["CAPTIVATING CHAOS!"]
*One day at the Fenton Works household, Carrie Mayth is over in order to help Danny Fenton with a small upcoming quiz for his English class, but in reality, the blue-haired girl is over due to being bored in her own house and decides to see what her dear partner was up to when he had asked her for the help.
So, now both teens made their way down the steps of the boy's basement/laboratory to find his father, Jack Fenton, working on some type of a new floating possible ghost vehicle. Though, finding his head buried in a book he's holding, Danny then stops, and lowers the book to talk with his father.*
Danny: Dad, can I ask you a question?
Jack: *Turns around from working in the cockpit to face his Danny* About the Specter Speeder? *Wraps arm around him* Sure! *Places hand on Carrie's shoulder* I'll bet you were going to ask me the same thing were you, Carrie?
Carrie: *Not interested* No, not really, Mr. F…
*Not even caring about the Mayth's non-interested answer, Jack shoves the duo into the cockpit of the Specter Speeder, then sits down next to them, and points at the dashboard.*
Jack: This little baby has state-of-the-art spirit plane exploration technology. And it's got a… *Presses button* super-sized cup holder.
*Soon, a large cup holder pops out of the dashboard, making Carrie become even more bored until Maddie comes down the basement stairs. She stops near the end of the Specter Speeder to have a chat with her beloved husband.*
Maddie: Jack, dear...
*After the call of his wife is heard, Jack steps out of the Specter Speeder, and goes to stand next to her.*
Maddie: It's getting awfully late. Is there something that you might have forgotten today?
Jack: *Becomes clueless* Uh…
*Noticing her husband's odd reaction, the woman wearing her casual blue uniform decides to help him out a little.*
Maddie: Something significant? Having to do with today's date of May 9th?
*As she gives him constant clues, behind them is a calendar on the wall, and on one date, it owns a picture of Jack and Maddie on their wedding day pinned to May 9th, with arrows pointing to it and 'Happy Anniversary' written above it.*
Jack: *Still looks around cluelessly while trying to remember* 9th, 9th, 9th. 9th! 9th? Nope... Still not catching your drift
*Once he answers this honestly and scratches his head through the small voids of his mind until she decides to come out with it.*
Maddie: Our anniversary, dear? Oh well, I guess it just slipped your mind… *Shakes and bursts out in anger* for the eighteenth year in a row!
*The moment Maddie snaps at this, she slams her fist down on the end of the Specter Speeder, causing it to start up and shift into drive, making both Danny and Carrie surprised due to the fact that they're still inside.*
Danny: Huh?
*Suddenly, the vehicle flies forward, which makes the Fenton Portal open.*
Carrie: Oh, no! No! No! No!
*The duo closed their eyes in anticipation of impact and wrapped their arms around each other tightly, where soon, the Specter Speeder flew through the portal and into the Ghost Zone.*
Danny and Carrie: Whooooaaaa!
*The floating vehicle flies further into the Ghost Zone as they look around worriedly while still gripping tightly onto one another for dear life just to have a few ghosts swirl past the cockpit of the Speeder. Danny turns to look back at them, and suddenly, Carrie gasps loudly as the Specter Speeder approaches a large white ghost, who is most likely dressed as a prison warden, towers menacingly over it.
Hearing his partner's terrified reaction, Danny turns and screams when he notices the large ghost, and quickly brings the Speeder to a stop while Carrie buries her head into his shoulder, feeling all sorts of terror running through her nervous system.*
(?): Trespassing in an unauthorized vehicle. *Points* That's against the rules...
Carrie: *Nods frighteningly* O-Oh, uh, we-we're sorry, sir!
Danny: So sorry! *Shakes* W-We didn't know. We're from… out of town.
(?): Ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it, punks… I see both of your faces around here again, *Points at them* we're are gonna have problems.
Danny: *Salutes and laughs nervously* Y-Yes, sir.
Carrie: *Also salutes* We understand. *Grips Danny's arm and grits through teeth* …Uh, get us out of here, dude!
*Nodding his head, Danny shifts the Specter Speeder into reverse and it zooms backward as the white-skinned ghost dissipates. Soon, the vehicle flies all the way back and comes to a stop in its original spot in the basement lab, where Maddie is still currently yelling at Jack.*
Maddie: Now get this into your head, Jack Fenton, there are some things more important than hunting ghosts!
*She hits the back end of Specter Speeder again, but luckily, it didn't activate, and sends the two hybrids back into the Ghost Zone as they'd meet with that scary-looking ghost again, then stomps out of the laboratory, ashamed of what her husband had forgotten while a shaking Danny and Carrie get out of the invention to stand beside Jack.*
Jack: I know, I know. I'm just as freaked out by your mother's reaction as you are, son...
*If only that were the only scary thing they'd encountered as Carrie didn't seem bored anymore, no -- now; she was terrified alongside her best friend.*
*Moments later, outside of the Fenton Works household, a taxi pulls up to the curb, honking where it calls for Maddie who walks out the front door towards it, pulling a suitcase behind her which Jack is hanging onto and dragging behind, trying to stop her to no avail.*
Jack: Maddie, please, don't go! I just have a little more work to do on the Specter Speeder, and then I'm done.
Maddie: *In front of open taxi door* We discussed this, Jack, remember? Visiting my sister? The divorce? *Gets in the taxi and rolls down window* There's a casserole in the freezer right next to the ecto-plasmic residue samples!
*Maddie rolls the window back up and the taxi drives away, Jack stands up, watching her go until something occurs to his mind.*
Jack: Wait, wait, wait! *Starts running after taxi* How will I know which is which?!
*Just then, Danny and Carrie step out of the front door and look down the street which had the Fenton boy seem a little decked out about hearing the word 'divorce' from this argument.*
Danny: Divorce? What?! *Looks at Jazz Fenton walking out door past him* Jazz, did you just hear that?
