of the bus, effectively cutting it in half. They ran out the emergency exit door in the back, as he growled more. "I love it when your little insect feet….try to run!" Star-scream yelled and Carly skidded behind a low wall while Sam hid behind a dumpster before the Decepticon crushed it. Sam fell to the ground and Screamer hovered over him. "Thought you were working for us boy!" he said as the fluid flew from his mouth. All while Screamer was talking Sam glared at him defiantly as he pulled his bag around and dug for some of Que's inventions. He pulled the glove out and attached it to his hand while Screamer destroyed things around the wall where Carly was cowering. He activated the glove, armor came out and spread over his forearm, and the grappling hook launched in the air. It opened midair, almost in slow motion, before latching it's self around Screamer's eye. The con screamed (HA see what I did there!) in pain as the cable started to pull his optic out of it's socket. Why do you think they call him Star-SCREAM? He recoiled backwards, pulling Sam into the air screaming, and swung around trying, and failing to get the hook off. He flew up with his thrusters onto a parking garage, destroyed it, flung a few cars out in the process, and effectively tried everything he could think of to get the hook out of his eye. Suddenly as he was throwing himself around, he flung Sam into a building and Lennox came over to Carly at the wall. "Lennox you've got to save Sam! You've got to save him!" she screamed as he joined her behind the wall while looking over it. "What is he doing?" he asked trying to get a better look. Sam was in the building but still attached to the grapple arm. He scrambled with Que's boom stick, "This better work!" he said before activating it and jumping to the side from an explosion. After getting back up he ran out the open hole in the building and jumped on Screamer. He landed on his shoulders while he was pre-occupied with Lennox's team shooting at him, Sam yelled and proceeded to stab the stick into Screamer's other eye, while still being attached to the grapple on the first eye. Screamer thrashed around yelling "I CAN'T SEE! I CAN'T SEE!" and Sam went flying again. Lennox caught him and tried to disconnect the cable the best he could. "Cut the line! Cut the line!" "I'm trying!" Lennox yelled back as Sam was freaking out. They yelled come more about trying to cut the line, Screamer flung them around more while Lennox asked how much longer they had on the boom stick, until Screamer flew up in the air and took them with him. They screamed as they bobbed up and down until finally the boom stick exploded and took off Screamer's head. The line was finally cut seconds before the stick exploded and they fell back down. Before they could hit the ground, Bumblebee and Nova raced through and transformed mid-air before Bee caught them mid-air, transformed back into vehicle mode, and landed on his tires while they rested on his hood. Nova stood there with her hands on her hips and shaking her head. "Now who said you could have all the fun without me?" she asked, and Sam shook his head. Soon the pieces of Screamer's body landed on the ground in-front of them and Bee back up just slightly so it wouldn't hit them. The two laid there a minute catching their breath and trying to sit up. "Well, he's dead" Sam said, and Nova smiled before transforming back into vehicle mode and waiting for them to climb off the hood so they could meet up with the rest of the group.
Sam and Lennox ran down the alley as Nova and Bee took off and Sam yelled at the other soldiers. "Okay, they're going to run with the rest of the Autobots, meet us at the river."
The large creature-like ships in the air started pulling back all the other gunships that were patrolling above the city while Sam, Lennox and the other soldiers grouped at a building by the river. "We got to get across the river, (crouches down with Lennox and points to the building with the control pillar) you see that? She said the control pillar is in the first cupola." Sam instructed before Lennox gave the order to move out.
Sometime later they made their way further into the city until they got to the boat bridges. Currently they were open, and the group gathered around the base. "How do we get these bridges down?" Lennox asked looking around on guard. The group went under an overpass and met up with Epps and his group. "Epps!" Lennox called happily as they shook hands, "Epps! We've been looking for you man how you doing?" Lennox asked and Epps shook his head. "Retirement's wack. Even worse, we can't get across the river to that building and the Autobots are upstairs surrounded." Epps said and they made their way to a tower-like building that houses the controls to the bridge. "Try getting into the bridge control room. We need to get these bridges down." Lennox ordered the group.
