Rainer and the others arrived in a world where the sky was painted as red as blood.

"Nothing's gonna top that universe." Remarked Cake cheerfully.

"Best nap of my life." Added Simon with a smile.

Giving kids rides on my back is fun. Rainer wrote on his magic tablet and showed everyone as his tail wagged back and forth happily before Simon's pocket started smoking.

"Your pocket's smoking." Said Fionna tiredly as she walked away despondently.

Rainer watched as Cake followed Fionna with a worried look before an odd smell assaulted his nose. It just smelled off, that was the most Rainer could describe it. He smelled himself, but that wasn't it. He smelled his friends and that wasn't it either. He tried finding its source, but it was a little bit everywhere. But it was concentrated at...where a few vampires stood menacingly.

Rainer's eyes widened as the rest of his group noticed the bloodsuckers as well. The vampires gave them one last look before pouncing their way like animals hunting their prey.

"Vampires! Run!" Exclaimed Simon in a panic as he and Fionna ran away.

Cake stood her grounds ready to fight, but Rainer...he hesitated. He wasn't one for fighting off his own accord, but he then turned to Simon who was trying his best to make a stake out of a chair to fight. And so, for once, Rainer didn't even try to fight the voice that screamed "win" in his mind. He agreed with it.

Rainer dashed towards one of the vampires as he transformed into his monster werewolf form before slicing up one of the vampires into dust with one slash of his claws. Just as he was about to do the same to the other vampires, Cake made her mouth larger and bit the rest of the vampire's heads off in one chomp.

"Great job, Rainer." Said Simon cheerfully as he patted Rainer on the back. "Glad to see you're doing better. Just don't push yourself too hard. Life isn't all about fighting."

Rainer smiled and nodded as his tail wagged happily at the praise. Simon saw this and smiled as well. It was like a positive father and son moment to an extent. Perhaps that was what Simon was going for.

"That was awesome!" Exclaimed Cake cheerfully.

"No! I almost got ate! This world's scary!" Exclaimed Fionna in fear as she hugged herself.

Simon frowned. "It reminds me of the wastelands of Ooo before Marceline took on the vampires there." He said dejectedly.

Suddenly, the whole group heard hissing and turned to its source before seeing a group of vampires staring them down. Rainer saw this and quickly transformed into a giant wolf, ready to bite down any of these vampires as Cake dashed towards them recklessly.

But as Rainer was about to do the same he smelled something familiar, VERY familiar and suddenly stopped in his tracks. Cake, who didn't stop, was subjected to a splash of water that somehow killed all the vampires.

Simon approached the water and quickly discerned what it was via taste. "Holy water." He muttered before a peppermint colored tank suddenly approached them.

The tank's cannon pointed at their faces, ready to fire as a voice told them "show me them teeth" and everyone did so.

"No vamps. Just dum-dums, ma'am." Said the tank's voice. "And a werewolf."

Suddenly, the tank's side door sprung open before someone with a gas mask walked out. "You left yourselves vulnerable out there." They said as they removed their gas mask to reveal what looked to be a Princess Bubblegum who has been in too many wars. "Buncha death wishers. Especially the stray werewolf."

As Bonnie approached Cake asking her to aid her in a mission, Rainer couldn't help but wonder what she meant by "stray" and there still was this familiar smell. But all the answers appeared once Rainer saw HER on a rooftop. Once Bonnie saw this person, she glared at them with the force of a thousand Suns.

"Werewolf Queen." Remarked Bonnie angrily.

Everyone turned to the rooftops too see what looked to be a slightly shorter Rainer with long hair and a red cloak covering her body. They couldn't even take in her existence for too long before she suddenly disappeared and reappeared next to them. Although anyone else would chalk it up to teleportation, Rainer's eyes were able to pick up what actually happened.

That's the same thing the rattleballs did. He couldn't help but think as he stared at his hands. I can do that with these small claws?