Jazz: *Stops and turns back to look at her brother* Hear what? Mom yelling at Dad? Relax. She'll get over it.
Danny: Yeah, but I-I have never heard her so mad.
Jazz: Of course she's mad. And if I'm right, Dad will once again cluelessly do nothing to apologize to her.
*Suddenly, Jack quickly rushes back up to Fenton Works, owning a destined expression upon his face.*
Jack: That's where you're wrong, Jasmine. I have been a little preoccupied with ghosts lately.
*As he tells his two children (plus their friend this) a taxi suddenly shows up in front of the home.*
Jack: *Holding suitcase* So, I'm traveling to your Aunt Alicia's in Spittoon, Arkansas to apologize, and give your mother the greatest anniversary gift ever.
*After clarifying this, the Fenton man opens the taxi door and out of nowhere, throws his suitcase into the vehicle, causing it to hit the driver in the face, which made him take off down the street without his customer, Jack gasps at this sudden change and turns around to start running after his own taxi next.*
Jack: Wish me luck! Oh, and *Shouts from distance* CALL ME IF YOU SEE A GHOSTT!
*Once both parents were out of their sight, Jazz Fenton owned the facial expression between the mixture of flabbergasted and confusion by the outcome from this scene.*
Danny: Jazz? Are Mom and Dad gonna split up?
Jazz: *Suddenly self-doubting* I was… wrong?!
Danny: Jazz? *Pokes her* Jazz?!
Jazz: Wait. He's going to Arkansas? To apologize? I was wrong?!
Carrie: Is it bad to be wrong sometimes?
Danny: When you know someone like my sister -- yes.
*And for the first time ever, Jasmine Fenton felt herself debating on whether or not she was indeed wrong, so now, the auburn-haired girl found herself in the kitchen where the table was covered with dozens of her books, journals, and notes. She tosses aside one labeled, 'Jack Fenton Observations.' Jazz, looking frazzled, is shaking while holding a cup of coffee and looking at a stack of notes.*
Jazz: *Talking quickly* I don't understand. Every piece of evidence I have indicates Dad would never be self-aware enough to realize he made a mistake... *Puts down notes* If I'm wrong about this, what else could I have been wrong about? *Hears rattling in the living room and starts yelling* Danny, keep it down, would ya?!
*Before Carrie wanted to go home, she figured she could at least help Danny out with cleaning his house up a little while being in their phantom forms. And so, the duo were in his living room, where Danny was vacuuming up the wall, leaving Carrie to spray and wipe the ceiling down, then clean the dust and cobwebs next.*
Danny: Hey, thanks with Carrie's help, we're trying to make this place spotless so Mom will have a clean house to come home to.
Carrie: *Whispers loudly* She's coming!
*The moment Jazz rushes into the living room to yell at her brother, both younger teens land behind her and turn human while wearing suspicious smiles on their faces.*
Jazz: Well, I need to concentrate! *Turns to Danny* Ugh! *Turns to Carrie* Carrie, make sure he stays out of trouble! If you'll excuse me, I'll be at the library.
Carrie: *Puts hand on hips* What am I -- his babysitter?!
*Without saying another word, Jazz walks out, leaving the two younger teens to go ghost again and phase down into the lab to find it a mess while floating midair.*
Carrie: Whoa, uh, no offense, but your dad can be one, big slob...
Danny: Yeah, no kidding. This place is a mess! *Floats down a bit* If my mom comes back and sees the lab like this, she'll be even angrier at my dad.
Carrie: Well, with four hands, I'm sure we'll get this done quickly… *Cringes slightly at the mess* right?
*He sighs and points a finger to shoot a small blast of green ghost ray at a pile of trash, which knocks it into a trash can. A smile is pressed against Carrie's face as the two get an idea from the helpful use of their ghost powers. So, she is next to shoot her blue ghost ray at another pile of trash into another trash can. Together, they start to shoot blasts all over the lab to clean up and organize everything from beakers and boxes to chairs, books, and lab equipment.*
Carrie: Huh… And I spent all my years moving around to make sure my room is sparkly clean, *Looks at her blue-glowing hands* this is genius!
Danny: You said it, Care!
*However, near the end, he accidentally blasts a present into the open Fenton Portal, which causes them both to gasp as the tag is knocked off the present and left behind on the ground; Carrie goes over and picks it up, then begins to read it.*
Carrie: 'Let this gift repair the bridge to our love. Happy anniversary -Jack'?!
Danny: *Stares at portal, realizing the mistake he's made* Oh, no...
*Now, the next day at Casper High School, Danny and Carrie were walking down the hallway with their best friends, Sam Manson, and Tucker Foley, telling them what had happened between his parents, especially when one word could trigger Danny's anxiety due to losing the present as well.*
Danny: You should've seen 'em fighting. My folks never fight. Well, they fight ghosts, but… that's different.
Sam: *Puts hand on Danny's shoulder* Danny, relax. Nobody gets divorced over not getting a gift.
Carrie: Yeah, my folks are divorced, I mean, don't get the wrong idea for your mom, but mine had a pretty good reason for it, because…
*When informing her partner of the small context of why Joyce Mayth and Vlad Masters had gotten a divorce years ago, the blue-haired girl realized she said the word.*
Carrie: Ooo… *Sighs* Look, the point is, Sam's right, there's no way you're folks would put you and Jazz in this position, *Mutters* I hope…
Danny: But it's the thing my dad's gonna use to apologize! They're… right on the brink! I'm telling ya, anything could set them over the edge.
Tucker: Danny, you're fine. I mean, it's not like your mom actually said the word 'divorce.' I mean, if she actually said the word, then you'd have to worry.
Danny: Said the word… *Stops walking* Oh, man… *Starts to panic* She did! *Shouts* She said the word!
Sam: *Glares* Tucker, say something to calm him down!
Tucker: What? Care told us about her folks having one! But when I say it, it's terrible?!