Lennox looked up from his spot and noticed the security cameras moving to face them. He pointed to the camera and made his way to the water. "Sir, the seals are here" "Oh it's a good day boys, what 'ya got?" Lennox called as he hurried down to the navy seals that were climbing out of the water. "Got ten manned navy seal element sir, tasked with vectoring in Tomahawks." One seal said and Lennox asked, "How long?" "Fifteen" the soldier responded. "All right, you're gonna need your forty Mike-Mikes and frags. Go full auto. The vibrations jack up their circuits. Snipers shoot for the eyes. All right, your target is up on top of that building, that cupola." Lennox instructed his team as they geared up to take the tower. Sentinel was walking along the balcony of the tower as the large gunship hovered over the Autobot prisoners. "How doomed you are, Autobots. You simply fail to understand that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Activating the bridge." Sentinel said and activated the pillar inside the cupola. As the pillar hummed, it created electricity and formed an electric pyramid around the cupola. The Decepticons in the ship cheered as the space bridge became activated.
The soldiers on the ground suddenly reacted when the bridge started lowering. "The bridge is coming down! Someone's watching over us!" Epps cheered and they all mobilized across the bridge.
On the other side of the bridge was Soundwave standing over his Autobot prisoners. Bumblebee, Que, Ratchet, Dino, Nova and Sideswipe. He pulled Bumblebees arms up behind his head and Sam, who was hiding inside an overturned car, turned around and watched as a beam of light shot out from the pillar and into the sky, opening a hole in space big enough to bring the planet of Cybertron through.
(A.N. If the Autobots are as big as they are, can you imagine how big their planet is? That's insane!)
Dylan, the human Decepticon, approached Soundwave as he growled. "Prisoners? Your keeping prisoners?" he asked. "Yes" Soundwave responded simply. "You need to teach them about respect. This was all business, but now it's personal, do you understand me?" he ordered up to the large con, who could flatten him in an instant. "Heh heh, I understand, no prisoners, only trophies" and the other guards started to set them up, firing squad style. "Bee, I think they're going to kill us" Que realized as he stood next to Bumblebee. Bee made a noise of protest as he struggled in the grip of his captor. Barricade came up behind Que and pushed him forward. "Your time is up" he growled, and Que fell to the ground before he scooted backwards to get away from him. "Wait, wait, wait! We surrendered! We're your prisoners." He stammered before Barricade picked him up on his feet and directed him to the middle of the circle. "Can't we talk this out? We're all a bunch of good chaps! I mean you no- why did you- aah!" Que begged before they fired on him and he fell to the ground, spark snuffed out for good. Nova could feel his death on a deeper level as the bearer of the Alspark. She felt his soul inter the well of sparks as he hit the ground and his head rolled away. She heard his voice in her head softly saying "Don't worry about me sweet spark. You keep living and make sure you take care of my inventions for me. Till all are one"
She felt her spark twist at the final departing words of the inventor and smiled sadly before a single tear fell from her cheek.
(Such a sad death, I wish they didn't have to kill off Que)
Barricade laughed as he made his next selection to execute. "Good by my old friend" Bee chirped sadly from his spot and hung his head. Barricade grabbed Bee and pulled him forward, choosing him as his next target. "Your mine now" and dragged him along. Nova looked on in horror as they were about to execute her love. "NO! He's still young, leave him alone!" she yelled and tears of Energon pooled at the corners of her optics. "Ah, young love. This will make this even more enjoyable." Barricade laughed as he forced Bee to the circle. "Get off me!" Bee protested and Sam moved from his spot inside the car. "I gotta help him." Sam said as he fiddled with a boom stick. Carly begged him to stop when Sam kept repeating that he had to help him. The boom stick sparked, and Sam groaned in frustration because he couldn't help his best friend.
He watched helplessly as Bee was turned around, his arms pinned behind him, and faced Sam sorrowfully. Carly was on the other side of Sam with tears running down her face. "We- we gave them a hell of a run." Bee pieced together his radio while Barricade readied his cannon behind him. Suddenly his ear fins perked up and a whistling sound could be heard from above.