Before Rainer could think of anything else, their eyes locked causing both werewolves to freeze in shock. "You're...me?" Signed the Werewolf Queen while blinking in surprise.

"I...think?" Rainer signed back before the two's hands stopped making signs.

The silence was deafening and Cake wasn't having that. "Make out already!" She exclaimed.

The Werewolf Queen ignored the magic cat and started signing again. "You're an inexperienced fighter. It's dangerous. I'll take you somewhere safe."

Rainer made an x with his arms and shook his head before pointing at Simon, Fionna and Cake. Seeing the three characters, the Werewolf Queen slowly nodded in understanding before she opened her mouth and whistled. Responding the whistle were two werewolves. A why-wolf in a suit with a tie and glasses and a hug-wolf wearing a nice orange sweater and blue pants.

"What's the meaning of this?" Asked Bonnie glaring at the werewolves.

The Queen signed something to the why-wolf who turned to Bonnie and spoke. "It seems that we'll be joining your party. Hope you don't mind."

All Bonnie could say to that was..."Fine".

A long long time ago

Inside a hospital in a seemingly normal world there layed a white haired, pale skinned baby unlike any other. Her name was Raina.

Unlike the other babies in the hospital, she didn't cry or even make the slightest of noise. She barely even moved. All she did was stare eeriely at the ceiling as she recalled a past life. A depressing life devoid of joy or purpose that ended prematurely.

Raina had already given up on life, so being given a second chance by some magic wolf only felt daunting. She never expected that this new life would give her a new level of hatred for life.

Her new parents were not kind to a child as odd as her. And when the werewolfism started kicking in, it only got worse. Now stuck between a terrible life and an unreachable death, she decided to run away from that house. But it would be a shame if an apocalypse started around that time, wouldn't it? And not just any apocalypse, it was the one from adventure time and alternate one where vampires took over. She was in a worse reality of her favorite show. Fan-flippin-tastic.

However, with her new werewolf traits she managed to make life comfortable for her. Slicing up Oozers and the rampant vampires and eating whatever she could find. Then IT happened. A starving man was begging her for help. At first, she coldly ignored him. She didn't trust people. They only treated like garbage. But the man continued to beg and so in a fit of frustration, she bit the man's shoulder and he transformed into a why-wolf that was completely subservient to her.

Seeing this transformation, Raina had an epiphany. If she couldn't have her death and in life people would always mistreat her, why couldn't she just make her own world with HER people. A society of werewolves where no one will be mistreated the way she was. A safe place. A happy place.

And that was how Raina the Werewolf Queen was born.

Present time, Inside Bonnie's tank.

What do you mean I'll have to go back to being a kid? Rainer signed to Raina in confusion. He had told her about why they were here and what they were going after.

Once the magic returns to your world, the backstories will have to realign. Raina signed back calmly. Since I've had to restart from a baby, you will too.

Rainer glanced at Simon with a dejected frown. Will his time on this adventure be thrown out the window after it's over? Will it be forgotten or overwritten? The mere thought made him shiver.

"Hey, whatcha guys taking about?" Asked Fionna curiously as she plopped her head between the two werewolves only to be met with no reply.

"Don't bother. Werewolves aren't the helpful kind." Said Bonnie with a deep frown as she glared at Raina.

"Why's that?" Asked Simon in surprise.

Martin Mertens who Rainer identified as the alternate version of Finn's dad answered the question. "Because the werewolves are thriving while leaving everyone else to their own fates. They're building farms, have electricity, modern architecture. I heard they even have therapists out there. They're almost living in a whole different world." He said as he stood next to huntress, the alternate version of Huntress Wizard.

The why-wolf next to Raina seemed very proud to hear that. His tail was wagging happily. "Why-wolves make good scientists and hug wolves can be taught to be great therapists." The why wolf spoke calmly as he adjusted his glasses. "Other breeds are good at other stuff. But one can choose a job other than their specialty."

Bonnie scoffed. "And when anyone enters their walled garden, they either have to become one of them or be thrown out." She added to Martin's words angrily. "Selfish beasts."