Carrie: Yeah, well, the difference is, Foley -- mine are actually divorced! So I suggest you say something else to ease Danny's mind while you've got the chance!
Tucker: Okay! Well, uh… did she say it twice?
Danny: That settles it. *Grabs Carrie's wrist* We're going into the Ghost Zone and getting that present back.
*After declaring this, Danny drags Carrie away right before the female halfa can even debate on deciding to have this adventure back into that terrifying world of paranormal activities all around.*
*And now, later that day, when the school had ended, Danny stood as Danny Phantom with his partner, Carrie (unknown superhero name) in front of the portal with camera-microphone headsets on where Sam was standing next to them while Tucker was backed off near the side.*
Danny: *Sighs* I so don't want to do this.
Carrie: Me too, but unfortunately, *Punches his arm* I had to be dragged into it!
Danny: *Holds arm in pain* Hey, this type of mission is a two-man job! We're partners, we're supposed to go through this stuff together!
Carrie: Well, maybe I don't wanna end up lost in some sudden void that is most likely roaming around that place, dude!
Sam: *Cuts in* Okay! Listen, you guys get in, get the present, and get out. You'll both be fine.
Carrie: Oh, let's hope we will...
Tucker: *Holding his PDA* Besides, with this mini webcam, I'll be with you guys *Shows self on webcam* every step of the way. But first…
*Soon, the techno-geek's attention was brought to him playing a video game on his PDA, meaning he most likely wouldn't be monitoring his two best friends.*
Danny: *To Sam* You'll monitor the webcam?
Sam: *Bored* I'll monitor the webcam.
*With one last look, the duo nod and they now find themselves flying into the portal they go where through the webcam of their headsets, Sam is admired by the creepiness that suppresses around the Ghost Zone.*
Sam: *Through headset* Wow! This place is amazing!
Danny: No, it's not. It's creepy. And it goes on forever. I don't even know where to start to look!
Carrie: Me neither. But hopefully, the faster we look, the sooner we leave. *Holds herself* I can't take much more of this… *Glances at Danny* After all, even if we are part ghost, that's kind of worse!
*Not wanting to even reply to this, in Danny's green orbs, his eyes shift from upward to straight as clusters of purple doors flew right in before their paths. So he grabs hold of Carrie's arm and flies up them both toward one of them.
Once he opens the door, the inside of it reveals to be blue, and soon, their eyes are met with a small kid most likely watching something on his little TV while sitting on a rug, with a ghostly blue glow reflected off him. There are a couple of blocks on the floor with the letters X and Y on their faces.
Both halfas found themselves standing in the doorway, far behind the boy, but just when Danny closed the door, his eyes shifted towards the duo and back to whatever he was looking at.*
Danny: Uh… *Raises arm* Hi!
*Danny gives a weak chuckle while the boy from behind notices a boot in the foreground as it appears on the screen (which happens to be the Phantom boy himself) of his little TV that is only showing static, with three more blocks around him. There are shadows cast on the boy and the blocks, where there happens to be a lamp on the side that is plugged in.*
Carrie: *Grips Danny's arm and whispers* I have a bad feeling about this…
Danny: *Faces her* Sh! *Glances back at the boy* Uh, hav-have you seen a *Moves arms* present? *Eyes shift to the top-right corner* Um, about *moves arms again to show size* yea big?
*Still finding the boy's attention on the TV, it soon came to an end as he turned his head, having his side view facing left alongside a frown. As the TV static continues to play, out of nowhere, the boy turns his head the rest of the way to face Danny and Carrie without turning his body.*
Carrie: *Owns terrified expression* Uh, oh…
*Still sitting in the same position, most likely Indian-style -- the boy begins to snarl loudly at the sight of them.*
Little Boy Ghost: Get! *Stands up and takes a fighting stance* Out! *Transforms into a purple, spiny beast with red eyes. His voice becomes more coarse* Of! *Grows larger* My! *Now the size of the room is roaring in a deep voice. His arms are over them* ROOMMM!
*As the beast talks, Danny is standing his ground but his hair and face are blown back due to air resistance while Carrie hides behind him, feeling absolutely terrified by every second. The beast now puts down his arm and roars even more loudly as Danny looks up at him with his mouth gaping wide at this sight.*
Danny: Sorry! *Eyes become wider* SORRY!
Carrie: *Looks up and gasps* HOLY--
*Before the female halfa could finish that reaction, Danny grabs hold of her, and they run off in a puff of smoke following behind and dashes out the purple door still floating in a cluster, and slams it down, being back-to-back with it in terror.*
Danny: Oh, man…
Carrie: *Shudders* That's how all the little rugrats are in scary movies! *Exhales deep breath* Didn't think we'd ever face one of them in reality someday!
Danny: Yeah, well, every one of these doors goes into another ghost's lair?! I'm never gonna find that present. My folks are gonna get divorced and it's gonna be all my fault.
Carrie: *Puts hand on his shoulder* Hey, we can't give up yet. Sure, it'll take hours to check each door, but one of them has the present!
*While saying this with their backs still against the door, suddenly it starts to shift downward, and lands in some dark forest with some tombstones, so they jump off the door before it reaches the ground. Danny gasps quietly as his head turns to face the ground in front of him there are a few tombstones in the dirt.*
Carrie: W-What is this place?
Danny: A ghost cemetery? But, why would ghosts need a cemetery? They have the Ghost Zone.
*Suddenly, without those questions being answered, the tombstones began to rattle and some wailing was heard. Some glowing green skeletons pop out of the dirt, making both halfas look in fear towards the horrors that are the skeletons, soon, more of them pop up out of the ground, and some arms are about to grab them.
Carrie lets out a scream just for Danny to grab hold of her arm and fly them both away to slide over towards a door behind them, which tips over. The door then sinks away as the ghost boy is flying upward while gripping a hold of his partner; he lets go, and then they turn around and face forward.*
Sam: *On speaker* Relax, guys!