Bee looked up as gun ships rained down from the main ship, disabled. Nova breathed a sigh of relief as the bots got their chance to fight back! She took the moment of surprise and flipped around on her captor. She went full warrior mode and started dismantling the Decepticons around her. Bee started beating on Barricade, while Dino, Sideswipe and Iron-hide took on the others. Soon it was an all-out war zone, and Sam and Carly tried their best to stay out of the way as Bee duked it out with Barricade. The Con got some good blows in, but it was Bee who shoved his cannon up through the chest plates of Barricade's armor and ignited it while blowing Barricade's head clean off, gives a new meaning to "off with his head". While all this was happening, the main ship started to fall out of the sky and crash into several buildings along the way. It tipped sideways, flipped upside down and landed in the river.
Lennox and Epps led a group of soldiers to a building that had a large team waiting outside for them. "Come on. Whoa, whoa, whoa! Okay, baby! You all come with us!" Epps yelled as they headed into the building. "Go! You guys, follow that ground team! Go!" Lennox yelled as the teams split up, "Epps, third floor! We're going to 45!" Lennox ordered as the whole team runs up several flights of stairs that twisted in a spiral. Epps paused and looked up the staircase before continuing. They get to their floor and several soldiers line up at tall arches before Lennox gives another order. "All right. Two snipers, right here! All right, dock up!" and they all started getting their gear set up.
One soldier peered over the edge of the balcony and called back. "We jump in three minutes!" and the snipers take their positions. While Lennox is setting his men up there, Epps is on the ground with a handful of men setting up as cover. Lennox and a team go into a room before having them set up. He looks out the broken window and spots some Decepticons down there. "I'm set up down here" Epps calls on the radio. "We got five targets and Shockwave right below us, stand by to jump" he said into his radio and the men on the top of the building stood in the window arches on the railing waiting for their order to jump. "Alright let's go, get ready, get ready" he says to a soldier, and they wait for a minute before they jump out the windows and down to the ground. Epps watched from his position for all the parachutes to be released before giving an order over the radio. "Snipers, take out their eyes." And the snipers fired on the Cons grouped down on the ground. They hit their targets, the Decepticons looked around to see where the shots were coming from, and then the soldiers swarmed on them. Autobots and humans attacked the few Decepticons, as the soldiers planted bombs on their feet, and shot at them from the ground while they blew up in little pieces. None of them paid attention to the paratroopers floating down above them until Lennox got his parachute caught on Soundwave's head. He swung around, landed on the ground and started firing at the Cons with a large blaster style weapon. One soldier landed on Soundwaves back, blasted a hole in him, was knocked off and landed on a taxi. Lennox pulled him off before Epps gave the order to fire on Soundwave. Soon bullets rained down on him, he growled menacingly as he was being attacked from all sides. He turned toward the building that Epp's team was in and aimed his cannon. He never got the chance to fire because in came the wreckers and they shot at him from their vehicle modes.
Soon all the Autobots, minus Optimus, showed up and joined the battle. Nova smirked as her bots took over the battle and stood heroically before arming her cannons and giving the command "Autobots attack!" and the team charged into battle. While gun fire rained around her and the sound of explosions echoed in the air, Nova could still hear Sentinel's voice cut through the noise. "It's our world now! Commence transport!" he yelled from the building above them. Nova spared a glance above her to see that all the cupolas were lit up and pulsating with blue/white light. She tore her gaze away to focus back on the fight until she heard the unmistakable sound of jet engines getting closer. But these weren't the same jet engines from the gun ships, no, these were the jet engines of none other than Optimus Prime.