Simon frowned as he heard this. He glanced at Rainer with a sad expression. Rainer thought it was impressive, but it was also iffy that she was letting people die. However...he understood why she was doing it. He would've done the same without hesitation if he was in her place. If he didn't go on this multiversal adventure.

"Man, all the you's are so...seclusiony." Fionna broke the silence with a wince.

But I am too. Thought Rainer closing his eyes and zoning out for a while as he took everything in. The thing that bugged him the most was the possibility of a restart. Can he really handle a blank slate in such an environment?

Interrupting his thoughts was baby Finn popping out of Fionna's backpack. But that was just one distracting bump in a flat road of fears.

Later as Bonnie's tank continued to move forwards.

As Fionna asked a lot of odd questions about vampires, Rainer was curled up into a ball in some corner thinking both about how his alternate version was letting people die and that he could turn out like her in the future. Simon sensed this worry and approached Rainer with a kind smile.

"Hey, what's on your mind. You look pretty distressed." Said Simon sitting next to Rainer causing the werewolf Prince to whimper. "Aww, c'mon. You can tell me. I won't judge."

Rainer turned to Simon and signed his worries to the antiquarian. Simon nodded to Rainer's words as he took them in.

"A restart, huh?" Said Simon with a smile. "I think you'll do great."

But what if I forget everything here? What if I forget what you said? Signed Rainer dejectedly. What if I turn out bad?

"You won't. None of the you's we've met or heard about so far were bad. Even Raina over there isn't that bad. She just wants to stay alone with people she could trust." Said Simon gesturing towards the Werewolf Queen who was snoozing on the shoulder of the hug wolf before putting a hand on Rainer's back. "And that's what you need to find after that reset, people to trust. Good people. It doesn't have to be many. Maybe one person, maybe two, maybe more. And I bet you'll find the kindest, most remarkable people to trust after I'm gone. I mean, you already have Fionna and Cake."

Rainer couldn't help but smile at Simon's reply. Simon's words gave him confidence he never knew he could have. He couldn't feel as if all of this was a cartoon anymore and that felt good.

Interrupting his thoughts was Bonnie's tank stopping in its tracks for a couple stragglers. While Bonnie was against helping them, Fionna was totally for it. She opened the door and jumped out to help them with Martin following her shortly.

Rainer however smelled something off. The same smell from before when they first saw those vampires. Which really only meant one thing.

Rainer quickly jumped out of the tank and was met with the scene of Fionna and Martin standing in front of two vampires. Rainer quickly dashed towards one of the vampires and sliced them up by transforming only his arms and hands into their monster werewolf form as Bonnie's tank retreated into a trap, causing everyone inside to exit the vehicle.

The other vampire who was attacking Fionna was swiftly taken care of by Martin. But Rainer still smelled vampires about. Then he heard HER laugh.

"Did you like my welcome?" Asked Marceline cheerfully as she looked down on everyone from the sky.

"It's the star!" Exclaimed Bonnie angrily, glaring at Marceline.

"Marceline." Muttered Simon in shock as he held baby Finn. Rainer was in equal shock as he remembered ice Marceline and how nice she was. Raina and her group merely watched in silence.

Evil Marceline laughed once again before dashing towards Fionna with the intent to kill her. Martin noticed this and quickly pushed her out the way. Marceline saw this and opened her mouth to suck the soul out of Martin before she was tackled by white furred, red eyed wolf who quickly turned back into Rainer.

"If it isn't one of the dogs." Said Marceline with a smirk as she stared at Rainer. "Do you know any tricks? Maybe...PLAY DEAD!?" She finished before her face distorted into that of a monster and tried to suck Rainer's soul out.

Luckily, for some reason, the soul sucking was far weaker against Rainer. This allowed the werewolf Prince to leap onto Marceline for an attack by transforming his arms and hands only into the monster werewolf form. Marceline made her hands larger to catch Rainer's.