Carrie: *Terrifyingly annoyed* Oh, if you were in our position, you'd freak out, too, Manson!
Sam: Look, we all have to stay focused, right, Tucker?
*Back in their perspective from the laboratory, Sam is holding the PDA, and glances back at Tucker, hoping he's in focus.*
Sam: …Tucker?
*Near the Specter Speeder, the door is open overhead as Tucker is in the cockpit, crouched over, looking at the dashboard.*
Tucker: I can't believe they didn't want to take the Specter Speeder. *Presses the dashboard, which beeps* This thing rocks!
*The dark-skinned boy continues to press unseen buttons on the dashboard and play with the stick control. Sam then walks up next to the domed windshield of the speeder still holding the PDA.*
Sam: They can cover more ground on their own without it.
Tucker: But it's got a cup holder!
*He presses the button to reveal the large cup holder, which ejects with a whirring sound. Sam only looks at him overhead from this unreasonable point just when his turquoise-colored orbs spot something on the dashboard.*
Tucker: Hey, what's this thing on?
*And on the dashboard, there is a red button inside of a green, shapeless ghost. Tucker's finger comes up to push it, causing Sam to move over towards him, not sitting down, and examine what would happen once that button is pressed.*
Computer Voice:Real World items detected.
*As this is said, a green scope in the shape of a semicircle fans out, causing Tucker to jump back in his seat while Sam becomes eagerly surprised.*
Tucker: Cool! It's a scanner.
Sam: Real World items?
*The moment the two normal figures come across this extremely useful option, an idea hatched within their brains whereas meanwhile, back in the Ghost Zone, Danny and Carrie are in the back of the green tunnel, drifting forward closely together just for their best friends' voices to be heard once more.*
Tucker: *On speaker* Guys! I think we can guide you to the present.
Sam: There's a doorway coming up on your left. Take it.
*Though, noticing the door that's informed by the goth girl, they fly through it to end up in a room filled with numerous, familiar objects that they've appeared to have lost back in the past surrounding them.*
Danny: Huh. So this is where all that stuff ends up.
*Just then, a voice is heard from the distance, and this makes Carrie groan in annoyance as she instantly recognizes the obnoxious tone of the ghost he and Danny have fought multiple times before he reveals himself to be the one and only, Box Ghost.*
The Box Ghost: Yes! It all ends up in the possession of… *Looks up and moves clenches his arms in emphasis* THE BOX GHOST!
Danny: *Groans* Ugh, what are you doing here?
The Box Ghost: I am The Box Ghost! *Backwards and points forward* Where do you think we go *Clenches pointing hand into fist* when you two release us *Moves arms to show a cylinder with his hands* from your round, cylindrical traps?
Carrie: *Side eyes* I think he's referring to the Fenton Thermos?
Danny: Yeah, uh, *Glances at the Box Ghost* do you mean the Fenton Thermos?
The Box Ghost: *Waves arms* I am the Box Ghost! And beware! For I am merely- *Face thrusts forward for emphasis* -- 'ONE' of -- *Faces change back* your foes who reside in this realm! In fact, you both might say, *Comes closer* we're a package deal!
*Bending backward, the Box Ghost puts his arms in the air, and laughs proudly, thinking he had most likely given much effort towards the ridiculous joke as both teens weren't impressed by it at all.*
Carrie: Really? How long did it take for you to come up with that, Box Dupe?
The Box Ghost: *Points stern finger towards her* You will address me properly, Ghost Girl! For I am the Box Ghost--!
Danny: *Cuts in* Yeah! Yeah! We get it! Ugh, look, we're looking for something important, and we don't have time for your box puns.
*When he finishes, the Phantom boy clenches his fists, most likely ready for a fight alongside Carrie, until suddenly, sirens begin to wail, causing them to turn to the right, and find the source of where it's coming from.*
The Box Ghost: Flee! Lest you both be hermetically sealed *Turns head to them* and shipped to your doooms!
*Once the Box Ghost clarifies this warning, lasers are heard blasting all around them. And just when the blue-skinned ghost could scurry away, he is shot by a laser which suddenly traps his arms and legs in some type of green force field, restraining him from moving even further.*
Danny: Hey, what's going on?
*And the moment Danny asks this, a shriek is heard from Carrie as he turns to find his best friend shot by lasers, which quickly restrains her arms and legs next.*
Danny: Care!
*But just when Danny has this chance to try and free her, more lasers are zapping off in many directions, aiming for him lastly. Soon, one of them hits Danny, causing him to grunt in pain as the laser engulfs him and pushes him back, creating the same handcuffs that trap the weak Carrie and Box Ghost.
However, unexpectedly, that same voice both half-ghosts witnessed yesterday when they entered the Ghost Zone for the first is heard as it is revealed to be the same white-skinned ghost who let them off with a warning.*
(?): Possession of unauthorized recording equipment.
*He removes Danny's webcam first before confiscating Carrie's own next.*
(?): That's against the rules… Or at least it is… now.
*The white-skinned ghost looks down at the two hybrids with a large green-colored book in his hands.*
Danny: Wait! This is all a big misunderstanding!
Carrie: Sir, please, we're sorry, we broke your rules! We were just--
*Cutting the Mayth girl off, the large ghost crouches over them to talk in their faces sternly.*
(?): There may be chaos everywhere in this Ghost Zone, but there'll be order in my prison… You two should have heeded my warning. *Closer towards Danny's face* Now, you, your little girlfriend, and I are gonna have problems.
*Sitting across from Danny and the Box Ghost, Carrie didn't realize it, but her knee had been bouncing up and down nonstop ever since they were thrown into a van that reads, 'GZPD' which states for: Ghost Zone Police Department. She was filled with anxiety seeing as this was the first time ever she's been arrested, and what's worse; her and Danny are being taken to a Ghost Zone prison.*
Danny: Great. My folks are splitting up, my sister's a basket case, *Looks towards an anxious Carrie* and we're going to ghost jail, *To the Box Ghost* with you unfortunately. This is the worst day of my life.