He had finally gotten free of the cables and decided to join the battle. He flew over the battlefield and picked off the Decepticons from the air before landing, abandoning his flight deck, and slashing through the cons like they were butter. The way he moved from each one was graceful and looked like he was dancing, with a glowing blade, and guns blazing. She was just about to finish one annoying Con before he was chopped in half by Optimus' blade as he moved through the battlefield, "Hey, that one was mine!" she shouted with a smile and chased after him, she knew where he was headed and wanted to be a part of it. He got to Shockwave, activated a spike knuckle weapon, punched through his side, punches him in the face, takes him to the ground while growling "You die!" and pulls out some pieces which makes his large cannon fire and hit one of the cupolas with the control pillar. Once the pillar is hit, the cupola disintegrates, the space bridge is disabled, and closes while Cybertron is still coming through. It cuts off a big chunk of the planet and is left floating in space. Sentinel yells in anger from his perch on the building and Optimus yells up at him. "Get down here Sentinel!" "Optimus, you forget your place" Sentinel calls back before jumping down from the building, breaking his fall by digging his blade into the building to slow him down, to land on the street while crushing long since abandoned cars. He lands in a kneel and puts his double edged blade in the ground like a walking stick. "I bring you Cybertron, your home, (Stands and twirls his blade while holding his shield in-front of him) and still you choose humanity."
Optimus responds by pulling his axe out from his back plates and activating his sword. "You were the one who taught me that freedom is everyone's right." He said before charging the traitor Prime. As he tackled him into the building behind, Optimus hit him with a few blows of his sword and axe before they were blocked by Sentinel's shield. "I will re trigger that pillar!" "Then you'll have to go through me!" Optimus said as he tried to get the upper hand in the fight. Sentinel knocked him off and kicked him down to the ground.
All while this was happening Nova joined the team of Autobots because while their commander was busy, she took charge and assumed command over the rest of the group. She watched Sam make a run for the pillar, so she charged her cannons. "Protect Sam, charge the pillar!" she yelled, and they all made a run for it. Lennox's team led the charge while the Autobots brought up the rear and took out the remaining Decepticons that tried to get in the way. "We got Autobots!" Epps called as he re-joined the group. "Nice to see you working Epps!" Nova called over to him with a smile as she shot down some Cons and he rolled his eyes before getting back to work. Sam was charging down the street, jumping over cars, sliding under them, running around those on fire, blocking his face from flying debris, and if you didn't know any better you would think he did track. No, he's just always running for his life.
While the Primes battled it out deeper in the city Sentinel called for reinforcements, like the coward he is. "Reinforcements! Decepticon ships, fire at Optimus!" he yelled, still exchanging blows with the better Prime. As they were instructed the Decepticon gunships turned around and aimed their weapons at Optimus from the air, making it a very unfair fight. But it would not last for long, for in the distance appeared missiles heading right for them. The humans had air support and it was about to even the odds.
"We got to cover Optimus! Autobots engage Sentinel!" Ratchet commanded while Nova gave him a look, shook her head, and went back to fighting. She approached the traitor Prime and smirked before engaging her battle mask and charged at him. He was swinging at the other bots with his shield and long double sword, so she danced around the shield, smacked him with her double-barreled cannon, shot him a couple times and just all around annoyed the tar out of him while the others shot at him.
"Decepticons, trigger the pillar! Restart that pillar!" he ordered and none other than the human Decepticon himself, Dylan who was hiding behind a metal fence, went to go find the pillar. "Trigger the pillar, right" he said before leaving his hiding spot.
Optimus tried with all his might as he shot down some of the gun ships before feeling very out gunned. "I can't hold them, the ships have us pinned!" he yelled as he made a break for it, was hit with a rocket and fell to the ground. Nova spotted him and hurried over to help her dad. She stood over him and activated her cannons on both arms as well as cannons coming from her back plates. "Don't worry pops, I got you covered" she said before her eyes glowed bright blue and when she turned back to the ships, she unleashed her artillery. These weren't regular bullets in her cannons, no, these were bullets of pure white light. When they hit the ships, they exploded upon impact and were gone, like no debris, just gone. She hit a few of them before she spotted missiles entering the airspace and blowing up the ships that she missed. She toned down the bright blue energy, but she still stood guard over Optimus with all weapons drawn. "You will never cease to amaze me Starlight" Optimus said over their bond, and she smiled behind her battle mask before sending him feelings of love and encouragement. "We're not done yet old man! Now get up and help me!" she yelled, he grunted as he stood back up and towered over her by a few feet. She looked around and spotted Sam still running for the pillar before looking back to her dad and commander for permission. He nodded and she saluted him before running off and covering her brother.