The rolled on the ground as each tried to attack the other. Bite, slash, slash, bite, bite, slash, bite, slash. Although each managed to land a few successful slashes, neither could land the bite that would end the battle. The rest of Rainer's group watched trying to figure out what to do to help.

"What do we do now?" Asked Martin worriedly as Simon watched in horror as two beings he considered his kids battled to the death.

"Open fire!" Exclaimed Bonnie in a serious tone as her tank's cannons started firing stakes and garlic bombs the moment Marceline was on top of Rainer.

However, Marceline saw this coming and immediately rolled with Rainer putting him on top and in the way of a wooden stake that lodged itself deep into the side of his back before kicking him away and dashing into the sky.

Rainer ignored what started happening between Marceline and Bonnie to inspect the wooden stake in his back. It hurt, but it felt akin to a splinter. He was more concerned about the shirt he wore which now had a tear on the side. Luckily, no blood.

"Leave it in! If you take it ou-" Exclaimed Martin before he noticed Rainer's back was crushing the stake as it regenerated back to normal as if nothing had happened. "-Or you can just do that. That's fine."

Rainer walked back with Martin to the destroyed tank and zoned out as a new plan was made. Cake was their new tank and Fionna was their new Martin as the man was chosen to stay with baby Finn in the old tank. She was even given his jacket.

The Werewolf Queen couldn't help but frown as she saw all of this unfold. As she saw a version of herself help someone who wasn't a werewolf. It was a sad frown.

Regardless, they were ready to head to the lair of the Vampire King.

Due to Bonnie's distrust towards the Werewolves, Rainer and Raina and her crew were to stay out of the way. Other than that, the plan was simple. Riddle the vampire hive with garlic bombs to drive all the vampires out and huntress knocks off the ice crown off VK's head so all the vamps would burn in the light.

It was supposed to be simple. But the Vampire King proved too much for Huntress as he burst out of the hive with her dead with her own arrows in his arms.

"Nice try, meat." Said Marceline cheerfully as she popped out from behind the vampire king.

"Star!" Exclaimed Bonnie angrily as she pulled out a stake launched before evil Marcy tackled her down.

Meanwhile, the rest of the gang was left to face the king of vampires. Raina and her group waited intently, unaffected by everything that was going on.

Rainer tried to pounce at VK as he monologued, but stopped mid air due to VK's telekinesis.

"A rude puppy? You look like that coward queen." Asked VK nonchalantly as he began choking Rainer to death telekinetically.

"Rainer!" Exclaimed Simon in horror as he watched Rainer writhe in pain.

Rainer quickly transformed into his wolf form and out of VK's grasp. He wasn't confident he could take on his, but he had to try.

"Rainer! Come back!" Exclaimed Simon in a serious tone, making the werewolf hesitate to attack VK.

And so, Rainer begrudgingly jumped back to Simon and Fionna who were trying to hold Cake from trying to take the crown off of VK. Rainer quickly helped them which only served for them to get discovered by VK quicker.

Rainer saw VK glare at him and panicked before he and his friends were teleported away to another universe.

"Oh, I've seen a new thing." Said VK in surprise before he noticed Marceline and Bonnie falling off the hive. "Baby girl!" He said before roaring for the vampires to help his daughter.

Watching all of this Raina rolled her eyes. She was about to leave, not interested in any conflict. But then VK spoke.

"Oh, if it isn't the coward dog. Come here to submit to the ruler of this world? Perhaps I'll spare your people if you give me a nice offering." Said VK confidently as he caught her why wolf with his telekinesis. "Perhaps I'll take him-"

Suddenly Raina disappeared and VK felt a sharp pain in his stomach. He looked down to inspect his body and saw the werewolf Queen's transformed arm going clean through his abdomen and out the other side

"Dumb cat." Said Raina in a bored tone as VK teleported away quickly and into the air.

The apex of vampires against the apex of werewolves. The two gave each other one last glare before engaging in the most intense and destructive battle of this world's history.