Carrie: Let's hope it doesn't get even worse and they make you share a cell with him, dude.
Danny: *Shudders* Ditto...
*Finally, the van comes to a stop and a green-skinned police ghost opens the doors while holding a green pole. The three stand up, still restrained, and are met with more ghost officers. But what they didn't expect is that behind the guards was a center.
In that center are the ghosts both hybrid figures have fought their daily battles against during their times of figuring out their ghost abilities.
There he stood, Skulker wearing a prisoner's outfit where on the right is Desiree, and on the left is Technus in his robot body; all wearing prisoner's attire as well.*
Skulker: Well, if it isn't the two young whelps who helped us get locked up in this stinking place! *Smirks evilly* Welcome home.
Carrie: And I was wrong…
Danny: This is the worst day of my life.
The Box Ghost: I am the Box Ghost!
Danny and Carrie: *Yells* Will you stop that!?
*Meanwhile, back in the Fenton Works laboratory, Tucker is still in the cockpit of the Specter Speeder, radioing for the two half-ghosts who are currently trapped in the Ghost Zone and are most likely to be facing the terrible beat-down of a lifetime with their new cell-mates.*
Tucker: Danny? Carrie! Come on, guys! Talk to me!
*Sam runs from behind Tucker, grasping the seat next to him, realizing that they couldn't get through to their best friends.*
Sam: It's no use. They can't hear us.
Tucker: Then we'll just have to go in after them.
Sam: What are you nuts?
*Soon, the voice of Jasmine Fenton is heard from the top entrance of the basement, causing the duo in the Specter Speeder to crouch on their knees in hopes that the older teen will walk downstairs to find her little brother and friend aren't with them at all.*
Jazz: Danny! Are you done there? Carrie! Hello? You down there, too?
*In her hand, the auburn-haired girl held a book and opened it to examine her sentences.*
Jazz: I was hoping someone would go over every excruciating detail of my personal diaries to look for minuscule errors.
*Back downstairs, definitely not wanting to take this chance, Sam quickly adjusts herself in the seat, puts on her seatbelt, and faces Tucker whose hands are on the controls.*
Sam: You drive.
*Activating the Specter Speeder, Tucker thrusts forward, and both normal teens find themselves blasting off into the Fenton Portal just before Jazz rushes downstairs, owning a smile upon her face, looking giddy while the book is still occupied in her hands.
But the moment she reaches the last step into the basement, her eyes look around for signs of life, but now, they're met with nobody around.*
Jazz: Hm... I thought I heard someone down here. *She puts her arm that isn't holding the book on her waist* Oh, no… *Puts a finger to chin, then lifts arms, and starts crying* I was wrong again!
*Now, finding themselves in the concurrency of being thrown in ghost jail, both Danny and Carrie were sitting in a couple of chairs, wearing prison attire with shackles topping off their design as the warden ghost is going over the crimes they have committed while reading it off his book.*
Warden Ghost: Loitering... Creating a disturbance... *Stops and turns around, pointing a finger into the book* And, possession of real-world contraband.
*As he lists these off, Carrie's blue-colored eyes notice something floating towards them, so she clears her throat, gesturing to Danny to look toward that same direction. And once he did, his own green orbs were quick to catch the present where she tried to reach for it but failed due to the shackles around her wrists. This then gave him the opportunity in the attempt of grabbing it next, but unfortunately, also having to wear the shackles, he couldn't.*
Danny: Excuse me, sir, but-but--
*Suddenly, the warden ghost grabs him by the shirt.*
Warden Ghost: Name's Walker, son. Know it. Fear it. Obey it. *Points stern finger towards Carrie* And that goes for you, too, sweetheart. I am your judges, executioners, juries, executioners, jailers, and if necessary -- your executioners.
Danny: Uh, you said 'executioners' three times.
Walker: *Drops Danny on his seat and turns to the front* I like that part of the job.
Carrie: Yeah, I can tell, you said it three times.
Danny: *To Walker* Well, you see, uh, Mr. Walker, uh, the truth is… *Grabs his chair* M-My partner and I are actually trying *Walks off with the chair* to remove the contraband. So, um, if I could just grab it and go, *Chuckles nervously and stands up to grab the present* I promise, we'll--
*Obviously, noticing what the male halfa is planning, Walker runs over and pulls Danny's seat back down with his leg, causing the chair to fall to the floor.*
Walker: *Puts hand on Danny's chair* I'd like to let you and her go, son, but… *Crouches down beside him* I can't.
*He then stands upright and turns away from the hybrids with the book back in his hands again.*
Walker: That'd be against the rules. But seeing how this… *Turns to Danny* …is a first offense. I'm willing to be lenient. *Closes book, turns around, and points finger at them, shouting* 1,000 years!
Danny and Carrie: *Shocked* What?!
Danny: A thousand years?! You can't be serious?!
Carrie: Please, sir, you can't! We're only here to grab that present, we never meant for any of this to happen!
Walker: On the contrary, sweetheart… *Crouches next to her* you did. I gave you two a warning and you instantly disobeyed it…
Danny: We're sorry, l-look if you let us go, we promise, we won't ever come back into the Ghost Zone!
Walker: Oh, I doubt that sincerely, son. *To the ghost guards* Get these prisoners out of my sight!
*Saluting to their warden's demand, four ghost guards move towards their new prisoners and a couple each escort them out of Walker's interrogation chamber.*
Carrie: *Struggles against their hold* You can't do this! We have so much to live for!
Danny: Yeah, and don't we at least get a phone call?! I have to get in touch with a super-professional human lawyer!