Sam kept up his pace as he ran through the battlefield, jumping over fallen pieces of buildings and cars on fire before reaching a cluster of building rubble with the pillar in it. Dylan had beat him there and was trying with all his might to keep Sam away from the pillar. He even went as far as to kick a column and make it roll toward Sam. Sam must not have very good reflexes because he rolled over it and still scrambled his way up the pile of rubble. "Dylan wait!" Sam yelled as Dylan got closer to the pillar. "No!" before they chased each other up the pile. Dylan turned and pulled a gun on Sam to stop him from reaching the pillar and Sam froze in his tracks. "Stop! Stop!" Sam shouted with his arms up and his chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath. "No!" Dylan said pointing it at Sam from a higher platform.
"You can't do this, okay?" "There's only one future for me" Dylan said before a newspaper flew into his face, he pulled it off and took his eyes off Sam for a second but that was all the time Sam needed to hit him in the knee with a chunk of concrete to bring him down. Sam tackled him to the ground, punched him in the face, Dylan pulled free and twisted himself around to bring his hand down on the pillar. His hand made contact and that was all he needed to reactivate the control pillar. It hummed, levitated off the ground, shot that blue/white light back into the sky, and re-opened the space bridge. Cybertron continued its journey into our galaxy, which spelled doom for humanity.
Sam, and everyone else on the side of good, looked up into the sky in disbelief as the space bridge was open once more.
Carly looked away from the events in the sky and continued her little solo quest where she had discovered the injured form of Megatron, the real leader of the Decepticons. She got closer to him with no fear as he pulled his canvas hood off his head. He leaned his head against the building behind him and looked up into the sky where you could see the octagonal outlines of the planet's shell. "Cybertron, you are saved, at last." He muttered and Carly continued to get closer. She finally stood at the foot of the giant metal Con and suddenly had a look of fear on her face. I bet she was thinking "What in the world am I doing! Am I insane! He could squash me in seconds flat!". No, she still stood there looking up at him and he looked at her right back, probably a little surprised she was even there in the first place, much less by herself. "Have you come to surrender?" he growled down at her as his eyes flickered and the hole in the side of his head sparked. "Was it all worth it?" Carly asked as she climbed up to his eye level. "Obviously" he said pretentiously as he sat there with the building holding him up. "All your work to bring Sentinel back and now clearly, he has all the power. It's actually almost tragic." Megatron raised his arm in anger and sat up, "You dare lecture me slave!" he roared while Carly fell back in surprise when he sat up that fast. I guess ole bucket head has a temper, no surprise there! Anyways!
"Your Decepticons finally conquering this planet and yet, their leader won't be you!" Carly dared to push farther. "It will be me! It will always be me!" he shouted as he brought his claws closer to her face. "In any minute now, you'll be nothing but Sentinel's bitch" Carly said quietly, and he roared in anger while reaching for her before stopping and realizing she was right. He was being cheated out of ruling the planet like he always fought for. He retracted his claws, and a thoughtful expression crossed his remaining faceplates.
The battle with Sentinel raged on back in the heard of the city while the soldiers continued to provide Optimus with cover fire while he re grouped. One soldier shot a rocket at Sentinel, and it connected with his chest before it sent him flying. "Die!" the soldier yelled when he landed. He didn't stay down for long because he hurriedly crawled away, transformed back into his fire truck mode, and started to drive away. Hot on his wheels was Optimus, and he was making sure he didn't get away.
Sam and Dylan were still duking it out in the rubble of the cupola as they fought over the pillar. Dylan pinned Sam in a space between pillars, "You chose side, you chose wrong" and kicked him repeatedly so he would fall on the ground and land on broken concrete. Sam landed spread eagle on his back motionless for a moment.
Optimus soon caught up with Sentinel at a bridge and tackled him which forced him to transform back into bi-pedal mode. They rolled and Sentinel got up to block Optimus' attack. "Always the bravest of us!" he yelled, holding his shield up and blocking another attack. He was eventually hit from behind and Optimus continued to hack at him before Sentinel got back up, "But you could never make the hard decisions. (Sliced his sword across Optimus' body, not doing very much damage, spinning around and hitting him with his shield while slicing with the two-sided sword) our planet will survive!" he knocked Optimus' sword from his hand, stepped on it, rammed his blade in Optimus' right shoulder, and pulled his arm off.) Optimus yelled in pain and Nova could feel that from across the battlefield, but she turned off the pain sensors of the bond before resuming her fighting. Unfortunately, she was unable to join her dad in the fight, too many cons to take care of. Plus, that was his fight.
Sentinel took the opportunity of weakness, he knocked him over with the top of his shield, jammed his blade into the shoulder joint of his remaining arm, removed it and proceeded to watch him crawl with one arm. "We were gods once, all of us!" he yelled with his deep voice (R.I.P Lenord Nemoy)
"But here…..." he said as he hovered over his former student. "Please!" Optimus begged as he knew what was coming next. Sentinel kicked him back to the ground and raised his sword "…...there will only be one!" Sentinel yelled as he raised his sword for the final blow, until a shot rang out behind him and re-focused his attention on the one and only, Megatron.
He started attacking Sentinel and beating the snot out of him. "This is my planet!" he roared as he knocked his helmet off and ripped out wires from his chassis.
The pillar still hovered above the wreckage of the cupola as it still powered the space bridge that was pulling their home-planet through. Dylan stood and watched the blue energy shoot into space as Sam snuck up behind him with a pole that had a piece of concrete attached. Dylan turned around and noticed Sam was ready to hit him with it. "I just saved a whole other world!" he said with a cocky grin on his face. "You think you're a hero huh? You think you're a hero?" Dylan yelled. "No, I'm just a messenger" Sam said before hitting yelling and hitting Dylan with the pole while knocking him into the active pillar. The electricity arched and coursed through his body briefly before he dropped down into the pile of rubble. Sam stood there catching his breath and guarding the pillar with his life until the others got there. "The pillars still connected!" Lead foot yelled from behind him as the group of soldiers got closer with Bee in tow. "Bee let's do this!" Sam yelled as he spotted his best friend get closer. "Let's go, let's go! Move, move! Pillars still connected!" Lennox yelled to his group as they weaved their way through.
"Rip that pillar down!" Road-buster yelled, and Ratchet ran by shooting at it but it didn't touch it until Bee full on tackled it like a linebacker. The pillar sparked and fell to pieces when he hit the ground. Suddenly all the Decepticons and their gunships were sucked back into the space bridge from whence they came, and as soon as the energy hit Cybertron, the planet was sucked into a black hole and destroyed. Once it was completely consumed, Nova looked around in disbelief. "Is that it?" she asked, and they all looked at her annoyed and confused.
Back on the bridge with the trio, Megatron was done with the royal smackdown he had given Sentinel and had him on his knees with his hand around his throat. "Now, we need a truce. (Throws him to the ground and walks around him) All I want is to be back in charge. (looks over at Optimus) besides, who would you be without me, Prime?" Megatron asked as Sentinel was crawling to the edge of the bridge.
Optimus looked over at Megatron and said "Time to find out" before engaging his battle mask and picking up his axe before hitting him square in the chest with it, removing it and hitting him in the back. Knocked him over, used the axe to pull his head up, and pulled it off his body with the spine attached. So ends the tyranny of Megatron, for now…...
Megatron's headless body starts spraying all kinds of fluid, falls to the ground and Optimus drops his axe with his head still attached, onto the bridge as the optics go dim.
Nova stood with the other bots and looked excited and concerned as she heard the low growl of Megatron's voice in her mind as she felt him send her one last message before joining the well of al-sparks,
Be warned femme, you have not seen the last of Megatronus. I will return for that Alspark, just you wait….
And then he was gone. She shuddered like she had goosebumps, but she knew that was impossible. She just felt really creeped out by his ominous message.