*After saying this, Carrie glares at the Phantom boy seeing as apparently, the super-professional human lawyer he was referring to is none other than Joyce Mayth herself. Noticing his best friend's expression (especially when being overprotective towards her mother) Danny shrugs his shoulders nervously.
However, instead of being escorted into their prison cells, reports have been heard that it was now lunchtime, so both teens were guided to the Ghost Zone prison's cafeteria.*
Police Ghost: Chow it!
*Luckily, being free from the large shackles around their wrists, it gave them easier access to walk. Finding themselves standing by the doorway of the room, there are a couple more police ghosts -- identical to the others behind them.*
Police Ghost: *Shoves Danny and Carrie with a pole* You two, move it.
*As they walk further into the cafeteria, there are a few tables, each one occupied by six ghosts while two ghosts are at the food line with one ghost behind the counter, and there are two police ghosts guarding the entrance with four more of them guarding from the balcony above. Suddenly, a certain table catches Carrie's eyes as she grips Danny's shirt and tugs on it.*
Carrie: Uh… Danny…?
*Pointing her finger, Danny looks toward the direction of the table the phantom girl's eyes were glued to as it occupies four ghosts -- four of whom they've fought in general, and they were Skulker, Desiree, Technus, and the Ghost Box, all seated together.*
Danny: *Weak chuckle* Wow, heh, pretty much everyone who hates us all at one table. Just like high school…
Carrie: You said it…
*Everyone then stands up and walks toward the halfas, ready for a sweet relief of sweet revenge as Technus grasps his fist in his hand soon, the four foes begin to partially surround them on the front side, with Technus on Danny's left, then Desiree on Carrie's right while the Box Ghost was on her left, leaving Skulker his right as well.*
Danny: *Holding an arm out in front of Carrie* Sorry we can't stay and catch up on old times, guys, we, uh--
*With both teens slowly stepping away from the quartet ghosts, soon, their backs were met with the food line where the moment they turned to see who would be serving all the lunches; it was no surprise in Carrie's eyes because it was none other than the Lunch Lady Ghost herself.*
Lunch Lady Ghost: Can I get anything, dears? Coffee? Pudding? *Reverts to evil self* AN EXTRA HELPING OF DOOM!?!
*Danny lets out a shout, then pulls the ghost girl in front of him as a (temporary) human shield since the Lunch Lady Ghost happens to be the first ever villain they've encountered after the accident.*
Carrie: *Facepalms* Oh, come on! Still pissed off about the whole 'changing the menu' thing?!
Lunch Lady: *Angrily hovers over Carrie* THANKS TO YOU, GHOST CHILD, THE MENU SHALL NEVER BE THE SAME AFTER ALL THE HARD WORK I'VE PUT INTO IT!
Carrie: *Shouts and hides behind Danny next* I guess so…
*Grabbing hold of her hand, Danny flies them forward, wanting to get away from the crowd of their enemies without paying attention. However, just when he could see what he was doing, Danny suddenly collided with Skulker, causing him to release his grip on Carrie as she dropped onto the floor just for Desiree to trap the blue-eyed girl in her arms.*
Carrie: *Struggles against Desiree's hold* Let me go! Or… I'll wish for it!
Desire: *Laughs evilly* Silly, girl... Your most desirable wishes won't be able to work in the Ghost Zone!
*While Carrie continues struggling, she watches helplessly as Danny gets bumped into one ghost who then tosses him at Technus, causing him to collide head-first against the techno-ghost's body. Soon, using his bulky robotic arms, Technus slaps Danny away for the Lunch Lady Ghost to finally catch him as she puts him in a headlock with her ladle.*
Carrie: Guys, come on! Can't we work something out!?
*Ignoring her question, Skulker walks towards Danny as one fist is grabbed by the other hand, making a metallic clang sound, ready to throw a hardcore punch right in the Phantom boy's face.*
Skulker: Payback time, Ghost Children.
Danny: *Thrusts his arm forward* Wait! *Arms retract back to the ladle* We're not the enemies here. I mean, yeah, *Gestures hand to Carrie, smiling nervously* we sent you all back to the Ghost Zone, but I didn't lock you up here, did I?
The Box Ghost: It is true! *Points finger* He and the Ghost Girl did not package us in this box of iron! *Lifts arm up and points upward* I am the B--
*Just before he could finish his prideful cheer of reminding those of his name, he is interrupted as a metal arm pushes him away, and that hand belongs to none other than Skulker, where Carrie sighs in relief that he did it.*
Carrie: Thank you, that was getting extremely annoying!
Skulker: *Faces them* Go on...
Danny: If we work together we could all bust out of here. *Outstretched arms* And you could always kick our butts later.
Carrie: Yeah, I mean, it is a win-win for all of us after all, right?
Skulker: The enemies of my enemies are my friends… for now.
Carrie: I'll take it!
*Desiree and the Lunch Lady Ghost release the two halfas from their grips, but due to Danny not being in perfect balance, he falls to the ground, where Carrie instantly rushes over and helps him up.*
Danny: Okay, here's what we do...
*Meanwhile, somewhere around the Ghost Zone, a scope light illuminates the path ahead for Tucker and Sam as they are still in search of their two best friends who are unfortunately nowhere to be seen whereas the techno-geek is pressing buttons on a device in his hand which was showing a transverse wave on its screen.*
Sam: *Sighs* Face it, Tucker. We're lost.
Tucker: If I could just re-calibrate the scanner--
Sam: You put way too much faith in technology.
*As the gothic figure said this, she noticed a girl slowly floating past them.*
Sam: Let's just get out and ask that girl for directions… *Waves hand* Hello there!