Back on the bridge, Optimus approached the form of Sentinel crawling along the bridge, defeated and broken. "Optimus, all I ever wanted, was the survival of our race. You must see why I had to betray you" Sentinel began as he propped himself up. Optimus hovered over him with only one arm, and a shot gun in hand. "You didn't betray me, (powers up his weapon before raising it) You betrayed yourself." He aimed and Sentinel yelled "No Optimus!" before he was blasted to pieces. Optimus had to power it up again in order to finish him off as he laid against the bridge railing. Soon the lights from his optics dimmed and then, he was truly one of the last primes. Optimus stood heroically and surveyed the damage to the city. All these battles for humanity and he saw the damage that they wrought in the process. He dropped his weapon on the bridge and looked out over the water while his team pulled up.
As soon as Sentinel's spark was snuffed out, Nova could feel a strange sense of peace coming from him as he passed onto the well of al-sparks with a message for her.
"You will be taught well by my student. Protect his spark and learn all you can from him. There is much strength within him as well as much weakness, but I see great things in your future, and his. Thank you Nova Prime, until all are one."
She was slightly confused by his parting message and wondered why the other Decepticons they fought didn't leave her a message as well. Maybe it was because they were so far gone that they never made it to the well. She'd never know, and hoped she would never find out. She rolled up to Optimus' location with the other bots and humans leading the way. Once they reached his location her spark hurt at the sight of him. He was missing an arm, his armor was so badly damaged you could barely tell that there were flames painted on it, and his body language was so tense. He visibly relaxed when he could see her vehicle mode emerge through the smoke and he started making his way to them. Bumblebee, who was in the front, parked and Sam slowly climbed out of his cab to look up at Optimus in awe and concern. Optimus nodded back to him before Sam looked across the bridge to spot Carly coming with another set of soldiers. He could barely make her out through all the smoke and ash, but he could never miss that head of blonde hair. Bee transformed behind him as Sam ran across the bridge to get to her. Carly shoved her way through the solid wall of muscle in-front of her and made a mad dash for Sam as well. Sam caught up to her, wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her in the air while she hugged him and held onto him for dear life. They suddenly were lost in their own little world of post-apocalyptic romance as soldiers walked around them.
They kissed briefly and Carly said the three little words that he wanted at the beginning of the movie. "I love you." "I love you" Sam says back. "You're the only thing I need in this world, and I'll do anything to make it up to you, I promise." "I'm going to hold you to that. Just never let me go" She said with her arms around his neck. "I promise" Sam responded and before they could kiss again, Bee started beeping and pulling rings of all sizes out of his chest armor. "Rings" Carly said noticing what they were, and Bee started playing a version of the wedding march over his radio. Carly picked up a ring off the ground and smiled at him. "I love this car" she said and looked at Sam mischievously. "Bee, you got to slow down, you go to slow way down, okay?" Sam asked looking up at his best friend. Bee just shrugs his shoulders and plays another clip over the radio. "I'm just trying to help out". "Well then what about you and my sister! I could spin this around on you guys too" Sam called up to them and Nova looked at him with a murderous glare. "Sam! Don't pressure him like that. He gets nervous when it gets mentioned." Nova said and Bee looked at her with his head tilted to the side confused. "yeah….what about us….Star?" Bee asked in his broken radio speech. "How come you're using your radio again?" Nova asked to change the subject. "Now don't go changing the subject femme. Answer the question" Iron-hide chimed in crossing his arms. Nova looked around at the bots, and humans, who were waiting for her response, and she giggled. "Well, he has to do it properly, then maybe I'll say yes" Nova answered as she crossed her arms and smiled. They all laughed and started to mill around.
Cue epic music and end of movie speech!
In any war, there are calms between storms. There will be days when we lose faith, days when our allies turn against us. But the day will never come when we forsake this planet and its people.

Dudes, I think this is the longest chapter to date, ever! Anyways, that marks the end of Dark of the moon! This has been years in the making and I am so glad I am done! Now, I am going to take a little bit of a break before I write Age of extinction, and that one is a little rough to process. I might publish a story/chapter of what I think should have happened to Sam and Carly after the events of DOTM. Did they get married? Did they have kids? No one really knows what happened to them after the movie ended. So I might have a little fun with it. Again, thank you to all the people who really stuck it out and was patient with me as I took my sweet time to write this last chapter!