*However, when calling for the girl, it appears to be the same woman Danny and Carrie have fought due to the whole amulet-Paulina situation when the school dance had happened. There she stops, Princess Dora notices Sam's call in hopes she could be a help and direct both humans towards their best friends, but then, something triggers her as the blonde-haired ghost starts to glow and kneel down before transforming into that same blue dragon, which makes the Manson teen clutch tightly onto Tucker who is clutching the controls as well.*
Dorathea(as a dragon): *Deep, hoarse voice and faces the speeder* I WANT TO GO TO THE BALLLL!
Sam: Drive, Tucker! *Grabs Tucker's shirt* Drive!
*And without hesitation, Tucker's hands push the control forward, causing some beeps to be heard, and quick as a flash, the ghost vehicle zooms away with green flame while the dragon changes direction to face the other way, flying off.*
*Now, currently back at the Ghost Zone prison cafeteria, a crowd of prisoners gather around the two halfas as their operation: Ghost Prison Break is a go, where during the chanting of 'fight' while their arms are raised with pride, some punches are heard, they see Danny being flung out of the crowd and flies right toward a table.
He slides through many trays that still have gelatinous tan food on them, and a glass of green liquid. Soon, the ghost boy finds himself colliding with a large pot, causing it to tip over and smother him everywhere. As Danny slowly gets up, he begins to say the words that could get any ghost into the infirmary, but that isn't where he's going…*
Danny: *Fakes pain* Ohhh… My ghost leg!
*Across from the pot is a couple of prisoners Skulker pushes his way through them with his grip on the bandit of Carrie's prisoner shirt and is ready for her dramatic scene next.*
Skulker: Phft! One of my preys ceases to amuse me. *Glares at Carrie* Let's hope you could do the same, Ghost Girl.
Carrie: Oh, don't worry, as soon as we're free, you've got a big fight to deal with me, Skulk-Freak.
*After sending him a quick salute, with all his mighty strength, Skulker throws Carrie, sending her screaming towards Danny as it seemed like this wasn't part of their script, he lets out a yell from his partner's sudden incoming where soon, both halfas are met colliding against each other into the large pot.*
Carrie: Ohh... My ghost arm! *Holds arm and glares at Skulker* Seriously? You had to throw me that hard!?
Skulker: Think of it as a comeback from your insult, dear child.
*Finally, two police ghosts show up to find their new prisoners on the ground.*
Police Ghost: A couple more for the infirmary.
*And just when they fly up towards each half-ghost teen, Danny flies up and punches one of them while Carrie follows, doing the exact same thing, making both police ghosts fly off to the side as they quickly grab their green sticks.*
Danny: Now!
*Danny then tosses his stick toward Skulker who successfully catches it as he stands in front of a large crowd of other prison ghosts.*
Skulker: Attack!
*Once the signal had been called, every prisoner behind him began to run. Two of them deck a police ghost against the wall while another does the same. On the left of their small fight, a couple were currently wrestling another guard whereas soon, one guard falls to the floor and a prisoner wrenches off its helmet/mask, which reveals an ugly face with warts, crooked teeth, and facial hair.
The prisoner's fingers move to his chin as he screams in fear at the guard's face, rushing away in a puff of smoke while others are still rioting and wrestling.
Standing at the deck, Carrie tosses the green pole that belonged to the guard she stole off of towards Skulker, and he successfully catches that one as well. Outstretching his arms, the ghost-hunter shoots out three lasers from left to right.
Meanwhile, in Technus' current position, two guards suddenly grab him from both sides of the techno-ghost's robotic body to which he manages to lift them up and thrust them off.
Just when the two guards Technus fought off, they flung into a counter to where Desiree was waiting as the genie ghost floated from up behind, grabbed two buckets that were on the counter, and slammed them over their heads, making her fly away owning a victorious smile.
Watching from a distance, Carrie cheers her nemesis on while throwing a punch towards the guard's face that was rushing at her from behind.*
Carrie: Alright, Desiree!
*Soon, through Danny's point of view, the ghost boy is in a fighting stance before leaping onto a table. He soon jumps off, and flies over a prisoner and a guard that were fighting, then lands on the next table, and does a backflip off it.
Danny now finds himself back-to-back with Skulker as they're surrounded by five guards pointing their sticks at them. The two share a glance from behind and a wink (while Skulker gives a thumbs up) before they take huge leaps and give battle cries.
After taking care of those first few guards, Danny turns around as he sees six guards blocking the doorway, where each hand holds a green pole while the other - a shield. Now, all of them shoot out lasers from their poles, making each blast hit around six prisoners.
Finding themselves a bit outnumbered due to having no sticks now, the three leading the prison break glance at one another, wondering who the guards will be aiming for next. But that came to an end once the Lunch Lady Ghost floats above them.*
Lunch Lady Ghost: *Sweetly* Can I offer you gentlemen some apples?
*Two of the guards look at each other before shaking their heads, declining the offer, but no matter what answer they give, that dear, sweet ghost won't have its innocent act on for long as her eyes grew evilly (alongside her hair) and tone change of voice.*
Lunch Lady Ghost: THEN DINE ON MY FURYY!
*Suddenly, clenching her hands together, lightning erupts from them. At first, Carrie thought it would be a sword or some sharp tool, but due to being a lunch lady, her own weapon was a large chicken drumstick.*
Carrie: *Astonished and whispers to Danny* Okay, now I kind of regret changing the menu…
*Many guards run out of the cafeteria, yelling at the large sight of meat cradling within the Lunch Lady Ghost's hands before it comes crashing through the wall, making large chunks of it and bricks fall everywhere alongside some smoke.
Now, all seven ghosts that were on a temporary truce rush out of the now destroyed cafeteria and towards the double doors where freedom awaits, yet it was blocked by some guards which was no problem for Skulker himself as he shot out lasers, instantly getting them restrained.
But Danny and Carrie weren't done with this mission yet, and so both halfas were about to run in the other direction until Skulker's voice was heard, stopping them.*
Skulker: You two are going the wrong way!
Lunch Lady Ghost: *Innocently* Yes, sweeties. You both are supposed to be here rioting with the guards here… *Becomes demonic* AND FACE YOUR DOOMS OUT THEREE! *Reverts back to nice and innocent* Pie?
Danny: No, thanks. We have some unfinished business with the warden.
Carrie: Yeah, and don't worry, lady, there will be plenty of time for you to express your anger towards me for changing the…
*Just when she could finish that sentence, Danny quickly stops his partner by covering her mouth, practically not wanting to pick a fight while they were still on a temporary truce.*
Danny: Quiet, or she'll break the truce! But like I said, there's something we need to take care of with him.
Lunch Lady Ghost: *Shrugs shoulders* Okay.
*Watching the Lunch Lady Ghost fly away, it was Skulker's turn to bid his temporary farewell.*
Skulker: Good luck, children. I look forward to hunting you two, on the other side.
Danny: *Gets Carrie go* Thanks… *Becomes confused* I think? Come on, *Grabs her hand* we have to grab the present and get out of here fast.
*However, just when she could agree to that term, suddenly, the blue-eyed ghost girl became extremely weak as she held her head.*
Carrie: *Groans softly* Wait, I-I don't feel so…
*When announcing this, Carrie falls to her knees and transforms back to her human self.*
Danny: Care! *Places hands on Carrie's shoulders* You okay? Can you walk?!
Carrie: Yeah, I'm fine... *Holds arm* I'm just really tired, that's all.
Danny: Don't worry, I'll get us out of here then.
*He helps the now-human Carrie stand, wraps her arm around his shoulder, and then flies them both down the halls.*
*Just then, around the Ghost Zone, in the cockpit of the Specter Speeder, Sam and Tucker found themselves wearing seat belts after having to flee from the dragon that is Princess Dorathea. While Tucker is clutching the controls, Sam's arms are pressed to the back of her seat.*
Sam: Can't this tub go any faster? *Hugs herself* I hope Carrie's okay!
Tucker: I'm trying! *Side eyes* And we're also looking for Danny, too, remember?
*On the outside of the Specter Speeder, it is a diagonal where behind it was that same large dragon. The creature shrieks, causing the vehicle to change sides to the right while the blue-scaled ghost makes its way towards the left. During the attempts of wanting to cut the dragon off, a scope comes up in front of Tucker.*
Computer Voice: Real-world items detected.
Tucker: Sweet.
*Though, through the exciting tone of his voice, the Foley boy owns a fearful expression as he clutches the controls while Sam is pressing her arms to the back of the seat where soon, her purple orbs caught notice of something really large they're heading towards; and that would be the prison.*
Sam: Tucker! Look out!
*Without having the time to dodge the large building, the speeder suddenly phases through the doors, which leaves Dragon-Dorathea to come face-to-face with them as they make it inside the jail.*
Tucker: File that on under, *Turns to the right* 'Would've been nice to know we could do that trick in the first place.'
*Throughout the prison break, Walker was cooped up in his office, hunched over his desk with fists clenched holding onto the rulebook all while talking on a PA microphone, trying to signal his henchmen, and wondering what was happening out there.*
Walker: Guards, what's going on down there? Somebody answer me!
*Luckily, an answer was going to be given to him when an unexpected kick sent both metal doors open, revealing Danny Phantom holding onto his weak partner, Carrie in their regular outfit/hazmat suit.*
Danny: How about saying, 'please'? Saying 'please' is a rule.
Walker: It is?
*Advising Carrie that she should stay back, the blue-haired girl did so, as she watched the warden ghost turn through some pages from his rulebook, lick his finger, ready to pinpoint where it could be in any of the sections, (which is most likely impossible) but is cut off short as Danny slams the book with his finger shut.*
Danny: It is now. *Notices present* The present!
*He quickly leaps forward, ready to grab the present until when he's a few inches away from it, Walker stops him by grabbing his leg, stopping the Phantom from flying even further towards it.*
Walker: Now, let me acquaint you with a few rules. *Throws Danny on the ground* Rule one, *Crouches down* you cross me, you pay the consequences.
*As the white-skinned ghost starts listing this off, he applies pressure towards Danny's chest by putting his boot on him.*
Walker: Rule two… Just because you're a ghost doesn't mean I can't crush you, *Glares towards a weak Carrie* or your little girlfriend within an inch of your afterlife.
Danny: Okay, first of all, for your information: she's not my girlfriend. And second--
Walker: *Cuts him off* Rule three--
*Not being the only one to cut others off, but just in the nick of time, the Specter Speeder phases right through the wall where Tucker is met with Danny, still holding the controls while Sam notices Carrie slouched against the wall.*
Danny: Tucker, Sam! How'd you guys get in here?
Tucker: Check it out! Real-world stuff just phases through everything in here.
*While he explained this, Sam hurriedly rushed out of the vehicle to help Carrie onto it.*
Sam: In the Ghost Zone, we're the ghosts!
Danny: *Repeats* We're the ghosts…? *Gets an idea* So… maybe it's time to stop fighting like a ghost… *Smirks* And start fighting like a kid!
*He outstretched his arms and legs, then transformed back to his human form, which caused Walker's foot to sink right through him. Danny gets up and makes his way towards the floating present.*
Danny: I'll take that!
*Once the present is secure, Walker tries to grab Danny only to have his arms pass through him.*
Walker: Why! Can't! *Tries, but fails* I! Touch! *Lunges at Danny* You!?
Danny: Forget it, Walker. This is the Ghost Zone, I'm not just a ghost, I'm human. Your rules don't apply… And if Care had enough energy, she'd show this example, too.
Walker: NOOOO!
*Without saying another word, Danny grabs hold of the Specter Speeder from behind while Carrie is seated inside of it, and soon, all four teens are phasing through the walls, happily knowing that they'd accomplished their mission by not just finding his parents' anniversary present, which could rebuild their relationship, but being free from spending all entirety in a ghost prison.*
